Tuesday

“Ten minutes until I say goodbye Port Charles,” Britt (Kelly Thiebaud) said as she stood on Pier 27. Liesl (Kathleen Gati) assured Maxie (Kristen Storms) that Britt enjoyed her party. “I knew I was late but I didn’t think I was this late, ” Carly (Laura Wright) said when she entered. Trina (Tabyana Ali) and Spencer (Nicholas Chavez) commented how Esme (Avery Kristen Pohl) was sure to see photos of them together. Dex (Evan Hofer) entered Kelly’s. Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) asked Dex how things were going working for his father. Josslyn (Eden McCoy) fought off the hook killer until her shoe heel broke. She fell down and the killer raised the hook. Dante asked whether Dex wanted to change his story. Dex decided not to get hot chocolate.”Are you trying to make a case against your father?” Sam asked. Drew also arrived late for the party. Remembering how Britt helped on Cassadine Island. Drew said Liesl raised a brave and strong woman. Britt enjoyed watching the fireworks. “You never expect anything good to happen do you?” Trina asked when Spencer said it would have hurt too much if Britt and his father made it to the altar and it didn’t work out. Nikolas told Elizabeth how Esme dove off the terret. Elizabeth commented how she didn’t know how Esme could have survived the frigid temperatures. Josslyn continued to fight off the hook killer but was knocked to the ground. Fortunately, Britt appeared and joined the fray. “Back off bitch” Britt said. Carly met Drew on Pier 27 in answer to his text. Drew said he couldn’t ring in the New Year without seeing her. “What does justice look like when it applies to my father?” Dante asked Sam. Liesl told Maxie how she wished she made better choices when it came to her children. Britt told Josslyn to run as she fought off the hook killer. She was cornered against the wall when shots rang out. “Shoot her again,” Britt demanded. But The Hook ran off. Dex helped Josslyn up. Josslyn thanked Britt for saving her life. Dex told Britt he didn’t shoot because he didn’t have a clear shot. Liesl told Maxie she admired her as a mother. Drew told Carly how he could be himself with her. And looking into her gorgeous blue eyes he could see a positive future. Nikolas told Elizabeth”The crimes don’t matter because no one will ever know.” Trina told Spencer he could find something good to hold onto. Suddenly, Esme appeared shivering from having survived the frigid water. Then, she collapsed. Spencer rushed to her aid. Trina noticed Esme was pregnant. Spencer said they had to get her to GH. Maxie and Liesl talked about how Nathan would live on through James. Sam told Dante him being conflicted over being a cop and Sonny’s (Maurice Benard) son is why she respects him. Dante received a call. The police arrived and questioned Britt about her altercation with the hook killer. Dex brought Josslyn back to his place and gave her some scotch. He told her he used the gun Sonny gave him to shoot the hook killer. But either the bullet hit its target or ended up in the water. Carly told Drew how different things were from how she felt last New Year’s. Drew toasted to this New Years and all the future ones he’d spend with her. Spencer called Elizabeth and told her Esme was in custody at GH. Maxie came to Kelly’s and joined Sam at her table at Kelly’s while the two awaited their ride shares. Dante arrived at GH and asked Spencer questions about how he found Esme. Soon, Elizabeth and Nikolas stepped off the elevator. Spencer told Dante he called Elizabeth because Esme had attacked her and he wanted her to know she was safe. Nikolas said he was with Elizabeth when she got the call and wanted to make sure his son was okay. When Dante left to question Person of Interest Esme, Spencer asked his father why he was really there. An officer gave Dante the personal belongings bagged for Esme. Dante noticed the Christmas ornament. When she woke up, Dante asked Esme what happened to hear. Heather took off the hook’s mask and was angry she’d been shot. Dex told Josslyn how worried he was when he came on the pier and saw her in danger because he didn’t want to lose her. They started kissing and he asked whether she was sure. Dex and Josslyn then began making love. Britt returned to The Haunted Star as Liesl was singing Happy Birthday to her beautiful daughter. Britt poured them a drink so they could make a toast. When she removed her jacket, Liesl noticed a scratch indicating Britt was hurt. Then, Britt fell to the floor.

Wednesday

Laura (Genie Francis) came to see Ava (Maura West) to see whether she could shed some light on why Nikolas (Marcus Coloma) seemed so afraid. “What does Victor have on him?” At GH, Spencer (Nicholas Chavez) pulled Nikolas aside and demanded to know whether Esme (Avery Kristen Pohl) was pregnant with his child. Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) asked Esme where she’s been hiding these last six months. Scott (Kin Shriner) came to Kelly’s and was surprised to see Cameron (William Lipton) working on New Year’s Eve. Josslyn (Eden McCoy) told Dex (Evan Hofer) she felt safe with him. Britt (Kelly Thiebauld) passed out and fell to the floor. Liesl (Kathleen Gati) wanted to call 911. But Britt said it was too late. Josslyn told Dex she’ll never be okay with him working for Sonny (Maurice Benard). She received a text from Cameron saying they’d have a NYE do-over once he got off work. Spencer warned his father Nikolas’ secrets would come out. “Why do you keep calling me that?” Esme asked. Laura apologized to Ava for Nikolas not being a good husband. Josslyn told Dex she owed Cameron the courtesy of a conversation before moving on with someone else. Because a killer was loose, Dex said he’d drive her but promised to stay out of sight. When she started coughing up blood, Britt told Liesl she’d been poisoned by a hook and returned to The Haunted Star because she didn’t want to die alone. Liesl wanted to drive her to GH. But Britt said there wasn’t time and asked Liesl to hold her like she never got to hold Nathan. As Liesl spoke to her, Britt drifted away. TJ (Taj Bellows) went in to examine her. Esme acted shocked to learn she was pregnant and said she didn’t know her name. Elizabeth and Nikolas panicked that Esme would talk and they’d be arrested. Nikolas called Ava to tell her Esme was at GH being questioned by the police. He urged her to come so they could get their story straight. Dante came out of Esme’s room and announced she didn’t have any memory. Spencer told Dante not to believe Esme because she is a liar. Josslyn told Cameron that things have changed and although she would always love him, she wasn’t in love with him any longer. She wanted them to still be friends. But Cameron told her he didn’t want to be her friend now or maybe even ever because he was in love with her. At GH, Scott found Liesl sitting in the waiting room. She told him Britt was gone. Ava and Laura arrived at GH. When a fetal monitor was wheeled into Esme’s room, Ava confronted Nikolas asking whether he was the father. When he answered yes, she slapped him. Scott called Nina (Cynthia Watros) and told her something terrible had happened. Liesl came to see Britt for the last time. She told her daughter how proud she was of her and to be her mother.

Thursday

Felicia (Kristina Wagner) came to the Quartermaine stables to see Cody (Josh Kelly), who told her how he rang in the new year by helping a filly give birth. Felicia told him Mac (John J. York) tried to call him last night. She gave him the sad news that Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebauld) died last night. Nina (Cynthia Watros) stopped a photographer from taking Maxie’s (Kristen Storms) picture. Austin (Roger Howarth) found Liesl (Kathleen Gati) packing up at Britt’s office. Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) was in the interrogation room at the PCPD questioning Nikolas (Marcus Coloma) about his relationship with Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl). At GH, Esme woke up to find Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) in her hospital room and herself handcuffed to the bed. At Spring Ridge, Ryan (Jon Lindstrom) commented to Heather (Alley Mills) how he couldn’t see it before. “It was you,” Ryan said. At The Bistro, Curtis (Donnell Turner) offered his support to Portia (Brooke Kerr) who was upset about Britt’s death. Curtis said he was grateful for Portia and gave her a plant to signify renewal for the New Year. Cody told Felicia how he used Britt to get what he wanted and realized too late what he wanted was her. Brad (Parry Shen) and Maxie were confused why Britt wanted so badly for them to be but decided the best way to honor her memory was to give her what she wanted. Maxie also wanted to make things easier for Liesl by choosing Britt’s final outfit for her memorial. Austin told Liesl how Britt had planned to leave town for good after her party. He added helping to save someone was a badass way to go out. Dante accused Nikolas of being Esme’s accomplice as a seven month pregnant woman couldn’t have committed the crimes she was accused of alone. Nikolas said Dante was off in his speculation. But Dante said if that was wrong, why did Nikolas seem worried? When Kevin (also Lindstrom) entered her hospital room, Esme said she knew him. He explained he was Dr. Collins, a psychiatrist. He asked whether she remembered Nikolas and Spencer Cassadine or his twin brother Ryan. Martin (Michael E. Knight) entered and announced he was Ms. Prince’s court appointed attorney. He apologized to Kevin (his brother-in-law) saying it wasn’t his choice then asked everyone to leave the room so he could speak with his client alone. He told Esme she was being accused of murder in the first degree. “Confess so our daughter can go free” Ryan urged Heather. He then told her that their baby was having a baby. Heather was happy she’d finally get to be a grandmother and assured Ryan she would take care of everything. Nina told Brad and Maxie about Britt having Huntington’s Disease. Brad was sad Britt didn’t confide in him. Nikolas told Martin he pulled strings to get him appointed as Esme’s attorney because they were family. Nina arrived at Britt’s office to meet her Aunt Liesl who was nowhere in sight. Wearing a lab cab, Liesl entered Esme’s hospital room and told her it could be arranged to give her something.

Friday

Nina (Cynthia Watros) looked through Britt’s (Kelly Thiebauld) belongings not noticing Willow’s (Katelyn MacMuellen) medical file. Wiley, Michael (Chad Duell) and Willow took a break from the cold in the Quartermaine stables. Drew (Cameron Mathison) couldn’t believe Josiah can’t be found. Josslyn (Eden McCoy) was surprised to find Dex (Evan Hofer) in her house with Carly (Laura Wright). Spencer (Nicholas Chavez) came to Kelly’s and asked Cameron (William Lipton) for advice on being a big brother. At GH, Nikolas (Marcus Coloma) wanted to get in to see Esme (Avery Kristen Pohl). But Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) warned seeing her might jog Esme’s memory. Liesl (Kathleen Gati) entered Esme’s hospital room and said she was there for her pound of flesh. Drew took Wiley to see the new hoSonny arrived at Britt’s office and his guy Frank carried Britt’s box to Nina’s car. When Sonny asked whether Liesl knew Esme was at GH. Nina rushed out of the room to stop her Aunt Liesl. Spencer told Cameron how Esme was pregnant with his father’s baby. Liesl realized Esme was pregnant. Carly told Josslyn that Britt died from a scratch after being poisoned by the hook. Josslyn said it was her fault and explained how she was the intended victim and Britt saved her. Dex told Carly they asked Britt to keep Josslyn’s identity secret because he was packing a gun Sonny gave him that was probably unregistered. Josslyn asked Dex to leave so she could talk with her mother. Drew asked Willow what she remembered about her visit to Josiah. Sonny decked Nikolas when he told him he was the father of Esme’s baby. Nina convinced Liesl not to kill Esme and her baby. Willow explained Harmony cut ties with Josiah when they joined Dawn of Day. Drew encouraged Britt to stay positive. “Believe me I am holding on to hope with both hands. I’m determined to be there for this baby and to watch Wiley grow up.” Nina tried to talk Liesl out of killing Esme. Nina warned if Liesl kills Esme before it was proven she’s the hook killer, that would make Esme the martyr and her the villain again. “Do you think that’s what Britt would have wanted for you?” Nina asked. Josslyn told Carly about her altercation with the hook. “Britt saved my life and it cost her hers,” Josslyn said. Sonny came to Kelly’s and told Spencer and Cameron that Britt Westbourne was the victim of the latest hook attack. Nikolas told a cop he wouldn’t beNina and Liesl left GH. Josslyn told Carly after the attack that Britt called the police. Then Dex took her back to his apartment and then she broke up with Cameron. Sonny told Spencer and Cameron how Britt died saving someone else from the attack. Spencer asked for a minute to process things. Liesl told Nina she never finished clearing out Britta’s office. Willow received a call from Dr. Randolph and asked Terry (Cassandra James) whether she had her test results if the chemo was working. Elizabeth told Nikolas they needed to remain steadfast. Sonny told Spencer he could come back home with him. Carly reminded Josslyn she always needed to know when she was in danger. Esme woke up and tried to tell Elizabeth about that doctor. Elizabeth told her she was having a nightmare and needed to get some rest. Nina urged her Aunt Liesl to get some rest. Nina didn’t notice Willow’s medical file among Britt’s box of things. Willow told Drew and Michael that Dr. Randolph called to tell her she matched someone on the registry. “I’m going to live,” Willow said, hugging Michael.
