A weekly column highlighting the Port Charles happenings during the past week on General Hospital. Read below to find out what you missed or to refresh your memory in time for next week.

Monday

Josslyn (Eden McCoy) was relieved when her mother returned home, commenting that she thought Carly (Laura Wright) was a runaway bride. Carly assured she was happy to be marrying Jason (Steve Burton). Then Carly walked away to answer the door. It was Ava (Maura West) who apologized for interrupting her wedding day. Ava said it was important. At The Metro Court, Nikolas (Marcus Coloma) made small talk with Spencer (Nicholas Chavez) asking his son about his interests. Valentin approached the table saying they were the picture of familial harmony. Spencer and Nikolas join forces in their hatred of Valentin. Nikolas called Valentin Helena’s no last name mistake, adding it was pathetic how he kept the Cassadine name. Maxie (Kristen Storms) invited Austin (Roger Howarth) to the wedding as her plus one, telling him she decided to not focus on how he reminded her of losing Louise. Portia (Brooke Kerr) told TJ (Taj Bellows) and Sean (Sean Blakemore) that Jordan (Briana Henry) was awake. Molly (Haley Pullos) arrived at GH. Curtis (Donnell Turner) told Jordan he had a choice of letting her assailant go or saving her and Portia. Jordan thanked Portia for talking with her and trying to help her while she was unconscious. Jordan asked TJ to leave and said she’d fill him in after Austin examined her. Nina (Cynthia Watros) was shocked when Peter (Wes Ramsey) entered The Tan-o. He knew she sent him to St. Lucia to be ambushed and killed by Liesl (Kathleen Gati) but her scheme failed. Liesl was being handled, now he had to decide how to take care of her. Nina said she panicked and tried to apologize. But Peter didn’t want to hear it. There would be consequences for her actions. Peter demanded Nina unlock her phone and call Valentin. He put the call on speaker. Nina asked whether Valentin learned anything new about Maxie’s baby then ended the call by commenting about The Metro Court’s room service. After the call, Valentin told Anna (Finola Hughes) that Nina sounded strange. Trina told Josslyn that Spencer was Victor and how he asked her not to tell anyone he was in town earlier than he said. Trina apologized for lying to Josslyn. Ava told Carly she was leaving town and had to leave Avery (Ava and Grace Scarola) with Carly. She told Carly about her car being firebombed and the stalker leaving Kiki’s ID badge behind. Ava and Carly decided they would tell Avery about Ava leaving town together. Austin told TJ, Sean and Curtis that Jordan was in renal failure due to the carbon monoxide poisoning. He recommended the police commission go to Albany for extensive treatment. Portia was nervous when Jordan said she heard her talking about Trina’s father. But Jordan thought it was something Portia never told Trina about Taggert. Phyllis (Joyce Guy) entered The Tan-o. She was surprised to see Mr. St. Clair had returned. Nina tried to get her friend to leave by saying she and Peter were discussing a confidential project. Phyllis said she came to get Mike’s phone to return it. But Phyllis grabbed the gun from behind the bar. Unfortunately, Peter held his own gun to Nina’s ribs. Although she assured Lenny had taken her to the firing ring and she was a crack shot, Phyllis didn’t want to risk Nina’s life and lowered her weapon. Peter said it was a pity Phyllis came in when she did because he was starting to like her. Jordan was prepped and shared a tearful goodbye as she was transported to the facility in Albany. Ava wished Carly well on her upcoming marriage to Jason saying she was lucky to have found happiness again. Josslyn came to The Metro Court and greeted Spencer as Victor. Valentin told Anna it felt like Nina was trying to give him a clue when she mentioned the room service at The Metro Court when she knew he was staying with the Quartermaines. He and Anna decided to go to Nixon Falls. Peter told Nina and Phyllis they’d never set foot outside The Tan-o again.

Tuesday

Alexis (Nancy Grahan) expressed her discomfort with Ryan (Jon Lindstrom) being there. Harmony (Inga Candranel) told Alexis she was tasked with Ryan’s care and intended to do it to the best of her ability. Nurse Chloe and Drew (Cameron Mathison) plotted their escape. To that end, she hit his bruised ribs to convince the guard to take him to a doctor. Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) gave Sam (Kelly Monaco) batting lessons. Josslyn (Eden McCoy) calls Spencer (Nicholas Chavez) by Victor, saying she knew he lied about his name and asked Trina (Sydney Mikayla) not to tell anyone he was back in town earlier than he said. Josslyn angrily said Spencer may have gotten taller but was the same person he’s always been and didn’t know the meaning of friendship. Mike/Sonny (Maurice Benard) looked for his cellphone in the park and was annoyed when Jax (Ingo Radmacher) approached. Jax realized Nina (Cynthia Watros) hadn’t spoken with Sonny yet and told him he’d soon learn who he really was. At The Tan-o, Nina told Peter (Wes Ramsey) that Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) will get help. But Peter said he’d be long gone before then which was more he could say for them because they were never leaving The Tan-o. He gave Phyllis (Joyce Guy) two minutes to get rope and duct tape or Nina would pay. Phyllis returned right before the time was up. Nina reminded Peter he could have chartered a jet and escaped. Now Valentin will alert Anna (Finola Hughes) and The WSB will be on their way. Peter said they won’t like what they find. Alexis and Harmony talked about Esme’s (Avery Kristen Pohl) fascination with Ryan. Esme interrupted Josslyn and Spencer and defended her boyfriend and his motives citing his trust issues. Josslyn told Spencer he needed to apologize to Trina. Jax told Mike/Sonny this wasn’t the first time they fought over the same woman. But Mike/Sonny refused to believe him. Jax urged him to listen to Nina when he returned to The Tan-o and she told him the truth. Drew and Chloe got the upper hand on the guards and were able to get the keys to the handcuffs as well as to a vehicle. But when the alarm sounded, Drew urged Chloe to go and he was overtaken by the guards. After Josslyn left to get ready for her mother’s wedding, Spencer reminded Esme he didn’t do this alone and she was the one who firebombed Ava’s (Maura West) car. Peter told Phyllis all about how Nina knew Mike’s real identity and his wife and kids and that she’s been lying. Phyllis said she didn’t want to die. “Next time pick better friends. But we both know there won’t be a next time” Peter smirked as he doused the bar and floor with paint thinner and threw a match. Peter left. Sam and Dante came to question Harmony about a case they were working on. Mike/Sonny arrived at The Tan-o and saw it was on fire.

Wednesday

Sam (Kelly Monaco) told Harmony (Inga Candranel) they were there because they needed her help. “This is about Shiloh and Drew Cain,” Sam said. Drew asked his guard whether he worked for the Cassadines. Britt (Kelly Thiebauld) saw Maxie (Kristen Storms) holding Carly (Laura Wright) and Jason’s (Steve Burton) wedding invitation and commented that she forgot today was the day. Michael (Chad Duell) was at the wedding chapel with Jason and said he was looking sharp. Carly got ready for her wedding. Mike/Sonny (Maurice Benard) found The Tan-o on fire and called out for Nina (Cynthia Watros). Britt told Maxie the only good thing about her mother being missing was she knew she wouldn’t be plotting Jason’s murder. Britt walked away when Austin (Roger Howarth) made a comment about the wedding. Maxie suggested he, Terry (Cassandra) and Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) take co-worker Britt out to help make her feel better. “This is a place of healing isn’t it?” asked Maxie. Michael expressed how happy he was that Jason was marrying his mom. Carly told Josslyn (Eden McCoy) once she was able to let go of her worry about the future, she was able to enjoy the fact that she was marrying Jason, the person she trusted. Jax (Ingo Radmacher) stopped Sonny from breaking the window, warning of the danger of a back draft. Mike/Sonny told Jax there was a delivery entrance around the back. Drew offered to pay his guard more than he was currently being paid if the man helped him get home. Harmony assured Sam she had nothing to do with Drew’s disappearance. Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) asked Jason whether he was ready for the wedding. He said he was always in awe of Jason and Carly’s friendship. And although he never thought they’d end up together, he couldn’t have imagined it any other way. Ned (Wally Kurth) told Olivia (Lisa LoCicero) about Austin’s concern for Leo. Carly told Josslyn she would always love and think about Sonny, but today was about marrying Jason. Jax and Mike/Sonny rushed to Nina and Phyllis and tried to revive the unconscious women. Harmony told Alexis (Nancy Grahan) she’s been trying to live down her past. Spinelli said Jason and Carly already passed the test of love and accepting each other. Elizabeth told Terry it was her call whether they should let Britt join them. Josslyn gave her mother a special gift and Carly said she didn’t think she could love her daughter more than she did at that moment. When Austin arrived at the chapel and asked about Leo, Olivia assured her son was good. Jax untied Phyllis and helped her outside. Drew reminded his guard the nurse escaped and would go to the authorities for help. Elizabeth pretended she made a work error requiring Terry’s help so Dr. Randolph would be unable to enjoy her night off. As her co-Chief of Staff, Britt offered to assist Terry. Carly looked elegant and goddess-like in her gown. “Let’s get married,” Carly said to Josslyn. Phyllis told Jax she was okay and asked him to help Nina. Mike/Sonny helped Nina stand. But as they slowly walked to the door, he noticed a loose ceiling beam and pushed to safety. Jax was at the door and grabbed Nina out while she shouted Mike’s name and yelled for him to get out.

Thursday

Monica (Leslie Charleson) asked her son whether he was nervous but then remembered it was Jason she was talking to. Bobbie (Jackie Zeman) asked Carly (Laura Wright) why she was missing before…she thought she was a runaway bride. Carly answered she was just getting nostalgic about when she and Jason first met. Austin (Roger Howarth) told Maxie that Olivia (Lisa LoCicero) disagrees with his opinion as a doctor. Nina (Cynthia Watros) screamed for Mike/Sonny (Maurice Benard) to get out of The Tan-o but he lay unconscious on the floor. Gladys (Bonnie Burroughs) didn’t like it when Brando (Johnny Wactor) turned down Vincent Novak’s job offer to join his organization. Brando reminded his mother he promised Sasha (Sofia Mattsson) , who was on doctor ordered bed rest, he’d stay away from organized crime. Novak told Ms. Woo that the wedding would be one to remember. Diane (Carolyn Hennessey) wished Jason well on his marriage to Carly. Epiphany (Sonya Eddy) said Jason was like her son and wished him luck with that high maintenance bride of his…he was going to need it. Nina begged the firemen to get Mike out of the burning building. Mike/Sonny drifted in and out of consciousness and thought of Carly (though he couldn’t see her face) but said “I know you.” Carly and Jason’s wedding began. Josslyn walked down the aisle, followed by bride Carly. Mike/Sonny had a vision of his father. Mike (Max Gail) told him he knew Lenny and even though Sonny said he found a home in Nixon Falls, Mike told his son it was time to go home because he couldn’t run away from the past. Josslyn gave a reading. Then, Jason recited his vows to Carly which included how they accepted each other. Jax told the firemen about the delivery entrance to the bar room. Nina tried to apologize to Phyllis (Joyce Guy) for her lies. But Phyllis said that was a conversation for another time. Nina told the fire investigator that the fire was set deliberately by a wanted man named Peter August (Wes Ramsey). When Phyllis walked away to give her statement, Jax berated Nina for putting everyone they knew in danger just to keep the lie about Sonny. Nina asked Jax whether he knew anything about what happened to her aunt Liesl. Jax didn’t and left to warn those in Port Charles about Peter. Phyllis told Nina she was conflicted about what to call Sonny. And if he died, who would she mourn, Mike or Sonny? Mike told Sonny he couldn’t have a future without knowing the past. We got flashbacks from Sonny Corinthos’ life. Mike told Sonny if it were him, he would choose to remember. The firemen told Nina the hallway was filled with smoke and they couldn’t get to the bar to save her friend. The woman in Mike/Sonny’s vision turned around and he finally got to see her face. Carly exchanged vows with Jason. Mike told Sonny he may have thought he found love in Nixon Falls but he already had it at home and needed to go back. “Carly,” Sonny said.

Friday

Carly (Laura Wright) and Jason (Steve Burton) lit a candle in memory of those they’ve loved and lost. Maxie (Kristen Storms) put it on Ignore when Jax (Ingo Radmacher) called her during the wedding. Sonny (Maurice Benard) called out for Carly. Phyllis (Joyce Guy) told Nina (Cynthia Watros) that there’s no way Sonny could have survived in the burning building this long…he’s gone. Sonny worked to get out from under the trapped ceiling beam. Jax told Nina he had to let Maxie know Peter (Wes Ramsey) set the fire. “To Hell with Peter…you have to get Sonny out of there” Nina pleaded. Maxie told Austin (Roger Howarth) marrying Peter would have been a mistake. But Carly and Jason felt right. No one spoke when the minister asked whether anyone could show just cause why Carly and Jason shouldn’t be married. Nina cried that Mike was dead. Carly and Jason exchanged vows. Phyllis told Nina she had to get checked out. Carly and Jason exchanged rings. Jax caught Phyllis as she said “It’s all gone” and started to collapse to the ground. Carly and Jason are pronounced husband and wife. Nina saw Sonny coming out of The Tan-o and rushed to his side. She cradled him in her arms and said he had a lot to live for. Carly and Jason are pronounced husband and wife. Jason and Carly quietly left the church. Vincent Novak said with Carly and Jason legally married that makes them twice as dangerous. Jason brought Carly back to the bride’s room where they had a brief moment alone before being interrupted by Michael and Josslyn, who reminded the wedding planner will have a fit if they deviated from her schedule. When they returned to their guests, Epiphany (Sonya Eddy) gave Jason an extra long hug. Ms. Woo thanked Jason and Carly for inviting her to the wedding and whispered something in his ear. At the hospital, Phyllis told Nina tha Sonny was asking to see her. “My name’s not Mike, it’s Sonny. I remember everything now and I mean everything.” Sonny said. Josslyn talked about having one great love in your life and asked Michael whether he and Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) would get married for real. Phyllis told Jax how the face was the same but she felt an entirely new energy. Nina said now that Sonny knew the truth they could talk freely. She reminded him of their feelings for each other. Sonny asked why Nina kept the truth from him. “If you remember Mike, you know the answer to that.” Vincent Novak to Gladys (Bonnie Burroughs) he had some business to attend to and asked Brando (Johnny Wactor) to assure his mother had a good time. Instead of throwing rice, the guest blew bubbles at Carly and Jason. In the limo, she couldn’t believe the wedding went off without fireworks. Nina tried to remind him how earlier he said he loved her. But all Sonny wanted to do was get back to his wife. Diane and Spinelli decided they were going to try to get to know Dr. Austin Gatlin Holt. Vincent Novak realized Gladys must have lifted his cube. No matter, the explosive was already planted. Carly asked Jason what Ms. Woo whispered and he answered something he suspected. She told the driver to take them to the reception. An explosion was heard and rocked the church.
