A weekly column highlighting the Port Charles happenings during the past week on General Hospital. Read below to find out what you missed or to refresh your memory in time for next week.

Monday

Curtis (Donnell Turner) told Portia (Brooke Kerr) he knew his well meaning Aunt Stella (Vernee Watson) spoke with her. Portia said that’s all she’s thought about. Amy Driscoll (Ross Dorken) welcomed Austin (Roger Howarth) to the staff of GH. “We’re in big trouble. He’s back” Maxie (Kirsten Storms) told Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton). TJ (Taj Bellows) commented that Judge Carson would finally face justice for her unfair sentencing of POC. Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) and Sam (Kelly Monaco) came to a GH examining room to check on Alexis (Nancy Grahan). Jax (Ingo Rademacher) arrived at Britt’s (Kelly Thiebauld) to see how she was doing after running into Carly (Laura Wright) and Jason (Steve Burton) on the 4th. Carly told Jason she said things to Britt she needed to help. Jordan (Briana Henry) thanked Sean (Sean Blakemore) for being there for TJ when she couldn’t. Portia told Curtis she agreed with Stella and that she wasn’t ready for a relationship. Maxie told Brook Lynn that Austin was hired as a doctor at GH. She worried he may have caught a glimpse of Brook Lynn when they thought he was unconscious. And if he did and see her taking Bailey to doctor’s appointments and maybe putting two and two together. The truth could get back to Peter (Wes Ramsey). Austin entered the exam room and announced to Sam he was just hired. Jax and Britt decided to just be friends. Jax commented how Carly’s always been drawn to danger. Carly asked Jason whether he was holding out hope to get back with Britt. Brook Lynn told Maxie it wouldn’t be Austin but her who gave them away. Austin left to get Dr. Robinson since she previously treated Alexis. Portia told Curtis she didn’t want to risk losing their friendship by becoming involved. With possible charges pending against Judge Carson, all her sentences would be reviewed. Sean was determined to find out who really shot Hayden (Rebecca Herbst). Jax left when Liesl (Kathleen Gati) entered. Liesl apologized to her daughter for encouraging Britt to follow her heart and allowing Jason Morgan to stump on it. Carly told Jason she lied about them being in love to make it easier for Britt to move on. Britt told her mother she didn’t blame her for encouraging a relationship with Jason. Portia received a call about a patient (Alexis) that was in the ER. Amy told Curtis that TJ didn’t come to work because of a family emergency. Austin ran into Carly while looking for his office. After learning she was a Corinthos and Dr. Lucas Jones’ sister, Austin asked whether everyone in Port Charles was related. Brook Lynn suggested Maxie start calling Louise Bailey. She told Maxie she should only see Bailey at Deception, reminding of Monica’s (Leslie Charleson) concerns and adding Monica wanted to talk with Mac (John J. York) and Felicia (Kristina Wagner). Maxie told Brook Lynn she was terrified a skilled investigator like Anna (Finola Hughes) would discover the truth. But despite that her heart was aching for her baby, Maxie agreed to stick to the plan. Curtis came to Jordan’s office asking about TJ. He found TJ and Sean there and greeted Butler. A guard came to take Sean to his cell at the PCPD and TJ went with him. Jordan got Curtis up to speed about Judge Carson. Curtis told Jordan that it was Aunt Stella who warned Portia away from him. He apologized for accusing her. They both said they wanted each other to be happy. Curtis told Jordan there was no rush signing the divorce papers. Portia examined Alexis’ wrist. Jason ran into Jax and told him not to hurt Britt. Jax reminded he wasn’t the one hurting Britt. TJ told Sean that Molly thought when Judge Carson’s sentences were reviewed Sean could be released for time served. Britt told her mother she’d never allow herself to be hurt again. When he asked questions about the Cassadines and Quartermaines, Carly commented Austin seemed to know a lot for someone new to town. Austin explained being from a small town he was just trying to get used to Port Charles. Maxie told Brook Lynn she’s decided to leave Port Charles. Sam told Dante to forget their kiss. Jason came to Britt’s office and stood outside the door when he saw Liesl hugging her daughter. Britt cried that she may appear strong but her heart was hurting.

Tuesday

Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) asked Michael (Chad Duell) who would be the next CEO he or Ned (Wally Kurth)? Maxie (Kirsten Storms) told Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) leaving Port Charles was her only option because she didn’t trust herself. Nina (Cynthia Watros) apologized for not responding to Mike/Sonny’s (Maurice Bernard) call earlier. He asked when she would be returning to Port Charles. Nina ended the call when they were interrupted when Ava (Maura West) entered the room. Ava thanked Nina for letting her stay with her. Trina (Sydney Mikayla) told Victor her boss Ava was divorcing her husband because a stalker wanted them apart. At Wyndemere, Nikolas (Marcus Coloma) told Laura (Genie Francis) that Ava was moving out. Mike/Sonny asked Phyllis (Juliette Jeffers) what she thought Lenny’s test results would reveal. When Monica (Leslie Charleson) found her there again, Maxie admitted she needed help and said to say goodbye to Bailey. Michael announced he wanted everyone to back Ned as CEO of ELQ. He explained with his son and Aurora Media his plate was full. Ned wanted to know what Olivia (Lisa LoCicero) thought about him being ELQ’s CEO again. Scott (Kin Shriner) commented on what Austin (Roger Howarth) was planning for one of Port Charles’ top families. Laura told Nikolas the police found evidence of a hiking boot footprint and would check to find out who purchased them. Victor wouldn’t let Trina take a selfie of them. He said it was because he couldn’t have any unauthorized photos floating around and wanted to filter any picture first. Trina told Victor about the police having a footprint of someone wearing a hiking boot. Mike/Sonny asked Phyllis why she didn’t tell Nina about Lenny’s heart condition. Nina told Ava she had too much of a past in Port Charles that she couldn’t have a future with Mike/Sonny there. Ava left when Maxie arrived to ask for Nina’s help. She wanted to know whether it was easier for her not seeing Wiley when Nina left town. From what Maxie was saying, Nina worried she would take Bailey from Brook Lynn. Victor ditched his hiking boots in a dumpster in the park. Nikolas told Laura the loss of Ava would be easier if he and Spencer weren’t estranged and he had his son. Olivia said Ned was the best man to be ELQ’s CEO as long as he kept it in perspective. The doctor came to The Tan-o and the news he gave Lenny wasn’t good. At the ELQ shareholders’ meeting, Valentin made a motion to take the vote for the CEO. But they were interrupted when Scott entered saying all the Quartermaines weren’t present. Austin entered and introduced himself. He was Austin Holt, Jimmy Lee Holt’s son. Ava met Trina in the park and they talk about the boy Trina met at The Savoy the night she got doused with the fake blood. Laura and Nikolas were surprised when Spencer entered and announced he was home.

Wednesday

“The old ticker is getting worse” Lenny told Mike/Sonny (Maurice Bernard). Ava (Maura West) asked who was holding up the launch to Spoon Island. Laura (Genie Francis) and Nikolas (Marcus Coloma) welcomed Spencer home. Anna (Finola Hughes) worked with GH’s new head of security. Austin (Roger Howarth) introduced himself Austin Gatlin Holt son of Charity Gatlin and Jimmy Lee Holt. Maxie (Kirsten Storms) told Nina (Cynthia Watros) she wasn’t delusional and taking a baby that wasn’t hers. She was bringing her home. Maxie said if she told Nina her secret, Nina had to promise to keep it regardless of whether she disagreed with her. Mike/Sonny assured Lenny he wasn’t giving up on him. Nikolas and Spencer renewed their father son bond with a hug. Scott (Kin Shriner) produced a DNA test, affidavits verifying his client’s identity. Austin announced he was there because his father died six months ago and he was staking his claim for what was rightfully his. Maxie told Nina that Bailey didn’t exist. “I gave my baby to Brook Lynn to protect her from Peter.” Ava stormed into Wyndemere asking who was holding up the launch. She was surprised to see Spencer was home. He said if he knew she and his father were divorcing he would have come home sooner to be there for his father. After Ava left the room, Nikolas reminded Spencer that he didn’t have to pretend not to be happy about the divorce. Spencer said he didn’t want to talk about that because he came home because he missed his father. Mike/Sonny said he wanted a second opinion. While Phyllis left to do research, Lenny said Mike/Sonny was giving Phyllis false hope, adding he refused to put Phyllis in debt and risk her losing The Tan-o. Finn (Michael Easton) apologized for blaming Anna for what Peter (Wes Ramsey) did to Chase (Josh Swickward). Austin announced he was contesting his grandfather’s will and only wanted his rightful seat in the company and at the family table. As there was a question on who owned how many shares, Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) said they couldn’t have the vote. Maxie told Nina that Valentin wasn’t in on her and Brook Lynn’s (Amanda Setton) plan. Although Nina didn’t like Valentin bonding over a baby that wasn’t hers, she promised to keep Maxie’s secret. She said the next time she saw Maxie she hoped it would be in Port Charles with her baby in her arms. Austin said he wanted to get to know them because they were family. Phyllis found a doctor who specializes in Lenny’s form of heart disease at New York Methodist Hospital. Valentin came to GH in response to Anna’s text. She told him that the pilot was flying out of New York Methodist and could tell them whether Peter boarded the plane.

Thursday

Portia (Brooke Kerr) praised Carly (Laura Wright) on the redecorating of the pool area of The Metro Court. In New York City, Anna (Finola Hughes) told Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) her belief David Hawkins could hold the key to finding Peter (Wes Ramsey). Mike/Sonny (Maurice Bernard), Phyllis (Juliette Jeffers) and Lenny arrived at New York Methodist where the specialist took Lenny for some tests. At The Metro Court bar, Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) told Jason (Steve Burton) that Ellie moved out. Curtis (Donnell Turner) and TJ (Taj Bellows) arrived at The Metro Court pool where they ran into Portia. Brando and Gladys were also at the pool. Gladys asked Brando what Sasha’s (Sofia Mattsson) plans were for him and the baby. Brando said they haven’t discussed it. Maxie (Kirsten Storms) told Sasha she was stepping back from Deception awhile. Brando congratulated Carly on her engagement while Gladys said Brando deserved a place in the Corinthos family business. Brando later stepped up to help Carly with Joey Novak. Nina asked Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) to come over. She told her she knew her secret that Bailey was Louise and Maxie’s baby. Nina suggested Brook Lynn tell Valentin the truth, insisting he’d help. But Brook Lynn reminded Valentin would have to tell Charlotte the truth and keeping the secret would be difficult for the little girl. Brook Lynn added that if anyone was strong enough to bounce back when the truth came out it was Valentin. She asked Nina to watch Bailey while she took a call. Maxie asked for Ellie and Spinelli to watch Georgie while she took James to Texas for a few weeks. But Spinelli said he couldn’t because he and Ellie have separated. Carly told Jason how Brando stepped up and said despite wanting to do anything for Gladys, he could be useful. Anna and Valentin arrived at New York Methodist. Valentin bumped into Phyllis literally and she introduced herself. Mike/Sonny picked up a baseball cap and had a memory of his dad. Anna started to enter the room where Sonny was as he turned the doorknob.

Friday

Jason (Steve Burton) told Carly (Laura Wright) with Brando (Johnny Wactor) being a father soon the smart bet would be to stay out of the business. Sam (Kelly Monaco) arrived at The Metro Court, coming face-to-face with Carly and Jason since learning of their engagement. Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) said sitting at The Metro Court pool with former partner Chase (Josh Swickward) was like old times. Nina (Cynthia Watros) came to pick up Wiley but he was still napping. Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) told Phyllis (Julliette Jeffers) that Nina was his ex-wife. Nurse Caulfield said she couldn’t discuss a patient. Before Anna (Finola Hughes) could open the door and discover Sonny (Maurice Bernard) was alive, the hospital administrator interrupted and told Anna the person she was looking for wasn’t in the ER. Ned (Wally Kurth) told Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) their own DNA test would verify whether Austin (Roger Howarth) was Jimmy Lee’s son. Monica (Leslie Charleson) found Austin looking at the portrait gallery at GH of Alan (the late Stuart Damon) and Edward (the late John Ingle) and asked whether he was doing his homework. Austin told Monica how difficult it was for his father being estranged from Michael (Chad Duell) suggested they acknowledge Austin as a Quartermaine to get him not to go to battle over the ELQ shares. Carly walked away to see Maxie (Kirsten Storms) giving Sam and Jason time alone. Sam said she knew it was only a matter of time before the bond Jason and Carly shared led to something more permanent. Sam told Jason she’d let him explain to Danny. When Carly returned and Jason left, Sam told her she knows there are reasons Carly and Jason were marrying and assured Carly could come to her for help if she ever needed anything. Then, Sam went to Maxie’s table. Maxie asked her whether there was a new man in Sam’s life. Dante thought about what he said to Sam before he kissed her. Maxie told Sam she was going to Texas and about Spinelli’s separation from Ellie and asked Sam to keep an eye on Spinelli. Sasha (Sofia Mattsson) couldn’t raise her child with anyone involved with the mob. Anna told Valentin she couldn’t get more information if he didn’t come with her. Lenny told Mike/Sonny and Phyllis he had pancreatic cancer. Nina was touched when Willow showed her photos of Nina and Nina with Wiley that Willow shows Wiley when his family members aren’t around. Carly came to visit her grandson and was cordial to Nina saying she makes Wiley happy. Nina didn’t answer her phone when Sonny called while she was talking with Carly. When Nina called him back, Mike/Sonny asked when she was coming home because he, Lenny and Phyllis needed her.
