A weekly column highlighting the Port Charles happenings during the past week on General Hospital. Read below to find out what you missed or to refresh your memory in time for next week.

Monday

At GH, Jordan (Tanisha Harper) watched while Marshall (Robert Gossett) told Curtis (Donnell Turner) and Portia (Brooke Kerr) today was the day they found out whether he passed on the gene for schizophrenia to Curtis and generations to come. Finn (Michael Easton) attended his second Addict’s Anonymous meeting within 24 hours. Carly (Laura Wright) barged into Elizabeth’s (Rebecca Herbst) house and told her to make time. Dex (Evan Hofer) got out of bed and went to stand by the window when Josslyn’s (Eden McCoy) RA knocked on her. Josslyn returned to see the RA put the key in the door. Esme (Avery Kristen Pohl) woke up to find the windows boarded up. Nikolas (Temporarily being placed by Adam Huss) told Esme he was making sure she wouldn’t try to escape again. He told her she left silverware privileges and had to eat with plastic utensils. Trina (Tabyana Ali) told Spencer (Nicolas Chavez) she came there to see whether they could salvage what was left between them. Carly asked Elizabeth about spotting Esme and whether Cameron (William Lipton) knew and said she was on her way to tell Josslyn. The RA told Josslyn she was checking her room because of a report of bed bugs. Josslyn assured she didn’t have bed bugs. The RA walked away and Adam (Joshua Benard) appeared. Josslyn accused him of ratting her out to the RA. He asked whether she had something to hide when a noise came from her room. She lied she was keeping a stray cat she found until she could find it a home. Adam promised not to tell anyone. Then, he asked her to put in a good word for him with Trina. Spencer told Trina he always believed in her innocence. Trina said she understood Spencer’s motives but wished she knew he supported her. Jordan and Portia went to Dr. Robinson’s office and told her Esme was spotted. She also asked what Portia decided about telling Curtis that Trina could be his daughter. Portia asked whether Jordan would if she didn’t but Jordan said she wouldn’t. Curtis and Marshall entered and Jordan left. Because the genetic counselor was delayed, Portia read the results and announced Curtis didn’t have any of the markers for schizophrenia. Ava (Maura West) came to Wyndemere and told Nikolas that Victor (Charles Shaugnessey) told her Esme was alive, adding they had to find her before the police did. Nikolas told Ava he wouldn’t let Esme hurt anyone he cared about. When Carly noticed Elizabeth with a box of old photos, Liz told her she was decluttering and planned to burn the pictures of her parents because they weren’t close. Carly urged her to reconsider commenting she wished she had pictures of herself when she was younger with Bobbie (Jackie Zeman). After Carly left, she pulled out a photo of Jeff and Carloyn Webber that she took when Elizabeth wasn’t looking. Josslyn helped Dex get off the floor and onto the bed and gave him some water. Trina told Spencer he never admitted how he felt about her. Spencer pulled back from making any declaration of his feelings when he learned Trina had gone to a comic book convention in New York with Rory (Michael Kruse). Portia told Jordan that Curtis didn’t have any of the markers for schizophrenia. Alexis (Nancy Grahan) called Gregory (Gregory Harrison) about putting their plan into motion when it was obvious Jordan had no intention of sticking to their bargain by giving her an exclusive interview regarding the hook killer. Josslyn left her dorm room just as Carly arrived. Esme tried to get one of Nikolas’ men to help her. But he told her Mr. Cassadine took good care of him and would do the same for her. Dr. Jeff Webber (William R. Moses) arrived at GH looking for Elizabeth and came face-to-face with Finn. Nikolas opened the door and found Elizabeth standing on the other side.

Tuesday

At The Metro Court, Sonny (Maurice Benard) started to introduce Brick (Stephen A. Smith) to Nina (Cynthia Watros). “The woman who stole your heart,” Brick said. Leo asked Drew (Cameron Mathison) whether he was mad with him like he and Michael (Chad Duell) were with his father. Michael told Willow (Katelyn MacMuellen) he planned to organize a bone marrow drive and would ensure she lived a long and healthy life. Josslyn (Eden McCoy) pulled Carly (Laura Wright) into her dorm room for help. Esme (Avery Kristen Pohl) told her baby who she calls Ace they needed advice from its grandfather. Jeff (William R. Moses) came to GH looking for Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) but ran into Finn (Michael Easton), who said he didn’t know him but slept with his wife. “Would you have just left me laying there on the pier if you thought I was badly hurt?” Elizabeth asked Nikolas (Temporarily being played by Adam Huss). Carly knew Dex (Evan Hofer) got shot working for Sonny. Brick commented Sonny looked happy with Nina which probably isn’t going over well with Michael. Willow commented how she wanted to keep her diagnosis a secret a little longer so people wouldn’t see a woman with cancer. Jeff suggested he and Finn go somewhere private to talk. But Finn decked him and said “I have nothing to say to you.” Nikolas lied he went to look for Esme but she got away. Elizabeth didn’t believe him. “Where is Esme?” she demanded. Esme talked to baby Ace and said instead of trying to figure out how to get out, she should be asking himself “What would your grandfather do?” Drew told Leo family argue sometimes. Michael made Willow a cauliflower smoothie. Carly told Dex his gunshot wound was infected. She told Josslyn she would handle getting antibiotics. Sonny told Brick that Dex has proven himself. Jeff came to Finn’s office and said he needed to know Lizzie was okay. “Now you care?” Finn asked sarcastically. Nikolas was forced to admit to her that Esme was at Wyndemere. Liz demanded to see her. Esme was surprised to see Elizabeth when she entered the room. “You’re pregnant?” she asked, shocked. “You gotta help me…Nikolas is trying to kill me and my baby” Esme begged. Willow suggested Michael check the commune to search for a biological relative. Brick received a call from Carly who said she had a big favor. Nina told Sonny about her altercation with Willow and Michael. Nikolas told Elizabeth he was keeping Esme there because she’s been attacking people with a hook. Drew brought Leo over to see Michael to see he wasn’t angry with him. Drew told Michael maybe it was time to make things right with Ned (Wally Kurth). Carly told Josslyn she was meeting Brick to get the meds. Elizabeth and Nikolas returned downstairs. Liz asked whether Spencer (Nicholas Chavez) knew Esme was pregnant with his child. She was disgusted when she knew Nicholas slept with his son’s girlfriend. She left when she got a message. Esme told Ace she had to convince Nikolas that if he didn’t treat her better “It’s bye bye baby.” When he learned Willow was looking for her birth parents, Drew thought about when Carly told him Harmony said Nina was Willow’s birth mother and then the DNA test proved she wasn’t. Josslyn told Dex her mother took her chances now it’s her turn. Dex offered to find information about Willow’s birth parents for her. Right after Jeff questioned Finn’s relationship with Elizabeth because he wasn’t in Monterrey with her when she needed him, Liz entered the office. A fever stricken Dex called Josslyn an angel. She said he wouldn’t remember it…but she would. Sonny sent Dex a reply to his email about laying low. But Dex didn’t get it because Leo found his phone on the Quartermaine grounds.Carly thanked Brick for helping her and told him she was Carly Spencer now. Nina was curious why Carly was meeting Brick in a hotel room.

Wednesday

Nina (Cynthia Watros) saw Carly (Laura Wright) go into Brick’s (Stephen A. Smith) room and commented she wondered what Drew (Cameron Mathison) would think about that. Drew offered to find Willow’s (Katelyn MacMuellen) biological parents. Willow wasn’t sure if investigating those on the commune would help since they often changed their names. Leo gave Michael (Chad Duell) the cellphone he asked whether he could keep it. Michael said they had to charge it to see who it belonged to so they could return it. Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) asked her father what he was doing in Port Charles. Before Finn (Michael Easton) was paged and had to leave, Jeff (William R. Moses) said he was sorry about Reiko. Jeff told Elizabeth she’s a parent now and knows what it’s like to love each of your kids in different ways. He added Finn seemed like a good man and hoped he hadn’t ruined things between them. Nikolas (Temporarily being played by Adam Huss) ordered Esme (Avery Kristen Storms) to pack her things because they were going somewhere she’d never be found. Esme suddenly doubled over in pain. Nikolas accused her of faking. She warned he was about to learn what it felt like to lose a child. Josslyn (Eden McCoy) told Dex (Evan Hofer) he had a fever. Josslyn asked Dex why he was willing to risk everything he had to work for Sonny (Maurice Benard). Nina returned to the dining room and told Sonny about seeing Carly going into Brick’s room. She asked whether he cared because Carly was his ex-wife. Nikolas left a voicemail and called Elizabeth. After Jeff left, Finn returned. He told Elizabeth confronting her father was a good thing. Elizabeth finally took Nikolas’ call and told Finn she had to leave but didn’t tell him why. Carly returned to Josslyn’s dorm room with the antibiotics. Josslyn gave the medicine to Dex. Carly assured the antibiotics were strong so Dex’s fever should break soon. She asked her daughter why she was risking so much for someone she didn’t know that well. Carly commented how it was like looking in a mirror with the similarities between them. Once the cellphone was charged, Michael saw the email from Sonny. He took out his own phone and rang Dex’s number and wondered why Dex’s phone was found on the Quartermaine estate. Brick assured Sonny he had his loyalty but didn’t break Carly’s confidence. Elizabeth arrived at Wyndemere and Nikolas asked her to examine Esme to make sure the baby was okay. But when they entered the room, they found Esme lying on the floor passed out.

Thursday

Sonny (Maurice Benard) came to Sasha (Sofia Mattsson) and Gladys’ (Bonnie Burroughs) table at The Metro Court dining room. Sasha thanked him for the flowers he sent her today on what would have been Liam’s first birthday. Since Brando (Johnny Wactor) was no longer there, Sonny wanted to say something “Liam Mike Corbin will always be in our hearts.” Brad (Parry Shen) met Britt (Kelly Thiebauld) at The Metro Court bar. She told him tonight they were going to raise hell. Robert (Tristan Rogers) took Holly (Emma Samms) to The Bistro and talked about betrayal. Laura (Genie Francis) spoke with Martin (Michael E. Knight) on the phone and told him she was coming over with soup because she didn’t want him mourning alone. Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) was surprised when he found Sam sitting at his desk at the PCPD. Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) told Nikolas (Temporarily being played by Adam Huss) that unless they got Esme (Avery Kristen Pohl) to a hospital she could suffer a miscarriage. Gladys told Sonny about the decision she made for Deception as Sasha’s guardian. Selina (Lydia Look) interrupted Brad and Britt. Robert said he felt betrayed by Anna (Finola Hughes) because she never gave him a clue on her escape plan and she hadn’t heard from her. Laura joined them while waiting for her take out order. She told Holly that Martin Grey was her brother. After Selina walked away, Britt told Brad how his aunt knew something about her past and blackmailed her so Brad could work for her. Gladys re-introduced herself to Selina. Sam and Dante went into the squad room for some privacy when he looked inside the paper bag she brought. He said there were some things he wouldn’t share with the entire squad room. Then, Dante pulled out the hoagie and started eating. When Elizabeth told Nikolas she had to deliver the baby without anesthesia, Esme jumped up proving she was faking. Esme asked how Elizabeth would feel if next time it was real and something happened to the baby. Sonny asked Sasha how she felt about Gladys making the decision for Deception. Sasha said she knew Gladys had her best interests in heart. Selina invited Gladys to one of the poker games she hosts at The Savoy. Sam and Dante talked about Anna and how she’ll probably lie low while gaining evidence against Victor (Charles Shaughnessey). When Holly commented she knew Anna was innocent, Laura became suspicious. Nikolas suggested Elizabeth return home and not say anything about Esme being there. Elizabeth reminded when Esme gave birth he’d need a nurse. Esme got emotional and cried when she felt her baby kick for the first time. Sam and Dante decided to do the renovations on the house themselves and save the money for a family vacation. Once they were alone, Laura told Robert she believed she was listening to Holly’s guilty conscience because she was working for Victor. Meanwhile, Holly thought about how she donned a face mask and posed as Anna to shoot Lucy (Lynn Herring).

Friday

Sam (Kelly Monaco) met Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) at GH and asked him whether he found out anything about Cody (Josh Kelly). Cody suggested taking Britt (Kelly Thiebauld) out for breakfast and noticed she had a hangover. Maxie (Kristen Storms) walked up just after Austin (Roger Howarth) finished talking with someone on the phone about treating a patient off the books. At The Metro Court dining room, Robert (Tristan Rogers) asked Holly (Emma Samms) what’s wrong. “Going my way?” Victor (Charles Shaughnessey) asked when he ran into Laura (Genie Francis) on Pier 55. Mac (John J. York) and Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) overheard Agent Whitten telling someone to keep an eye on Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) because he would lead them to Anna Devane (Finola Hughes). Anna drew her gun when someone entered the safe house. It was Valentin. She asked what he was doing there but rushed into his arms. Maxie asked Austin whether he was doing all those surgeries over whether it was something else. Spinelli told Sam that Cody had a juvenile arrest record. Cody noticed Britt’s hands shaking. Laura decided not to visit Nikolas (Marcus Coloma) after all when Victor suggested they take the launch together. Holly moved in to kiss Robert. Felicia overheard Agent Whitten arguing because Valentin lost the tail they had on him. Valentin told Anna they had to get her out of town because if she ended up in Pentonville Olivia Jerome made it clear she wouldn’t last the night. Spinelli told Sam that because they weren’t computerized he couldn’t access Cody’s juvenile arrest record. Mac told Dante he wasn’t Cody’s father. Dante left when Felicia entered. She told Mac she overheard the US Marshal talking about watching anyone who was close with Anna and warned him to be careful. Felicia wanted to know Mac’s feelings about learning Cody wasn’t his son. Holly listened as Robert received a call and asked someone to text her the address of the safe house so he could meet up with Anna tonight. She “accidentally” spilled coffee on her skirt and asked Robert to get her some club soda. When he walked away, Holly picked up Robert’s phone and looked at the address: 155 Hidden Hills Drive. She said she had to leave after he returned with the club soda then called Victor and said they needed to meet. Valentin told Anna they get her to safety first and then prove her innocence to bring her home to everyone who loves her. Sam came to Britt’s office with information about the necklace. Britt said Sam could talk in front of Cody. Sam found out information proving the necklace belonged to Leopold Taub and now Cody as his son unless any other heirs materialize. Maxie wanted Spinelli to convince Georgie to go on the family trip with her and Austin. Holly met Victor on Pier 55 and gave him the safe house address. He told her she had to call the tip into the police because he had another matter to attend to which could be her next assignment. “I’ll be in touch” Victor said with a smirk then left. Laura arrived at the PCPD and met Agent Whitten. He warned if Valentin is with Anna he could be hurt or worse leaving her granddaughter Charlotte without both her parents. He got the tip about Anna’s location and asked Mac and Dante whether they’d want to come. As it was part of the job, they both reluctantly went along. Laura told Felicia this could be trouble. She texted Valentin saying she wanted to talk about Charlotte. Austin took Britt away from Sam and Cody saying he needed Dr. Westbourne for a consultation. In actuality, Austin told her he was in touch with a Huntingdon’s Disease specialist who agreed to meet with her tonight. Sam accused Cody of knowing about the necklace beforehand that was why he wanted Spinelli to match him up with Britt. When Cody made a comment about Dante not being all good, Sam later asked Spinelli to wait on uncovering Cody’s juvenile record. Victor overheard Britt saying Cody is the owner of part of the Ice Princess. Agent Whitten, Mac, Dante and the swat team burst into the safe house but found it empty. Agent Whitten said either their tipster had wrong information or they just missed Anna Devane. Meanwhile, Anna kissed Valentin goodbye before leaving for her ride to take her somewhere safe. Robert joined Holly on Pier 55 and told her “You’ve got some explaining to do.”
