A weekly column highlighting the Port Charles happenings during the past week on General Hospital. Read below to find out what you missed or to refresh your memory in time for next week.

Monday

At The Metro Court Pool, two women were making flirtatious remarks about Mac (John J. York) when he got out of the water. Felicia (Kristina Wagner) let them know Mac was hers then planted a kiss on her husband. Outside Kelly’s, Sam (Kelly Monaco) overheard Michael (Chad Duell) on the phone telling someone to get done what they discussed. The judge called a recess. Taggert assured Trina (Tabyana Ali) that Spencer’s (Nicolas Chavez) testimony at least created reasonable doubt. Spencer told Nikolas (Marcus Coloma) he needed to get back inside the courtroom for Trina. Ava (Maura West) warned Esme (Avery Kristen Pohl) unless she exonerated Trina, it would be the end of the line for Esme Prince because she’d make sure she’d disappear permanently. Mac was amused when Felicia told him about the women’s comments. TJ (Taj Bellows) asked Willow (Katelyn MacMuellen) why she didn’t want to tell Michael about her elevated blood pressure. Diane (Carolyn Henessey) commented how it didn’t help Spencer bribed a government official at Spring Ridge…it was up to Trina to convince the jury of her innocence. Spencer told Nikolas how he was pretending he believed Esme didn’t send the video to get her to let her guard down and possibly slip up. Ava told Esme she loved Trina like a daughter and would risk her own life to keep her out of prison for something she didn’t do. When she taunted Ava about not being a mother to her own daughter, Ava slapped Esme hard across the face drawing blood. Esme dropped her letter and Ava picked it up. Portia was angry and upset and Trina kept saying she had an abili from them. Diane told Trina when she put her on the stand, her questioning would be a little more personal than originally planned. Nikolas asked Spencer why he kept his suspicions about Esme secret. Michael told Sam he and Willow were expecting. TJ had an oncology consult. Dr. Singh told him his diagnosis was correct. Finn (Michael Easton) told Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) he loved her. As Ava started to open her letter, Esme knocked her to the floor and they struggled for the envelope. Nikolas received a call about the disturbance at Wyndemere. Ava and Esme fought for the letter. Diane called Trina to the stand and asked her why she put Spencer Cassadine’s freedom above her own by keeping secret he could give her an alibi. Diane said the only reason she could come up with was love. Spencer smiled when Trina admitted she loved him. Mac and Felicia discussed their next career paths: Mac missed running The Floating Rib. He suggested Felicia help lighten Sam’s PI case load. Michael asked Sam about her relationship with Dante (Dominic Zamprogna). TJ asked Elizabeth to go to the lab and get another copy of the patient’s blood work. Dr. Singh told TJ once he shared the blood work results with Dr. Randolph (Cassandra James), they’d discuss options. Willow came out of the exam room and saw their intense conversation. She later asked TJ whether he thought she had cancer. He said he thought she had leukemia. While walking down the stairwell, Elizabeth remembered when she found Peter (Wes Ramsey) there and thought he was dead. Sam told Michael she got advice from a veteran PI for a case she was working on. Felicia was considering Mac’s suggestion about working with Sam. Nikolas arrived home just in time to witness Esme falling off the parapet after her fight with Ava.

Tuesday

“Did you push Esme?” Nikolas (Marcus Coloma) asked Ava (Maura West) as he watched Esme (Avery Kristen Pohl) fall off the parapet. Willow (Katelyn MacMuellen) thought about when TJ (Taj Bellows) told her he believed she had leukemia. Curtis (Donnell Turner) swiped a file from the nurse’s station. He took a photo of the contents. When he turned around, he saw Jordan (Tanisha Harper) standing there. Trina (Tabyana Ali) testified she fell in love with Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) last December but no longer loved him. She added she thought Spencer viewed her as a friend and they never acted on any possible feelings. While walking down the stairwell, Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) remembered when she found Peter (Wes Ramsey) there and thought he was dead. We heard a little girl’s voice saying “Daddy.” Finn (Michael Easton) appeared on the stairwell and walked to her. Trina vowed she’d never do anything to hurt her friends Cam (William Lipton) and Joss (Eden McCoy). Nikolas told Ava to go to the master bedroom…because if anyone knew she was there they’d think she pushed Esme. “Do I want to know?” Jordan asked about what she caught Curtis doing. “Probably not,” Curtis answered. They talked about getting proof Esme was in the room with Oz. Michael (Chad Duell) left a voicemail for Willow when he returned to the examining room and she wasn’t there. Terry (Cassandra James) and Britt (Kelly Thiebauld) entered the room where Willow was waiting. Terry explained she’d like to schedule a bone marrow biopsy to determine whether Willow had leukemia. Dr. Randolph told Willow it was a thirty minute outpatient procedure requiring a minor sedative. Willow wanted to have the procedure done today and told Terry she wouldn’t need a sedative. Michael ran into TJ and asked about Willow’s test results. In an OR, Willow suffered through the pain to have the bone marrow biopsy. Afterwards, Britt praised her bravery. When Jordan told him how Spencer Cassadine asked Dr. Westbourne about the same drug found in Oz’s system, Curtis knew Esme had given both Oz and Trina the optoid. Nikolas returned to the master bedroom and told Ava he didn’t find Esme, only one of her shoes. Ava knew if Esme survived, she’d been implicated because her DNA was all over the girl from their fight. They got their story together; they’d tell everyone (including Spencer) that Esme left and no one knew where she was going. On cross examination, ADA Arden made it look as if Trina’s accusation against Esme Prince was wishful thinking. Diane redirected and presented a case of the animosity between Esme and Josslyn, adding Esme vowed Josslyn would regret how she treated her. On closing arguments, ADA Arden told the jury the evidence spoke of the defendant Trina Robinson’s guilt while Diane’s statement painted Trina as the victim framed by the real guilty party Esme Prince. Trina commented her fate was now in the hands of the jury. Jordan arrived in the courtroom and arrested Spencer. Nikolas told Ava only the two of them would ever know what happened with Esme on the parapet.

Wednesday

Sasha (Sofia Mattsson) came to The Metro Court Gardens where new co-owner Nina (Cynthia Watros) showed her to her table. Brando (Johnny Wactor) tracking Sasha down would be the worst thing. Rory (Michael Kruse) and Trina (Tabyana Ali) arrived at The Metro Court Pool. Trina wondered why Spencer (Nicholas Chavez) gave her an alibi when he knew he could go back to prison. At the PCPD, Jordan (Tanisha Harper) asked Spencer why he admitted under oath to escaping from Spring Ridge when he knew he’d be arrested. Josslyn (Eden McCoy) came to Kelly’s and told Cameron (William Lipon) about Spencer testifying for Trina. When Cameron didn’t seem too surprised about Spencer finally stepping up, Josslyn realized he knew Spencer was playing Esme (Avery Kristen Pohl) to get her to slip up. She confronted Cameron for lying to her for months, reminding she is his girlfriend and he shouldn’t have kept secrets from her. Cameron said he wanted to tell her but there was so much at stake as Esme would have left town if she knew Spencer suspected her. At Wyndemere, Nikolas (Marcus Coloma) told Ava he straightened the room so there’s no evidence of her fight with Esme. He also planted the seeds of their story by asking the servants whether Esme left yet. He tried to convince Ava they were in this together. But she wanted nothing to do with him after his betrayal. She told him this wasn’t her first rodeo and she could handle it alone. Nikolas received a call from Spencer who told him he’d been arrested and asked for his father’s help. After hanging up the phone, Nikolas told Ava about Spencer’s arrest after he testified for Trina. He asked her not to do anything rash until he got back from the PCPD. But Ava said she may not be there when he got back. Smoltz offered Sienna five hundred dollars if she got Sasha to admit she was high at the time she hit Harmony. Sienna agreed but reminded she wanted her name kept out of it. Smoltz assured he protects his sources. Brando asked Sonny whether he could spare one of his men to keep an eye on Sasha without her knowing it. But Sonny didn’t feel comfortable spying on Sasha without her knowledge. Josslyn admitted to Cameron she might have done the same thing if she were in his place but added she wished he’d come to her and told her so they could figure it out together. Sienna arrived at The Metro Court Gardens. Nina got up from the table to let Sasha and Sienna enjoy their evening. Sienna started asking Sasha questions about Harmony’s accident, pretending her interest was because she was a real crime buff. But Sasha was suspicious and left without revealing anything, much to Smoltz’s chagrin since he was listening in on their conversation. Nikolas came to the PCPD with Martin (Michael E. Knight) to represent Spencer. He visited his son in the interrogation room. Spencer asked his father to do him a favor and make sure Esme didn’t leave town because she was the only one who could help Trina. At The Metro Court Pool, Trina told Rory she decided to prepare for the worst as far as her trial was concerned. Ava came to see Sonny and asked for his help for Trina. Since his arraignment would be in the morning, Spencer had to stay in a holding cell overnight. Brando came to The Metro Court Gardens and asked Nina where Sasha was because he couldn’t find his wife. Sasha caught Sienna in a car with Smoltz and realized she was trying to set her up.

Thursday

“Cam lied to me and I hate it” Josslyn (Eden McCoy) told her mother when Carly (Laura Wright) arrived at Kelly’s and suggested her daughter join her for a milkshake. Dex arrived at Sonny’s (Maurice Benard) office and asked whether he had a job for him. At GH, Portia (Brooke Kerr) commented on what looked like a serious conversation between TJ (Taj Bellows) and Curtis (Donnell Turner), who asked about Trina’s (Tayana Ali) trial. Portia answered it was one surprise after the other. Sasha confronted Sienna about trying to set her up. At the PCPD, Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) told Jordan (Tanisha Harper) he’d hoped to be considered for other opportunities. Sasha grabbed a parking sign and proceeded to smash the windshield of Smoltz’s car. Sonny told Dex he wanted him to find a guy named Beckett Reed. Josslyn told Carly about Spencer only pretending he believed Esme (Avery Kristen Pohl), adding she sensed something was different between her and Cameron. “And now I know why.” Dante told Jordan how he needed to take assignments closer to home in order not to uproot Rocco. Jordan talked about the difficult patch she and TJ went through due to her undercover work. Portia told TJ and Curtis how Diane (Carolyn Henessey) called Spencer as a witness for the defense and he provided Trina with an alibi. Portia can’t wrap her mind on Trina keeping this secret for months. Curtis told her about trying to get proof to connect Esme to Oz Haggerty. Brando arrived at The Metro Court parking garage and took the sign out of his wife’s hands. Sasha broke down in his arms. Portia worried about jury deliberations in Trina’s trial beginning tomorrow. Josslyn called Spencer’s actions going rogue to prove Esme’s guilt childish. Jordan learned of the disturbance involving Sasha and sent Dante to investigate. Sonny told Dex that Beckett Reed holds the key to ensuring a not guilty verdict for Trina and it was up to Dex to convince the man of what he had to lose if he didn’t cooperate with them. Portia wouldn’t agree to Oz being given something to wake him up from his medically induced coma saying that was the very definition of unethical. “What choice do we have?” Curtis asked. When Dante arrived at The Metro Court parking garage, he found Sasha in bad shape and Smoltz insisting on pressing charges. Dante told Brando he had no choice but to take Sasha in. At the PCPD, Dante put Sasha in the interrogation room. She weakly said she just couldn’t take it anymore and was tired. Brando pleaded with Dante and Jordan to let him take Sasha home because she wouldn’t survive the night in a cell. He called Sonny but wouldn’t let him come to the PCPD. Dex approached Beckett Reed outside Kelly’s and said they needed to talk about the Trina Robinson trial. After Carly told her not to focus her energy on Sonny, Josslyn went outside and saw Dex talking with Beckett, who she recognized as a juror in Trina’s trial. When the man walked away, Josslyn confronted Dex. Portia asked TJ to promise not to risk his medical career. After TJ left the room, Curtis realized Portia didn’t want another doctor risking his career to help her daughter because she intended to do so herself. Sasha was booked. Dex returned to Sonny and told him what happened with Beckett Reed then he called someone (probably Michael) saying they needed to meet. Brando promised to get Sasha out of jail as soon as he could. Portia wanted to take the risk alone telling Curtis as a parent it was her responsibility to make sure Trina was safe and happy. But Curtis said they were in this together because she and Trina were his family.

Friday

Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) found Chase (Josh Swickward) in the water at The Metro Court Pool. Chase asked about his chances of re-joining the force. Dante said unfortunately the news wasn’t good. At Deception, Lucy (Lynn Herring) met with Maxie (Kristen Storms) and Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton). Lucy was concerned about Deception’s image while Maxie worried about how they’d help their friend. Gladys (Bonnie Burroughs) arrived at the PCPD and asked Brando (Johnny Wactor) how he and Sasha (Sofia Mattsson were holding up. Britt (Kelly Thiebauld) told Cody (Josh Kelly) she didn’t like him. Cody accused Britt of setting up ridiculously high standards that no one could possibly meet and punished them when they didn’t. Sam (Kelly Monaco) commented on Spinelli’s (Bradford Anderson) interest in Cody and Britt’s conversation. Alexis (Nancy Grahan) and Gregory (Gregory Harrison) discussed their bet about him doing an editorial for The Invader. Linc interrupted Chase and Dante’s conversation and said Chase had other career options. After Dante left, Linc told Chase he already booked him a gig at The Savoy. “What has Brook Lynn done for you lately?” Maxie and Brook Lynn composed a press release addressing Sasha’s arrest stating their commitment to mental health and their Deception family. When Brook Lynn left to bring the copy to marketing, Lucy told Maxie they’d have to make some hard professional decisions to protect Deception and Maxie wouldn’t like them. Lucy suggested Sasha take a bring from Deception. Maxie didn’t want to push Sasha out and told Lucy as head of the company, she’d have to tell Sasha herself. Gladys brought a change of wardrobe for Sasha and helped her daughter-in-law change. Sasha told Gladys about Sienna trying to set her up for Smoltz. Gladys said she’d come to love her and was proud to call her daughter-in-law and was there to help her. Martin (Michael E. Knight) told Brando he wasn’t certain he could get Sasha off because of her recent history of trouble. Plus, Sasha wasn’t taking interest in her own defense. He said the only way for her to avoid prison time would be to appoint someone to serve as a guardian to look after Sasha’s personal well being and finances. Martin thought with the guardianship route, he could cut a deal with the DA. Gregory thought The Invader should report Sasha’s attack on Smoltz since it involved a violation of the freedom of the press. Alexis reminded Gregory that The Invader would have to present Sasha’s struggles and mental state in order to write an accurate article. Alexis took out a pad of paper to take notes when Gregory said there was a way to get around having Sasha’s medical information for the article. Martin told Sasha the officer would take her to the courthouse for her arraignment and he’d meet her there. Cody gave Britt the passport designed card and asked for a do-over date. Britt agreed, but said she’d pick the time and place. When Maxie found out about the second date, she was glad Britt was giving Cody a second chance. But Spinelli warned Britt not to have another date with Cody. Brook Lynn suggested Chase collaborate with her as the songwriter in order to make better residuals. While Brook Lynn was talking with Dante, Linc told Chase although he was convincing, he knew Brook Lynn so he knew she was up to something.
