A weekly column highlighting the Port Charles happenings during the past week on General Hospital. Read below to find out what you missed or to refresh your memory in time for next week.

Monday

Laura (Genie Francis) spoke with Deputy Mayor Ashby and told her she was coming home. Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) commented to Chase (Josh Swickward) and Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) how unimaginably sad it was for Sasha (Sofia Mattsson) and Brando (Johnny Wactor) losing their child. At Charlie, Sonny (Maurice Benard) told Phyllis (Joyce Guy) about Sasha and Brando when Nina (Cynthia Watros) entered. Phyllis walked away. Nina and Scott talked about Sasha and Brando and then Peter (Wes Ramsey). Sonny told Nina that Peter was taken care of adding August was in a coma. Liesl (Kathleen Gati) expressed her condolences to Carly (Laura Wright). After Liesl walked away to join Scott (Kin Shriner). She told him she had information that could help Nina’s pre-trial hearing: Nina and Sonny were involved when he was in Nixon Falls going by Mike. Carly was happy to see Michael (Chad Duell) who told her about Brad (Parry Shen) being released from Pentonville and showing up at The Metro Court. Laura visited Cyrus and told him she wasn’t going to run and hide anymore or stay away from her family, adding the assassin he hired failed and he had no more favors to call in…he’s done. Cyrus insisted she was wrong and that he was a changed man who found a higher path. Victor (Charles Shaughnessy came to see his grand nephew at Kelly’s and told Spencer (Nicholas Chavez) he could help him with his legal troubles. After learning Spencer was living with Kevin (Jon Lindstrom), Victor offered to put Esme and Spencer up at The Metro Court. Spencer thought if he accepted the offer he’d be a hypocrite since he insisted he wanted to make his own way. Victor said Spencer can be virtuous without being uncomfortable. Phyllis spoke with Nina and gave her a warning about her lingering feelings for Sonny. Scott and Liesl came to Sonny, Carly and Michael’s table. Scott didn’t give away that he knew Nina and Sonny had been involved. But told Liesl that if Nina was called to testify by the prosecution, he’d question her about her and Sonny being in love. This would get the charges thrown out as the defense’s case was Nina keeping Sonny’s identity a secret put him in danger. Willow apologized to Brook Lynn for what she said about her keeping Bailey’s paternity a secret adding a mother will do anything to protect her child. Sonny and Carly warned Michael against doing anything Selina Wu would consider starting a war. Cyrus assured Laura he didn’t order a hit on her, adding she should spend more time finding her real enemy. Meanwhile outside Kelly’s, Victor told Attorney General Ashby his plan to lure Laura out of hiding worked.

Tuesday

Violet (Jophelle Love) told her daddy she loved her snow globe as she and Finn waited for Anna who entered and asked whether she was late. Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) looked at the Christmas tree and told Bailey this time next year she’ll be celebrating with Maxie (Kristen Storms). Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) arrived with Charlotte who had a Christmas present for Bailey. Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) was happy to see Drew (Cameron Mathison) enter Kelly’s. They talked about losing both Franco and Jason. Outside Kelly’s, Nikolas (Marcus Coloma) praised Trina’s artistic scarf. Ava (Maura West) was caught off guard when Victor (Charles Shaughnessy) entered Charlie’s. Kevin was ready to be Santa for the children at GH when he was surprised by “Mrs. Claus.” In order for him to have time with his wife, Laura (Genie Francis) came prepared with an understudy Martin (Michael E. Knight) who was more than happy to fill in as jolly old Saint Nick so his sister could spend time with her husband. Charlotte happily said she’ll teach Bailey how to say Merry Christmas in French. Once Charlotte left the room with the baby, Valentin thanked Brook Lynn for letting Charlotte spend time with Bailey. He was suspicious whether there was another reason Brook Lynn lied that he was Bailey’s father. Nikolas asked Trina whether he should give Ava the ruby or emerald necklace. Trina suggested if money was no object Nikolas shouldn’t break up the set. She also told him if he wanted to give Spencer a Christmas present it should be making up with him. Victor talked with Ava about the present he brought the Cassadine family. Esme, Cameron and Nikolas performed their duties as elves at GH. Laura told Kevin how Cyrus (Jeff Kober) insisted he wasn’t responsible for the hit made on her and Martin’s (Michael E. Knight) life. Laura said there was another threat looming and it was closer to the family. Kevin told his wife about Victor’s deal with the WSB for information. Laura reasoned Victor was the person who ordered the hit and told Kevin she’s going to let him think she didn’t suspect him. Victor learned from Deputy Mayor Ashby that Laura would be at the tree lighting ceremony. He said it was time for a reunion. Lucy (Lynn Herring) was surprised it turned out to be Martin and not Kevin behind the Santa beard. He suggested they go to The Metro Court. Finn asked Anna about her relationship with Valentin. At Kelly’s, Cameron (William Lipton) welcomed Drew (Cameron Mathison) home. Finn brought Violet to the tree lightning ceremony. Spencer was happy when Victor told him he’d solved his legal problems until his great uncle told him the best deal he could get was 500 hours community service, paying restitution to the victim and 30 days in Spring Ridge. Spencer pleaded with Laura for her help. Laura said she was sorry and then as the mayor, performed the tree lighting.

Wednesday

Marshall (Robert Gossett) arrived at GH. He was one of the volunteers performing. Epiphany (Sonya Eddy) introduced herself and Marshall smiled, calling her Dr. Johnson. Monica (Leslie Charleson) and Drew (Cameron Mathison) placed a bowl of punch (along with something to spike it) on the table. Monica commented about Alan, Edward and Jason but said the holiday wasn’t about loss but being grateful for what they had. Chase (Josh Swickward) and Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) entered the room. When Chase bent over, Brook Lynn reacted but was nasty in her response to him. Sam (Kelly Monaco) wasn’t happy when sisters Molly (Haley Pullos), Kristina (Lexi Ainsworth) and mom Alexis (Nancy Grahan) gave Scout and Danny, a tumberine, accordion and bongo drums. Liesl (Kathleen Gati) placed a present for Louise under the tree for when she came home. She thought it appalling that Nina (Cynthia Watros) wasn’t allowed to see Wiley for Christmas and wanted to call and give Willow (Katelyn MacMuellen) a piece of her mind. At the Corinthos house, Rocco brought in a gift bag the guard gave him that was left at the gate. It was a Christmas present from Nina to Wiley. Deanna told Sasha (Sofia Mattsson) before she was released from GH she needed to sign a form stating someone would be staying with her to take care of her. Brando (Johnny Wactor) asked Sasha to come home with him. But when they got into Brando’s car (Brando sitting in the back seat next to Sasha and Gladys driving), Gladys told Brando they had a stop to make first and she thinks he’ll be happy where they’re going. Portia (Brooke Kerr) told Curtis (Donnell Turner) how Trina (Sydney Mikayla) is spending Christmas Eve with Marcus and that she forgave him for pretending to be dead. Curtis said he didn’t think he could forgive his father as he watched Epiphany sing “O Christmas Tree” to Marcus’ accompaniment on the clarinet. Molly and Kristina asked Sam whether it’d be awkward being at the Quartermaines with both Drew and Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) there. Sean (Sean Blakemore) announced he was the new publisher of The Invader and through his public interest, will use the paper to print truths. Sasha, Brando and Gladys arrived at the Corinthos house. Sonny (Maurice Benard) told his cousin that the family had his back. Willow assured Sasha although cliche she’d get through her loss and it would hurt less and she’d cry less. Brando stepped out on the patio. Sasha threw on a wrap and went outside. Brando told Sasha he loved her and hoped losing Liam didn’t mean he lost her. But if he was a painful reminder of what they lost, he’d understand. Sasha said she loved Brando too and the legacy Liam left them was each other. Josslyn (Eden McCoy) gave Willow a letter she wrote her for Christmas saying Willow was like another sister like Avery and Donna. Drew loved the pink scarf Scout gave him from Christmas. Danny looked like a young Jason in his new leather jacket. Sean made a toast to Alexis. Liesl told Scott (Kin Shriner) she thought Willow knows about Nina and Sonny. Scott had to figure out a way to get Willow on the witness stand. Maxie was happy when Brook Lynn and Chase entered with Bailey. Brook Lynn said she brought someone who wanted to celebrate Christmas with Maxie. Monica showed Danny a photo of Jason wearing his leather jacket standing by his motorcycle. Danny said he’d learn to ride a motorcycle when he was older. Monica said that’s what his dad would have wanted as long as he was safe. While the Corinthos family had cake and cookies in the living room, Sasha and Brando looked up towards the sky thinking about their Christmas angel and son Liam.

Thursday

Martin (Michael E. Knight) woke up in bed with Lucy (Lynn Herring) in his room at The Metro Court. He told her he’s read about her and likes what he read. Sean (Sean Blakemore) came over to Alexis’ (Nancy Grahan) house and saw she was perusing a PCU course catalog. Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) arrived and told Sean and Alexis a body was discovered in Pine Barrens along with the gun used to shoot Hayden Barnes (Rebecca Budig). So as far as the PCPD was concerned, he was officially in the clear. Esme (Avery Kristen Pohl) arrived at the Webber house and told Cameron (William Lipton) and Josslyn (Eden McCoy) the worst possible thing happened. Victor (Charles Shaughnessy) at Kelly’s and asked Spencer (Nicholas Chavez) how it felt to have his legal woes over. After introducing his uncle to Trina (Sydney Mikayla), Spencer said he thought Victor would get him off and he wouldn’t have to go to prison…even though Spring Ridge was a minimum security facility. Victor told Spencer it was the best deal anyone could have gotten him. He reminded Spencer that he was a Cassadine and told him to keep a stiff upper lip. Esme told Cameron and Josslyn how even though she was just as guilty for stalking Ava (Maura West) if not more so, Spencer was the only one being punished. Esme wanted to give Spencer some happy memories before he reported to Spring Ridge to serve his sentence. She asked Josslyn if she could ask her stepfather to use his cabin. At The Metro Court, Laura (Genie Francis) urged Nikolas (Marcus Coloma) to make amends with Spencer. Nikolas confessed that he gave Victor a place to hide on Cassadine Island because it was his uncle who nursed him back to health after he was shot by Valentin (James Patrick Stuart). Lucy and Martin entered. While Kevin (Jon Lindstrom) spoke with Lucy, Laura told Martin how At the courthouse for Nina’s (Cynthia Watros) pre-trial hearing, Willow (Katelyn MacMuellen) thought about when Nina told her to keep secret her involvement with Sonny (Maurice Benard) in Nixon Falls. Scott (Kin Shriner) spoke with Liesl (Kathleen Gati) on the phone and assured he’d help Nina avoid going to trial. Sonny took the stand and testified about how after losing his memory he ended up in Nixon Falls working at The Tan-o. He answered the prosecutor’s question about Nina Reeves knowing his true identity but keeping it a secret from him. Scott asked why he didn’t press charges. Sonny said he wanted to put it behind him and get home to his wife and family. Nikolas called Sean to tell him the money was wired into his account and Butler told him how the police found the shooter. As Nikolas lived up to their end of the bargain, their business was concluded. Scott accused Willow and Michael of trying to bribe the D.A. with their contribution to his political campaign for State Attorney General. To disprove this and because Michael initiated the case, Willow was called to the stand…which was what Scott wanted.

Friday

General Hospital airs encore from Tuesday, February 23, 2021

Diane (Carolyn Hennessey) instructed Carly (Laura Wright) on how to answer questions in her new statement. Maxie (Kristen Storms) came to Crimson to see how Nina (Cynthia Watros) was doing. Nina said she was furious. She knew Carly was lying though she admitted confronting her at the service wasn’t the most appropriate place. Jax (Ingo Radmacher) told Alexis (Nancy Grahan) how Nina overheard and misunderstood his conversation with Carly and now he has to give a statement to the FBI. Alexis reminded Jax how client attorney privilege no longer applied. Using the code name Sparrow, Britt (Kelly Thiebauld) met with her mother and told Liesl (Kathleen Gati) how Anna’s (Finola Hughes) been asking questions of the WSB on Liesl’s whereabouts. Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) told Anna their suspicions of Peter (Wes Ramsey) were worse than they thought and he’s been lying about the kind of man he was. He explained how Peter set Obretch up and was responsible for the hits on Andre and Franco (Roger Howath) and Drew’s (Billy Miller) plane crash. Liesl decided it was “Time to confront the beast in its lair.” Finn (Michael Easton) and Peter tried on their tuxedos for the double wedding. Finn commented how his love for Anna made him a better man. Peter said he knew how Finn felt. Maxie wanted Nina to remember the woman Nelle (Chloe Lanier) was and how even though she was raised by Frank Benson who stole her kidney, Nelle was responsible for her own actions. Liesl told Britt she would search Maxie and Peter’s while they weren’t there. Willow (Katelyn MacMuellen) suggested to Michael (Chad Duell) allowing Nina to spend some time with Wiley may help bridge the anger between her and his mother. Carly gave her updated statement to the FBI and stuck to her original version. Valentin told Anna they’d have to ask the tough question of how long would they protect Peter at the expense of those they loved. Finn joined Alexis at The Bistro and they talked about the struggle of remaining sober. Maxie met Britt and said with both Lulu and Georgie gone it was good to have sisters again (Nina and Britt). Anna called Peter and asked him to come over. Willow and Michael brought Wiley over to Crimson so Nina could spend time with her grandson.
