A weekly column highlighting the Port Charles happenings during the past week on General Hospital. Read below to find out what you missed or to refresh your memory in time for next week.

Monday

Willow (Katelyn MacMuellen) brought Chase (Josh Swickward) a cup of Perks coffee. But he dropped it. Finn (Michael Easton) worked on creating an antidote. When Anna (Finola Hughes) arrived, he apologized for some of the things he said. Peter (Wes Ramsey) called Maxie (Kristen Storms) wanting a visit. But Maxie lied she had a restless night and her blood pressure was elevated so she ought to rest. Peter then texted Anna telling her time was running out for Chase and he wanted to see Maxie now. Anna left and Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) entered asking how it was going. He expressed his fear for Chase. Elizabeth talked about Cameron (William Lipton) blaming Jason (Steve Burton) for Franco’s death. Lenny asked Mike/Sonny (Maurice Benard) how he’d feel if Nina (Cynthia Watros) got back together with her ex. Phyllis (Juliette Jeffers) asked the same question of Nina. But Ms. Reeves said she didn’t know if Jax (Ingo Radmacher) wanted her back. Olivia (Lisa LoCicero) told Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) she was worried about Maxie and wanted her son to reach out to her. Dante responded Maxie had his number and could contact him. After Dante left, Olivia discussed with Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) her plan to use her baby to gain Valentin’s (James Patrick Stuart) ELQ shares. She then talked about Maxie and how she was protecting her child from a dangerous man like Olivia did with Dante. Anna came to Maxie’s and asked her for a favor: Would she consider seeing Peter? She explained she wasn’t asking for her but for someone else and something bad would happen if Maxie refused. Anna was forced to tell Maxie the truth. Ms. Jones agreed to see Peter to save Chase. Finn told Chase he was exposed to a toxin but he and the lab are working on an antidote. Later, a disorientated Chase believed he and Willow were married. Then, he suffered convulations. Jax woke up and told Nina how he thought he saw Sonny. Elijah warned Lenny that crime seems to follow Mike where he goes. Mike/Sonny and Phyllis were outside Jax’s room. Phyllis went inside to visit.

Tuesday

Jason (Steve Burton) told Carly (Laura Wright) he chose to stay at GH instead of running because he didn’t want to make a bad situation worse. Britt (Kelly Monaco) saw her access to Cyrus’ (Jeff Kober) drug file was still denied. Cyrus came behind her and again caught her. Britt asked why her access to Cyrus’ drug file was denied. Cyrus said because the board didn’t support him, he viewed it as a conflict of interest if the Chief of Staff could see his work. Jax (Ingo Radmacher) told Nina (Cynthia Watros) he laid the groundwork so she’d have a relationship with Wiley if she came back to Port Charles. Elizabeth told Laura (Genie Francis) she was beginning to question whether Jason killed Franco. Willow (Katelyn MacMuellen) told Michael (Chad Duell) that nothing that happened in the hospital with Chase (Josh Swickward) will change how she felt about him (Michael). Chase overheard Finn (Michael Easton) saying he wouldn’t lose him so he asked how he was doing. Peter (Wes Ramsey) gloated he was smarter than Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) because Maxie (Kristen Storms) was starting to come around. Maxie was flabbergasted when Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) pulled up her shirt and revealed her fake pregnancy stomach. She explained how she slept with Valentin and hoped to use his devotion with fatherhood to get ELQ back for her family…and that’s where Maxie came in. Carly told Jason with Sonny gone the business was like a runaway bus without a driver. And she couldn’t handle it alone. Carly asked Jason to trust her and do this for her. Britt entered and announced they had a problem. She told Carly and Jason about her denied access to Cyrus’ file and his warning to stay out of Jason’s room. Britt said this meant Cyrus knew they were working together. Jason warned Britt she and those she cared for could be in danger. Britt sadly said she didn’t have many people who cared about her…not even her mother. “Is it perverse that a small part of me wants to see a Liesl Cyrus showdown?” Britt asked. Michael told Willow about his talk with Jax about Nina spending time with Wiley. He said the hard part would be convincing his mother. Britt decided to work with Carly on her plan to spring Jason from custody. At The Metro Court, Scott (Kin Shriner) ran into Liesl (Kathleen Gati) and mentioned the voice mail messages he’d left for her. Peter approached the duo and Kin accused August of killing Franco. Nina told Jax she was happy in Nixon Falls and wouldn’t return to Port Charles based on the possibility that Michael would let her have a place in Wiley’s life. She told him to call her if it became definite. Elizabeth asked Finn about what was in the syringe he injected into Chase’s IV. Britt called Liesl and told her mother she needed to find a place to stay because she could be in danger. Liesl asked Scott whether she could stay with him. He happily accepted his new roommate. Laura told Cyrus they couldn’t have a sibling relationship because she neither respected nor trusted him. After Peter called her about the live-in nurse, Maxie reluctantly agreed to allow Brook Lynn to pass her baby off as her own to keep Maxie’s daughter safe from Peter.

Wednesday

Thursday

Trina (Sydney Mikayla) and Cameron (William Lipton) brought Josslyn (Eden McCoy) to GH because she hurt her sprained ankle playing a warm up game. But when Dr. Robinson (Brooke Kerr) asked how she reinjured her ankle, Josslyn said she hurt it when she accidentally stepped in a pothole. After an MRI, Portia told Josslyn she was only millimeters away from tearing her ligament. So, Josslyn’s volleyball season was over. Brick (Stephen A. Smith) and Carly (Laura Wright) discussed her plan for breaking Jason out of GH. Part of the plan included keeping Cyrus busy while everything went down. Ava (Maura West) told Nikolas (Marcus Coloma) she was terrified because he helped Cyrus (Jeff Kober) get his mother back. She explained she was worried he would end up like Julian (William deVry) because he proved himself to be useful. Nikolas assured nothing would happen to him because he had too much to live for. Laura (Genie Francis) was surprised to see Scott (Kin Shriner) and Liesl (Kathleen Gati) together. After cautioning him, Laura greeted Liesl then left. Liesl commented how she admired the mayor for withholding judgement. She then told him she was determined to find out the threat against her. Josslyn and Trina plan to go to Nixon Falls to visit Jax. Sam (Kelly Monaco) brought Danny to visit his dad. Going out into the hall with Britt, Sam was surprised as Chief of Staff Britt was seeing Jason’s care personally. Alexis (Nancy Grahan) was scrubbing the cell floors when the warden approached her and said she had a new assignment. After Nikolas left, Ava got an unexpected visit from Cyrus. He said he wanted to thank her husband for getting his mother returned to him but reminded her his business with her husband was far from concluded. Then he picked up a photo of Avery and commented how much she looked like her father. Laura came over to the Corinthos house where Carly introduced her to Brick. After Brick left, Carly told Laura it was important that she spent time with Cyrus. Nikolas visited Alexis in Pentonville. Alexis told him about her cushy work assignment in the prison library and asked what he did for Cyrus to get Renault to do favors for him. Nikolas told his aunt about the return of Cyrus’ missing mother and assured Cyrus didn’t know what he was capable of. Britt was surprised to learn of her mother’s involvement with Scott. Cyrus’ henchman called him and told him how Dr. Westbourne was with Jason Morgan like he said. After learning Jason was in GH, Cameron paid him a visit. Ava arrived at the Corinthos house and told Carly that Avery was in trouble.

Friday

Ava (Maura West) told Carly (Laura Wright) that Avery (Ava and Grace Scarola) were in trouble and it had to do with Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober). Nina asked Mike/Sonny (Maurice Benard) for a coffee to go to bring to her friend Jax (Ingo Radmacher) in the hospital. Jax told Phyllis (Juliette Jeffers) he was putting a pause on his pursuit of Nina but wasn’t giving up because she was worth fighting for. Her cellmate warned Alexis (Nancy Grahan) that special treatment puts a target on her back. Sean (Sean Blakemore) greeted Alexis. Trina (Sydney Mikayla) and Josslyn (Eden McCoy) had car trouble on their way to Nixon Falls. Britt (Kelly Thiebauld) called Carly (Laura Wright) to confirm rescheduling of her appointment (i.e. breaking Jason out of GH) next Thursday. Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) questioned Britt about the extra janitorial staff approved by HR. Jason (Steve Burton) told the guard Cameron (William Lipton) could stay because they needed to talk. Mike/Sonny commented Nina driving all the way to Port Charles and back to Nixon Falls was a long drive if she was finished with Jax. Phyllis said she hoped Jax arranging for Nina to spend time with her grandfather wasn’t a ploy to get her back. Trina asked Josslyn whether what’s going on with her and Cameron had less to do with Jason and more to do with the two of them. Cameron told Jason when he looked at him he didn’t see Jake’s (Hudson West) father but Franco’s killer. Britt told Elizabeth if Jason being there bothered her perhaps they needed to discuss her status at GH. Ava told Carly and Laura about Cyrus picking up Ava’s picture and saying she looked like her father. “Now you see why I needed your help” Carly told Laura. The Major agreed Cyrus threatened a child and that made him more dangerous than she thought. Laura told Carly they (she, Ava and Carly) needed to work together to bring Cyrus down. Elijah interrupted Nina and Mike/Sonny’s conversation and said trust was the key to any relationship. Phyllis told Jax if Nina wanted to return to him and Port Charles he had to let her come to him. Trina said she had to tell Josslyn the truth about someone. Sean and Alexis talked about their choices that lead them to Pentonville, their past relationship and TJ (Taj Bellows) and Molly’s (Haley Pullos) domestic partnership. Sean told Alexis how he got a business degree while in prison. Britt suggested Elizabeth take a leave of absence. Ava assured Carly she wasn’t there to ask for help, she was there to offer it. Nina told Elijiah and Mike/Sonny to play nice then left. Elijah told Mike/Sonny since they both cared about Nina, Lenny and Phyllis they didn’t have to be enemies. Trina told Josslyn about Dev stealing her journal before he died. Britt agreed to table the discussion for Elizabeth to take a leave of absence. But told her to take the rest of the day off with pay. Phyllis walked in on Elijah and Mike/Sonny having yet another argument. She angrily asked whether this is how they repaid her for accepting both of them as family. Nina was surprised to see Josslyn in Nixon Falls. She panicked when the teen told her Trina was on her way to The Tan-o. Britt and Jason agreed it was better if Cameron believed he killed Franco to keep him safe from Peter. Ava called Cyrus and told him she invited his brother Martin (Michael E. Knight) and Laura to dinner. Carly warned Ava she better not be planning to double cross her. But Ava assured for the first time they were on the same side.
