A weekly column highlighting the Port Charles happenings during the past week on General Hospital. Read below to find out what you missed or to refresh your memory in time for next week.

Monday

Jordan (Briana Henry) told Portia (Brooke Kerr) and Trina (Sydney Mikayla) that Cyrus Renault (Jeff Koer) wasn’ t the threat he once was. When Taggert was brought out, Trina urged her dad to change his plea. Cyrus interrupted Martin’s (Michael E. Knight) celebration with Laura (Genie Francis) and told them he had good news. But Renault’s mood changed when Martin commented Florence was fine. Martin admitted although he didn’t know where she was now, he did see their mother a month ago. Jason (Steve Burton) warned Carly (Laura Wright) there were no shortcuts to getting him out. Carly begged to differ as she just had a talk with Cyrus Renault. She told Jason that the witness was Gladys Corbin. TJ (Taj Bellows) helped Curtis (Donnell Turner) get the nightclub ready. Cameron (William Lipton) entered. He suggested Curtis get the social media profile set up for the club. Although he doesn’t work for him, Cameron told Curtis he wanted to pay him back for what he did for him. “I want to take responsibility for Franco’s death” Peter (Wes Ramsey) told Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst). He explained if The Invader article caused Franco’s murder, Peter suggested he help convict Jason Morgan in the court of public opinion. Liz lunged for Peter when he insisted he’s being wrongly accused like Franco was. Finn (Michael Easton) had to hold her back. Finn told Peter if there’s any justice he’d pay for his crimes. After Taggert changed his plea, the judge asked to see the lawyers in his chambers. Liesl (Kathleen Gati) hated being summoned by Anna (Finola Hughes). Ms. Devane told Dr. Obretch how Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) attempted to kill Peter. She added it was because he was triggered by Dr. Kirk, questioning Obretch’s relationship with the late doctor. Anna warned Liesl with Dr. Kirk dead if Dante is triggered again she’ll know the doctor had a partner and be forced to come after that person. Liesel felt blame for not protecting Franco by realizing Peter would come after him once he learned Baldwin was hearing Drew’s voice in his head. Anna told Liesl that she wanted Peter to pay by spending the rest of his life behind bars. Since Liesl wanted Drew and Franco to still be alive, she reminded that we didn’t always get what we wanted. TJ asked Curtis whether he and Jordan would be sitting together at TJ’s medical school graduation and also if they were getting a divorce. The judge accepted the plea change and granted bail after Jordan took responsibility by saying in addition to wearing an ankle monitor he’d be staying with her. Jason realized Gladys must have seen Peter ditching the gun. He told Carly they couldn’t accept Cyrus’ deal. Cyrus made Laura doubt Martin by telling her how his little brother helped Julian Jerome escape and also called him (Cyrus) so he’d get to Jerome before Sonny (Maurice Benard). Before leaving The Metro Court, Cyrus commented he and Martin weren’t so different except Cyrus was honest about who he was. Floored by the information, Laura rescinded her invitation for Martin to join her family celebrating Easter. When Peter saw Liesl at GH, he gloated despite her efforts there was no evidence to bring him down. But Obretch countered by saying since he’d lost his only supporters in Anna and Valentin, Henrik’s day of reckoning was coming. Carly came to see Anna and said they needed to talk.

Tuesday

Sam (Kelly Monaco) and Diane (Carolyn Hennessey) urged Alexis (Nancy Grahan) not to change her plea to guilty. Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) entered and commented on taking responsibility for her actions, Alexis was allowing herself to heal. Finn (Michael Easton) was worried about Alexis and told Michael (Chad Duell) he wondered what Dante would say in court. Curtis (Donnell Turner) and Laura (Genie Francis) talked about Jordan (Briana Henry). Meanwhile, Taggert (Réal Andrews) moved into Jordan’s place. Brando (Johnny Wactor) questioned Gladys about who was paying for her to stay at The Metro Court…was it anyone he knew. Peter (Wes Ramsey) left a message for Cyrus reminding he was supposed to take care of the allegations August killed Franco Baldwin. Cyrus urged Jason (Steve Burton) to take the deal, especially with the upcoming meeting with the Five Families. Carly (Laura Wright) explained to Anna (Finola Hughes) she was there because Jason trusted Ms. Devane. Carly told Anna that Gladys Corbin, Sonny’s cousin, was the eyewitness who came forward to the police and said she saw Jason toss the gun. She believed Gladys saw Peter but was being paid by Renault to say she saw Jason. Peter overheard Brando and Gladys talking. After Brando walked away, Peter said he got the feeling they’ve met before. Gladys knew the publisher of The Invader. Peter suggested Gladys give her account of seeing Jason with the murder weapon. Cyrus appeared and said that wasn’t a good idea as she could be a target for Jason if Morgan was released on bail. Michael arrived to visit Jason. He commented how being in lockup must be hard on Jason now that his father (Sonny) is gone. “You didn’t ask me if I did it.” Jason said. Knowing Gladys like he did, Michael knew she was lying. Anna’s plan was to get Gladys to implicate Peter. To aid in the plan, she asked Valentin to come over. Laura told Curtis about the things Martin (Michael E. Knight) had done and said with her sister Amy being gone all these years, she liked the idea of having a sibling. With Sonny being gone and Jason jailed, Michael reasoned it was up to him to represent the Corinthos family in business. But Jason reminded Sonny never wanted Michael to have any part in his business. Curtis found Taggert at Jordan’s. Judge Carson took the bench for Alexis’ hearing. Anna told Valentin it was Peter who killed Jason, and Valentin was going to help them prove it.

Wednesday

“Taggert’s going to be staying with me for awhile” Jordan (Briana Henry) told Curtis (Donnell Turner). Anna (Finola Hughes) reminded Carly (Laura Wright) to stick to the plan and not improvise. Carly assured she would follow what they decided because Jason (Steve Burton) needed her. As Carly opened the door, she found Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers) standing there. “What do we have here?” Robert asked, curious. At The Metro Court, Peter (Wes Ramsey) approached Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) at the bar and said “It’s not going to work.” Britt (Kelly Thiebauld) came to check on Maxie (Kristen Storms) and asked what steps she was taking to protect herself and her child from Peter. Judge Carson took the bench for Alexis’ (Nancy Grahan) hearing. Jordan told Curtis that Taggert was staying with her because she had to vouch for him in order for him to be granted bail. After Carly left, Robert commented that the only thing Anna and Carly had in common was sitting in a holding cell at the PCPD. Anna told Robert that Jason didn’t kill Franco. “Peter did.” Meanwhile, Peter confronted Valentin by saying he ruined his life when he delivered him to Faison as a baby but he wouldn’t do it now. Maxie told Britt she had a plan. She wanted Britt to help convince Peter the baby was stillborn, reminding it was the only way for Peter to leave her and the baby alone. Molly (Haley Pullos) expressed her fear to TJ (Taj Bellows) that her mother could be looking at twenty years in prison. When the judge asked her how she plea, Alexis answered “I plead guilty.” The prosecution had no objection to Alexis’ plea so Judge Carson granted it. She added she reviewed Dante’s (Dominic Zamprogna) written statement of the events but wanted to hear his testimony. Taggert assured Curtis he never meant to come between him and Jordan. Robert listened to Anna’s explanation of the circumstances of Franco’s murder and agreed Peter was guilty. Now all they had to do was prove it. Peter warned Valentin if he kept it up he’d regret it. Carly came off the elevator, glanced at Valentin then approached Gladys. She said Ms. Corbin was lying when she saw Jason with the gun. Carly said she and her son Brando were a disgrace to the family and Gladys wouldn’t get away with lying. Dante spoke on Alexis’ behalf saying she had a disease with her drinking and she needed help, not punishment. He added he forgave her. Alexis spoke of her respect for the law and her remorse for her actions. She said she didn’t want to cause her family any more pain and was ready to accept the court’s punishment. Judge Carson called a recess. When she returned, Judge Carson sentenced Alexis to three years in Pentonville but gave her a week to get her affairs in order. Alexis assured her girls she’d be okay. Playing his part, Valentin came to Gladys’ defense. He asked her out for a drink where he talked of his dislike for Carly and she mentioned her son Brando’s (Johnny Wactor) job with Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober). Britt reminded Maxie if she went through with her plan to make Peter believe their baby didn’t make it she’d have to lie to her family to prevent the truth from coming out…was she ready to do that? Carly confronted Peter threatening to convince The Invader’s advertisers to pull out from his rag of a paper. Peter warned Carly she no longer had the protection of her husband. Carly said she could protect her family.

Thursday

Josslyn (Eden McCoy) brought Cameron (William Lipton) some chocolate chip cookies. “Why can’t I see my dad?” Jake (Hudson West) asked Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst). Scott (Kin Shriner) visited Jason (Steve Burton) and gloated he couldn’t wait to see Morgan go before a judge and jury for Franco’s murder. Liesl (Kathleen Gati) left a frantic message for Britt (Kelly Thiebauld) about Peter (Wes Ramsey). Jax (Ingo Radmacher) stepped in when Carly and Peter’s confrontation got heated. Elizabeth told Jake going to the jail to see his father wasn’t a good idea. Cameron said Jason killed Franco and Jake had to accept that. He added their mom even believed Jason was guilty. But after talking with Josslyn, Cameron apologized to his brother for the things he said about Jake’s dad. Jake didn’t accept Cameron’s apology because he didn’t take back the things he said. Elizabeth decided to take Jake to see Franco. Mike/Sonny (Maurice Benard) asked Nina (Cynthia Watros) whether she’s decided to do an article on Nixon Falls. Their conversation was interrupted when Liesl called Nina. She said she was at her wits end and didn’t know what to do. Liesl told Nina that Peter killed Franco and she was worried for Maxie’s safety. Elijah met Nina and asked about her and Mike/Sonny. Nina lied they just met. Liesl came to the jail and told Scott that Jason didn’t kill Franco, Peter August did. She told Scott that Anna Devane believed Peter was guilty too. Liesl told Jason she’d work for his freedom and to prove Peter’s guilt. She told Scott it was time to celebrate Franco’s life. Josslyn and Cameron argued because he believed Jason killed Franco and she didn’t. Before angrily storming out, Josslyn said she couldn’t be friends with someone who’s anger made him close minded. Liesl told Scott it was her fault Franco was dead because she didn’t take quick enough action against Peter. Carly told Jax that Peter killed Franco and how Cyrus paid Gladys Corbin to lie to incriminate Jason. Peter came to see Maxie. He gave her a memento from his childhood: A stuffed teddy bear that was the last thing he had from his adopted parents. After Peter left, Britt told Maxie that Peter lied the stuffed bear was from Faison. She agreed to help Maxie pretend her baby was stillborn. Jason was surprised when Elizabeth brought Jake (Hudson West) to the jail to see him. Jake gave his dad the painting he did from the time they went to see The Woodchucks. Jason assured Jake he didn’t kill Franco, adding he’d never kill someone who meant so much to Jake. He told Jake he didn’t have to fight for him. Josslyn angrily told Cameron she couldn’t be friends with someone who was so twisted up with hate he couldn’t entertain the possibility he was wrong. While Elijah asked his people to find out what they could about Nina Reeves, she and Sonny/Mike grew closer.

Friday

Peter (Wes Ramsey) read The Invader’s latest editorial about Jason (Steve Burton) titled The End of the Terror. Jackie (Kim Delaney) told Peter she wanted no part of him or his paper. At the courthouse, Anna (Finola Hughes) approached Robert (Tristan Rogers) and said she needed his help.

Scott woke up and found women’s lingerie in his bed. Liesl (Kathleen Gati) came out from the shower. They both admitted they didn’t regret their night together. At The Tano-o, Nina (Cynthia Watros) walked in on Mike/Sonny (Maurice Benard) and Phyllis (Juliette Jeffers) sharing a dance. Carly (Laura Wright) read an article. Jason told Carly he wasn’t getting out on bail. Cameron (William Lipton) told Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) he hoped Jason Morgan got what he deserved. Both Josslyn (Eden McCoy) and Trina (Sydney Mikayla) received acceptance letters to PCU. Phyllis suggested Mike/Sonny take Nina to The Firehouse Dance. Finn had coffee with Chase and talked about how much he missed Anna. Peter reminded Jackie she had a two year contract with The Invader that he had no intention of letting her out. While Anna was asking Robert (Tristan Rogers) to help Jason get out on bail, Diane (Carolyn Henessey) was telling Carly that Jason’s rap sheet would ensure bail was denied. Cameron came to The Jerome Gallery and congratulated Trina and Josslyn on their college acceptances. Carly told Jason that Peter was the voice of the people and the article was done hoping to sway the judge. She said if Peter could play dirty, so could she. Peter presented his press pass and sat behind Anna at the arraignment. He commented he was surprised to see her. She said she was there because Jason means something to Robin. Chase approached his mother at The Metro Court bar and told her his concern was for his dad who he viewed as Gregory (Gregory Harrison) and always would. He told his mother he planned to meet with Gregory alone to figure things out. Robert told Judge Peterson the state didn’t object to Mr. Morgan was granted bail as he has children and business interest in Port Charles so wasn’t considered a flight risk. Josslyn again argued with Cameron and angrily said he’d make her decision to attend Southern Coastal University. However, she later learned she was placed on the pending students list. Commenting he knows she wasn’t the woman from his dream because they just met, Mike/Sonny commented he wondered whether he’d ever remember the woman. Judge Peterson viewed Jason as a public danger and denied bail remanding him to Pentonville until his trial. Carly told Peter he’s so used to getting away with lying but that was going to end.
