A weekly column highlighting the Port Charles happenings during the past week on General Hospital. Read below to find out what you missed or to refresh your memory in time for next week.

Monday

Dex found photographer Felty and dragged him into a stairwell. Sonny (Maurice Benard) arrives and punches the man in the gut and issues a warning “People who offend me tend to disappear.” Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) planned an evening of romance for Anna (Finola Hughes) at The Metro Court Pool. Spencer (Nicolas Chavez) asked to join Nikolas (Marcus Coloma) and Ava (Maura West). At GH, Molly (Haley Puollos) told TJ (Taj Bellows) about the miscarriage of justice Trina’s (Tabyana Ali) trial is. She told him how she was deciding to recuse herself but the decision was taken out of her hands due to the deliberate workload she was given. Willow (Katelyn MacMuellen) and Michael (Chad Duell) told Drew (Cameron Mathison) she was pregnant. Carly (Laura Wright) told Willow she was glad she found Michael and they were expanding their family. Josslyn (Eden McCoy) recorded on her cellphone Dex hitting Felty and then threatened to give the video to the police so Sonny would be arrested. Sonny reminded Josslyn she’d only be hurting Avery and Donna. He added Josslyn knew the difference then walked away. Dex urged Josslyn not to go to the police and told her about Felty giving Brando’s (Johnny Wactor) Sasha (Sofia Mattsson) drugs and they just wanted to scare the man. Josslyn asked Dex if he had stopped Sonny from killing Felty. Dex admitted he was glad he didn’t have to because he wasn’t sure. Esme (Avery Kristen Pohl) hid when Curtis (Donnell Turner) knocked on Oz’s door and knocked it open. He found Oz semi-conscious on the couch and asked him what he took. Oz said he didn’t know ‘she gave him something.’ Curtis called 911 for an ambulance. Esme made a hasty exit. Spencer told Ava he wanted to know what happened at Trina’s trial because he cared about her. Nikolas received a text from Esme asking to see him. He lied he had a Cassadine industry call he had to take and met her outside. Esme pretended she felt guilty about keeping secret that they slept together and added if she had her internship back at Spring Ridge, she’d feel more focused. Nikolas asked Esme to give him until tomorrow and he’d get her back into Spring Ridge. Oz was taken to GH where TJ worked on him. He left the ER and told Curtis and Molly that Oz had to be put into a medically induced coma because his brain was swelling. Curtis told them how he found Oz and was the one who called for an ambulance. He told them Oz said a woman drugged him and it was a sure bet it was Esme Prince. Anna confronted Valentin about where he was from the time he left the clinic until his return to Port Charles. She worried about his relationship with Victor (Charles Shaughnessey). Valentin told Anna how Victor arranged for Charlotte to go to boarding school. He told her he had enemies on both sides of the law and had to pretend to trust his father to keep Charlotte safe. Anna said they were no longer the people they were and reminded Victor he didn’t need to keep secrets from her. Deciding not to make Dex collateral damage in her desire for payback against Sonny, Josslyn deleted the video. Meanwhile, Sonny came to see Carly to ask her to talk with Josslyn, saying her daughter was out of control. He told her about the video and asked her to convince Josslyn to get rid of it. Carly said Josslyn was an adult and had to make the best decision for herself. Sonny hinted that Carly had more than The Metro Court to lose.

Tuesday

Carly (Laura Wright) asked Josslyn (Eden McCoy) about her run in with Sonny (Maurice Bernard) yesterday. At The Metro Court, Aaron refused to run an errand for Nina (Cynthia Watros) saying he’d take his orders from Mrs. Quartermaine. Sonny appeared and reminded the guy to respect his boss. At GH, Jordan (Tanisha Harper) interrupted Portia (Brooke Kerr) and Curtis (Donnell Turner). At Wyndemere, Spencer (Nicholas Chavez) cornered Esme (Avery Kristen Pohl) and told her time was up. Ava (Maura West) opened the envelope containing their divorce papers and said it was their future. Rory (Michael Kruse) apologized to Trina (Tabyana Ali) if his testimony hurt her. Esme told Spencer she didn’t know if helping Trina was something she was willing to do because she stole him from her. Josslyn explained the circumstances involving her taking the video. She told her mother they’ve enabled Sonny for years by looking the other way. Jordan questioned Curtis about finding Oz Haggerty. He explained how Oz was the bartender who sold Esme Prince the black market cell phone. If Esme did drug Haggerty, that was attempted murder. Jordan left for Wyndemere. Ava was surprised when Nikolas changed his mind about signing the divorce papers. After she left for court, Nikolas told Esme he got her internship at Spring Ridge reinstated. Although Sonny’s words convinced Aaron to apologize, Nina told Sonny she didn’t know protecting. She told him she needed to know she had his support. The ADA pulled Rory aside and reminded him how it would look and asked whether he was prepared to face the consequences of his actions. Nikolas and Spencer vowed not to do anything more to hurt each other. Then, Spencer left for the courthouse. Portia called Taggert to tell him she couldn’t make it for Trina’s trial because she had a patient that needed life saving surgery. Esme called GH for an update on Oz’s condition. Carly couldn’t stay for the trial because she had to check on Donna who fell on the playground. Spencer entered the courtroom and faced Trina’s angry look. Jordan arrived at Wyndemere. She told Nikolas she was there officially to ask him questions about his visitor. Esme called Spring Ridge and said although her privileges were recently reinstated, she was on the list of people who could see Ryan Chamberlain (Jon Lindstrom) and she needed to see him today.

Wednesday

Jordan (Tanisha Harper) asked Nikolas (Marcus Coloma) whether Esme (Avery Kristen Pohl) would know anyone who deals in blackmarket cell phones. Esme saw Ryan (Jon Lindstrom) and told her father how Kevin (also Lindstrom) arranged for her internship to end. She said she sacrificed everything for him. Trina (Tabyana Ali) walked over when Spencer (Nicholas Chavez) asked why he was there. “I’m here for you” he answered. Trina reminded he was a witness for the prosecution. Spencer told her he intended to tell the truth. Trina asked sarcastically whether his truth was the gospel according to Esme. The prosecutor asked Ms. Robinson to take a seat then questions Spencer about the whereabouts of Esme Prince. Jordan told Nikolas about Oz Haggerty’s visit to Wyndemere 10:30 yesterday morning. Nikolas said he couldn’t be of any help because he wasn’t home much yesterday. “Who was?” Jordan asked. Esme told Ryan how she convinced Nikolas to help her get her internship back. She also told him how Felicia (Kristina Wagner) ratted her out to Kevin. The prosecutor told Spencer she needed Esme Prince there. Cody (Josh Kelly) approached Britt (Kelly Thiebauld) and Maxie (Kristen Storms) at The Metro Court Pool and attempted to apologize for their disastrous date. But Britt was done with him and society setups and left for GH. Cody showed Maxie the corny passport note he wrote for Britt and asked her to give it to her. Jordan told Nikolas about Oz being in a medically induced coma preventing him from giving testimony. After Jordan left, Nikolas thought about his many conversations with Esme and realized she did make the video. He was in a rush to get to Ava (Maura West) at the courthouse. Victor (Charles Shaughnessey) entered and was annoyed when he learned his nephew had slept with Esme. He told Nikolas it was time to evict Ms. Prince permanently. Esme told Ryan how Spencer offered to tell her who her mother was in exchange for helping to free Trina. Esme said the only way she wouldn’t consider taking Spence up on his deal would be for Ryan to reveal her mother’s name. Ryan insisted he never knew the woman’s name and tried to look for her. Spencer testified about the events at the cabin. He mentioned how Esme was alone at the cabin. But also was forced to say he couldn’t swear that Trina stayed in her room. The judge called a recess and Diane (Carolyn Henessey) would cross-examine upon their return. Diane assured Trina once they got Esme on the stand all bets were off. Jordan arrived at GH and asked Britt about Oz’s condition. Britt answered Jordan’s questions hypothetically. Jordan assured she’d assess the information Dr. Westbourne gave her about who came to her asking about the type of drug and if it couldn’t help Trina’s case, it would go no further. Esme threatened to give the authorities information about Ryan if the truth came out about the video and she had to make a deal. Ryan got out of the wheelchair and walked towards her. Then, Ryan hugged his daughter and told her she was the most important thing to him because he loved her mother and they loved their beautiful child. The prosecutor called Esme and threatened to hold her in contempt if she didn’t get to the courthouse in ten minutes. Before she left, Ryan told her once he got out of there they’d look for her mother together. Ava commented how Spencer could have given Esme an ironclad alibi. “Who’s side are you on?” Ava asked her step son.

Thursday

Mac (John J. York) told Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) he was thinking of making him Chief of Detectives. At GH, Sasha (Sofia Mattsson) told Brando (Johnny Wactor) he didn’t have to stay while she had her appointment. TJ (Taj Bellows) examined Feldy and told the photographer he didn’t have a concussion. Josslyn (Eden McCoy) assured Trina (Tabyana Ali) that Diane (Carolyn Henessey) would tear Esme (Avery Kristen Pohl) apart on the stand. “Where are you Esme?” Spencer (Nicholas Chavez) wondered as he sent another test. ADA Arden told her she was cutting it close when Esme arrived at the courthouse. She walked away to respond to a text. Ava (Maura West) approached Esme, who hinted she could rock her world with information she had. Ava urged her to bring it on. Esme hinted Ava didn’t know her husband was keeping secrets from her. Nikolas (Marcus Coloma) rushed up and pleaded “Esme, don’t do this.” “This ends today” Esme smirked then walked into the courtroom. Nikolas took Ava into an empty room and confessed “I slept with Esme.” Ava was shocked and angry as she realized it happened when the door was locked and he said he’d fallen asleep. She accused them of laughing at her behind her back when Ava learned Esme was hiding on the terret. At Volonino’s Gym, Dex told Sonny (Maurice Benard) if he ever needed him for anything. Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) and Michael (Chad Duell) came up to Sasha and Brando. Sasha told Willow she knew she was pregnant. After Brando and Michael left, Smoltz (David Lautman) interrupted them and commented that it’s interesting Willow could talk with the woman responsible for Harmony Miller’s (Inga Candranel) fatal accident. Sam (Kelly Monaco) arrived and Mac left. She mistakenly thought Dante was about to propose when he was actually picking up her cell phone which she dropped. ADA Arden questioned Esme about the events at the cabin. On cross examination, Diane asked Esme whether she wanted revenge because Trina, Josslyn and Cameron (William Lipton) didn’t want to be friends with her. Ava told Nikolas he’d never touch her again. She said she thought she married a man but instead married a spineless coward who slept with his son’s girlfriend…a girl young enough to be his daughter. Ava told Nikolas it was over between them. Michael met with Dex in a stairwell at GH. He told him how Jason (Steve Burton) started with Sonny’s organization and urged him to follow. Brando caught Dex and Michael in the stairwell. Smoltz visited Feldy in his hospital room at GH. Feldy told Smoltz he had a scoop for him: Face of Deception was high on drugs at the time she hit Harmony Miller. Trina wanted to tell her version in order to prove her innocence. Spencer told Diane he could help Trina. When he took the stand, Spencer announced he had proof Trina couldn’t have sent that video. Esme rushed to get out of Wyndemere. But she was stopped when Ava returned home…ready for a confrontation.

Friday

At Volonino’s Gym, Brick (Stephen A. Smith) and Sonny (Maurice Benard) discussed Dex. “What are you doing here?” Brando asked when he saw Dex in the GH stairwell with Michael (Chad Duell), who pretended he was confronting Dex for following him. After Dex left, Brando offered to tell Sonny that Dex was harassing him. Michael told him he didn’t want Sonny involved. Willow (Katelyn MacMuellen) thought about when TJ (Taj Bellows) told her that her blood pressure was elevated. Then she saw TJ who needed to draw more blood. Ava (Maura West) stopped Esme (Avery Kristen Pohl) from leaving and said she was going to make sure she got what she deserved. Esme taunted Ava how Nikolas (Marcus Coloma) came to her after being treated badly by his shrew of a wife. Ava commented how Esme’s actions seemed personal so there must be more to the story. Spencer (Nicholas Chavez) was sworn in and testified he knew Trina (Tabyana Ali) couldn’t have sent the video because she was with him at the time it was sent. “What’s going on here?” Portia asked when she entered. Dex came to Volonino’s Gym where Sonny introduced him to Brick. He reported Feldy was taking care of and he made himself scarce when a cop showed up to question the photographer. Brick looked on suspiciously while Dex spoke. Esme told Ava boarding school taught her the best defense was a good offense. Spencer told the court how Trina was with him the day the video was taken and explained how he obtained an off the books day pass. Spencer admitted how he escaped prison because he couldn’t be at Spring Ridge on the anniversary of his mother’s death. After being in boarding school for so many years, he couldn’t bear being in Port Charles and not visiting his mother’s grave. He thought he was alone, but Trina caught him. Spencer added that neither Cameron (William Lipton), Josslyn (Eden McCoy) nor he sent the video. Nor any neighbor or servant at the cabin. The only person who could have sent it was his girl Esme Prince. ADA Arden sent a scheduled text to Diane and the judge to poke a hole in Spencer’s alibi for Trina. Sasha told Brando after talking with Willow she didn’t think she needed to go for her therapy session today. As a former addict, Brando reminded his wife how the need for drugs is hard to fight alone and without professional help. Sasha accused Brando and everyone of smothering her. She walked off and later answered Sienna’s text about meeting to blow off some steam. Dex talked to Michael about meeting Brick who probably would do a background check on him. Brick did tell Sonny he wanted to perform a background check on Dex. Sonny planned to give Dex a trial by fire test. The judge told Spencer he could step down as he called another recess. Trina told him she couldn’t believe he did that. Spencer was just sorry it didn’t help. Nikolas told his son he needed to speak with him. Ava warned Esme if she didn’t exonerate Trina by confessing to sending the video, she’d make sure she disappeared for good.
