A weekly column highlighting the Port Charles happenings during the past week on General Hospital. Read below to find out what you missed or to refresh your memory in time for next week.

Monday

Laura (Genie Francis) came over to see Sonny (Maurice Benard) and gave him the sad news that Luke died. Laura and Sonny talked about Cyrus (Jeff Kober) finding God and also about the problems between Carly (Laura Wright) and Sonny because of Nina (Cynthia Watros). Sonny worried that he and Carly may not be able to come back from this. Carly confronted Nina at Crimson. Nina gloated about being with Sonny on New Year’s Eve after Carly turned him away. It was just another secret Sonny kept from Carly. Nina said Carly should be concentrating on Sonny not being there with her. She added that Sonny may get tired of Carly and all her drama and come to her… and if he did, she wouldn’t turn him away. Trina (Sydney Mikayla) saw her mother and Curtis (Donnell Turner) sharing a kiss. Portia (Brook Kerr) was a little embarrassed. Trina told them the trip to Sonny’s cabin was still happening. Curtis left and allowed the mother and daughter to spend time alone together. Spencer (Nicholas Chavez) vents to Esme (Avery Kristen Pohl) about working for Trina as retribution for what he did to Ava (Maura West) and how Ava used his trust fund to pay for their business meeting. He and Esme started making out. But someone arrived at the door. A shirtless Spencer answered the door and was surprised to find his uncle Victor (Charles Shaughnessey) standing there. Victor told Spencer it was time for the Cassadines to come together as a family. Victor told Spencer it was time he lived up to the Cassadine family mantle by bringing his father and Ava into the fold, adding in time her influence over Nikolas will wane. Victor told Spencer (much to Esme’s chagrin) he’ll learn women in his life will come and go but family is forever. Marshall (Robert Gossett) came to see TJ (Taj Bellow) at GH. He told him how he wanted Curtis to get to know him now and not who he was. Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) told Finn (Michael Easton) about finding her wedding ring in her locker at GH after she put it in the kitchen drawer. She wondered which of her boys could have put it in her pocket (which is how it probably ended up at GH). Finn asked whether they should reschedule their dinner. Carly slapped Nina when Ms. Reeves said she couldn’t assure what happened between her and Sonny in Nixon Falls wouldn’t happen in Port Charles. Elizabeth thanked Finn for understanding, adding they had plenty of dinners in the future. Sonny listened to a voicemail from the pharmacy reminding him to refill his lithium prescription. Carly warned Nina to stay away from Sonny. Laura was shocked when she returned home and found Victor there.

Tuesday

Curtis (Donnell Turner) demanded Marshall tell him where he’s been all these years. “Are you hungry?” Sonny (Maurice Benard) asked Carly (Laura Wright) as he made them dinner. Nina (Cynthia Watros) was nursing the bruise on her face from Carly’s slap when Willow (Katelyn MacMuellen) arrived at her office at Crimson. Britt assured Austin they could navigate one night out together with him as a wingman. But after trying to strike up conversations with some men at The Savoy, Britt said Austin was terrible as a wingman. Maxie asked Felicia what they would tell Lulu when she woke up one day and asked for her father. They drank a toast to Luke. But Felicia told her daughter she was afraid she wasn’t doing well. Maxie told Felicia she didn’t have the luxury to have a breakdown because she had to be strong for her kids. Victor told Laura his hope one day the Cassadines will be able to get past the negative press they’ve gained over the years. Laura told Victor she’d never advocate for him. Esme and Spencer returned from the kitchen. Victor continued to talk about how he wants to help the Cassadines’ image. Marshall told Curtis he was tired of him coming at him with an attitude. He explained that he stayed away to keep his family out of danger from the trouble he brought to their door. He had to make sure no one came looking for him and must have done a good job because no one ever came looking for him. Curtis asked whether the player that put him in danger was the mob. Carly and Sonny had an awkward dinner. He asks whether she’s reached out to her mother Bobbie (Jackie Zeman) and told her Luke died. Carly told Sonny that Nina told her how she brought him home on New Year’s Eve. “I put the fear of God in Nina. But I don’t think she’d mind if you checked on her” Carly told Sonny. Willow asked Nina to give up her legal rights to Wiley in exchange for her help in keeping the peace with Michael (Chad Duell). Nina said she may consider it if Willow can assure Michael won’t use it against her. Austin admitted to Britt he liked Maxie while Maxie told Felicia she’s come to rely on Dr. Austin Gatlin Holt. But he added that his interest in Maxie is bad timing because she has so much going on in her life. Victor offered his condolences on Luke’s passing. But Laura knew he was lying because he didn’t care about Luke. Curtis told Marshall he could protect him because he knew people outside the law who could keep them safe…all he needed was a name. But Marshall said the best way Curtis could protect the family was to leave it alone and stop asking questions. Nina told Willow as she couldn’t guarantee Michael would let her see Wiley if she gave up her rights she couldn’t risk it. Carly told Sonny she wanted him gone by morning and if he wasn’t, she’d leave.

Wednesday

At GH, Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) asked Austin (Roger Howarth) whether they could have a do over. Austin just walked away. At Charlie’s, Alexis (Nancy Grahan) and Sam (Kelly Monaco) talked about making Tracy (Jane Elliott) pay for lying and getting Alexis arrested. Ned (Wally Kurth) told his mother he paid her bail. Tracy was annoyed because she spent the night in jail and berated her son for taking so long. Ned introduced her to her attorney Martin Grey (Michael E. Knight), who she referred to as the brother of a ponytailed mobster. Nina (Cynthia Watros) thanked Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) for coming when she called. He reminded he could never deny her. Carly (Laura Wright) came downstairs to the kitchen and found Sonny (Maurice Benard) giving Avery (Ava and Grace Scarola) and Donna their lunches before they left for school. Carly reminded she thought they had an understanding when she told him she wanted him gone in the morning. “You thought wrong” was Sonny’s response, adding he refused to give up on their marriage by drawing a line in the sand. Carly told Sonny that Jason would be a fond memory of her past but unless he killed Nina (not physically but mentally), she’d always come between them. So, Carly would be staying at The Metro Court. Austin reminded Brook Lynn how she almost ruined his career. Nina asked Valentin to team up with her against a common enemy: Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell). Robert (Tristan Rogers) met with Olivia (Lisa LoCicero) at The Metro Court. She told him she’d reconciled with Ned. Tracy refused a plea deal that would involve any jail time, community service or an admission of guilt. She explained to Ned she had to be free to leave the country and go to Amsterdam to settle Luke’s (Anthony Geary) affairs. Martin asked Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) to intercede on Tracy’s behalf. Alexis commented to Sam that Luke’s death was a sort of karmic punishment for Tracy. Harmony entered and joined Sam and Alexis at their table. Learning what Tracy did, Harmony told Alexis she didn’t need to forgive her but perhaps she could extend an olive branch because people can change and make amends for what they’ve done. Austin told Brook Lynn how she used Leo in her scheme to get him to sign away his claim to the ELQ shares. Valentin told Nina he couldn’t help her as besides going up against the Quartermaines and Corinthos, a child (Wiley) would be caught in the middle. Alexis appeared at Tracy’s cell and announced she told Robert she wouldn’t be cooperating in the case of The People vs. Tracy Quartermaine. So without a victim, Robert said the District Attorney’s Office would be passing on this one. Tracy left the PCPD. Harmony told Sam she wanted to make amends for everything she’d done. Although she believed her to be sincere, Sam warned Harmony she’d be watching her. Alexis told Ned she did what she did not for him or Tracy, but for Luke and mostly for her. Tracy cornered Brook Lynn in the elevator. When Brook Lynn said she had to get home to her and Chase’s baby, Tracy said “You mean Maxie’s baby.” Valentin arrived at Austin’s office. Dr. Gatlin-Holt asked whether Cassadine wanted to join forces to get revenge on Brook Lynn. Nina called Martin and asked whether he had time for lunch. Sonny threw his lithium bottle of pills at the wall. Carly came back to The Metro Court and told Olivia she’d be staying there for a while because the house wasn’t big enough for her and Sonny.

Thursday

Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) told Chase (Josh Swickward) that Tracy (Jane Elliott) figured out Bailey was Maxie’s daughter. Brad (Parry Shen) had lunch with Britt (Kelly Thiebauld) in her office. Britt asked why Brad was hiding out in her office. He explained that being on the outside was hard because his marriage was over and he couldn’t get a job. Felicia (Kristina Wagner) came to visit Peter (Wes Ramsey)and said she was looking for a soul. At The Metro Court, Anna (Finola Hughes) asked Maxie (Kristen Storms) whether there was anything she left out that could help them find Louise. Valentin (Charles Shaughnessy) approached Drew (Cameron Mathison) at The Metro Court bar. Sam (Kelly Monaco) arrived and had to pull Drew away before the altercation became physical. Sam gave Drew a drawing from Scout and talked about her incarceration for Shiloh’s murder. She also told him how Valentin got control of Danny and Scout’s ELQ voting shares. Brook Lynn told Chase her grandmother felt they should take Bailey and move to Amsterdam, an ocean away from Peter to keep her safe. She added if Tracy figured it out it was only a matter of time before Peter did. Chase didn’t think taking Maxie’s daughter across the ocean was a good idea. Instead he suggested they move in with him. Because Chase’s apartment was too small for the three of them, Brook Lynn said Lucy (Lynn Herring) could help them find a rental. Felicia angrily told Peter how his going to extremes was responsible for the loss of his daughter. She reminded him he let the people who believed in him down. Anna thought Peter could be pretending to have information about Louise to help his case. After taunting Drew, Victor decided to bother Anna and Maxie. Peter called Felicia princess and said she didn’t raise her children because she preferred traveling the globe looking for adventure. He added that when he and Maxie discussed how they’d raise their daughter she would say she’d the opposite of what her mother did. Victor came to Austin’s office looking for Valentin. He learned how close Maxie and Brook Lynn had become and reasoned the way to get revenge on Brook Lynn may lie with Maxie. Anna told Maxie her plan to have Ms. Jones work with a therapist to unlock what she may be forgetting about the night Louise was born. Maxie panicked when Anna said Austin should be there too. Brook Lynn found the perfect house listing and told Chase her grandmother would pay for it to keep her safe from Peter. Brad told Britt he committed a crime even worse than what he did with Wiley. “I poisoned Peter August,” Brad confessed.

Friday

At The Metro Court, Drew (Cameron Mathison) showed Carly (Laura Wright) the drawing Scout made for him. He talked about the night on the bridge and reminded he was there for her. Britt (Kelly Thiebauld) couldn’t believe Brad (Parry Shen) poisoned Peter (Wes Ramsey) , reminding he’s not a killer. Brad told Britt he didn’t know what his Aunt Selina wanted until it was too late. Laura (Genie Francis) called Spencer (Nicholas Chavez) downstairs and announced they were having a family meeting to discuss unity. Nikolas (Marcus Coloma) entered. Ava (Maura West) arrived at Crimson. Nina (Cynthia Watros) was finishing up a meeting with Martin (Michael E. Knight). Nina told Ava she fired Scott (Kin Shriner) and hired Martin as her new attorney and planned to exercise her grandparent rights. Carly spoke with her son on the phone and told Michael (Chad Duell) she took a suite at The Metro Court. Michael hadn’t spoken with Sonny (Maurice Benard) since finding out about his dad in Nina. Martin told Nina she could win her case and get more visit time with Wiley but it may cost her. Brad told Britt his fear his Aunt Selina would have him killed if he crossed her. Dante entered to discuss Peter August’s transfer to the infirmary at Pentonville. He told Britt about the medical documentation needed from her and warned Brad about living with Ms. Wu before leaving. Britt urged Brad to leave the prison mentality behind and take his life back. Carly told Drew about her problems with Sonny. Laura told Spencer it was time to forgive Nikolas so he and his father could get their relationship back before Spencer had to report to Spring Ridge to begin his sentence. Nikolas apologized for hurting Spencer and told his son he loved him. Spencer started to soften but then Esme (Avery Kristen Pohl) arrived. She immediately became protective of Spencer and wanted to stay for the family meeting. But Spencer assured he was okay. Kevin (Jon Lindstrom) offered to take Esme out for a coffee. Esme told Spencer to text if he needed her and she’d be right back. Michael yelled at Sonny that by helping Nina get the charges dropped, he chose her over family. Spencer told Nikolas he’d reconcile with him but only if he dumped Ava. At The Bistro, Kevin assured Esme that Spencer was in no danger from his father and grandmother. Esme commented she didn’t know how Kevin could talk about the safety of family when his brother was Ryan Chamberlain. Dr. Collins reminded Esme that Ryan has killed and wouldn’t hesitate to kill her if given the chance. When she left the table to use the restroom, Kevin called Spring Ridge and said he needed to speak with the warden about restricting someone’s access. Britt assured Brad she wasn’t afraid of Selina Wu and wouldn’t let anything happen to him. Ava warned Nina if she pursued a case for her grandparents’ rights, she’d risk losing Sonny. Carly told Drew she was glad she got another chance to get to know him. Dante stopped a heated argument between Sonny and Michael. Sonny told Dante that Carly was staying at The Metro Court. But he vowed he’d get her back.
