A weekly column highlighting the Port Charles happenings during the past week on General Hospital. Read below to find out what you missed or to refresh your memory in time for next week.

Monday

“Because I know when you left you were carrying our child. Did you really think you could hide her existence from me?” Ryan (Jon Lindstrom) asked Heather (Alley Mills). She said she went through great lengths to do just that. Nikolas (Marcus Coloma) told Esme (Avery Kristen Pohl) he was there to give her fondest wish. Spencer (Nicholas Chavez) returned to Wyndemere and pulled out a bottle of sherry. Trina (Tabyana Ali) was glad to see Ava (Maura West). Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) lied she was pregnant. Finn (Michael Easton) was shocked she was carrying another man’s child. Carly (Laura Wright) arrives at The Metro Court to hear what Denise tells Drew (Cameron Mathison). But Willow (Katelyn MacMuellen) interrupted and asked Carly to join her for dinner as Michael (Chad Duell) was away on business. “Where did baby Callie come from?” Drew asked. Denise told Drew that Joan was pregnant on the commune and gave her baby to Lorraine/Harmony. Denise told Drew how Joan died of drug overdose awhile back. Elizabeth lied that Nikolas was the father. Finn said he planned to tell the police Nikolas was hiding Esme on Spoon Island. He refused to protect Nikolas for her. Nikolas found Spencer drinking sherry. Spencer told his father how the cop told Trina he loved her. Ryan told Heather how he’s developed a relationship with their daughter Esme. He scolded Heather for stealing his chain of keepsakes and giving it to their daughter, which is what she used to find him. Heather explained how baby Esme pulled on her chain and one keepsake remained. Heather asked Ryan to tell her about their daughter. Nikolas brought Esme a small Christmas tree which she decorated with toilet paper. Nikolas encouraged Spencer not to give up hope for him and Trina. Elizabeth said her boys didn’t know anything about the pregnancy and asked Finn not to say anything to anyone. Finn told Elizabeth he’d never do anything to hurt her boys. Trina texted Welcome Home to Spencer, who smiled when he received the text and told Nikolas there was still hope. Ava showed up at Wyndemere. Ryan revealed he could stand and he and Heather vowed to make the people who hurt their daughter pay. Johan brought Esme small balls and lights for her Christmas tree. Carly left the table so Drew could tell Willow what he found out in private. She went to the lounge and sat down with Denise, who told Carly it went the way she wanted with Drew.

Tuesday

Nina (Cynthia Watros) offered to make dessert for Sonny (Maurice Benard) but he was having dessert delivered. Nina found a drawing labeled Mommy on the couch. Carly (Laura Wright) took Denise to the break room near the pool for privacy since the pool was closed and no one would be using it. Denise told Carly things went off without a hitch…no one would be looking for that poor girl’s mother. Drew (Cameron Mathison) told Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) her birth mother died. At GH, Maxie (Kristen Storms) confronted Britt (Kelly Thiebauld) about not using her as her party planner for the party Britt is drawing for herself. Austin (Roger Howarth) thanked Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) for bringing the algorithm showing he and Maxie were a perfect match. Alexis (Nancy Grahan) and Gregory (Gregory Harrison) had drinks at Charlie’s. Finn (Michael Easton) walked away when he saw Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) come off the elevator. Ava (Maura West) told Nikolas (Marcus Coloma) they needed to discuss the state of their marriage. Britt hand delivered Maxie’s invitation to her birthday party. Spinelli commented Austin was going through a lot to prove he belonged with Maxie. Denise told Carly the one payment covered one dead parent…if she wanted a dad father for Willow it would cost her. Drew realized Willow was sick. Finn came to Charlie’s and told Alexis it was over with Elizabeth. Nikolas told Ava that since Spencer (Nicholas Chavez) just moved back it may not be a good time for Ava to move back in. She was surprised when Elizabeth used a key and let herself in. Elizabeth lied and Nikolas gave her a key because she was working on a family tree project for the boys. After Ava left, Elizabeth told Nikolas how she had to lie to Finn she was pregnant with his child when he saw the prenatal vitamins at Wyndemere and saw her with them. Liz said it brought her some time but she wanted to tell Finn the truth. Nina told Sonny her fear of using Donna to fill the hole in her heart for a child. Carly wrote another check for Denise. Willow admitted she was in Stage 4 of leukemia and asked Drew to keep it a secret, adding besides him now the only people who knew were Michael (Chad Duell), TJ (Taj Bellows) and her doctors. Elizabeth asked Nikolas whether he could juggle Esme and a reunion with Ava. Finn ran into Ava on the pier but decided against telling her about Elizabeth’s pregnancy. Maxie was angry when she discovered Austin blackmailed Spinelli into running his Society Setups algorithm on him and Maxie. Sonny told Nina he would support her discussion not to get any closer to Donna than as his friend but assured her he was in this for the long haul. Carly ran into Drew and Willow and commented after Willow left how she didn’t realize finding her birth parents meant so much to Willow. “Neither did I” Drew said.

Wednesday

Josslyn (Eden McCoy) asked Trina (Tabyana Ali) to spill the details about her anniversary dinner with Rory (Michael Kruse). Jordan (Tanisha Harper) commended Rory for getting the wife of the domestic abuse case to press charges.Cameron (William Lipton) was surprised when Spencer (Nicholas Cahvez) entered Kelly’s. He told Cameron he was released early. Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) said he hoped Spencer learned something from his time in Pentonville. Spencer assured he’d never go back to prison and planned to play by the rules from now on. At GH, Brad (Parry Shen) told Britt (Kelly Thiebauld) he mailed out the invitations but noticed one was missing: The invite for Cody (Josh Kelly). Cody sat down next to Maxie (Kristen Storms) at The Bistro. She told him what Austin (Roger Howarth) did. At Volonino’s Gym, Nina (Cynthia Watros) went over to her Aunt Liesl (Kathleen Gati) who was punching the punching bag violently. Dex (Evan Hofer) told Sonny (Maurice Benard) he was ready for the meeting. Britt told Brad that Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) was behind Society Setups. Maxie asked Cody why men do stupid things. Jordan was glad things were going well for Rory with Trina, calling her special. Trina told Josslyn that Rory said he loved her. Josslyn asked whether Trina was in love with Spencer and if that was why she couldn’t tell Rory she loved him. Spencer told Cameron after he finished his sentence he may not stay in Port Charles because nothing was keeping him there. Trina told Josslyn how she had fun with Rory but wasn’t drawn to him the way she was to Spencer. Trina asked whether she was being fair to Rory. Dante entered Jordan’s office and gave her information about the poison the hook killer had been using came from a venomous snake that wasn’t easy to come by. Britt told Brad she’s been talking with her lawyer about her wil and was leaving everything to him. Trina told Josslyn it was so much easier when Spencer was away. “I don’t want to date Rory because I can’t have Spencer. I don’t even want Spencer” Trina said. “But you do,” Josslyn said. When Dex entered Kelly’s, Cameron told Spencer about how Josslyn helped Dex when Sonny thought he was the hook killer. “Whatever Sonny did to Dex, Josslyn hates him for it” Cameron told Spencer. Nina and Liesl talked about Jay/Nathan and how they missed him during Christmas. Britt told Brad it was good to be prepared. Cameron came over to the counter when Dex yelled whether anyone worked there. Dex ordered a medium rare burger to go. Spencer introduced himself to Dex and said since he worked for his Uncle Sonny, Dex worked for him. Rory took a photo of information in the hook killer file. Fighting tears, Liesl told Nina that Britt was sick and had Huntington’s Disease. Sonny overheard and told Liesl she’ll find the strength to be there for her daughter. Maxie told Cody how if you wanted to go the distance in a relationship you had to open up and show the other person who you really are. Brad told Britt the will thing meant a lot to him. Britt called him her best friend in the whole world. “We’re more than that, we’re family” Brad said and they hugged. He asked Britt why this birthday was such a big deal. Josslyn walked in just in time to hear Spencer order Dex to “Stay away from Josslyn Jaxs.” Sonny told Liesl how Alzheimer’s took a lot from his father Mike. “Those times at the end, they were a gift” Sonny told Liesl. Nina promised not to say a word to anyone about Britt. Nina thanked Sonny for trying to help her Aunt Liesl. Maxie urged Cody not to give up if he liked Britt. “Trust me, Britt just needs time.” “I want people to see me in all my glory,” Britt told Brad “This party will be a once in a lifetime experience” Brad promised. Spencer punched Dex, knocking him to the floor. Trina arrives at the police commissioner’s office and asks Jordan whether she’s seen Rory. Meanwhile, Rory knocked on an apartment door then went inside.

Thursday

“I think it’s important that we establish a winning mindset before we try to catch a killer,” Curtis said. Rory (Michael Kruse) entered an apartment and fired a shot as a hook was raised. “Shots fired ” Dante (Dominic Zamprogna), who was right behind radioed in. At GH, Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) assured Portia (Brooke Kerr) that Esme (Avery Kristen Pohl) would never take another life again. Nikolas (Marcus Coloma) told Ava (Maura West) regardless of what happened or what would happen, he’d always love her. “Do some damage if you think you can ” Spencer taunted Dex (Evan Hofer) after decking him. Trina (Tabyana Ali) came to Jordan’s (Tanisha Harper) looking for Rory. Dante kicked in the apartment door. Curtis and Alexis commented how talking at Volonino’s Gym gave them privacy. Cameron (William Lipton) broke up the fight and Dex left. Trina decided not to wait at the PCPD for Rory. Jordan got a call about the incident Dante radioed in about. Dante found a man shot on the floor. Rory stumbled out of the other room wounded and fell on the couch. Gregory knew something was wrong with his son because Finn (Michael Easton) was overworking. Portia reminded Elizabeth neither she nor Finn had RSVP to her wedding. Ava was shocked when Nikolas served her with divorce papers. She told him that he didn’t have to be alone or forced to divorce her. Sam (Kelly Monaco) met Maxie (Kristen Storms) at The Bistro. Maxie needed relationship advice. Elizabeth told Portia she’ll be at her wedding but couldn’ t speak for Finn because they broke up. Gregory gave Finn the drawing Violet (Jophelle Love) did for him because she noticed he was sad. After Spencer angrily left Kelly’s, he ran into Trina. Jordan and some cops bursted into the apartment to find Dante trying to stop Rory’s bleeding. Dante and the cop helped Rory to his feet to get him to GH. Jordan called in the dead body of the man. Curtis told Alexis how Trina let it slip that Jordan has been using Ryan Chamberlain (Jon Lindstrom) as a profiler into the mind of the hook serial killer. Spencer told Trina he was leaving town. Rory was rushed into the ER. Curtis told Alexis how there was something else between Esme and Rory more than psychology student and subject and they needed to find out what it was. Their conversation was interrupted when Jordan called Curtis looking for Taggert and told him to bring Trina to GH because there’s been another attack. Nikolas told Ava he had an affair with Elizabeth who is pregnant with his child. Finn performed surgery on Rory and asked for the anti-venom. Dex thinked about Josslyn while punching the bag at Volonino’s Gym. Spencer told Trina he was leaving town because he was tired of disappointing people he knows so he’s going to somewhere else after his sentence is over and disappoint people he doesn’t know. Curtis interrupted and told them Cameron and Josslyn needed to hear something. When they were all inside Kelly’s, Curtis told them Jordan wanted him to take them to GH so she could keep an eye on them, they needed police protection because there’s been another attack. “I’m sorry Trina…it’s Rory.” At GH, Jordan told Alexis she could quote her and said she wasn’t losing her officer. Maxie told Sam how Austin (Roger Howarth) blackmailed Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) and said he wasn’t the man she thought he was and couldn’t be trusted. Ava angrily told Nikolas his day was coming and he wouldn’t get her pity. Curtis, Trina, Cameron and Josslyn arrived in the ER at GH. Portia came out and told her daughter Rory had internal bleeding. When he was wheeled out, Trina rushed to Rory’s journey. He removed his oxygen mask and said he may have said it too soon but didn’t regret telling her how he felt. Then, Rory coded.

Friday

“It was too soon to tell you how I feel. But not sorry now you know” Rory (Michael Kruse) told Trina before he coded. The doctors rushed to revive him while Josslyn (Eden McCoy) comforted Trina. Laura (Genie Francis) ran into Nikolas (Marcus Coloma) at the launch to Spoon Island and said he looked like he’d lost his best friend. Ava (Maura West) played Nikolas’ tape confession for someone and ordered they meet her at the gallery. Zaanse Schans, Netherlands. Anna (Finola Hughes) and Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) planned their next move. Anna hoped for the day when they found Lucy and things got back to normal. Spencer (Nikolas Chavez) watched while Cameron (William Lipton) told Trina the doctors are working on Rory and there was still hope. Nikolas asked Laura to go somewhere quiet so she could forget he was the mayor. Laura asked how Spencer was able to get out of Pentonville three weeks early. Nikolas said he’d give her three guesses who was pulling the strings. Victor (Charles Shaugnessy) arrived at the gallery and Ava offered him a martini. She said he got what he wanted…her marriage to Nikolas is over. Trina collapsed in a pool of tears when Portia came out and told her they did everything they could but Rory was gone. Elizabeth put Rory’s personal effects in a manilla envelope including a women’s bangle bracelet. Portia asked Trina whether she wanted to go home. But Trina said she needed to be alone and went to the chapel. Josslyn told Cameron she had to be with Trina. Cameron and Spencer felt badly for Rory. Elizabeth asked Trina whether the bracelet was hers. Trina said it wasn’t and Dante put it in an evidence bag. Laura got a call from Jordan and told Nikolas she had to go to GH. Ava told Victor how Nikolas got Elizabeth pregnant then played Nikolas’ video confession for Victor, who reminded since Elizabeth saw Esme alive Nikolas’ confession is moot now. Plus, everyone will know Nikolas only made the confession to protect her. Still, as he knew the damage it could do to the Cassadine name, Victor agreed to ensure Ava received the divorce settlement she wanted. Jordan called Finn, Portia and Elizabeth over to speak with them. Elizabeth, Cameron, Spencer and Curtis all said they didn’t believe Esme was guilty. Elizabeth left a voicemail for Nikolas to call her saying he could be walking into a trap. Spencer told Laura he destroyed everything he touched, blaming himself for bringing Esme to town. Laura assured she’d always have faith in him to do the right thing. Before she left with Dante, Josslyn told Cameron what she had to tell him earlier could wait. Spencer told Cameron things have changed…he would be there for Trina and wouldn’t leave town until Esme was caught. Elizabeth arrived at Wyndemere and found Esme and Nikolas admiring the Christmas tree. “All that’s missing is an Angel,” Esme said. After Nikolas told her he was certain Esme hadn’t left, Elizabeth told him about the latest hook attack. She said they gave up Finn and Ava for nothing because they thought Esme was the hook.
