A weekly column highlighting the Port Charles happenings during the past week on General Hospital. Read below to find out what you missed or to refresh your memory in time for next week.

Monday

Ava (Maura West) remembered Ryan (Jon Lindstrom) posing as Kevin (also Lindstrom) and said he couldn’t be her doctor because he couldn’t be objective. When Kevin appeared, she asked whether Spencer (Nicholas Chavez) could be the stalker. Meanwhile, Trina (Sydney Mikayla), Cameron (William Lipton), Josslyn (Eden McCoy) and Spencer were taking photos with various poses at Spencer’s end of the summer party. Josslyn asked her bodyguard to wait for her in the foyer. Spencer said the party wasn’t over yet. Jax (Ingo Radmacher) turned his cell phone recorder on for when he and Carly (Laura Wright) discussed Josslyn. He asked why she was continuing to put their daughter in danger. Jax said Morgan died after getting caught up in the feud with the Jeromes. He asked what Carly was planning to do to keep their daughter safe. At The Metro Court pool, Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) asked Sam (Kelly Monaco) whether they were on a date. At GH, Laura (Genie Francis) told Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) she was there if Liz needed her. They talked about Hayden’s (Rebecca Budig) mother being dead. Laura wondered if Hayden would reach out to Elizabeth. Kevin thought Nikolas’ (Marcus Coloma) guilt over letting Spencer believe he was dead for three years could be clouding his perspective. If he looked at it as someone not married to Spencer’s grandmother, Kevin reasoned with Spencer growing up without a mother, a rich father and no consequences for his actions, anything was possible. Josslyn wanted to take Cameron to the turret to look at the view. Tony told Josslyn he’d have to come looking for her if wasn’t back in thirty minutes. Spencer was told the launch was missing. His security and Tony needed to check whether the boat was sabotaged and if so, there was no way off the island. Tony asked Trina to go find Josslyn and bring her back into the living room. Sam answered they were friends but Dante said he didn’t kiss his female friends like he kissed her. While a mysterious young woman listened outside Dr. Collins’ office door, Ava told Kevin and Laura how Nikolas planned to give Spencer a taste of his own medicine. Spencer received a call from “Ryan” saying “You got my attention. This ends tonight.” He told Trina, Cameron and Josslyn about the call. Cam and Joss thought he was playing a prank. When the lights went off, the teens saw the same It Ends Tonight message written on the floor by the fireplace. Spencer’s security confirmed no one else had been in the house as the only entrance was through the front door. Trina had enough of being a hostage and wanted to call the police but there was no cell phone reception. Trina left with Spencer to turn the backup generator on. Carly asked Jax what he wanted her to say before spotting his cell phone and realizing he was recording their conversation. Sam smiled at Dante and said she won’t rule out they were having a date. After he left, she received a call. “Drew?” Sam asked as she recognized the voice. A figure wearing a hood and holding a knife was on the turret with Trina and Spencer and watched them.

Tuesday

Although they wanted to be surprised of the gender, Sasha (Sofia Mattsson) and Brando (Johnny Wactor) saw their baby on the sonogram. Carly (Laura Wright) demanded to know why Jax (Ingo Radmacher) was recording her. “Because I need to protect our daughter from the danger you put her in.” Carly asked what he’d planned to do with the recording…did he want to entrap her and turn it over to the police? Jax said he hoped if Carly incriminated herself she’d have to make a choice between their daughter and the business. Josslyn (Eden McCoy) told Cameron (William Lipton) that Spencer (Nicholas Chavez) must be the target for everything happening in the house. Josslyn worried about Trina being with Spencer. At GH, the mysterious girl watched Ava (Maura West) talking with Portia (Brooke Kerr). Ava told Portia about losing her daughter Kiki and said she didn’t want Dr. Robinson to lose hers. Spencer promised Trina (Sydney Mikayla) he wouldn’t let anyone ruin this night for her. When Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) walked away to get them drinks, Sam (Kelly Monaco) received a phone call from someone she thought was Drew. She told him about the call when Dante returned. He said he’d have the PCPD trace the call. Trina decided to go back downstairs and join Cameron and Josslyn. While attempting to turn on the backup generator, the man in the mask grabbed Spencer from behind. A scared Spencer told his assailant his father had money. The masked man stabbed Spencer then rushed off. Trina found Spencer on the floor. He told her he’d been stabbed but there wasn’t blood or a wound. The man removed the mask. No surprise when he turned out to be Nikolas (Marcus Coloma. Dante speculated whether Peter (Wes Ramsey) called Sam pretending to be Drew. Or whether there was someone else trying to gaslight her. Kevin and Laura arrived at Wyndemere. Cameron and Josslyn updated them on what’s been going on at the house. Portia thanked Ava for being in hers and Trina’s lives and suggested they go out for a drink sometime. When she entered the hospital parking garage, Ava found her car on fire. When Jason (Steve Burton) entered the Corinthos kitchen, Carly told him how Jax recorded her. Angry, she said he betrayed her trust and they were done. After Jax left, Jason asked whether she said anything incriminating. Since Carly was unsure, Jason contacted Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) and asked him to hack into Jax’s phone and wipe it clean. Nikolas revealed himself to his son, mother, Kevin, Trina, Cameron and Josslyn. He again accused his son of being Ava’s stalker and said he wanted to teach Spencer a lesson. Laura told Nikolas she was disappointed in him. Spencer said the only thing he was guilty of was having a party when he thought his father was out of town. Nikolas asked Spencer to be the man his mother wanted him to be and admit the truth. Then Ava called to tell him about someone torching her car. Since Nikolas was looking at Spencer, he knew the pyro couldn’t be his son. Since his body wasn’t found, Sam wondered if Drew could be alive. Meanwhile, Drew (Cameron Mathison) was thrown into a room and told it was his new home.

Wednesday

Nikolas (Marcus Coloma) told Spencer (Nicholas Chavez) he was so certain he was the stalker but couldn’t imagine his son capable of such cruelty. Spencer commented that the message was received for his father showing him what real cruelty was. Carly (Laura Wright) arrived on Spoon Island to pick Josslyn (Eden Mccoy) up. Josslyn told her mother she was so ready to go home after everything that went out there tonight. Liesl (Kathleen Gati) joined Jax (Ingo Radmacher) at The Savoy and asked what was wrong. Sam told Curtis a man called saying he was Drew (Cameron Mathison). “Do you believe Drew is still alive?” Curtis asked. Drew offered the guard holding him captive money if he allowed him to escape. When he was alone, Drew thought about when his daughter Scout was born and vowed to get back to her. The guard returned and warned Drew if his ex wife came looking for him she’d be dead. Spencer cried, saying Nikolas chose Ava (Maura West) over him and had no right to ask for his forgiveness or call him son. Trina followed to help when Spencer stormed out of the room. Carly argued with Nikolas for bringing her daughter into his dysfunctional family drama. Laura (Genie Francis) said Nikolas’ actions were more in tune to that of a lover retaliating then a father and warned if he didn’t control his dark Cassadine impulses he would take the same path as his father Stavos. At the meeting of The Five Families, Jason (Steve Burton) wanted to discuss Joey Novak’s actions by approaching Carly’s daughter Josslyn. But the crime families were more concerned by Mrs. Corinthos’ non-appearance. Ms. Woo reminded at the last meeting Carly said she was taking over for her late husband but now she had something more important than showing up? She warned if Carly was going to the Feds she’d be dealt with. Of course if Jason and Carly were married she couldn’t be forced to testify against him as her husband. But as his fiancee she was a liability. Spencer asked Trina whether she could forgive him if what his father said about him being the stalker was true. Trina thought he was asking because he was wondering if he could forgive his father for terrorizing him and answered she couldn’t decide for him. Carly arrived at the meeting as everyone was leaving. Seeing the looks on the members’ faces and the comment from one man about having to get used to calling her Mrs. Morgan, Carly asked Jason what happened. Sam told Curtis that she believed Drew was alive. Meanwhile, Drew got into a fight with his guard and used the tussle to get a sharp object so he could pick the locks of his handcuffs.

Thursday

Jason (Steve Burton) told Carly (Laura Wright) her missing the meeting gave him a chance to see where they stood with the Five Families. “And where is that?” Carly asked. “We’re in trouble,” Jason said. Spencer (Nicholas Chavez) told Trina (Sydney Mikayla) he liked what he saw. Laura (Genie Francis) told Nikolas (Marcus Coloma) her worst fears were coming true “You’re becoming a Cassadine.” Portia (Brooke Kerr) offered to prescribe Ava (Maura West) something to help her sleep. But Ava preferred to stay alert. At The Savoy, Britt (Kelly Thiebauld) saw Terry (Cassandra James), Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst), Bobbie (Jackie Zeman), Amy (Risa Dorken) and Epiphany (Sonya Eddy) enter for a girls night out. Jason told Carly they had to get married as soon as they could schedule it. He explained it was to comply with The Five Families’ ultimatum: To marry her or eliminate her. “I would never let that happen,” Jason assured. It was obvious Britt wanted to join her co-Chief of Staff and the GH nurses. Kevin entered the room where Ava and Portia were talking. Ava asked whether he and Laura were able to stop Nikolas before he set his plan into motion. Unfortunate not, Kevin replied but he was more concerned with how Ava was doing. She told Kevin about her car being set on fire and how the person who did it left Kiki’s hospital badge at the scene. Spencer was surprised by the appearance of Esme (Avery Kristen Pohl), the mysterious young woman who watched Ava at GH, on the turret. She kissed him and introduced herself to Trina as Spencer’s girlfriend. Trina commented Spencer said the night would be full of surprises. Laura told Nikolas she realized it’s too late to save him from becoming his father. Terry reminded Britt she couldn’t make people like her adding Dr. Westbourne may have changed but she burned a lot of bridges and needed to make amends. Jason told Carly how the families view her as a civilian who could go to the Feds at any time. But threatening her was the worst mistake they made…one in which they’d pay. Carly asked whether anything about their wedding would be about them. Britt was surprised when Epiphany came over to her at the bar. Nurse Johnson said Terry told her Dr. Westbourne wanted to see her. Britt apologized for the way she’d treated her. But Epiphany would need a second opinion before she believed Dr. Randolph’s statement Britt changed. Esme told Spencer how she overheard his father saying he was only pretending to leave town and how she followed Ava and learned what Nikolas was planning, adding she didn’t warn him because she decided to set fire to Ava’s car instead. Trina told Portia what happened at Wyndermere adding she didn’t think Spencer would ever forgive his father. Nikolas told Laura he’d work on making amends with his son. Spencer entered with Esme and introduced his girlfriend to his grandmother. He said he had nothing to say to his father. Spencer asked Laura whether he and Esme could take the launch back with his grandmother and Kevin. Britt sent over a round of shots then left The Savoy. Ava told Kevin she had to leave Port Charles. Jason assured Carly he’d always be her safety net and becoming her husband didn’t change that. Carly set their wedding date for September 17th.

Friday

Mike/Sonny (Maurice Benard) and Nina (Cynthia Watros) talked about all the family that came down to support Phyllis (Juliette Jeffers). They also reminisce about Lenny. Josslyn (Eden McCoy) asked her mother whether she was okay. Carly (Laura Wright) said she had something to tell her and it involved her brother. At Kelly’s, Trina (Sydney Mikayla) told Cameron (William Lipton) had more of a support system than anyone thinks. Laura (Genie Francis) was surprised to find a gourmet breakfast awaiting. She thanked Kevin (Jon Lindstrom). But it was Esme (Avery Kristen Pohl) and Spencer (Nicholas Chavez) who were responsible. After Esme left, Laura told Spencer he wouldn’t be living there with Esme. Spencer assured he planned to help Esme find an apartment. Laura reminded he didn’t have money to pay for this apartment. Unless he intended to take his father’s money with one hand while pushing him away with the other. Spencer told his grandmother he wanted nothing to do with his father or his money. Carly told Michael (Chad Duell) and Josslyn she and Jason (Steve Burton) were getting married on September 17th. After Josslyn left, Michael told his mother her marriage to Jason could turn into the real thing like with Willow (Katelyn MacMuellen). Chase still tried to get Willow to tell the truth about her affair with Michael. Michael told his mother her marriage of convenience may turn out to be her happily ever after. Willow called Michael and said she needed to see him. He told her he was at his mother’s house. Mike/Sonny had another version of Carly while he and Nina were going through Lenny’s military trunk. Esme arrived at Kelly’s and commented it was good to see Trina again. She introduced herself as Spencer’s girlfriend and said Cameron was exactly how Spence described. Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) saw Martin (Michael E. Knight) cozying up to Anna (Finola Hughes) at The Metro Court pool. When Anna stepped away, Valentin warned his lawyer Ms. Devane was off limits if Martin wanted to keep his retainer. Anna returned but then Martin had to leave after receiving a troubling phone call. Josslyn met Esme and took a dislike to the girl who acted like Spencer was her personal possession. Trina assured Josslyn she didn’t care Spencer had a girlfriend. Cameron called Esme extra and said Spencer deserved someone like her. Nina was surprised when someone knocked on the door of The Tan-o and when she opened it, she found it was Maxie (Kristen Storms). Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) found Chase’s wheelchair empty. Martin came to Laura’s and told his sister they had a problem. Willow told Michael she could do this (lie to Chase) anymore. Chase left a message for Austin (Roger Howarth) that he found Edward’s codicil. He found Brook Lynn sitting in his wheelchair and she asked how long he had been walking.
