A weekly column highlighting the Port Charles happenings during the past week on General Hospital. Read below to find out what you missed or to refresh your memory in time for next week.

Monday

Curtis (Donnell Turner) warned Portia (Brooke Kerr) by encouraging Trina (Tabyana Ali) to stay away from Spencer (Nicholas Chavez) she could be pushing Trina into Spencer’s arms. Spencer told Diane (Carolyn Hennessy) he wanted to retain her legal services. “It’s about Esme’s baby” he said. Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) and Nikolas (Marcus Coloma) discussed their situation in the GH chapel. Esme (Avery Kristen Pohl) woke up to find Laura (Genie Francis) in her hospital room. Carly (Laura Wright) told Sonny (Maurice Benard) she asked Nina (Cynthia Watros) to be tested. Nina told Willow she was her mother. Willow laughed, calling Nina delusional. Nina explained how she had twins; one given to Harmony and the other to Phyllis (Joyce Guy) who gave the baby to Frank Benson. Nikolas told Elizabeth how his Uncle Victor is keeping a storage locker with some of the things recovered from the room where Esme was staying to use to keep him in line. Taggert arrived at Curtis and Portia’s and they talked about Trina getting close with Spencer again. Spencer told Diane that Nikolas was the father of Esme’s baby and he wanted full custody of his baby brother or sister to keep her from a delusional mother and a toxic father. “You have every right to feel betrayed but you have no legal right to your father’s child.” Diane told Spencer. Diane warned Spencer how hard it was to get the parental rights of the biological parents severed. Plus as he was fresh from a stint in Pentonville, so Spencer would be on the defense himself. Laura told Esme she was the mayor and the grandmother of her baby. She showed Esme photos of Nikolas and Spencer on her phone. Dante entered. He showed Esme a photo of the Christmas ornament and asked whether she remembers it. He gave her his business card and asked her to call if she remembers anything. “Why would I help the police build a case against the girl I used to be?” Sonny accused Carly of keeping the secret to get revenge on Nina. Willow told Michael she needed to speak with Nina alone. After Michael left the room, Willow told Nina that their blood didn’t change how she felt about her. Nina vowed not to let anyone stop her from saving Willow’s life…not even Willow. Then she left to get tested to see whether she was a viable bone marrow donor. Sonny and Michael had a civil conversation. While Dante and Laura discussed the Esme legal situation, Nikolas plotted to keep Esme from remembering. After telling him to call her Diane and not Ms. Miller, Diane agreed to take Spencer’s case if he was serious about obtaining full custody. Michael returned to WIllow’s room. Willow lamented why couldn’t anyone else but Nina have been her mother. Nina returned to the waiting area and told Sonny she had a daughter who didn’t want anything to do with her.

Tuesday

Paris, France. Anna (Finola Hughes) was frustrated because Victor’s (Charles Shaughnessey)stronghold was impenetrable. Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) told Anna to look at the bright side: They are in Paris together. Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) told Michael (Chad Duell) she didn’t want to deliver the baby early. Chase (Josh Swickward) and Sasha (Sofia Mattesson) talked about Willow’s condition. Victor came to Esme’s (Avery Kristeb Pohl) hospital room and told her “Just call me Uncle Victor.” Heather (Alley Mills) lets herself into Ryan’s room. “Alone at last,” Ryan said. Nina (Cynthia Watros) told Sonny (Maurice Benard) she was going to save her daughter. Anna told Valentin she’d never forgive herself if something happened to Lucy (Lynn Herring). Michael reminded Willow that she needs the bone marrow transplant in order to live to deliver a healthy baby. Heather told Ryan her favorite security guard was replaced which will make it harder to sneak in and out of Spring Ridge. Esme asked the guard to give her some time alone with the nice man (Victor) who could give her more information about who she was. The guard said they had two minutes. Esme wrongly assumed Victor was her uncle until he explained he was the uncle to the baby she was carrying. Martin (Michael E. Knight) interrupted and pulled Victor out into the hall to speak alone. He not too subtly hinted that his mind being preoccupied with Lucy may hinder his ability to represent Esme and keep her out of prison. Willow told Sasha that Nina was her mother. Nina told Sonny she’d never forgive Carly (Laura Wright) for keeping her daughter away from her. Now she and Willow’s relationship is beyond repair. Willow told Sasha that Nina was her biological mother. Sasha asked whether Willow would refuse the bone marrow donation because of her disdain for Nina. Willow told her she wouldn’t. Michael told Chase that Willow was Nina’s mother. Antoine, the young son of one of Victor’s guards told Anna and Valentin about how his father was glad to get off work and away from the American woman who talked too much, said “Ta” and tried to brain him with a tray. Anna and Valentin knew it was Lucy. Valentin paid Antoine and told him not to mention to anyone about the questions he asked. Heather told Ryan she planned to use a guard as a hostage, break out of Spring Ridge then go on the run with Esme. Ryan thought Heather needed a better plan. Victor asked to beef up security because he lost track of Anna and Valentin and said they could be coming there. After the boy left, Anna and Valentin strategized on how they’d rescue Lucy. Heather’s plan changed when she saw a guard bringing Esme in. Willow told Michael she’d have the baby early so she can get a bone marrow transplant. Nina was happy she was a match for Willow. She thanked Sonny for being there for her, saying she couldn’t have made it without him.

Wednesday

Paris, France. An attractive blonde arrived at Anna (Finola Hughes) and Valentin’s (James Patrick Stuart) hotel room. Esme (Avery Kristen Pohl) tried to explain to the guard there’s been some mistake. But she was told someone would show her to her room shortly. Heather (Alley Mills) appeared and offered comfort that everything is going to be okay. Spencer (Nicholas Chavez) read The Invader article about Esme being remanded to Spring Ridge Minimum Security Prison. Ava’s (Maura West) curiosity caused her to meet Spencer at Kelly’s. Nina (Cynthia Watros) arrived at GH with Sonny (Maurice Benard) for another screening to see whether she is a bone marrow match to give Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) a transplant. Willow told TJ (Taj Bellows) she wanted to go through with inducing labor or a C-Section so she could give birth early to be ready for the bone marrow transplant. TJ told Willow he was relieved then left when he received a page Nina was there. TJ left the room. Carly (Laura Wright) watched from outside the room. Valentin introduced Anna to Renee, who would help them infiltrate the catacombs leading to Victor’s (Charles Shaughnessey) compound. Spencer told Ava his intention to fight for full custody of Esme’s baby to keep it from its toxic parents, his father and Esme. Heather told Esme she was her mate and would look out for her while she was at Spring Ridge. Heather said the name Esme means beloved in French so whoever gave it to her must have really loved her. She suggested they make friendship bracelets to pass the time. Heather warned Esme to stay away from Ryan Chamberlain (Jon Lindstrom). Nina apologized for accusing TJ of having an affair with Willow. But TJ said all he cared about was his friend and proceeded to get in Dr. Ashford mode. Michael told his mother now wasn’t the time. But Willow asked to speak with Carly alone. She told Carly she forgives. But Willow told Carly she should have told her the moment she found out Nina was her mother and trusted her to handle it. Carly was grateful Willow forgave her and said she loved Willow like a daughter. Renee met with Victor’s guard and offered to deliver Anna and Valentin. Heather told Esme about her daughter who was taken away from her when she was a baby. Ava urged Spencer to tell Trina (Tayana Ali) his plan to seek full custody of Esme’s baby. She told him she was his powerful person in his corner. Michael said a prayer in the GH chapel. When Carly entered, he told his mother he wasn’t ready to forgive him yet. Sonny came to visit Willow. She told him she wanted him to do whatever he needed to make up with Michael because she knows Michael needs him in his life. Renee returned to Anna and Valentin’s hotel room and told them everything was set for them to go through the catacombs to Victor’s compound to retrieve their American friend. Michael told Willow he doesn’t know whether he could forgive his mother. Carly sat in the GH chapel when Sonny entered.

Thursday

Portia (Brooke Kerr) told Curtis (Donnell Turner) she can’t wait to be his wife. Sonny (Maurice Benard) told Carly they would have known Nina (Cynthia Watros) was a match for Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) soon if she hadn’t let hatred get in the way. Nina told Austin (Roger Howarth) that Willow is her daughter. Spencer (Nicholas Chavez) was at Kelly’s and commented about Cameron (William Lipton) picking up extra shifts, realizing it was because of the breakup. Josslyn (Eden McCoy) entered. When he saw Dex (Evan Hofer) at GH, Michael (Chad Duell) asked what he was doing there and questioned him about the urgent message he left. Dex explained Sonny hasn’t shared with him any updated information about the Pipeman Group. Sonny accused Carly of hating Nina more than loving Willow. Austin called Liesl (Kathleen Gati) and when she arrived told her Nina needed her. Nina told her Aunt Liesl that Willow was her daughter and how Carly knew and kept it secret, watching her relationship with Willow deteriorate. Nina said she could kill Carly for her lies. Spencer verbally attacked Josslyn for hurting Cameron. Josslyn reminded Spencer how they’ve known each other since they were five and how she’s stood by him through all his stupid mistakes. But yet, Spencer was taking sides. Josslyn added she doesn’t want to see Cameron hurting because she cared for him. After Josslyn left, Spencer told Cameron there was more to the breakup then Joss was letting on. But Cameron said he trusted Josslyn was being honest with them and felt they could work their way to becoming friends. Liesl encouraged Nina not to focus on getting revenge against Carly but on building her relationship with her daughter. But when she learned Esme (Avery Kristen Pohl) was no longer at GH, she vowed to find the person she believed took her daughter Britta (Kelly Thiebauld) away from her. Michael told Josslyn that Nina was Willow’s mother and how their mother ran a DNA test but kept the results secret. He said he was unsure he could ever forgive her. Curtis asked Marshall (Robert Gossett) to perform a solo at his and Portia’s wedding. But Marshall told them since his diagnosis he was afraid to perform a solo for fear of having a schizophrenic episode. After Curtis left, Portia tried to encourage Marshall to be tested to get an official diagnosis. “How’s Willow?” Carly asked Michael. “Why do you ask…it’s obvious you don’t give a damn about her” Michael answered angrily.

Friday

Josslyn (Eden McCoy) asked Dex (Evan Hofer) to stay to talk when he walked her back to her dorm. Victor questioned Nikolas about his divorce from Ava (Maura West). Ava was examined by Austin (Roger Howarth) and commented on whether it was an operation to take out her heart. “Cameron if you’ve missed me so much…where have you been?” Violet asked.”Enough, why can’t you just mind your own business?!!!” Marshall shouted when Portia (Brooke Kerr) wouldn’t let up about him getting genetic testing for his schizophrenia. Carly (Laura Wright) told Michael (Chad Duell) he was wrong when he said she didn’t care about Willow (Katelyn MacMuellen). Ava and Austin talked about messy breakups. Nikolas (Marcus Coloma) couldn’t believe Ava discussed the details of their divorce with Victor and not him. Violet asked Finn (Michael Easton) if he didn’t like Aunt Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) anymore just as Liz entered Kelly’s. Josslyn told Dex that Nina (Cynthia Watros) was Willow’s mother. She talked about how hard it must be for Michael because of Willow’s illness. She remembered how it was when Oscar was sick. Carly told Michael she won’t apologize for trying to protect Willow from Nina. Elizabeth told Finn they will tell Violet together about their breakup. Curtis came out of the other room and questioned Portia and Marshall about the shouting he heard. Portia and Marshall apologized to each other. But Portia said Marshall didn’t exhibit any of the usual symptoms associated with schizophrenia. Curtis suggested Marshall speak with a psychiatrist. Carly confessed to paying off the pilot to lie to Drew (Cameron Mathison) and agreeing to help Drew’s search in order to sabotage it. Dex told Josslyn he will stop working for Sonny (Maurice Benard) in about three to six months after he finished taking care of something. Michael admitted if he’d been the one Harmony told the truth about Willow he might have done the same thing. When he found Mason waiting in his office, Austin told his cousin to tell the boss he was finished working for her. Thinking about Josslyn, Cameron rushed out of Kelly’s when he learned about Willow’s illness. Victor told Nikolas he agreed to give Ava Wyndemere to protect the family name. Finn and Elizabeth told Violet they were no longer together. Marshall cried if his schizophrenia diagnosis was false it meant he walked away from his family all those years for nothing. Michael told Carly she should have let Willow decide to do with the information that Nina was her mother. He asked how Drew felt about what she did. Carly said Drew was disappointed in her. “The next time you defy me will be your last” Victor warned Nikolas. Mason made a subtle threat against Maxie’s (Kristen Storms) daughter Georgie. Carly worried Michael would cut her out of his life like he has Sonny. Michael told Carly although he needs a little time before he could forgive her, he needs her in his life. Ava walked in on a tense moment between Austin and Mason. Victor told Nikolas to sign and approve the divorce settlement papers. After making love, Josslyn ordered a pizza. When there was a knock on the door, Josslyn said that must be the pizza and asked Dex to get it. Dex put on his pants and opened the door. It was Cameron, who was shocked to see a shirtless Dex and Josslyn wearing a robe.
