A weekly column highlighting the Port Charles happenings during the past week on General Hospital. Read below to find out what you missed or to refresh your memory in time for next week.

Monday

Undisclosed Location. Two security men rushed into the house where Laura (Genie Francis) and Martin (Michael E. Knight) because they thought they were in distress. The guards reminded them they had to investigate any sounds of distress, reminding the siblings they should play a quieter and friendlier card game. At GH, Peter (Wes Ramsey) taunted Nina (Cynthia Watros) maybe he should tell Carly (Laura Wright) about what she didn’t know. Britt (Kelly Thiebauld) told Sonny (Maurice Benard) she was sorry about Jason (Steve Burton). Sonny commented on the change in Britt how approachable she’d become. Victor (Charles Shaughnessy) arrived at Wyndemere and told Ava (Maura West) he wanted to get to know her. He added she didn’t have to be so formal and call him Mr. Cassadine, he was Uncle Victor or Victor at least. Nikolas (Marcus Coloma) was confused when Victor said he had Ava to thank for his freedom. Willow (Katelyn MacMuellen) and Michael returned home. Michael was surprised to find Drew (Cameron Mathison) and welcomed him home with a hug. Drew gave Michael the bad news about Jason. Willow was surprised to learn Chase (Josh Swickward) was Bailey’s father. After Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) told Willow and Michael about Sasha’s (Sofia Mattsson) baby’s difficult birth, they went to GH. Peter made a snide comment that what happened in Nixon Falls stays in Nixon Falls. Carly slapped Peter and said that was for Jason. After August was wheeled away, Carly asked Nina what Peter meant. Nina answered Peter threatened to take James in substitution for his daughter and also to reveal she knew Sonny was alive. After Nina walked away, Sonny approached Carly and asked what happened. He got a text from Nina to meet her in the hospital chapel. Victor told Nikolas he helped him with Hayden (Rebecca Budig) but suggested his nephew shouldn’t ask questions he’d rather not hear the answers. After Victor left, Ava cautioned Nikolas if he went down he’d take them with him. Drew held Bailey and thought about when Scout was a baby. When Willow and Michael arrived at GH, Carly and her son comforted each other over Jason’s death. Later Britt urged Carly not to do anything to be asked to leave the hospital because Sasha could use her support. Sonny arrived at the GH hospital chapel. Nina told him how Carly questioned her about what Peter knew. Sonny said no one needed to know what happened between them until he was ready to tell Carly. Willow overheard Nina say she and Sonny had fallen in love while they were in Nixon Falls. After the guard told her about Victor Cassadine being in Port Charles, Laura was eager to return home. But Martin reminded her there was a hit out on them and they had a target on their heads. Meanwhile the woman who pretended to be sent from a cleaning agency was actually a hit person awaiting her next instruction.

Tuesday

Spencer (Nicholas Chavez) arrived at Volonino’s Gym in response to Josslyn’s (Eden McCoy) text. He offered his condolences about Jason (Steve Burton). Esme (Avery Kristen Pohl) sat down at Trina’s (Sydney Mikayla) table at Kelly’s without invitation. She said she was excited about their getaway. Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) walks away after overhearing outside the GH chapel Nina (Cynthia Watros) and Sonny (Maurice Benard) talking about their romance in Nixon Falls. Carly (Laura Wright) and Michael (Chad Duell) said as hard as it was they’d get through Jason’s death as a family. Mac (John J. York) entered the PCPD interrogation room and told Peter (Wes Ramsey) he was there not as the acting Police Commissioner, but as Maxie’s (Kristen Storms) father. Meanwhile, Maxie arrived at the PCPD and told Anna (Finola Hughes) she needed her help with convincing Mac because she had to see Peter. Mac said Peter was like Faison and warned accidents happen in prison. Peter told Mac if anything happened to him he’d never find Louise. Nina told Sonny she knows he loves his wife and the only reason she texted him was to warn him Peter may cause trouble. Sonny said Peter wouldn’t be a problem. “He killed my best friend. My brother. He’s over.” Carly and Michael shared a memory of when Jason took Michael skating for the first time. Willow asks Epiphany (Sonya Eddy) whether she’s seen Michael. Spencer told Josslyn how he met Esme and they clicked. Esme told Trina she felt badly suggesting they go away for the weekend especially after Cameron (William Lipton) told her what almost happened between them. Trina assured things were okay between her, Cameron and Josslyn. Willow caught up with Carly and Michael, who noticed the look on her face and asked what was wrong. After Carly walked away, Michael asked whether Willow went to the chapel. Nina overheard and approached saying she was there for Sasha (Sofia Mattsson) but would go wait somewhere else. Maxie convinced Mac to allow her to see Peter and promised to leave at the first sign of trouble. Peter was happy to see her. But Maxie told him she regretted ever meeting him because of the pain he caused and all the first moments she missed with her daughter. When Peter mentioned Austin (Roger Howarth), Maxie told him it didn’t matter if she dated Dr. Gatlin-Holt or the entire PCPD football team because Peter will be in prison for the rest of his life. Sonny came to the PCPD. Anna assured Peter would go down for his crimes but reluctantly allowed Sonny to see him. Esme and Cameron came to Volonino’s Gym and Spencer told them Josslyn was going to ask whether they could use Carly and Sonny’s cabin. Epiphany offered Carly condolences over Jason and said she’d always have the memory of their wedding to hold on to whenever she felt sad and missed him. Willow told Nina she heard her and Sonny talking in the chapel. Peter was asleep in the PCPD interrogation room when Sonny entered waking him. He gave August the mobster stare.

Wednesday

Martin (Michael E. Knight) refused to let Laura (Genie Francis) leave while there was a target on their heads. The fake cleaning woman’s credentials were verified by the guard. She prepared to go inside the house to take care of Cyrus’ (Jeff Kober) siblings. Laura didn’t want to watch the holiday movie Christina Comes Home For Christmas because it was a holiday tradition she shared with her family that she’s missing this year. Laura decided on a compromise: She’d take a long bath so Martin could watch the movie alone. Carly (Laura Wright) comforted Gladys (Bonnie Burroughs) who saw her grandson Liam in the neonatal ward. Gladys commented how Liam was such a lackluster name and was probably Sasha’s idea. Gladys told Carly how she was young when she had Brando but would make up for all she did wrong raising him with her grandson. Michael (Chad Duell) visited Brando (Johnny Wactor) and Sasha (Sofia Mattsson) and gave them a gift for the baby. They asked Michael whether he and Willow (Katelyn MacMuellen) would be Liam’s godparents. Willow and Nina (Cynthia Watros) went into an empty office to talk. Nina tried to convince Willow she misunderstood what she heard. But Willow recited what Nina said about the love she shared with Sonny was pure. Willow asked whether she and Sonny (Maurice Benard) had an affair. Nina assured it was like she said pure love…nothing happened. Peter (Wes Ramsey) was asleep in the PCPD interrogation room when he was awakened by Sonny. Corinthos told Peter there were cops at the PCPD who respected Jason (Steve Burton) and wanted August dead. Peter smirks that Sonny won’t kill him because if he died he would have the photos and video he took of Nina and Sonny released and everyone would find out. Maxie came GH to see Austin (Roger Howarth) and warned he could be in danger because Peter believed they were more than friends. Austin wasn’t worried, assuring Peter had a lot of enemies and someone would probably kill him before Peter came after him. Sonny told Peter he wasn’t there to kill him. He taunted that he wanted Peter to wonder when it would happen every time he heard a footstep approach his cell. Sonny added that Peter could think about that while Sonny was home playing with his daughters and with the people he loved. Willow reminded Nina her love for Sonny was based on a lie so it couldn’t have been pure. Nina asked now that she knew the truth, what was Willow going to do? Willow said she didn’t know. Brando told Gladys they couldn’t take Liam home yet until they got the baby’s prognosis from the doctor. Austin told Maxie he was proud of her for having the courage to comfort Peter. Nina listened as Michael asked Willow where she was. Willow answered she lost track of time. Sonny returned to GH and ran into Maxie who asked whether he was going to kill Peter. While Laura was upstairs taking her bath, Martin opened the door to the hitwoman who said she brought clean linens. Martin told her to put it down anywhere then pick up his popcorn to finish watching his movie. The women used a cord and tried to strangle Grey.

Thursday

Selina Wu (Linda Look) offered Carly (Laura Wright) condolences on Jason’s (Steve Burton) passing. She told Carly she wasn’t there to see her husband. Maxie (Kristen Storms) told Sonny (Maurice Benard) she wanted Peter (Wes Ramsey) dead. But Sonny said he had to live. Britt (Kelly Thiebauld) was uncomfortable watching Scott (Kin Shriner) and Liesl’s (Kathleen Gati) PDA. Ava (Maura West) couldn’t stop thinking about Nikolas’ (Marcus Coloma) Uncle Victor (Charles Shaughnessy). Laura (Genie Francis) heard a loud thump downstairs as she was running her bath. The hit woman urged Martin (Michael E. Knight) to stop struggling. Britt insisted things were over between her and Jason when Scott offered condolences. She left the room when Nina (Cynthia Watros) entered. She blamed herself for Jason’s death. Ava told Nikolas she wished he hadn’t thrown in with Victor. Laura clobbered the hit woman with a plunger, tied her up and told the guard to call a paramedic. Britt found Ms. Wu in her office. After introductions were made, Selina told Britt to stay out of Brad’s life so he could reinvent himself if granted parole. Carly told Michael she had a placenta eruption like Sasha (Sofia Mattson) when he was born. When Selina approached, Michael told Ms. Wu his position on Brad hadn’t changed. Maxie reminded Sonny of everyone Peter’s hurt. Nina told Liesl how she kept Sonny from his family. The hit woman refused to name Cyrus (Jeff Kober) as the person who hired her, even if it meant less time in prison. The paramedic took care of Martin’s injury. Grey wanted to take a soak before they were moved to another safe house. Sonny asked Selina to take Peter out. But Ms. Wu wanted a life for a life: Peter’s for Brad’s freedom. Liesl told Nina for redemption she had to make amends with Britta for what she took from her. She urged Nina to hold her head up high and fight for her life in court. Nikolas admitted he hired the person who shot Hayden (Rebecca Budig). Ava told Nikolas there could be no secret between them…it had to be all or nothing. Nikolas fell into Ava’s arms and asked whether it answered her question. Laura told Martin they had to return to Port Charles, assuming she’d protect him from Cyrus. Maxie came to Britt’s office. She suggested they (and Nina when she arrived) get wine wasted and toast a Peter free world. When Scott told her Sonny went by the name Mike when he was in Nixon Falls, Liesl remembered Nina telling her the new man in her life was named Mike. Sonny agreed to help secure Brad’s parole in exchange for Selina arranging Peter’s elimination. But he reminded there’d be hell to pay if Brad violated the original agreement and went anywhere near his grandson.

Friday

At The Metro Court, Selina (Linda Look) commented she hoped Sonny (Maurice Benard) was keeping himself busy with business. Chase told Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) he’d continue to play the part of Bailey’s father. Sasha (Sofia Mattsson) and Brando (Johnny Wactor) were excited for when they’d get to bring their son home. Peter (Wes Ramsey) told the guard he didn’t want any visitors unless there was bullet proof glass between them. Anna (Finola Hughes) entered the cell. Maxie told Nina (Cynthia Watros) and Britt (Kelly Monaco) that Peter would get what was coming to him. Michael (Chad Duell) assured Willow (Katelyn MacMuellen) he’d protect Wiley from Brad (Parry Shen). Carly (Laura Wright) walked up just as Selina told Sonny his organization needed to move forward from the loss of Mr. Morgan. After Ms. Wu left, Carly said if Sonny thought Jason could ever be replaced then Nixon Falls really did change him. Sonny knew Jason couldn’t be replaced. He added Nixon Falls has changed him but they were starting anew. Lucy (Lynn Herring) visited Sasha and told her how sales have increased because of The Face of Conception. Then they talked about motherhood with Lucy telling Sasha to savor every moment of her son’s life even the not so good ones. TJ (Taj Bellows) found Brando praying in the GH chapel. Although there was awkwardness after he found out Molly (Haley Puollos) and Brando slept together, TJ said if Corbin needed to talk he was there for him. Anna told Peter to give up all rights to his daughter so Maxie could have peace of mind when Louise was found. She also said if he accepted responsibility for his action, she’d do what she could for him. Michael was surprised Willow was forgiving of Chase and Brook Lynn having a child together. A prisoner whose face we didn’t see delivered food for Peter who at first order it was taken back saying he wasn’t hungry. But then Peter changed his mind and accepted the meal. Britt and the neonatologist arrived with news for Sasha and Brando after their son. Anna arrived at The Metro Court and offered her condolences to Sonny and Carly for Jason’s passing. Ms. Wu returned to The Metro Court and expressed concern for Carly’s family. Peter finished his meal and then doubled over in pain. We saw Brad passing the cart of inmate food; he was the prisoner who gave Peter his food.
