A weekly column highlighting the Port Charles happenings during the past week on General Hospital. Read below to find out what you missed or to refresh your memory in time for next week.

Monday

Sam (Kelly Monaco) and Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) enjoy spending the day at The Metro Court Pool. Spencer (Nicholas Chavez) reminded Esme (Avery Kristen Pohl) if they go to The Metro Court Pool they’ll run the risk of running into Joss (Eden McCoy) and Trina (Sydney Mikayla). Josslyn told Trina she and Cameron (William Lipton) would testify on her behalf at her trial tomorrow. Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) was surprised to find Nina (Cynthia Watros) celebrating July 4th at her Crimson office. Carly (Laura Wright) met with her financial advisor and discussed securing a loan to buy back her half of The Metro Court. Olivia (Lisa LoCierco) appeared at Carly’s office and wanted her to swallow her pride and accept her help. When Rory appeared, Josslyn suggested Trina take him up on his offer and join him for a picnic to take her mind off the trial tomorrow. Joss decided to go see her mother. Sonny (Maurice Bernard) greets Willow (Katelyn MacMuellen) and Michael (Temporary played by Robert Adamson). He asked how Willow was doing. She said there was something he should know but instead of telling him she was pregnant, Willow thanked Sonny for taking her to GH when she passed out. Next, Sonny ran into Esme and Spencer. Esme was scared. Spencer reminded his Uncle Sonny he promised his grandmother he’d leave Esme alone. Sonny intended to keep his promise and asked to speak with his nephew in private. Sonny asked Spencer what happened to him. Spencer assured he knew what he was doing and would never do anything to not earn his uncle’s respect. Sonny warned his nephew to be careful. Cody told Sam and Dante about his work with Leo’s horse, Comet. Britt (Kelly Thiebauld) felt like a third wheel joining Maxie (Kristen Storms) and Austin (Roger Howarth) on their picnic. She had an excuse to leave when Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) arrived. Willow and Michael arrived at Carly’s office and gave her the happy news they were having a baby. Josslyn entered and was pleased she was going to be an aunt again. Nina told Valentin about the letter she got from Charlotte from boarding school. Rory offered Trina a brownie and they kissed. Sam and Dante watched the fireworks. Cody thanked Spinelli for arranging him to be a match for Dr. Westbourne. Britt accepted Cody as her match. Esme texted Spencer saying he was missing the fireworks. Spencer saw Rory and Trina kissing and walked away. Olivia told Sonny how Carly refused her help. Nina entered her office at The Metro Court, Carly ordered her to leave.

Tuesday

Due to ongoing breaking news coverage, today’s scheduled episode of General Hospital will air tomorrow. #GH

Wednesday

Brando (Johnny Wactor) sat by Sasha’s (Sofia Mattesson) bedside. Curtis (Donnell Turner) questions Portia (Brook Kerr) when he heard her finishing up a call and saying something was urgent. Trina (Tabyana Ali) and Rory (Michael Kruse) reflected on their kiss. At The Metro Court Pool, Olivia (Lisa LoCierco) and Sonny (Maurice Bernard) talked about someone buying Carly’s (Laura Wright) share of The Metro Court. Sonny saw Drew (Cameron Mathison) and wondered whether he was her savior. Nina told Carly she bought the hotel for her. Sasha told Brando how embarrassed she was for having a breakdown on live TV. Gladys (Bonnie Burroughs) entered. Sasha talked about going home tomorrow. Trina asked Rory whether their kiss was just the distraction she asked for. Curtis and Marshall (Robert Gossett) vowed to Portia they weren’t quitting until they got evidence to exonerate Trina. Drew assured Sonny he didn’t buy Carly’s half of The Metro Court, then explained his plan for Nina to buy Aurora. Sonny left to go to GH to check on Brando and Sasha. Nina explained how she owed Carly and hoped buying The Metro Court would tip the scale in some small way. She urged Carly to let her do this for her and accept her offer. But Carly refused because of what Nina allowed Scott (Kin Shriner) to do to Michael (Chad Duell) on the stand. Brando told Sasha they should discuss with the doctor outpatient treatment options. Gladys admits she told Brando about Sasha taking the uppers to get through the IPO. She left to allow them to talk alone. Brando asked Sasha whether she was taking drugs when they got married. She assured she wasn’t. At GH, Sonny told Gladys that Mike (Max Gail) would approve of her standing by her daughter-in-law. Trina told Rory she wanted to kiss him but asked if she were convicted, what kind of future would they have? Portia questions Marshall about developing his schizophrenia symptoms in his twenties. Sasha told Gladys she wasn’t going to do outpatient treatment; once she checked out, decisions for her treatment would be hers and hers alone. Carly told Drew and Olivia that Nina bought her share of The Metro Court. Nina came to GH to see Sasha. Sonny told her he knew she bought Carly’s share of The Metro Court and understood Carly’s refusal to accept, believing Nina had ulterior motives. Sonny told Nina he was all in for a relationship between them.

Thursday

Laura (Genie Francis) came over to Portia (Brooke Kerr) and Curtis (Donnell Turner) house with a letter attesting to Trina’s (Tabyana Ali) good character. Curtis and Marshall (Robert Gossett) arrive at the place of the guy who sold Esme (Avery Kristen Pohl) the burner phone. Ava (Maura West) told Nikolas (Marcus Coloma) Trina’s trial started today. Esme startled Spencer (Nicholas Chavez) and asked what kept him from joining her for the fourth of July fireworks. On the terrace of The Metro Court, Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) brought his father champagne orange juice. Victor (Charles Shaughnessy) told Valentin that since he botched things, he’d have to take care of things himself. Diane (Carolyn Hennessy) told Trina, Portia, Laura and Josslyn because Scott was called away, she would be taking over her case. But although Ms. Miller had an impressive track record, Diane told the group she had innocent clients convicted of crimes they didn’t commit. But Diane said Trina was her best defense because she was a good person…and anyone could see that. Curtis commented to the guy who sold Trina the phone that he must be nervous about the upcoming Trina Robinson trial. Spencer told Esme the surprise he had for her would rock her world. Valentin reminded Victor if he would have gone through with their plan, suspicion would have been cast on him because people have seen him and Laura together. Victor said Valentin would have to earn his trust before he divulged his entire plan. Spencer dropped the DNA results from Carly (Laura Wright) and Josslyn’s samples. He bumped into Rory and dropped the test results on the floor. Victor’s henchmen aimed a rifle at Laura. Valentin spotted the sniper and moved Laura out of the way in time. Laura questioned how strange Valentin was acting and asked what was wrong with him. Curtis told Marshall the guy took the bait. Spencer confronted Rory about kissing Trina on the fourth of July. Ava came to Portia’s house to offer her support to Trina. When Trina noticed she left the necklace her father gave her for her eighteenth birthday which she wanted to wear for court at the gallery, Ava offered to go get it for her. After Ava left, Trina told Josslyn she had an alibi for when the video was posted…she was with Spencer. She explained how she saw Spencer when he was supposed to be at Spring Ridge. Josslyn was furious that Spencer was thinking of himself when he had information to help Trina. Rory reminded Spencer he had a girlfriend…so why would he care? Curtis and Marshall followed the guy who sold Esme the burner phone to the harbor. Marshall thought he was leaving town. But Curtis said he was taking the launch to Wydemere. Marshall commented that wasn’t that where Esme Prince lived. Nikolas told Esme he couldn’t get her privilege to go to Spring Ridge rescinded. Marshall wanted to go to Wyndemere to get the goods on Esme. But Curtis said it was private property so only someone authorized to be there could help them. Just then, Ava appeared to wait to board the launch. Valentin called Victor to berate him for sending a sniper after Laura. He suggested a more subtle way to get Mayor Collins out of their way. While speaking with Nikolas at GH, Laura received a phone call about her mother.

Friday

Drew (Cameron Mathison) arrived as Carly (Laura) finished packing up her office. Olivia (Lisa LoCierco) offered to pay Nina (Cynthia Watros) every cent she paid plus three percent. But Nina said her half wasn’t for sale. “Why not Nina?” Sonny (Maurice Bernard) asked. Ava (Maura West) told Curtis (Donnell Turner) and Marshall (Robert Gossett) to count her in on their plan if it helped Trina (Tabyana Ali). Portia (Brooke Kerr) asked what the game changing evidence was when she heard the end of Trina and Josslyn’s (Eden McCoy) conversation. The guy who sold Esme (Avery Kristen Pohl) the burner phone warned the police would be interested in what he had to say. At GH, Laura (Genie Francis) told Nikolas (Marcus Coloma) and Spencer (Nicholas Chavez) she had to go to Italy and asked them to promise to get along while she was away. Trina told her mother they were talking about the burner phone lead. Once they were alone, Josslyn told Trina she couldn’t take her secret. If it looked like Trina would be convicted, she’d shout-out the truth in open court. Drew offered to help Carly move her things from The Metro Court. But Carly already called the movers. Nina told Olivia and Sonny her half of The Metro Court wasn’t for sale…she was Olivia’s new partner. The man demanded Esme meet him later for a payoff. A call from Avery delayed Ava catching them together. Laura told Kevin (Jon Lindstrom) she needed him to stay in Port Charles. Portia encouraged Stella (Vernee Watson) not to attend Trina’s trial for fear the stress could affect Ms. Henry’s health. Carly showed Drew old photos of her kids when they were little at The Metro Court during past Nurses Balls and said it brought up a lot of memories. Nina told Sonny she was keeping her half of The Metro Court so Wiley would inherit it. Ava offered Esme to name her price to sign a confession…she wouldn’t have to spend a single day in prison because Ava would buy her a plane ticket anywhere out of the country. Portia told Stella of her hate for Esme and how she felt she failed Trina by not preparing her. Carly took the name plate from the door and walked out the office for the last time. Nikolas and Spencer interrupted the negotiations between Ava and Esme. Once Ava and Nikolas left the room, Spencer told Esme that Ava couldn’t give her the one thing she wanted. Ava called Curtis and told him by the time she got there the man was gone so she was unable to catch him with Esme. Marshall asked Curtis what would they do now. “Are you okay?” Sonny asked when he and Nina saw Carly and Drew in the lobby of The Metro Court. Carly thought about when Harmony told her Nina was Willow’s mother and answered, “I have my family.” Then, Carly walked out of the building with her head held high.
