A weekly column highlighting the Port Charles happenings during the past week on General Hospital. Read below to find out what you missed or to refresh your memory in time for next week.

Monday

“I’m trying to do the right thing,” Dex told Josslyn (Eden McCoy). “Try being honest,” Josslyn said. “You want honest” Dex said, then pulled Josslyn in for a kiss. Just then, Sonny (Maurice Benard) knocked on the door and demanded Dex open up. Olivia (Lisa LoCierco) came to Robert’s (Tristan Rogers) office and asked what went down between him and Holly (Emma Samms). Mac (John J. York), Felicia (Kristina Wagner) and Laura (Genie Francis) were at The Metro Court when Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) approached their table. Mac told Valentin that since the Ice Princess was involved, the situation had the Cassadine stench all over it. Cody (Josh Bell) interrupted Britt (Kelly Thiebauld) inviting Austin (Roger Howarth) to her birthday party and invited himself. Willow (Katelyn MacMuellen) told Michael (Chad Duell) she didn’t want anyone to know about her diagnosis yet. Drew (Cameron Mathison) received a text from his reporter that Denise McKenzie, a female firefighter who knew Harmony back in the day when she was known as Lorraine. Carly told Drew how Willow fainted and suggested he not say anything about his meeting with Denise that would get her hopes up. Britt told Cody to cut his losses as far as a relationship with her was concerned. Mac warned Valentin even if it took the rest of his life he’d bring Victor down…and Valentin better hope he’s nowhere close. Sonny questioned who helped Dex. He refused to accept Dex not wanting to betray the person who helped confidence. “It was me,” Josslyn said, coming out of her hiding place. Britt told Austin since she was terminal she wanted to have a huge birthday party and party like it’s 1999. Cody met Mac at the bar at The Metro Court and asked him to recover his necklace. Mac told Cody it was destroyed in a fire. Robert pulled the necklace from its hiding place. Josslyn confronted Sonny about Dex getting hurt while doing his dirty work then left. Sonny angrily told Dex he can’t get Josslyn involved. He told Dex about an upcoming job with more responsibilities. Cody wondered whether his questionable actions were due to upbringing on genetics. “That DNA test was my loss,” Cody told Mac. Austin told Britt trying to spare her family and friends may be robbing them of moments they may want to spend with her. Felicia admitted to Valentin that Lucy was alive as the first bullet fired was a rubber one that pushed her into the water while the second one was to leave a shell casing for the police to find. Felicia gave Valentin information for someone in Europe who could get a message to Anna (Finola Hughes) that Lucy was still alive. Laura came to Robert’s office. He filled her in on what was going on and she said they had to stop Victor. Carly called Olivia and asked her to let her know when Denise checked into The Metro Court. Michael came to see Dex and gave him the last payment along with a bonus and told him the job was over and he wanted him to leave town right away. But Dex told him something was about to go down with Sonny. At The Metro Court, Sonny and Valentin looked at each other but didn’t say a word.

Tuesday

Curtis (Donnell Turner) arrived at the police commissioner’s office to hand deliver an invitation to his wedding to Jordan (Tanisha Harper) and told her to check the joyous accept box. At GH, Portia (Brooke Kerr) asked Marshall (Robert Gossett) whether he’s given any thought about genetic testing. Ava (Maura West) and Trina (Tabyana Ali) were out shopping when Rory (Michael Kruse) appeared. Cyrus (Jeff Kober) notices Spencer (Nicholas Chavez) has been avoiding him. Eileen Ashby reported to Victor (Charles Shaughnessey) how Holly (Emma Samms) had a long road to recovery and the necklace was gone. Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) came to Wyndemere when Nikolas (Marcus Coloma) called her worried about Esme (Avery Kristen Pohl). Jeff Webber (William R. Moses) came to visit Heather (Alley Mills) He was concerned when Elizabeth showed him the bottle of prenatal vitamins that were supposed to last a month were empty. Curtis was certain Jordan would find the hook killer and make it safe for Port Charles again. Elizabeth and Nikolas realized Esme was faking again. As Esme took one of the vitamins before she flushed the others, Elizabeth commented how Nikolas wasn’t the only one who cared about the baby. Victor said to Ava it was true love was wasted on the young as they watched Rory and Trina together. Curtis explained to Jordan he felt as if Trina was his child and wanted Jordan to share with him information on the police’s investigation in order to keep Trina safe. Portia suggested Marshall seek genetic testing because the doctors at the time of his schizophrenia diagnosis didn’t have all the medical information they do now. Cyrus assured Spencer he was repented of his sins unlike his Uncle Victor. He gave Spencer an early Christmas gift: Two turtle dove figurines suggesting he keep one and give one to Trina. Although he knew Trina would love them, Spencer told Cyrus he couldn’t give them to her because she had a new life now. Finn (Michael Easton) told Alexis (Nancy Grahan) how Reiko had an affair with Elizabeth’s father. Jeff confronted Heather about seeing Cameron (William Lipton) at Kelly’s during her brief time of freedom. Ryan (Jon Lindstrom) was wheeled in. Jeff warned Heather not to make any more contact with his family. When Esme smirked how Nikolas should tell Elizabeth about why she disappeared for a while, he asked Liz to leave and get more prenatal vitamins. Once they were alone, Esme told Nikolas she wanted a real Christmas tree with decorations recalling how her nanny Maggie tried to make Christmas special for her. When Trina said she couldn’t get Spencer out of her mind, Ava told her complicated men brought chaos. Victor arrived at Pentonville and announced he had news about Spencer’s future. Curtis met with Alexis at the PC Grill and said the police had more information about the killer than they’re saying. Heather whispered to Ryan if he could talk they’d have a lot to talk about. While getting more prenatal vitamins, Elizabeth ran into her father at GH. Nikolas put the empty bottle of prenatal vitamins down to answer the door. It was Finn.

Wednesday

County Kerry, Ireland. Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) entered a house and called out for Tiffany. A hand touched his neck. “Hello stranger,” Anna (Finola Hughes) said in greeting. Felica (Kristina Wagner) and Laura (Genie Francis) had a meeting with Robert (Tristan Rogers) in his office. He told them he’s already swept for bugs so they could talk freely. At GH, Britt (Kelly Thiebauld) spoke with someone about renting out The Haunted Star so she could party like there was no tomorrow. Cody (Josh Kelly) told Sam (Kelly Monaco) and Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) it was time he left Port Charles. Dante left to get Cody some coffee. Sam said it may be a good idea if Cody left Port Charles for good. Britt invited Terry (Cassandra James) to her birthday party. Victor (Charles Shaughnessy) told Spencer (Nicholas Chavez he called in a few favors and Spencer was coming home today. Finn (Michael Easton) told Nikolas (Marcus Coloma) he needed to talk with him about Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl). Valentin told Anna it may have been a mistake coming there because of the danger. Spencer thanked his Uncle Victor for coming through for him. Cyrus (Jeff Kober) told Spencer if he didn’t want to set foot in Pentonville again by visiting him, he hoped he’d write. Spencer left with the guard. Once they were alone, Victor told Cyrus that Spencer would never have to see Renault again. Felicia found something that looked like a serial number on the necklace but it didn’t match anything on the diamond registry. Anna was relieved Lucy was alive and thought it better if she and Valentin looked for her together. Finn told Nikolas that Esme could be hiding out on Spoon Island. Nikolas asked him to wait there while he questioned the staff. Finn noticed the bottle of prenatal vitamins. Cody reminded Dante it could be bad for both of them if the truth came out about what happened all those years ago. Jeff apologized to Elizabeth for what he and her mother did to her all those years ago. Before leaving to return home, Jeff said he hoped it wouldn’t be another twenty-five years ago before they saw each other again. Britt commented Terry would do great if she were the solo Chief of Staff saying of their co-chief partnership nothing lasts forever. Laura and Robert realized Victor was looking for a code hidden in one of the diamonds saying they had to crack it first. Nikolas was surprised when Victor entered with Spencer. Spencer told Nikolas his early release came with conditions and depended on whether he stayed out of trouble. Because if he didn’t keep his nose clean, Spencer would go right back to Pentonville. When Felicia learned from a guard the police had a lead on where Anna was, she called Valentin. Valentin told Anna they had to leave now. They were surprised when they opened the front door and saw who was on the other side.

Thursday

Anna (Finola Hughes) and Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) were surprised to open and find Martin (Michael E. Knight) on the other side. Martin said he knew if he followed Valentin, Cassadine would lead him to Lucy’s (Lynn Herring) killer. Spencer (Nicholas Chavez) told Victor (Charles Shaughnessy) his father doesn’t want him living there. Finn (Michael Easton) told Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) he was worried about her so it was good to have her in his arms. Rory (Michael Kruse) and Trina (Tabyana Ali) were having dinner at the PC Grill and he assured she was safe because she was with him. Jordan (Tanisha Harper) came to Spring Ridge to question Ryan (Jon Lindstrom) about Esme (Avery Kristen Pohl). He refused to answer until Ava (Maura West) arrived. “Start blinking” she said. Sonny (Maurice Benard) was also at Spring Ridge to see Heather (Alley Mills). Ryan blinked that he felt Esme was capable of murder. Nikolas told Spencer although he and Ava were divorcing, he (Spencer) couldn’t stay there. Anna told Martin that Lucy was still alive. Martin wanted to go with them to find Lucy’s attempted killer. Agent Whitten knocked on the door. Anna and Valentin made themselves scarce. Martin let Agent Whitten and the other agent in. He explained he was there to grieve for his love (Lucy) and as Tiffany Hill’s attorney, she allowed him use of the country home. Sonny told Heather to speak with him first with the description of the person who helped Anna’s escape. When she describes Dex to a tee, Sonny warns Heather of the dangers of prison, even a minimal security one. So, Heather pretended she didn’t remember anything. Ryan communicated that the letter wasn’t written by Esme because it talked about getting revenge for a hurt family and Esme didn’t have anyone. Rory invited Trina to spend Christmas Eve with him and his family. Nikolas told Spencer he wanted their relationship to be better before Spencer moved back in. Since Spencer couldn’t stay at The Metro Court alone as a condition of his release, Nikolas told Victor he’d have to move back into the hotel. Victor offered to take Spencer to the PC Grill for a steak and potato dinner. Agent Whitten threatened Martin after his fellow agent went to check on getting a search warrant. Valentin appeared with his hands up and told Whitten that Martin followed him as he was looking for Anna. Agent Whitten didn’t believe either of them. Anna appeared from behind and held her gun on Agent Whitten ordering him to drop his weapon. Anna knocked him out then suggested Martin let the other agents in. While Anna and Valentin made their escape, Martin pretended Agent Whitten passed out. But when Whitten woke up, he ordered Martin be arrested. Finn assured Elizabeth he didn’t blame her for Reiko’s death. He warned her against Cassadine when he saw Nikolas was calling. FInn told Elizabeth how he went to Spoon Island looking for Esme. Spencer walked into the PC Grill in time to hear Rory tell Trina he loved her. Heather opened Ryan’s cell room door and greeted him as lover.

Friday

“What’s more important for you…working for me or making time with Josslyn?” Sonny asked Dex. Nina was surprised when she opened the door to Josslyn (Eden McCoy). “What are you doing here?” Josslyn asked. “I lost my appetite,” Spencer (Nicholas Chavez) told Victor (Charles Shaughnessy) when he saw Rory (Michael Kruse) and Trina (Tabyana Ali). Rory told Trina she didn’t have to say she loved him back. He gave her something to show how he felt…a fragrance called Amor. Trina looked up and was surprised to see Spencer. Heather (Alley Mills) let herself into Ryan’s (Jon Lindstrom) room and said when they were bad, they were very good. Finn (Michael Easton) told Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) he was following a trail that led to her and was convinced Esme (Avery Kristen Pohl) was hiding out on Spoon Island. Heather recalled how she met Ryan when she was hiking in the Catskills and they introduced themselves as Hazel and Richard. “I did what I always do…I relied on my family to get me out of trouble” Spencer told Trina. Nina told Josslyn how she and Carly (Laura Wright) reached an understanding about her spending time with Donna. Nina asked Josslyn to wait for Sonny to get home before taking him back to Carly’s. Dex told Sonny that Josslyn did a favor by not turning him in. Sonny told Dex some mistakes can’t be forgiven. He told Dex about the mistake he made when he was young and tried to impress Joe Scully. “This business, you have to have brains. You have to trust your instincts” Sonny said. Josslyn only agreed to wait until Donna was done eating. She thanked Nina for doing what no one ever could…getting Sonny away from her mother. Spencer told Trina how his family connections secured his release from Pentonville. After he walked away, Victor said it was well played except for the part where Cassadines never gave up. Finn told Elizabeth that Nikolas was hiding something. Heather told Ryan she knows he’s faking. Ryan spoke and told Heather she left and hurt him by breaking his heart, adding she never hurt but that could change. Finn told Elizabeth he knows Nikolas is lying. Ryan commented how Heather was too good to be true; he almost thought he imagined her. Heather slapped Ryan. When Rory had to take a work call, Victor told Spencer not to miss an opportunity. Spencer came back to Trina’s table and asked her a question “Can we start over?” Nina told Josslyn she only regretted not only keeping the truth for everyone but also herself. “I came to care for someone where everyone was telling me it was wrong.” Nina thought about kissing Dex and said she was nothing like Nina. “Who said you were like me?” Nina asked. Sonny told Dex an important lesson he learned was when to use a gun and when to keep the safety on. Sonny pulled a gun from his desk drawer and told Dex “It’s yours. Take it.” He told Dex he wanted him to come along on the meeting he set up with the third party. Nina told Josslyn she’s too honest to a fault and quick to judge people by her high standards. When Nina asked how Cameron (William Lipton) was, Josslyn thought about when she told Trina it’s been hard to reconnect with Cameron. Spencer told Trina he knew what it meant when a guy took you to the best restaurant in town and announced for everyone to hear he loved her. Victor cornered Rory and said as a cop he knew when to call it quits. Heather told Ryan the slap was for victimizing her son. Elizabeth told Finn not to go to Jordan (Tanisha Harper). But Finn said it was the only way to protect their families. He wanted to go to his office to call Jordan but remember Elizabeth forgot something. He returned to Terry’s (Cassandra James) office. “Finn, wait!” Finn picked up the prenatal vitamins bottle and remembered seeing the same bottle at Wyndemere. Rory returned to the PC Grill and Spencer went back to his table with his Uncle Victor. Sonny returned home with Dex. “Dex, are you joining us?” Nina asked. Josslyn left the room to see whether Donna was ready to go home. Dex declined Nina’s dinner invitation and left. Nina commented to Sonny that Josslyn had a lot on her mind. Trina told Rory they’ll do the celebration again some other time then left the PC Grill. Victor told Spencer if Ms. Robinson preferred Officer Cabrera over him; it was her loss. When Spencer left to use the restroom, Victor picked up the gift box with the two turtle doves figurines and put it in his pocket. Heather told Ryan she’d keep his secret that he could speak and was mobile, adding she owed him one. Ryan said she actually owed him two because she was pregnant with his child when she left. Finn asked Elizabeth whether the pills were hers. Elizabeth told Finn to let it go. But he said he couldn’t. “Are you pregnant?” Finn asked Elizabeth.
