A weekly column highlighting the Port Charles happenings during the past week on General Hospital. Read below to find out what you missed or to refresh your memory in time for next week.

Monday

“Sorry to show up like this. But in all fairness you never returned my call” Drew (Cameron Mathison) told Sam (Kelly Monaco) who welcomed him home with a hug. Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) told Monica (Leslie Charleson) and Olivia (Lisa LoCicero) that Chase (Josh Swickward) was family. Portia (Brooke Kerr) left a message inviting Curtis (Donnell Turner) for dinner. TJ (Taj Bellows) and Marshall (Robert Gossett) were in the GH chapel. TJ accused Marshall of running some kind of hussle which is probably why his Uncle Curtis is rejecting him. Marshall admitted he was going about this the wrong way. Carly (Laura Wright) saw Britt (Kelly Thiebauld) at GH and asked whether she found her mother then commented how she couldn’t wait for Jason (Steve Burton) to tell her all about it. Anna (Finola Hughes) arrived at the Corinthos house. Sonny (Maurice Benard) asked why she came over. The Quartermaines were reacting to the news Chase was Bailey’s father when Valentin (James Patrick Stuart). Marshall told TJ he wanted to be part of the Ashford family. He commented that he was finally able to reach out to Curtis after a long time but has gone about it all wrong. “Who is Curtis to you?” TJ asked. “He’s my son,” Marshall answered. Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) asked Finn (Michael Easton) what she could bring over for dinner. Phyllis (Joyce Guy) ran into Nina (Cynthia Watros) at GH. She explained she offered to volunteer. Drew thanked Sam for dropping everything and she and Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) coming to look for him. Carly was relieved Peter’s (Wes Ramsey) reign of terror was over. She asked Britt whether that meant everyone was okay. Valentin announced he had their contract nullified so he’s once again the CEO of ELQ. Marshall happily shouted he was TJ’s grandfather. Curtis entered the chapel and asked TJ to leave. When Dante came downstairs with Scout, Drew rushed to his daughter. But Scout hid her face in Dante’s chest as she didn’t know the strange man in front of her. Anna told Sonny maybe he better sit down. Britt said she wanted Carly to know she and her mother wouldn’t be there if it wasn’t for Jason. Carly demanded to know where Jason was. Valentin said Detective Chase was honorable for coming forward that he was Bailey’s father. He praised Olivia’s turkey, which he had a bite of before the dog got to it thus fulfilling Quartermaine tradition of not having turkey on Thanksgiving. Curtis reminded Marshall he lost the right to call him son a long time ago. Nina asked Portia whether there was room for one more (Phyllis). Dante told Scout that Drew was her father and there was no reason to be afraid. Drew told his daughter they needed time to get to know each other. Drew gave his daughter a crystal unicorn for her collection. After Scout went upstairs, Drew told Sam and Dante about Jason. Sam couldn’t believe Scout got her father back only for Danny to lose his. Anna told Sonny that although Britt and Obretch were back, Jason didn’t make it. Britt sadly told Carly that Jason was gone. Portia told TJ that Curtis already told her Marshall was his father. Marshall told Curtis he didn’t expect to be invited to dinner but was feeling grateful. Portia told Finn, Nina, Phyllis, Elizabeth and Violet the party would be at a different venue. She was dreading telling Robin (Kimberly McCullough) about Jason and had hoped Carly would be there so she could tell them together. Sonny said he had to tell Carly. Although they were on different sides of the law, Anna commented how she had respect for Jason as a person and a parent. Carly refused to believe Jason was gone because he was an expert at defying the odds. She wanted to go to Greece to look for him. But Britt said no one could have survived that cave in. Carly blamed Britt and said she wished Jason never met her. “I wish that too,” Britt said after Carly walked away. Anna spoke with Valentin on the phone. He welcomed her home from Greece and said he had a lot to tell her when he saw her. Sonny watched Carly crying outside on the porch and gave her a moment. TJ told Curtis if he didn’t want to go to a party, he was bringing the party to him. When they walked into The Savoy, Curtis was surprised to see Portia, Finn, Nina, Phyllis and Violet. After Violet gave thanks for the food and family, the group began serving the food. Monica saw the pizzas outside and commented how they didn’t even have to call for delivery. She was surprised when she opened the door and found Drew standing there holding pizza boxes.

Tuesday

Although shocked to see him, the Quartermaines welcomed Drew (Cameron Mathison) home. Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) told Sam (Kelly Monaco) the kids may sense something was wrong. Britt (Kelly Monaco) came into her mother’s hospital when Liesl (Kathleen Gati) had a nightmare about Peter (Wes Ramsey). Liesl commented she hoped Britta was able to sleep without nightmares. Sonny (Maurice Benard) comforted Carly (Laura Wright) who cried in his arms over the loss of her best friend Jason. Britt was going through her emails and forwarded the requests to Terry (Cassandra James). Austin (Roger Howarth) entered and noticed something was wrong with Dr. Westbourne. Drew shared the story of his imprisonment by Peter. But Monica noticed there was something Drew wasn’t saying. “What my rescue cost this family,” Drew said. Sam thought Scout getting her father back and Danny losing his father was some kind of cruel cosmic joke. She worried Danny would hate Scout for still having her father. Dante assured Danny wouldn’t waste his time with hate. Carly was holding out hope Jason was still alive, reminding Sonny how everyone told her he (Sonny) was dead but she could feel him out there reaching to her because they were connected. Liesl was happy to see Scott (Kin Shriner). Austin thought Britt was feeling sorry for herself because no one invited her to dinner. She told him the only person she cared about sharing a wishbone with died. When Drew told them what happened and how Jason risked everything to save him, Monica realized Jason was dead. Carly told Sonny they had to hold out hope because Jason was the most important person to both of them. Josslyn (Eden McCoy) entered and seeing their faces asked “Who died?” Drew told Monica if he realized his freedom meant losing Jason he’d never taken that deal. Monica reminded him and Jason were both her sons and one didn’t cancel out the other. She remembered how happy Jason was at his wedding reception when he married Carly. Monica felt sorry for Carly and Sonny. “I can’t believe this is happening” Josslyn cried when she learned about Jason. Sam told Dante she knew in her heart this was how it would end for Jason and if they were still together, she’d never recover from it. Monica remembers the moment she first saw Jason and he became her son. She told Ned (Wally Kurth) it was probably best if Carly told Michael (Chad Duell) about Jason. Monica sadly commented how she’d never have any new memories of Jason with Drew adding he and Jason were just starting to connect as brothers. Britt told Austin it was Jason who died; she’d never thought he would die before her. “How you’d figure that?” Austin asked. Scott got into Liesl’s hospital bed. Britt answered she didn’t know what she was talking about. Austin invited Britt over to his place. But Britt said there was something she had to do first. Drew sadly told Ned he wasted so much time resenting Jason but on Cassadine Island he was starting to respect him. But now they had no future as brothers. Both Sonny and Josslyn went upstairs leaving Carly alone with her grief. Dante was going to leave Sam alone to wrestle with her thoughts, but she said she wanted him to stay. When Sonny returned back downstairs after checking on Donna, he found the kitchen empty and Carly gone. Monica told her family although they’d be grieving for a long time on the day of giving thanks she wanted to focus on the son they got back. Monica toasted to Drew, who gave a toast to Jason. Dante assured Sam he was there for her. Ned learned Valentin knew Drew was alive. Sonny left a message for Carly who was on the bridge. He received a call from Cyrus (Jeff Kober). Sam assured Dante he wasn’t overstepping when he kissed her. Monica took Drew upstairs to see Annabelle 2. Olivia asked Ned what he was planning when she saw his face at the mention of Valentin’s name. Scott and Liesl ordered him out of her hospital room when Ausin walked in and saw them in her hospital bed. Carly thought about the moments she spent with Jason throughout their lifetime friendship. When she turned around, Carly found Britt standing there. Sonny asked how Cyrus got a phone. Renault offered condolences over Jason’s passing and talked about how he could be useful to Sonny.

Wednesday

Sam (Kelly Monaco) assured Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) she wanted to be with him. Then they went upstairs. Sean (Sean Blakemore), Alexis (Nancy Grahan), Esme (Avery Kristen Pohl) and Spencer (Nicholas Chavez) were having an untraditional Thanksgiving dinner of chinese food. When Esme and Spencer left the table, Alexis told Sean she didn’t trust Esme. Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) was outside Alexis’ on a call. Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) commented to Chase (Josh Swickward) how hard it was to process what Drew (Cameron Mathison) told them. Monica (Leslie Charleson) asked Drew whether he planned to reclaim his own life. Drew commented that things with Sam were over a long time…his main concern was Scout. Sam and Dante made love. Britt (Kelly Thiebauld) told Carly (Laura Wright) she came to the bridge to feel close to Jason (Steve Burton). Carly talked about how Jason was her person long before she met Sonny (Maurice Benard) or Jax (Ingo Radmacher). Sonny throwed the phone across and said he’d give Cyrus (Jeff Kober) a war if he wanted one. He called Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) to ask him to trace Renault’s call. Sonny also broke the sad news to Spinelli about Jason dying. Spencer was furious when Valentin entered. He didn’t want Helena’s (Constance Towers) bastard there. The doorbell rang and it was Ava (Maura West) and Nikolas (Marcus Coloma). Ava brought pie. Mac (John J. York) arrived at the Quartermaine mansion and spoke with Chase. Alexis was surprised when a not so dead Victor Cassadine arrived at her door. Everyone at Casa Davis learned that Victor was the man Helena (Constance Towers) had the affair with thus making him Valentin’s father. As the patriarch of the Cassadine family, Victor said the in-fighting had to stop if they wanted to be strong against any threats. Chase told Brook Lynn that Mac suspended him for six months. Knowing what Jason would say, Carly told Britt she can’t blame her for his death.

Thursday

Carly (Laura Wright) told Sonny (Maurice Benard) how grateful she was to spend time with her family. They talked about Laura (Genie Francis) being in witness protection because of Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober). Drew (Cameron Mathison) and Carly and Sonny welcomed him home. Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) was taking a shower and missed a call from Olivia (Lisa LoCicero). Sam (Kelly Monaco) came over to visit her mother and Alexis (Nancy Grahan) told her about what happened at her Thanksgiving dinner with Valentin (James Patrick Stuart), Nikolas (Marcus Coloma) and Spencer (Nicholas Chavez). Sam told her mother how Jason (Steve Burton) was able to save Drew but not himself. Maxie (Kristen Storms) came over to the Quartermaine mansion and reminded Chase (Josh Swickward) and Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) that they needed Valentin’s protection because Peter wouldn’t hesitate killing anyone who got in his way. Valentin told Anna (Finola Hughes) that he wasn’t Bailey’s father and how Brook Lynn lied to get the ELQ shares back. Valentin added Harrison Chase was the real father and he got the detective suspended. “If I have to hurt…then Brook Lynn is going to hurt too.” Sasha (Sofia Mattsson) was dreaming she heard her son crying and fell out of her hospital bed. Nurse Amy Driscoll (Risa Dorken), Nina (Cynthia Watros) and Brando (Johnny Wactor) heard the noise and rushed to Sasha’s room. Ms. Gilmore explained she keeps hearing a baby crying and needed to see her son. But Amy said Dr. Navarro had to give Sasha the all clear for a visit. So Nina, Sasha and Brando came up with a plan to get Amy away from the nurse’s station so Brando could take Sasha to see their son: Nina went into an empty patient room and pushed the call button. A fan of the Face of Conception stopped them on the way to the neonatal unit wanting a picture with Sasha. But Brando drew the line at the woman coming with them while they visited with their son. When Amy discovered Nina had pushed the call button, Ms. Reeves lied that she wanted to see how fast Amy answered a patient’s distress signal for an article she wanted to do on nurses. Sasha finally saw her son. She and Brando named him Liam Mike. Drew told Carly and Sonny about his conditioning by Peter and how Jason helped break it. Dante came over to see his mother and they talked about Jason’s death. Olivia was glad her son had found happiness with Sam. Sam suggested Alexis join her in the PI business and even said she’d think about changing the name of her firm to Davis and McCall. Nina ran into Sonny and Carly at GH. Valentin came over to the Quartermaine mansion.

Friday

Sonny (Maurice Benard) and Carly (Laura Wright) arrived at GH to see Sasha (Sofia Mattsson) and Brando (Johnny Wactor). They ran into Nina (Cynthia Watros) who said although Sasha and Brando were trying to be tough, urged to be gentle. Brando told Sasha one day they’ll get to tell their grandchildren how brave their father was when he was born and fought for his life. When Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) arrived at the door, Chase (Josh Swickward) and Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) said they didn’t want any trouble. Anna (Finola Hughes) appeared and assured there wouldn’t be. Maxie (Kristen Storms) welcomed Drew (Cameron Mathison) home with a hug. Austin (James Patrick Stuart) treated Peter’s (Wes Ramsey) arm the gunshot wound he’d sustained at Jason’s (Steve Burton) hands. Catching a glimpse of his name tag, Peter said he recognized Dr. Gatlin-Holt’s name adding “You delivered my daughter.” Valentin told Chase and Brook Lynn he came to say goodbye to Bailey. Maxie commented how she wished she could go back in time before she fell in love with Peter. She and Drew talked about Sam (Kelly Monaco) and Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) and their developing romance. When she said she wouldn’t go back in time even with everything bad that’s happened because she wouldn’t have Louise. “You found your daughter?” Drew asked. Peter questioned Austin about Louise’s birth and since he was the last person to see his daughter asked whether he had any idea what happened to her. Carly walked away to see Monica (Leslie Charleson) when Nina mentioned Jason. Nina told Sonny that Sasha and Brando were going to receive an update from the doctor about their baby. Britt (Kelly Thiebauld) introduced Sasha and Brando to NeoNatologist Dr. Fleming. Valentin told Chase and Brook Lynn he hasn’t told Charlotte (Scarlett Fernandez) she doesn’t have a sister anymore but can’t do that until he’s said goodbye to Bailey. Maxie told Drew she hadn’t gotten Louise back but was certain once she did it would make everything she had to do worth it. Austin told Peter even if he knew where Louise was he’d be the last person he’d tell. Peter questioned Dr. Gatlin-Holt when he said Maxie was more than a patient. Carly left a voicemail message for Monica thanking her for the incredible man she raised in Jason. Dr. Fleming was called away for an emergency in the neonatal unit. Britt told Sasha and Brando that their son would be scheduled for an EEG after 72 hours of hypothermia treatment. She urged them to keep doing what they’re doing by sending their love and let the doctors at GH do what they’re doing. Peter warned Dr. Gatlin-Holt to not let his relationship with Maxie go above friendship. Britt ran into Carly and the women were cordial with each other. Brook Lynn brought Bailey out and Valentin said goodbye. Sonny and Carly came to visit Sasha and Brando. Sonny told Brando they’ve got his back and were available if he needed anything. Austin told Britt he met Peter, who saw Nina when he was being wheeled for a test. He smirked how they were both hard to kill. Drew and Maxie arrived at the Quartermaine in time to see Valentin saying goodbye to Bailey/Louise. Brando told Sonny and Carly they named their son Liam Mike. Valentin was given a moment alone with the baby. Britt questioned Austin’s concern for Maxie, asking whether he was that concern about all his patients. Nina told Peter he’d go to Hell for all he’d done. Peter smirked he was sure she’d beat him there. Sasha thanked Carly for being such a good friend to her. Carly assured she was always there for her. Brando took Sonny to see Liam Mike and explained about tubes and heating blanket. Sonny said Liam had a fighting spirit like his namesake. Austin said from meeting Peter he didn’t sound like a guy who would stop trying to get his family back. Instead he sounded like a high stakes poker player. Maxie was angry that too many lives were destroyed and too many people were heartbroken because of Peter. Nina had a panicked look on her face when Peter asked whether Carly knew about her and Sonny and Carly turned up standing behind them. Had she heard?
