A weekly column highlighting the Port Charles happenings during the past week on General Hospital. Read below to find out what you missed or to refresh your memory in time for next week.

Monday

Nina (Cynthia Watros) told Sonny (Maurice Benard) she was there because her Aunt Liesl (Kathleen Gati) overheard someone say he was in a bad way and she was worried he wasn’t taking his medication. Sonny assured he was and told her he was meeting Carly (Laura Wright). When she offered to leave, Sonny told Nina she didn’t have to “My marriage is over.” At GH, Carly asked about Dante (Dominic Zamprogna), who told Sam (Temporary being played by Lindsey Hartley). Anna (Finola Hughes) told Robert (Tristan Rogers) although Mac (John J. York) lost a lot of blood and had to be stabilized first before being transported to GH, he shouldn’t count him out yet. Victor (Charles Shaugnessey) demanded to know from his henchman where Peter (Wes Ramsey) was. August Chase (Josh Swickard) put out an Amber Alert for Bailey and said to Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) “Peter’s got his daughter. He’s got Bailey.” Peter took a moment to rest but assured Louise no one would find them. The doctor told Dante he had a concussion and they wanted to keep him overnight. Carly entered the exam room and was relieved Dante was going to be okay and knew Sonny would be too. Chase called Dante and told him Peter kidnapped Bailey; he told him he needed him to come over right away because he trusted him. Wondering what Peter had to gain by taking Chase and Brook Lynn’s baby, Anna suggested she and Dante joy forces to help bring Bailey home. Brook Lynn blamed herself for Peter getting her hands and started having a panic attack. Chase told Brook Lynn she needed to call Maxie (Kristen Storms). Brook Lynn made the dreaded phone call. Maxie was upset that after all they did to protect Louise, her psycho father had her. Maxie admitted to Felicia (Kristina Wagner) that Bailey was Louise before rushing off to Chase and Brook Lynn’s place. Nina told Sonny if she could go back she’d do things differently and tell everyone he was alive. Sonny told Nina he still felt something between them. And since he believed Carly gave up on their marriage, Sonny fell into a passionate kiss with Nina and led her to the stateroom. Peter told Louise that Mommy’s friend (Brook Lynn) was a liar and she shouldn’t believe the bad things said about him. He vowed to give her the world. But first had to make one last deal with the devil before they began their new life. Robert told Felicia her daughter was brilliant for hiding Peter’s daughter right under his nose. Dante asked whether Peter still thought Bailey was Valentin’s (James Patrick Stuart) daughter. Chase told Brook Lynn it was time to come clean and tell the truth. “It’s not my truth to tell” Brook Lynn said as Maxie entered and announced to Anna and Dante that Bailey was Louise. Victor vowed to eliminate Peter August for thinking he got the best of him. Peter called and after telling Victor he disabled the tracking device on the car, agreed to hold up his end of the deal as long as Victor arranged safe passage out of Port Charles for him and his daughter. Nina and Sonny made love in the stateroom he had romantically decorated for Carly. He was unaware Carly boarded The Haunting Star. Following the trail of white rose petals, Carly opened the stateroom door and saw Nina and Sonny in bed.

Tuesday

Drew (Cameron Mathison) arrived at GH and asked Sam (Kelly Monaco) about Dante (Dominic Zamprogna). “Bailey is Louise ” Maxie (Kristen Storms) announced. Ned (Wally Kurth) thought that Maxie was just reacting in sympathy. Felicia (Kristina Wagner) and Robert (Tristan Rogers) learned Mac (John J. York) was in recovery. Felicia was allowed to visit her husband while Laura (Genie Francis) hugged Robert in comfort and support. Felicia told Mac how Robin (Kimberly McCullough) was trying to get a flight out. But Felicia knew he’d be up on his feet in no time. Felicia remembered when Mac asked her to marry her. Carly (Laura Wright) followed white rose petals to the stateroom. She was shocked when she opened the door and found Sonny (Maurice Benard) in bed with Nina (Cynthia Watros). Carly rushed out of the room. Nina and Sonny got dressed. Victor (Charles Shaughnessey) to meet him on Pier 55 and he’d arrange his safe passage out of Port Charles. But Victor told his henchman August has outlived his usefulness and was a waste of carbon. Peter (Wes Ramsey) told Bailey that Victor couldn’t be trusted but neither could he. Charlotte assured Kevin (Jon Lindstrom) she’d stay in the apartment while he went to join her grandmother at GH. Robert told Laura that Bailey was Louise so that was why Peter took her. Maxie revealed her and Brook Lynn’s plan to pass Louise off as Bailey. Anna told Maxie they had to search the house and grounds for clues. Drew told Sam he’d kill Peter if he had to but wouldn’t do anything to cost him any more time with his daughter. Charlotte opened the door for her pizza. Peter held the pizza box and forced his way in. We saw the delivery boy knock out on the floor. Carly thought about one of the times Sonny asked her to marry her when Sonny approached her on the deck. He apologized for his mistake. But Carly said he wanted to sleep with Nina since he returned from Nixon Falls. “The same way you wanted to sleep with Jason.” Carly was angry with Sonny for trying to bring Jason into it and reminding there were three people in their marriage. And to make it easy for him, she was choosing herself…their marriage was over. Brook Lynn explained to her father how she initially pretended to be pregnant with Valentin’s (James Patrick Stuart) baby in order to get back the family’s controlling interest in ELQ. She sadly said he must hate her. Ned told his daughter although he was disappointed he no longer had a granddaughter, he was never more proud of Brook Lynn for all she did to protect Maxie’s baby from Peter. Anna returned to GH and told Laura she needed Dante’s help finding Peter. She reasoned the only person who could be helping him was Victor Cassadine. Sonny arrived at GH and ran into Nina. Carly came to the Quartermaine mansion looking for Michael (Chad Duell) but found Drew instead.. Mac was awake. Felicia told him that soon everything would be back to normal and everyone would be where they belonged. Peter met Victor on Pier 55. A target appeared on August’s shirt but Peter warned Victor “If I die then so does your granddaughter Charlotte.”

Wednesday

Carly (Laura Wright) told Drew (Cameron Mathison) she did go see Sonny (Maurice Benard) aboard The Haunted Star. “And I found him in bed with another woman.” Sonny told Nina (Cynthia Watros) he was at GH to check whether Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) was okay. Anna (Finola Hughes) wondered how Victor (Charles Shaugnessey) found out Bailey was Maxie’s (Kristen Storms) daughter. Austin (Roger Howarth) assured Maxie they’d find Louise. Kevin (Jon Lindstrom) told Laura (Genie Francis) he’s been calling Charlotte but she hasn’t answered. Peter (Wes Ramsey) told Victor if he died he’d never see his granddaughter alive. When Britt (Kelly Thiebauld) and Liesl (Kathleen Gati) approached, Austin told Maxie he called them because he thought she could use some moral support. Laura left a voicemail for Charlotte and asked her to call her back when she got the message. Then, Laura called Esme (Avery Kristen Pohl) and asked her to tell when she got home to ask Charlotte to return her call. Peter told Victor that Charlotte could be hidden in one of the many warehouses. He’ll tell him once Victor lives up to his part of the bargain. Maxie told Britt and Liesl the truth about Louise. Sonny was there when Anna told Nina about Peter taking Louise. Nina commented how all Maxie did to keep the secret, Peter got to Louise anyway. Laura worried when Esme let her know Charlotte wasn’t home. Cary told Drew her marriage was over because of Sonny’s infidelity while Drew said he’d hoped he could get his life back with Sam (Kelly Monaco) but she’d move on with Dante. Sonny praised Nina for giving into Peter’s blackmail back in Nixon Falls without revealing Bailey was Louise. A restaurant employee tossing trash out back in the dumpster found Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) and at his request, used his cell phone to call Anna. Austin told Maxie it was his fault Victor found out Bailey was Louise. Maxie accused Austin’s wanting to get back at Brook Lynn for the error and said she couldn’t deal with this now. Liesl vowed once Louise was found Dr. Gatlin-Holt would have to deal with her. Drew and Carly almost kissed but Carly pulled back. Drew said kissing her was a way to forget Sam. Carly added she couldn’t because he was a friend; it would be easier if he were a stranger. Sam blurted out she loved Dante but was embarrassed even though she felt that way. Dante was elated as he loved her too but didn’t want to put her on the spot by saying it first. Peter called Maxie and told her if she wanted to see Louise again she’d meet him on Pier 55. But if she didn’t come alone and leave her cell phone, he and their daughter would be long gone. Austin wanted to apologize and asked Maxie where she was going. “To find my daughter” Maxie answered before getting on the elevator. Anna came to see Valentin in an exam room at GH and told Deanna that he was given something to appear drunk so no one would take seriously anything he said. Kevin and Laura entered looking for Anna. Laura explained how Charlotte was staying with her and Kevin but was missing. Valentin panicked that Peter had her. Suddenly, Charlotte ran into the room. She told her papa she was locked in a warehouse but was saved by Grandpa Victor who let her out. Anna eyed Victor suspiciously. Maxie arrived on Pier 55. Peter told Maxie she could either say goodbye to their daughter now or come with them when they left Port Charles and they’d be a family.

Thursday

Peter (Wes Ramsey) asked Maxie (Kristen Storms) whether she’d be joining him and Louise when they leave the country to start their new life. Finn (Michael Easton) and Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) arrive at Chase (Josh Swickward) and Brook Lynn’s (Amanda Setton) place. Finn wondered why Peter August would take Bailey…was it for ransom? “Bailey isn’t Bailey” Chase told a confused Finn and Elizabeth. Brook Lynn told them about the plan to pass Maxie’s baby off as her own to keep her out of her psycho father’s clutches. Brook Lynn admitted she was never pregnant and at first just wanted to stick it to Valentin. But when Finn told her about Valentin being found and appearing to be drunk . Elizabeth said they were awaiting a toxicology report. Brook Lynn left for GH to check on Valentin. Chase blamed himself for allowing Peter to get his hands on Louise. But Finn hugged him and told him he did good. Austin told Laura that Maxie wasn’t answering her phone. Laura gave him Spinelli’s number to help track Maxie down. Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) thanked Victor (Charles Shaughnessey) for coming through like a real father and being a hero by finding his daughter. “It was almost like you knew where to look,” Anna (Finola Hughes) said suspiciously. Victor vowed to make Peter August pay. Austin (Roger Howarth) explained to Laura (Genie Francis) about how Victor Cassadine used a sonogram to learn the truth about Louise. Peter told Maxie there wasn’t time so she hadn’t to make a decision whether she was with them. Maxie agreed to go saying away from Port Charles Peter could again become the man she fell in love with. But they had to leave Louise behind because a life where the law was always searching for her father and with them looking over their shoulder was no life for her. Maxie reminded Peter how he felt being raised by his father. She suggested they start over and perhaps they’d have another child. Valentin asked Victor what Peter’s plan was, insinuating Victor was working with Peter to get something Cassadine wanted. Peter told Maxie he knew where they needed to go. They arrived at a fire station. He said they could leave Louise there privately and a silent alarm would alert the fireman who would get the baby. Maxie’s delay made Peter question whether she had been lying about wanting to leave with him. Maxie gave her daughter up for the second time while Peter told Louise one day they’d be a family. Before taking Charlotte home, Laura whispered in Victor’s ear he’d suffer the same fate if she got evidence he helped Peter August. Austin received information from Spinelli that Maxie’s car was spotted and left GH. Brook Lynn came to see Valentin, who told her although he was hurt he’s glad she protected Bailey. Brook Lynn apologized for hurting him. Anna received a text and called Chase to ask whether he was up to an off the books operation. They arrived at the firestation. Anna told him about a baby being dropped off and wanted his help identifying whether it was Louise. When the firefighter brought out the infant, Chase confirmed it was Louise but was confused why Peter went through so much trouble just to leave the baby. Anna realized Maxie convinced him then found one of the earrings Maxie was wearing wrapped in the blanket as a clue. Austin arrived on Pier 55 and found a boat sailing off. He reported the kidnapping and said if the boat got into international waters it’d be too late. Meanwhile, Peter was driving and told Maxie they were going somewhere different as the police would more than likely be checking the borders to Canada. Maxie looked down at the other earring in her palm.

Friday

Valentine’s Day Part 1. At GH, Terry (Cassandra James) told Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) she got her first hit for her dating profile and had her first date tonight. After Terry walked away and Finn (Michael Easton) came up, Liz told him that Maxie (Kristen Storms) was missing and probably was taken by Peter (Wes Ramsey). At The Metro Court, Portia (Brooke Kerr) told Taggert how Trina (Sydney Mikayla) wasn’t acting like herself. He assured her they’d get their girl back on track. Sonny (Maurice Benard) came to Charlie’s with flowers for Phyllis (Joyce Guy) and asked how she was doing on her first Valentine’s Day without Lenny. Nina (Cynthia Watros) came over to Wyndemere. Ava (Maura West) commented something big must have happened if she forgot it was Valentine’s Day. At The Metro Court, Carly (Laura Wright) thought about when she confronted Sonny for sleeping with Nina. Nina told Ava there was more to the story of when Peter came to Nixon Falls. Nina also told Ava about sleeping with Sonny. Finn knew Elizabeth was worried about Maxie. Amy (Risa Dorken) and her brother Chad. Trina joined her parents at The Metro Court. Taggert tossed his daughter for the woman Trina’s become. But then he made a comment that reminded her she didn’t have a boyfriend on Valentine’s Day. Trina told them about Esme (Avery Kristen Pohl) and what happened at the cabin. After Trina walked away, Portia encouraged Taggert to get out and start dating. Sam (Kelly Monaco) arrived at The Metro Court in time to see Carly tearing up a heart shaped napkin. Carly told Sam she saw Sonny and Nina in bed. Sam urged Carly not to do something she’d regret. But Carly was planning a meeting with a lawyer. Sonny told Phyllis he and Carly are as far away as they’ve ever been. Phyllis told Sonny he and Carly will never be able to rebuild the trust between them if he continues keeping secrets from her. Ava urged Nina not to allow Sonny and Carly time to reconcile. Amy and Chad told Finn the hospital knew about his romance with Elizabeth. Portia had to cancel her date with Curtis (Donnell Turner) when she got called into work. Terry was getting ready for her date when Elizabeth entered with a clothes box of donations. Terry pulled out the dress Liz wore when she married Franco (Roger Howarth). It was cut and shredded. Since it was her wedding anniversary to Franco, Liz saw it as a bad omen. Terry wanted to cancel her date but Elizabeth wouldn’t hear of it. Later, she told Finn she wanted him to come over for dinner and a movie with her, the boys and Violet. Terry arrived at Charlie’s and sat at the bar. Chad came in and asked whether the seat next to her was taken. Noticing his teal shirt, Terry realized he was her date and smiled. Sonny saw the entry on his cellphone from the joint calendar they shared about Carly’s meeting with a lawyer. Just then, Nina entered Charlie’s. TO BE CONTINUED.
