A weekly column highlighting the Port Charles happenings during the past week on General Hospital. Read below to find out what you missed or to refresh your memory in time for next week.

Monday

Chase (Josh Swickward) came to the Quartermaine mansion and told Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) he, his mom, Finn and his dad were having a family sit down. He said he changed his mind because of her. Ned (Wally Kurth) came over telling Michael (Chad Duell) he wanted to check on Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) because he was worried about his daughter. Olivia (Lisa LoCicero) stopped Brook Lynn from eating sushi because it was bad for her during her pregnancy. Ned entered seeing what was going on between his wife and daughter. He asked Brook Lynn whether she was more concerned with using her baby as leverage then with its health. Carly (Laura Wright) came to Valentin’s hotel room (James Patrick Stuart) and told him Jason (Steve Burton) was sent to Pentonville right where Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) wanted him. Carly suggested Valentin had another chance encounter with Gladys. Cyrus read online about Jason being denied bail. Kevin (Jon Lindstrom) and Laura (Genie Francis) talked about Cyrus and Martin (Michael E. Knight). Nikolas (Marcus Coloma) apologized to Ava (Maura West) for not seeming happy about their renewal ceremony. He was upset because Spencer was not returning his calls. Martin interrupted. He reminded Nikolas they were family. Nikolas told Ava how Uncle Martin helped Julian (William DeVry) get away. Brando (Johnny Wactor) told Sasha (Sofia Mattsson) the truth about him pretending to be Dev’s father. Sasha promised to keep his secret. As Carly watched, Gladys approached Valentin at The Metro Court bar and joined him for a drink. Sasha and Brando witnessed the exchange. Ms. Gilmore warned Brando about Valentin. Brando came over and Gladys introduced her son to Valentin. Brando pulled his mother away and told her to be careful as far as Valentin was concerned. Valentin used the time alone to take Gladys’ phone and scroll down her recent calls. He sent a text to himself of one frequent number she got calls from. When Gladys returned and asked what he was doing with her phone, Valentin lied he was adding his number so they could avoid chance encounters. While Martin warned Nikolas that Cyrus could be working to pull Laura into his world, Renault showed up at the mayor’s home and again tried to get her to help him find his mother. Kevin arrived at The Jerome Gallery to pick up the painting Franco bequeathed to him. He gave Ava a package he picked up from out front. When she opened it, Ava dropped the box to the floor and the rubber hand fell out. Nikolas strong armed Cyrus and warned him to stay away from his mother. Cyrus made a veiled threat about Nikolas helping him if he wanted to protect his family. Before settling into bed, Brook Lynn removed the fake pregnancy stomach she’d been sporting.

Tuesday

Sasha (Sofia Mattsson) walked in on Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) and Michael (Chad Duell) in an intimate conversation. Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) talked with Lois on the phone and told her mother Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) would make a good father as she removed the fake pregnancy stomach. At The Metro Court, Valentin told Carly (Laura Wright) the phone used to text Gladys was paid for with cash so it can’t be traced to Cyrus. Carly said that meant Jason (Steve Burton) would remain in Pentonville until his trial. Ava (Maura West) opened the box and screamed, dropping it to the floor. It was a fake rubber hand with a note signed ‘R.’ Nikolas (Marcus Coloma) told Cyrus his last name was Cassadine so he wasn’t easily intimidated. Cyrus laughed reminding they were family. Nikolas commented on his grandmother Helena (Constance Towers) saying that before she died. Cyrus offered to use his vast contacts to ensure Alexis’ (Nancy Grahan) safety while she was in Pentonville. Sam (Kelly Monaco) came over to Alexis’ house. Her mother wanted to go out and have dinner at a restaurant while she still could. Alexis gave her daughter her important paperwork and necessary Power of Attorney. The prison advocate Diane arranged arrived to help Alexis prepare for prison life. She encouraged Ms. Davis to get rid of her sense of humor as her joking could offend the wrong people. Valentin noticed a look on Carly’s face he’d never seen before…fear. Willow told Brook Lynn how she was unsure how Michael felt about her. Sasha and Michael realized they were taking it slow hoping their old feelings for each other would return. But if they hadn’t by now, they probably wouldn’t. Chase (Josh Swickward) bagged the fake hand and questioned Ava about whether she and Nikolas had any enemies. After Cyrus left, Nikolas told his mother this all could have been avoided if Laura helped Renault get his mother back. He thought Laura should have allowed Cyrus and Jason to kill each other. Nikolas decided he had to do what Cyrus wanted because he couldn’t live with himself if something happened to Alexis. When he overheard Carly leaving a message for Diane asking her to arrange a visit for her with Jason, Cyrus reminded he could help free Jason. He added that with Sonny gone and Jason jailed, Carly and her children didn’t occupy his thoughts. Alexis learned her prison advocate spent time in prison herself for shooting her abusive husband three times. The woman told Alexis helping other women adjust to prison life gave her purpose, suggesting Alexis find something to give herself purpose. Nikolas returned to The Jerome Gallery. Before they shared the strange day they both had, Mr. and Mrs. Cassadine admitted they were in trouble. Kevin came home. Laura told her husband what happened between Cyrus and Nikolas. Sasha and Michael broke up. Brook Lynn tripped and fell to the floor when her shoe heel broke. Valentin insisted on taking her to GH to get checked out by a doctor.

Wednesday

Alexis (Nancy Grahan) comforted Kristina (Lexi Ainsworth), assuring her daughter everything would be okay. Molly (Haley Pullos) arrived. Alexis thanked her daughters for coming over. Chase (Josh Swickward) ran into Finn (Michael Easton) and Violet at GH and told Finn there was something he needed to talk with him about. Cyrus (Jeff Kober) was annoyed when Brando (Johnny Wactor) appeared distracted. He wondered what Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) could want with Gladys when Brando told him he saw his mother with Cassadine. Their speculation was interrupted by Nikolas’ (Marcus Coloma) arrival. Cyrus told Brando to leave so he could speak with Nikolas alone. Nikolas agreed to find Florence but said he could easily keep her himself. Cyrus and Nikolas reached an agreement: Nikolas was given a little time to find Florence before Cyrus gave the word and made Alexis’ prison stay a living Hell. Meanwhile, Britt (Kelly Thiebauld) agreed to check Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) to make sure the baby was okay after Valentin told her Brook Lynn had a traumatic fall. After Brook Lynn was in an examining room, Anna appeared. Valentin told her what happened and how disappointing Brook Lynn’s lack of concern was. He also commented how he’d come to care about the baby in such a short amount of time. Brook Lynn worried how she’d get through an ultrasound because her fake pregnant stomach didn’t have a heartbeat. Chase told Finn he arranged a family dinner to sit down and talk. Finn thought it was too soon for Violet to know. Gregory (Gregory Harrison) arrived and the little girl rushed into his arms. He was at GH to pick up a prescription. Violet noticed everyone was acting weird so Chase took the little girl to get something from the vending machine. She thanked Chase for allowing her to have ice cream before dinner then said how she always wanted a brother or sister. Alexis asked Molly and Kristina to move into her house to keep an eye on things while she was in prison. She commented she’d miss their bickering and was saddened to miss Molly’s law school graduation. When Alexis left the room to make hot cocoa, Kristina told her sister she had a way their mother wouldn’t miss the graduation. Peter (Wes Ramsey) thanked Maxie (Kristen Storms) for calling him after she thought she was in labor because of contractions. Britt pulled Peter out of the room and told him Maxie’s blood pressure was elevated because of the stress he was causing her. Brook Lynn listened from the other room and ended up swiping Maxie’s ultrasound photo of the baby. She lied to Britt that another doctor performed the ultrasound then gave the photo to daddy Valentin. Gregory told Finn he couldn’t attend the family dinner Chase arranged because he didn’t want to see Finn with Jackie (Kim Delaney). But after Finn told him to do it for Chase, Gregory later told Chase he’d be there. Nikolas came to see Alexis. After thanking her for helping him not to become a total Cassadine, Nikolas promised he’d look out for her. Peter told Cyrus that the only connection between Jason Morgan and Valentin Cassadine was Anna Devane, who would want to prove Morgan innocent. Glancing at Finn, Peter assured Cyrus it wouldn’t be a problem.

Thursday

Alexis (Nancy Grahan) looked at her mother’s watch and was lost in thought. We saw earlier that day when she was joined by Finn (Michael Easton, Jax (Ingo Radmacher) and Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) for a goodbye breakfast before she left for prison. She apologized to Ned (Wally Kurth) for ruining his marriage to Olivia (Lisa LoCicero). She then went to the Quartermaine mansion to see Dante (Dominic Zamprogna). During her therapy session with Kevin (Jon Lindstrom), Alexis commented how she was a respected attorney who threw it all away for Neil Byrnes. She also told him she didn’t have many memories of her father. But remembered an argument between parents. Alexis angrily assured she was a woman with daddy issues defined by a man. She told Kevin about a repressed memory from her childhood where her father Mikkos came one Christmas and gave her mother a watch. They then argued and her mother Kristin threatened to tell Mikkos’ wife about her and Natasha (Alexis). Mikkos slapped Kristin, knocking her to the floor. Little girl Alexis, who was watching the scene from the top of the stairs, rushed to her mother’s defense. She picked up the watch and told Mikkos he’d broken it. With tears in her eyes, Alexis was finally able to tell her younger self that she was a child and it wasn’t her fault. When she returned, Alexis was touched when her family and friends gathered for the impromptu law school graduation ceremony for Molly arranged by her and Kristina. Alexis placed her mother’s watch on the table. At Pentonville, she was escorted inside the cell where she’d be spending the next three years of her life. Alexis met her new cellmate. The woman was preparing for her appeal. “My name is Alexis Davis. I think I can help you” Alexis said having found a purpose behind bars.

Friday

Nikolas (Marcus Coloma) told Ava (Maura West) that Martin Grey (Michael E. Knight) was meeting him. Scott (Kin Shriner) came to see Laura (Genie Francis) and told her Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) didn’t kill Franco (Roger Howath), Peter August (Wes Ramsey) did. He explained how Liesl (Kathleen Gati) convinced him as they’ve been spending time together grieving over Franco. Scott commented that he’s been a lawyer all his life so it was time he used the law to his advantage. Anna (Finola Hughes) was surprised when Peter arrived saying he needed to speak with her. He congratulated Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) on becoming a father again. Peter said he hoped their (his and Valentin) children would be as close as they used to be before all the lies were spread. He offered Anna and Valentin a deal. When they declined, Peter warned they’d regret their decision. Carly (Laura Wright) visited Jason in Pentonville and again vowed to do whatever it took to get him out of there. But Jason strongly urged her to be patient. Chase (Josh Swickward), Jackie (Kim Delaney) and Gregory (Gregory Harrison) arrive at the restaurant for the family sit down. While Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) talked about how she felt caught between Jake (Hudson West) and Cameron (William Lipton) in their disagreement over whether Jason killed Franco, Finn (Michael Easton) said working in infectious disease was easy; it was family that was hard. Jax (Ingo Radmacher) brought Josslyn (Eden McCoy) to GH’s ER when she sprained her ankle. Josslyn explained she was waitlisted for Southern Coastal University. So, she had to show them she belonged there both academically and athletically. Carly left Pentonville when Jax texted her about Josslyn being in the ER. Jason’s next visitor was someone he never expected to see: Scott. Baldwin told Jason he no longer believed he killed Franco. As he promised his son nothing would happen to Morgan if Jason decided to follow Franco’s wishes to kill him if he reverted back to his old tumor personality, Scott told Jason he’d help him along with Diane. After Finn got there, Gregory told the group how he wasn’t a victim and was proud of the two strong, worthwhile men he’d raised. He urged Finn, Chase and Jackie that they have to find a way to look towards the future if for nothing else, for Violet’s sake. Chase commented even though Gregory taught him to take the high ground, he didn’t know whether he could this time. Finn added that you can’t change the past. Peter gave a waiter at the restaurant a vial and said it was “To give Dr. Finn a taste of his own medicine.” Laura asked Ava to convince Nikolas not to get involved with Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober). Josslyn was told she couldn’t play in the upcoming volleyball tournament because it would make her sprain worse. After learning from Martin about Florence’s love of Hummingbird Cake, Nikolas tracked down a bakery in Vermont, who’s baker was from North Carolina. He smiled and told Ave finding Florence would be a piece of cake. Carly said they’d discuss it on the ride home. Peter returned to Anna’s. She said they change their minds about his deal. Peter smirked that offer ended the moment he left. He was shocked when Valentin pulled a gun on him. Finn, Chase, Jackie and Gregory pulled Russian roulette with their drinks. Who would end up with the beverage containing the drug vial?
