A weekly column highlighting the Port Charles happenings during the past week on General Hospital. Read below to find out what you missed or to refresh your memory in time for next week.

Monday

Nikolas (Marcus Coloma) visited Alexis (Nancy Grahan) at Spring Ridge and told his aunt that although he got his wife back, he lost his son in the process. Trina (Sydney Mikayla) was tired of Spencer (Nicholas Chavez) insulting Ava (Maura West). “I’m outta here.” “Trina wait.” After Ava left, Spencer told Trina he’s sorry she got hurt and called her the only friend he ever had who didn’t know him as Spencer the Cassadine heir or Spencer the orphan. Outside of Kelly’s, Esme (Avery Kristen Pohl) told Cameron (William Lipton) and Josslyn (Eden McCoy) how Spencer lost his father but she hoped he didn’t lose his best friends too. Esme added Cameron has forgiven her and asked whether Josslyn could. When Esme went inside Kelly’s, Cameron told Josslyn he believed she was sincere in her regret over what happened. But Josslyn said she didn’t trust her. Esme learned she got the internship at Spring Ridge. Brando (Johnny Wactor) welcomed Sonny (Maurice Benrd) home with a hug. Brando said Sonny was missed and told him the family was growing because he was going to be a father. He added Sasha (Sofia Mattsson) didn’t like him working for the business. Brando told Sonny doing a hard day’s work then coming home to those you loved felt right. He added he may need Sonny’s advice on how to be a good father. Sonny said no book can teach how to be a father…you learn it by doing it. At Crimson, Sasha told Nina (Cynthia Watros) she would have to live with what she did and the regret and that was something Sasha knew all too well. Nina told Sasha how the world she created in Nixon Falls was a peaceful one she didn’t want to end. At The Metro Court, Carly (Laura Wright) told Britt (Kelly Thiebauld) she and Jason (Steve Burton) planned to make their marriage real but Sonny returned. Carly suggested things go back to the way they were. Britt said if that included her getting back with Jason, that wasn’t going to happen. Britt commented she’s glad she and Jason ended things when they did because Carly would always come first for him. Britt said she wouldn’t be anyone’s second best. Sonny arrived at The Metro Court and told Carly he told Phyllis (Joyce Guy) she could stay at The Metro Court. He smiled when Carly said the bartender couldn’t hold a candle to the one at The Tan-o. Jax (Ingo Radmacher) met with Sean (Sean Blakemore) at The Metro Court and discussed Hayden (Rebecca Budig). Nicholas told Alexis that Spencer was the stalker and how he cut him out of his life. Alexis told Nikolas that was the worst thing he could have done. She urged him to fight for his kid. Ava reminded Spencer his actions failed and warned him the scare tactics were over. Spencer said he was sorry he took it this far but he won’t change his mind because she’s bad for his father. Ava warned if he tried anything else there would be hell to pay and it would be unlike anything he’s ever experienced. Josslyn told Esme she and Spencer have been friends for a long time so she can forgive him. Esme said she and Spencer were a package deal so if Josslyn doesn’t forgive her, she’ll be left behind. The police arrived at Wyndemere because Ava called them. They arrested Spencer for harassment and criminal mischief. Ava told Spencer he had to face the consequences of his actions. Sonny approached Jax at the bar at The Metro Court and said they had a lot to catch up on.

Tuesday

The doctor told Brando (Johnny Wactor) he did well in the birthing class. She told him and Sasha (Sofia Mattsson) that was a tour of the delivery room which can be intimidating. Brando was ready. “You and me and baby make three,” Brando said with a smile. Not quite…Gladys (Bonnie Burroughs) entered. “Make that four,” she said. Alexis (Nancy Grahan) told Sean (Sean Blakemore) she was worried about Nikolas (Marcus Coloma). Nikolas said he took her advice and tried to find Spencer (Nicholas Chavez). “You just missed him,” Ava (Maura West) told Nikolas. She told Nikolas how Trina (Sydney Mikayla) was there and Spencer didn’t feel any remorse over what he’d done. So she had him arrested. Ava explained how she wanted Spencer to know he couldn’t get away with it or come after her again. Jason (Steve Burton) arrived at her office at The Metro Court just in time to hear Carly (Laura Wright) leaving a message for Jax (Ingo Radmacher) as head of Aurora Media about the future of Crimson magazine. Carly told Jason “I want Nina to know what it feels like to lose something she loves the way she took Sonny away from us.” But Jason was able to convince her that seeking revenge against Nina (Cynthia Watros) won’t change what happened. Carly talked with Jason about whether they should tell Sonny how their feelings became real on their wedding day. Carly added how Sonny had experiences in Nixon Falls she would never know about and that’s something else she blames Nina for. Nina was surprised when Phyllis (Joyce Guy) entered her Crimson office. She apologized for being the reason Phyllis lost The Tan-o. Gladys’ feelings were hurt that no one told her Sonny was alive. She reminded her son that now Sonny was back, he could write his own ticket with the organization. “You haven’t listened to a word I said” Brando told his mother. Jax told Sonny how his pasta sauce was the reason he went to find out whether he was alive. Sonny told Jax he did good and he owed him and he always paid his debts. Phyllis told Nina how she’d seen Sonny and returned some of his stuff. She gave Nina a photo of her and Sonny. and showed her Mike’s watch she retrieved after Sonny threw it away as it was a connection to his old life and he decided he wanted to start a future with Nina. At The Metro Court bar, Sonny reminded Jax that Nina had no one to blame but herself for what she did. Jax commented how Sonny must have felt a weight lifted when he or no one else knew who he really was. He encouraged Sonny to do something right for Nina by offering him forgiveness. Brando again told his mother how he wanted to live a mob free life with Sasha and the baby. Sean was suspicious of the Cassadine connection to what happened to Hayden (Rebecca Budig) but agreed to back off Nikolas for Alexis’ sake. Ava told Nikolas he can visit Spencer while he was in jail but under no circumstances should he bail him. Nikolas didn’t like the idea of his son being in jail but maybe a dose of tough will help Spencer become the man she knew he could be. Sean asked Alexis if she could live with knowing Nikolas had Hayden shot. Alexis said Sean deserved justice no matter where it may lead. When Jax called her back, Carly said she had an idea about Crimson but changed her mind. Then she told Jason “If Nina stays the hell away from me and my family then maybe we can avoid a war.”

Wednesday

Jason (Steve Burton) ran into Austin (Roger Howarth) at Volonino’s Gym. Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) came to GH to get Britt’s (Kelly Thiebauld) help with Austin. Olivia (Lisa LoCicero) asked Carly (Laura Wright) about Nina (Cynthia Watros). Sonny (Maurice Benard) told Nina they had things to discuss. Scott (Kin Shriner) approached Ava (Maura West) at The Metro Court bar. She thanked him for getting her divorce papers removed from the court. He told her he was representing Nina and how she kept it secret she found Sonny in a small town and he was going by Mike. Sonny encouraged Nina to leave Port Charles. But she wasn’t eager to start over. He told her if she was staying there were guidelines she needed to know. Carly told Olivia she decided to renew Crimson’s lease at The Metro Court because she intended to keep Nina close to watch her. Austin held the punching bag while Jason worked out. Jason was annoyed with Austin’s constant talking about the Quartermaines and Jimmy Lee’s inheritance. Britt wasn’t fooled when Brook Lynn said she was concerned Austin misdiagnosed Leo’s autism. She knew it was about his case against the Quartermaines. Ava came to Carly’s office to revisit Avery’s custody arrangement. She also expressed sympathy over what Nina did to Carly and her family. Ava assured she didn’t know what Nina was doing. Carly hoped that was true because if she did, Ava would have to deal with Sonny not Mike from Nixon Falls. Sonny told Nina she had to stay away from him and his family but added he could change the rules at any time. Sonny said he couldn’t forgive her now but not saying he never would. Britt told Scott she wouldn’t ask Jason’s help to find her mother. Nina returned Mike’s watch to Sonny. Ava commented about the experiences Carly and Sonny both had while apart. When Brook Lynn told her Austin thought Leo was austic, Olivia asked her whether she saw Leo as a brother or a means to keep Austin out of ELQ. Britt called Austin and requested he return to GH. Once he got there, Britt escorted Dr. Gatlin Holt to her office. Ava came to Crimson to see Nina. Sonny wanted to talk with Jason about what almost happened between him and Carly before he interrupted their wedding night.

Thursday

Maxie (Kristen Storms) and Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) were at Volonino’s Gym. Maxie told Brook Lynn how she might have told Austin they were friends. Britt (Kelly Thiebauld) questioned Austin (Roger Howarth) about implying Leo might be on the autism spectrum. Trina (Sydney Mikayla), Cameron and Josslyn (Eden McCoy) talked about Spencer (Nicholas Chavez) being Ava’s (Maura West) stalker. Josslyn said Spencer probably wouldn’t have taken things as far as he did if not for Esme (Avery Kristen Pohl). Esme stormed into the PCPD and demanded Chase (Josh Swickward) take the handcuffs off Spencer. Detective Chase said he couldn’t do that because Mr. Cassadine was in custody. “What does that mean?” Esme. “It means I’m spending the night in jail” Spencer answered. Three guesses who had him arrested. At Crimson, Ava confronted Nina (Cynthia Watros) about her involvement with Mike who turned out to be Carly’s (Laura Wright) husband and Avery’s father. Sonny asked Jason (Steve Burton) whether he walked in on something between Jason and Carly the night of their wedding. Britt told Austin the Quartermaines lodged a complaint against him for falsely diagnosing a child. Esme asked to speak with her boyfriend in private. Chase handcuffed Spencer to a chair and left to do paperwork asking the guard to watch him. Spencer told Esme his grandmother was still out of town and couldn’t pull strings for him. When she asked what he told the police about her, Spencer asked whether she was there because she thought he was going to throw her under the bus. He assured he’d never do that. Chase returned and took Esme into the interrogation to ask her some questions. Carly heard Josslyn mention Nina and asked what happened. Josslyn told her mother how she had an intense conversation with Nina at Kelly’s. Carly told Trina and Josslyn that Ava had Spencer arrested. Brook Lynn told Maxie she’s letting her off the hook with getting to know Austin; she had another way of dealing with him. Austin told Britt she was letting Brook Lynn use her. Britt told Dr. Gatlin Holt was suspended from practicing medicine at GH pending a disciplinary hearing. After he left Dr. Westbourne’s office, Austin called Maxie and said he needed to see a friendly face. Cameron wanted to go help his friend when he was told Spencer had been arrested. Trina left with him for the PCPD. Josslyn said she’d catch up. Once alone with her mother, Joss told Carly about the incident with the journal Nina gave her as a graduation present. Carly encouraged Josslyn to concentrate on school. Ava told Nina about Spencer being her stalker and how she had him arrested. She said Nikolas supported her decision. Ava said she thought they were over but she and Nikolas were happier than ever and commented it could be the same for Nina and “Mike.” Jason admitted to Sonny that he and Carly would have consummated their marriage if Sonny hadn’t interrupted. Jason said when they had to get married for the business and because they thought he was dead, his old feelings for Carly started coming back. Jason said now that Sonny was back they could go back to the way things were. Sonny asked Jason whether he’d be able to turn his feelings for Carly off. When Trina and Cameron arrived, Chase took Cameron into the interrogation room and said the only way to help his friend would be to tell the truth. After his talk with Cameron, Detective Chase advised Esme not to leave town. Austin confronted Brook Lynn at Volonino’s Gym for accusing him of violating HIPAA. Brook Lynn told Austin she had paperwork drawn up and would make sure he didn’t lose his medical license if he renounced claim to the ELQ shares. So Austin had a decision to make: Would he rather be a doctor or a Quartermaine? Chase told Spencer he had a visitor and it was family. Spencer asked whether it was his father. But then Ava walked in. “I told you I wasn’t going anywhere and neither are you,” she said. Nina couldn’t bring herself to throw away the photo of her and “Mike.” After his talk with Jason, Sonny returned home to Carly.

Friday

“The man who wore this hat is a mystery to me, ” Carly (Laura Wright) told Sonny (Maurice Benard). Nikolas (Marcus Coloma) told Kevin (Jon Lindstrom) his son was the stalker. Ava (Maura West) told Spencer (Nicholas Chavez) his father wasn’t arranging bail as if it were up to him, he’d rot in there. “I’m all you’ve got” Ava said. Jason (Steve Burton) arrived at GH and Britt’s (Kelly Thiebauld). She told him she needed his help finding her mother. Sam (Kelly Monaco) and Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) arrived at the tavern crime scene in Crete. Anna (Finola Hughes) filled them in about the shooting and Sam told her about the faked crash of Drew’s (Cameron Mathison) plane. Drew woke up in his cell and had no idea how he got shot. Peter (Wes Ramsey) threw Liesl (Kathleen Gati) into Drew’s cell and ordered her to take care of Cain’s wound. They looked in the medical bag for anything they could use. Liesl asked Drew who shot him. “I have no idea.” Victor (Charles Shaughnessey) berated Peter for drawing the WSB’s attention to them. Anna assures Sam that Peter is keeping Drew alive because he needs him. Britt told Jason about the fake medical conference and that her mother planned to kill Peter in St. Lucia. Ava offered Spencer a deal. If he agreed for them to co-exist and promised not to mess with her and his father’s marriage, she’d help him. Spencer refused her terms, reminding he trusted her before and wouldn’t make the same mistake twice. Ava smirked Spencer should request the holding cell that let’s a small ray of sunshine and has ventilation for when the drunks arrive. Esme rushed into Wydemere asking for Nikolas to help Spencer. But Nikolas said she was lucky she wasn’t being booked too. Nikolas told Kevin that Esme was the one who torched Ava’s car. Esme apologized and said she convinced herself doing what she did would help reunite Spencer with his father, commenting how sad he was at school because they were estranged. Esme stormed out when Nikolas refused to help Spencer. Carly admitted that she and Jason would have made love if Sonny hadn’t interrupted. Sonny struggled with the idea of his wife and his busy friend wanting to be together. Carly reminded none of it would have happened if Nina (Cynthia Watros) hadn’t allowed them to believe for nine months he was dead. Anna realized Victor Cassadine was alive and was working with Peter. Meanwhile, Victor told Peter he wasn’t going to let it go unpunished he lied about knowing Drew’s trigger and sent Cain to kill Anna Devane and Robert Scorpio. Victor called over his two henchmen to deal with Peter. Ava told Nikolas that Spencer was unrepentant about what he’d done. Nikolas decided to let his son spend the night in jail with the hope he’d come to his senses in the morning. Esme told Spencer he should have lied to Ava and said he accepted her terms. A police officer came to take Spencer to a holding cell; his arraignment was in the morning. Carly and Sonny vowed not to let Nina come between them and decided to get to know eacho ther again.
