A weekly column highlighting the Port Charles happenings during the past week on General Hospital. Read below to find out what you missed or to refresh your memory in time for next week.

Monday

Trina (Sydney Mikayla) visited Curtis (Donnell Turner) in his hospital room and urged him to wake up and give her a chance to apologize. At GH, Sam (Kelly Monaco) asked Jordan (Briana Henry) about Curtis. After she walked away, Laura (Genie Francis) approached and also inquired about Curtis. Stella (Vernee Watson) arrived and wanted to know what happened to her nephew. Jordan explained Curtis was shot by Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober), who she shot. Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) panicked when Bailey wasn’t in her bassinet. Maxie (Kirsten Storms) had a dream she was holding Louise. “How am I going to do this?” wondered Maxie. “Do what?” Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) asked as he appeared at the door. He told her he needed to hear from her what happened because he got the feeling something was going on she wasn’t saying. “Are you implying Maxie was responsible for her own baby being kidnapped?” Sam demanded. Dante assured he wasn’t saying that. Maxie asked Sam to stay while she answered Dante’s questions. Maxie explained about the fake Chloe drugging her to induce labor and how she came after her. But when Dante asked how the woman was able to get her baby away from her, Maxie said she couldn’t do this right now. Brook Lynn found Olivia (Lisa LoCicero) holding the baby. Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) explained Bailey was fussy so he took her for a walk and gave her a bottle so Brook Lynn could get some rest. He commented there’s nothing like a baby to bring a family together. When Ned (Wally Kurth) arrived, Brook Lynn introduced him to his granddaughter. Valentin agreed he’ll keep his promise and sign over the ELQ shares once he’s legally acknowledged as Bailey’s father. But before they both signed the birth certificate, Ned asked Valentin to leave the room so he, his daughter and Olivia could talk. Once they were alone, Ned told Brook Lynn “Forget the shares. Get rid of Valentin.” As Lenny and Phyllis (Juliette Jeffers) told Mike/Sonny (Maurice Benard) couldn’t believe they were so wrong about Elijah, Nina (Cynthia Watros) entered The Tan-o. When Carly (Laura Wright) wasn’t eager to have Jason (Steve Burton) take over the business now that he was back, Jax (Ingo Radmacher) accused her of liking Sonny’s power and not wanting to give it up. Portia (Brook Kerr) commented to Laura how no one would know Cyrus was at her house if Curtis hadn’t called. Laura told Portia how she was with Curtis when he called because he wanted to resolve an unresolved issue between them. Then, Laura visited Curtis. She thanked him for being her friend and said they had more adventures to share together. Mike/Sonny told Lenny he made a mistake with Nina. Meanwhile, Nina told Phyllis about the kiss she shared with Mike/Sonny and how it was a bad idea since he was a man without a past. Jax asked what was going on with Michael (Chad Duell) as he planned to revisit Nina spending time with Wiley. Michael and Willow (Katelyn MacMuellen) played with Wiley until she had to leave to meet her study partner. When he said he forgot how to separate Maxie from being a cop, Sam suggested to Dante that she talk with Maxie to get more information. Jax came to see Michael. Ned told Olivia he planned to be an active grandfather so that meant he’d be coming to the house more. Stella was introduced to Portia. She commented that Curtis may have mentioned Dr. Robinson to her. Stella visited her nephew but Curtis only opened his eyes when Portia sat by his bed. Willow arrived at GH and told Chase wanted to see her. Jax came to see Michael. Carly looked at Sonny’s phone on her phone and said she missed him.

Tuesday

Portia (Brooke Kerr) thanked Curtis (Donnell Turner) for saving her and Trina’s (Sydney Mikayla) lives. Curtis opened his eyes and said “What’d I miss?” Ava (Maura West) and Laura (Genie Francis) discussed Cyrus (Jeff Kober). Nikolas (Marcus Coloma) visited Alexis (Nancy Grahan) and told her his Pentonville deal fell through. But added she didn’t have to worry about Cyrus because Renault was arrested on a slew of charges. When Sean (Sean Blakemore) appeared, Alexis asked about his parole hearing. Sean told her the board denied his parole. Nina (Cynthia Watros) told Mike/Sonny (Maurice Benard) that Phyllis (Juliette Jeffers) was trying to push them together. Mike/Sonny admitted he cared about her as more than a friend. Nina told Mike/Sonny she had feelings for him too but said they could never be together. Jax (Ingo Radmacher) admitted he saw Willow (Katelyn MacMuellen) and Michael (Chad Duell) together. Michael explained how even though they annulled their marriage their feelings for eachother didn’t stop. Michael accused Jax of blackmailing him so he’ll agree Nina could spend time with Wiley by threatening to tell Chase (Josh Swickard) they were together. Nina told Mike/Sonny he didn’t know anything about her and she’d end up breaking his heart. Finn (Michael Easton) had a nightmare about pushing Peter (Wes Ramsey) down the stairs. When Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) appeared she reminded how Peter was using the antidote to hold over his head like some sort of Trojan Horse, her words gave Finn an idea. Chase wanted to take Willow to parents’ place in Nantucket. Laura visited with Curtis and each asked the other how they were doing. She commented how she wondered whether things would have been different if Cyrus found forgiveness in his youth and was given the chance to change. Stella (Vernee Watson) pulled Portia aside. She urged Dr. Robinson to take a step back to give Curtis space to work through his feelings on the loss of his marriage without falling into a rebound relationship. So when Portia came to see Curtis she said their almost kiss was a mistake so she was glad they were in agreement they shouldn’t pursue anything further. Nikolas planned some alone time with Ava. Both were surprised to find a photo of them together with a knife through it. Michael called Nina and told her she could see Wiley if she returned to Port Charles. Nina was torn about leaving Nixon Falls and Mike/Sonny. Finn rushed into Chase’s hospital room and announced he figured it out and knew how to cure him.

Wednesday

Ava (Maura West) told Nikolas (Marcus Coloma) it was Ryan (Jon Lindstrom) who left the photo with the knife through it as a calling card. Britt (Kelly Thiebauld) returned to GH without much fanfare. Liesl (Kathleen Gati) commented about the havoc Peter (Wes Ramsey) wrecked and said if she had her choice she’d rid the world of him years ago. She blamed Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) for Peter’s actions. Maxie (Kirsten Storms) saw photos of Louise on Brook Lynn’s (Amanda Setton) social media page and learned her daughter was renamed Bailey. When Anna entered, Maxie said she hadn’t slept well adding her daughter was just another of Peter’s victims. Finn (Michael Easton) rushed into Chase’s (Josh Swickward) hospital room and announced he figured it out and knew how to cure him. Michael (Chad Duell) called Nina (Cynthia Watros) and told her she could see Wiley if she returned to Port Charles. Nina was torn about leaving Nixon Falls and Mike/Sonny (Maurice Benard). Finn explained everything came to him because he got a new perspective. Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) called Jackie (Kim Delaney) about Chase and asked her to come to GH. Britt assured her mother that Jason (Steve Burton) won’t tell everyone about her diagnosis. Liesl said Britt chose well in a confidant. Britt learned Maxie was admitted. Anna gave Maxie an update on what the police were doing to find Peter. She said she’d try to track down the nurse and find Maxie’s baby. Maxie told Anna to concentrate on finding Peter because her daughter wouldn’t be safe until he’s caught. Britt and Liesl entered. Britt asked where the baby was. Michael reminded Jax (Ingo Radmacher) that Nina had a choice but he took his away from him. Mike/Sonny asked Nina why she was delaying returning to Port Charles as she said she wanted a place in her grandson’s life. Nikolas read the note left and told Ava to call the police. Britt offered to help find Peter. Anna said she’d put Britt in touch with the right people. Liesl told Maxie she should have killed Peter when she had the chance, blaming herself for letting her guard down. Michael told Jax he destroyed their relationship. Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) came to Wyndermere and questioned Ava and Nikolas about the picture. He speculated whoever was sending the things may not be targeting Ava, but Nikolas. Dante reasoned it would probably be better if they lived separately for awhile. Maxie told Britt being kidnapped it didn’t allow her to go through with the plan. Liesl told Anna to a place where they could release their frustrations over Peter and Maxie losing her baby. Donning helmets and protective padding, the duo used crowbars and gold clubs to smash old appliances. When Jackie arrived at GH, Elizabeth took a swap inside her check and Finn explained how it would help Chase’s cure. Mike/Sonny wanted to go with Nina to Port Charles when she visited her grandson but she said it was better to go alone. He did give her a send-off kiss. Michael joined Willow at GH. Finn injected the antidote he created into Chase’s IV. No sooner had Chase said he felt the antidote working, he experienced nose bleeds and seizures. Jackie, Willow were ushered out of the room so Finn and Elizabeth could stabilize him.

Thursday

No sooner had Chase (Josh Swickward) said he felt the antidote working, he experienced nose bleeds and seizures. Jackie (Kim Delaney), Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) were ushered out of the room so Finn (Michael Easton) and Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) could stabilize him. Brando (Johnny Wactor) wheeled Gladys (Bonnie Burroughs) around GH and commented how she’s enjoying the media attention she’s getting. Sasha (Sofia Mattson) appeared. She just had a doctor’s appointment with Dr. Navarro. Martin (Michael Easton) joined Laura (Genie Francis) in the hospital chapel. Laura told him the hospital board would decide on replacing Cyrus (Jeff Kober). Martin asked Laura to visit their brother to find out where he was keeping his mother. Cyrus demanded to see his lawyer but got Carly (Laura Wright) instead. He called his arrest a temporary setback, vowing to use his short time in Pentonville to build his power base. Carly smiled and said where Cyrus was going, Pentonville will seem like a spa. She told him the boat that blew up in the harbor was traced to one of his shell companies so he’d been facing drug and Rico charges. Cyrus warned unless she intervened on his behalf he’d tell the Feds about the Corinthos family giving an illegal alien from Turkey a false identity. “I wonder if they have a mother daughter cell.” Carly told Cyrus she got immunity from the Feds so Dev’s citizenship wouldn’t be investigated. Cyrus warned Carly the deeper she got into the business, the harder it would be to get out. Lenny and Phyllis (Juliette Jeffers) urged Mike/Sonny (Maurice Bernard) to join Nina (Cynthia Watros) in Port Charles. Suddenly, Lenny fell to the floor. Phyllis insisted on taking him to the clinic. Laura visited Cyrus and asked him to tell Martin where he was keeping Phyllis as once Renault was in prison, the people he paid to look after her wouldn’t care. Cyrus countered by asking Laura as the mayor to put in a good word for him so he’d get a lighter sentence. When they were alone, Lenny admitted to Mike/Sonny (Maurice Bernard) he’s been having chest pains and the doctor showed him a picture of his heart and it wasn’t pretty. Mike/Sonny insisted Lenny tell Phyllis. Finn explained to Jackie, Gregory (Gregory Harrison), Willow and Michael he thought the cure would work but Chase’s blood work indicates his symptoms have worsened. Sasha showed Brando the sonogram of their baby. They showed it to Gladys. After Sasha left the room, Gladys told Brando she wasn’t returning to Bridgeport but decided to stay in Port Charles and move in with him to help take care of the baby when it came. Martin called Laura’s cell phone and said he had someone who wanted to speak with Cyrus. Renault was surprised to find his mother on the line. After the call ended, he commented that Carly came through for Martin. Laura said Cyrus had no one to blame for his predicament but himself as with his intelligence and determination he could have done great things and helped people. Before Laura left, Cyrus told her the next time he saw her it would be different because he had nothing to lose. Laura said this time she’d be ready. Finn checked on Chase who asked whether he was going to die. Finn held Chase’s hand.

Friday

Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) watches with a smile on her face Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) showing Bailey the North Star and telling her he’s her North Star and he’ll always be there if she loses her way. Finn (Michael Easton) told Chase (Josh Swickward) the cure he came up with was their last hope. Anna (Finola Hughes) found Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) in the hospital crying and asked whether it was Chase. Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) came to GH to visit Maxie (Kirsten Storms) and expressed how sorry he was for what happened to her. Maxie asked him whether he’d said anything to Georgie about her baby sister. Spinelli answered he thought it best she explained. Then they left GH and Spinelli took Maxie home. Nina (Cynthia Watros) came to the Quartermaine mansion and saw Valentin cradling Bailey. She said she was looking for Michael (Chad Duell). Willow (Katelyn MacMuellen) told Michael that Chase would be devastated if he learned the truth about them. Chase told Finn he had to let Jackie (Kim Delaney) and Gregory (Gregory Harrison) know he (Chase) probably won’t survive. Carly (Laura Wright) arrived at Jax’s (Ingo Radmacher) and demanded to know “What did you do to get Michael to change his mind about Nina?” Carly believed Nina would tell Wiley fairy tales about the type of woman his mother was and that would only confuse him. Jax said he had faith in Nina. Valentin told Nina he and Charlotte (Scarlett Fernandez) moved in there and Uri was Brook Lynn’s bodyguard. Nina told Jax she found something in Nixon Falls she never expected to find. After she left the room, Valentin talked with Bailey thanking her for making a broken man like him better. He added Nina has moved on and it was hard being happy for her. Even though Bailey should be enough, he wanted more. Jackie and Gregory came to see Chase and told him how proud they were of him for being a cop and putting away the bad guys. Jackie hugged her son when he said this was one bad guy he couldn’t beat. Maxie told Georgie that a friend of hers who didn’t have children but loved them was taking care of Louise for awhile so she wouldn’t be sad. Anna met the newest woman to steal Valentin’s heart baby Bailey. Realizing he may not have much time left, Chase asked Willow to marry him. Wanting to give him a bit of happiness, Willow said she’d be honored to be his wife. Carly vowed to find out what Jax did to convince Michael to allow Nina to see Wiley. Michael left the room so Nina could visit alone with her grandson. Nina told Wiley that Grandpa Sonny (Maurice Benard) was alive and asked him whether she should tell Grandma Carly. Carly stood in the door watching Nina holding Wiley.
