A weekly column highlighting the Port Charles happenings during the past week on General Hospital. Read below to find out what you missed or to refresh your memory in time for next week.

Monday

Scott (Kin Shriner) asked Austin (Roger Howarth) how everything was going at the Quartermaine mansion. Scott told Austin he didn’t trust the Quartermaines. Austin commented there may be a way to turn things around. Chase (Josh Swickward) thought about when he married Willow (Katelyn MacMullen). Willow told Michael she made a discussion “This can’t go on.” She’s decided to tell Chase the truth the day he took his first five steps as her research showed this would mean he’s on the road to recovery. Trina (Sydney Mikayla) told Spencer (Nicholas Chavez) she and her mother talked but things still weren’t back to normal for them. He reminded she couldn’t sleep at Josslyn’s (Eden McCoy) forever. “What the hell is Ryan Chamberlain doing communicating to my son?”Nikolas asked furiously when he saw the letter addressed to S. Cassadine. Sam (Kelly Monaco) and Sean (Sean Blakemore) came to Hayden’s (Rebecca Budig) mother Naomi’s hotel room to ask about her daughter. He explained he went to prison for shooting her but wasn’t the person who committed the crime. Austin told Scott he thinks there’s evidence that could turn their case around as Edward was rethinking his decisions and could have changed his mind about cutting Jimmy Lee out of the room. Scott and Austin wondered whether Chase would help them get what they needed. Naomi told Sam and Sean her daughter came to her after abandoning Violet, adding Rachel Abigail Berlin (Hayden) wasn’t fit to be a mother. Nikolas wondered whether Spencer was the person terrorizing Ava (Maura West). Alexis (Nancy Grahan) reminded Nikolas if he made this accusation to Spencer he’d risk losing his son for good. Sam discovered Naomi gave them the wrong middle name for her daughter. Ms. McCall wondered whether she wanted them to pick up on it. Naomi talked with an unseen man and reminded she did what he wanted and asked whether their association was over. Trina left when Nikolas arrived at The Metro Court pool holding the letter from Ryan in his hand. Sam and Sean returned to Hayden’s mother’s room and were surprised by what they saw when they opened the door.

Tuesday

Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) asked Finn (Michael Easton) whether there was something about Peter’s (Wes Ramsey) he could shed some light on. Sam (Kelly Monaco) and Sean (Sean Blakemore) were shocked when they entered Naomi’s hotel room and found her dead on the floor. After Trini (Sydney Mikayla) left The Metro Court pool area, Nikolas (Marcus Coloma) showed Spencer (Nichols Chavez) the envelope and asked whether he recognized the letter from Ryan Chamberlain (Jon Lindstrom). Ned (Wally Kurth) told Olivia (Lisa LoCicero) they had trouble with a capital T. She asked what Tracy had done now. Michael (Chad Duell) talked with Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) about making hard decisions. Monica (Leslie Charleson) asked Nurse Chase how her first day as a student nurse shadowing Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) was going. Dr. Quartermaine was surprised when Willow (Katelyn MacMuellen) corrected her as she took Michael’s last night, Monica assumed Willow would take Michael’s. Chase (Josh Swickward) wanted to make a graceful exit to allow Michael and Willow to be together. But Austin (Roger Howarth) said he could make an exit with lasting impact. He asked whether Chase wanted to get back with them for lying to him. Willow explained as she registered for nursing school as Willow Tait, that was the name she preferred going by. Monica received an SOS text from Ned. Brook Lynn asked Michael, with him and Willow being in love where that left Chase. Ned interrupted and called a family meeting. Sam wanted to call 911. But Sean reminded she was on parole and shouldn’t be found with a dead body as it could violate her parole. Sam called someone she trusted. She told Dante that she and Sean were at the Woodbridge Hotel and found Hayden’s (Rebecca Budig) mother Naomi dead. Nikolas told Spencer that Ryan’s letter paid Spencer compliments. He asked why Spencer chose not to mention he got a letter from a serial killer. Spencer said he knew Ryan wasn’t Ava’s (Maura West) stalker. Dante and some cops arrived at the crime scene. Soon Finn (Michael Easton) appeared offering his help. At the Quartermaine mansion, Monica asked what warranted Ned’s SOS. Austin told Chase it was time for some payback. Felix gave Willow a pop quiz on a nurse’s role if a patient wanted to check out early. He then commented to Elizabeth that Willow was so eager to learn. The cops found a near empty prescription bottle. Finn assured Dante that Naomi wouldn’t have been planning suicide since she asked to spend time with Violet. Spencer told Nikolas that him getting a letter from Ryan didn’t translate into him being in cahoots with Chamberlain. Ned explained to the family that Edward and Jimmy Lee were speaking before his death and that Tracy (Jane Elliott) may have intercepted letters where Edward could have said he wanted to change his will to include Jimmy Lee. This would give Austin’s case a leg to stand on. Austin told Chase about the possibility Edward could have reinstated his father back in his will. Chase commented Austin wanted him to do his dirty work. “I want you to use your proximity to the family to help me claim what’s rightfully mine,” Austin told Chase. Ned said if they denied Austin his rightful share of the Quartermaine fortune they’d be no better than Tracy. Austin insisted Chase would stop the Quartermaines from always taking (like Michael was doing) by helping him find out if Edward planned to change his will in Jimmy Lee’s favor. Looking at the postmark of Ryan’s letter, Nikolas realized Spencer was lying. Ned told Olivia she reminded him he had his grandmother Lila in him as well as his grandfather so he was determined to be that type of man Olivia deserved as a husband. Willow asked Chase whether anything was wrong. He kept thinking about when he learned she cheated on him with Michael. Finn returned to GH and told Elizabeth that Naomi was dead. He wondered how he would break the news to Violet. After Nikolas told him he had to go away on business, Spencer convinced his father to allow him to stay at Wyndemere alone. When Nikolas was out of earshot, Spencer told Trina with his father gone now was the perfect time to have his party. Sam told Dante how Naomi getting Hayden’s middle name wrong was when she knew Hayden’s mother wanted them (she and Sean) to know she was being watched. Could that person have murdered Naomi?

Wednesday

Curtis (Donnell Turner) visited Stella (Vernee Watson) in her hospital room at GH and told her when she checked out he was taking her home to stay with him. Jordan (Briana Henry) and Portia (Brooke Kerr) talked about the disagreements they both had with Stella the last time they saw her. Portia added maybe it was a good thing Stella didn’t remember much from that day. Jordan left to go see Stella. Spencer (Nichols Chavez) told Trina (Sydney Mikayla) the party won’t start until she arrives. Ava (Maura West) was surprised when Trina told her she was speaking with Spencer. Ava told Trina about Spencer reaching out to her and was surprised by his devotion to his dad. Trina told Ava she and her mother weren’t close anymore because her mother cheated on her dad with Curtis Ashford. Trina called her mother a hypocrite. Ava reminded Trina no parent was obligated to share with their children the details of their extra marital affairs. Although she understood Portia disappointed her, Ava urged the girl to show her mother some compassion as no one’s perfect. Trying to regain her memory, Stella asked Jordan what happened when they saw each other the day of her collapse. Jordan told Stella about signing the divorce papers. Kevin (Jon Lindstrom) and Laura (Genie Francis) arrived at Wyndmere and learned Nikolas was leaving town on business and Spencer would be staying at Wyndmere alone. Spencer commented that he was looking forward to his own company. Spencer also made amends with Kevin who he blamed for the havoc his twin wrecked because Dr. Collins kept Ryan hidden to treat him. After Spencer left, Nikolas told Laura and Kevin about Ryan’s letter to Spencer and the accusation he made about his son working with Chamberlain. Britt (Kelly Thiebauld) walked up on Scott (Kin Shriner) and Liesl (Kathleen Gati) making out at The Metro Court pool. Liesl told her daughter about giving Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) a piece of her mind. Jason fed Donna. Carly (Laura Wright) walked into the kitchen and heard Donna call Jason “Daddy.” Liesl told Scott about research into a treatment for Huntington’s Disease and asked Baldwin to come to St. Lucia with her. Spencer invited Britt to his party. Portia and Curtis talked about Trina staying at Josslyn’s house and the letter Stella wanted to mail the day of her stroke. Trina arrived at GH just in time to see Curtis holding Portia’s hand in support. Nikolas came to the Jerome Gallery and announced to Ava he knew who the stalker was. Carly told Jason they’ll teach Donna to call him Jason so as not to confuse the little girl into believing he was her daddy as she won’t remember Sonny (Maurice Benard).

Thursday

Lenny entered The Tan-o. He was happy to be home. Mike/Sonny (Maurice Benard) and Nina (Cynthia Watros) wanted him to rest and take it easy. Nina thought it a good thing the doctors were taking time to review his biopsy results. But Phyllis (Juliette Jeffers) didn’t seem so sure. Josslyn (Eden McCoy) interrupted Carly (Laura Wright) and Jason (Steve Burton) talking about him being Donna’s stepfather. Josslyn had a box of her old toys she decided to give to charity since she was going to college. Carly told her daughter that Jax (Ingo Radmacher) overheard them talking about Joey Novak. Jax came to Britt’s (Kelly Thiebauld) office at GH. She said she took his advice and accepted the Co-Chief of Staff position. After Jax told her about his concern for his daughter because she was approached by a mobster because of Jason. Britt assured Jax that Josslyn would be safer because of Jason. Josslyn asked when her mother and Jason were getting married then told them she’d be late because she was hanging out with her friends for one last celebration before starting college. Phyllis told Lenny she wanted him to enjoy whatever time he had left. “It’s better to die from living than die from dying.” Nikolas (Marcus Coloma) came to the Jerome Gallery with news for Ava (Maura West). “My son is our stalker.” He showed her Ryan’s (Jon Lindstrom) letter to Spencer and explained how he caught his son in several lies. Ava worried what it would do to his relationship with his son if Nikolas was wrong about Spencer. But Nikolas was convinced and intended to give Spencer a taste of his own medicine. At The Metro Court pool, Spencer (Nicholas Chavez) told Cameron (William Lipton) he was having the party because having real friends was important to him. Trina told her mother and Curtis she wanted to speak with Ms. Henry. Stella apologized to Trina. Jax was surprised that Britt defended Jason and said Morgan’s lifestyle was the reason danger and violence followed him and put those close to him in danger. Portia apologized for not telling Trina the truth about her past with Curtis. Trina agreed to come home and said they’d talk later. Nikolas accepted partial responsibility for Spencer’s actions but said now that his son was a man his antics were no longer cute. He promised Ava that after tonight he’d get back the son he loved then they (he and Ava) could be together again. While Mike/Sonny and Nina grew closer, Carly had another vision where Sonny came to her.

Friday

Mike/Sonny (Maurice Benard) told Nina (Cynthia Watros) “I feel inspired. How about we make long term plans.” Lenny and Phyllis relaxed on chairs outside The Tan-o. Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) told Sam (Kelly Monaco) and Sean (Sean Blakemore) they were right about Naomi being murdered. Trina (Sydney Mikayla), Josslyn (Eden McCoy) and Cameron (William Lipton) arrive at Wyndemere for Spencer’s (Nicholas Chavez) party. Carly (Laura Wright) was happy to see Sonny as she hadn’t had a vision of him in months. Jax (Ingo Radmacher) asked Jason (Steve Burton) what he planned to do about Josslyn being in danger. Spencer told Trina and Josslyn they could change in the east wing. After the girls left, Spencer asked Cameron whether he needed to change too, reminding the attire was salsa chic. “What does that even mean?” Cameron asked. Jax urged Jason to end this before someone got hurt. Carly admitted to the vision of Sonny her fear that by marrying Jason she’d ruin the friends they had.Mike/Sonny suggested he and Nina go on a fishing trip. Although it’s possible Naomi could have injected herself, Dante and Jordan thought that unlikely. Jax said he didn’t want to wrap his mind about losing his daughter like Carly lost Morgan. Cameron suggested if Spencer stopped acting arrogant and entitled he could get to know people and make friends. Josslyn told Trina that Spencer is mixed up and has done some things in his past because of his family throwing money at him. She added she didn’t want her friend to be hurt if she got into a relationship with Spencer. Carly told her vision of Sonny if she married Jason it would mean she’d be accepting her new life and Sonny being gone. When Phyllis went inside to get them some ice tea, Lenny smiled then closed his eyes. Jason called Britt brave for going to get tested for the Huntington’s Disease marker and said he wished he could help her. She reminded he couldn’t. Jordan (Briana Henry) urged Sean he shouldn’t get involved with a murder investigation. Jax spoke with Dante about Joey Novak approaching Josslyn and added he’d do what he had needed to keep his daughter safe. While Nina and Phyllis were talking about Ms. Reeves’ planned romantic getaway, Mike/Sonny found Lenny had passed away. Phyllis dropped the glass of ice tea she was holding when she took one look at his face and knew her husband was gone. She kept a brave face in front of Nina and Mike/Sonny but once she was alone with her husband, Phyllis broke down. Inside The Tan-o, Mike/Sonny commented how he couldn’t imagine how it felt losing your life’s partner. Someone watched Trina, Cameron, Josslyn and Spencer from the shadows.
