A weekly column highlighting the Port Charles happenings during the past week on General Hospital. Read below to find out what you missed or to refresh your memory in time for next week.

Monday

Chase (Josh Swickward) was at Volonino’s Gym punching the bag when Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) appeared. She commented that maybe Chase won’t have the energy to fight her. Carly (Laura Wright) told Josslyn (Eden McCoy) her dad heard what was going on in Port Charles and wanted her to come visit him in Sydney. At GH, Willow (Katelyn MacMuellen) and Michael (Chad Duell) were awaiting to learn the sex of their baby. Nina (Cynthis Watros) and Sonny (Maurice Benard) arrived at the Jerome Gallery. Nina was frantic because Ava never came home last night so she called Nikolas (Marcus Coloma) to see whether she was at Wyndemere. Ava told Nina that Nikolas made sure Wyndemere wasn’t her home anymore. Nikolas bombarded Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) at GH but because her shift had just begun, Elizabeth told him he had a long wait before they could talk. Carly told Josslyn how she didn’t feel comfortable with her involvement with Dex (Evan Hofer). Josslyn told Carly that Spencer (Nicholas Chavez) was released from prison and after what he did, she wouldn’t be seeing much of Dex anymore. Ava told Nina that Nikolas slept with Elizabeth who is pregnant. Ava was angry that people would know her man child of a husband couldn’t keep it in his pants. Chase told Brook Lynn they were done both personally and professionally. At Charlie’s, Drew (Cameron Mathison) and Alexis (Nancy Grahan) realized Denise’s story about Joan wasn’t true. Phyllis (Joyce Guy) approached to refill their coffee and commented how Harmony tried to recreate history every time she saw her. Dr. Navarro performed the sonogram and told Michael and Willow they were having a girl. Dex and Sonny arrived at Carly’s. When he learned Carly was going to meet Michael and Willow, who were learning the sex of their baby today, Sonny asked Dex to stay with Josslyn so she wouldn’t be alone. Nina came to Charlie’s. Phyllis told her how she’s been texting and seeing someone. Elizabeth realized she was in too deep to get out from the lie she and Niklolas are keeping by hiding Esme (Avery Kristen Pohl) until she gives birth. Brook Lynn told Chase she’ll have papers drawn up dissolving their partnership. As Elizabeth was about to leave the GH chapel, Ava walked in. Denise entered Charlie’s and ran into Drew. Carly arrived just in time to hear Drew say everything Denise told him about Willow’s mother was a lie.

Tuesday

“You will be” Ava said when Elizabeth told her she was sorry. Spencer (Nicholas Chavez) checked his cellphone but there wasn’t another text from Trina (Tabyana Ali). At Volonino’s Gym, Sam (Kelly Monaco) told Cody (Josh Kely) that Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) didn’t come home last night. “Looks like we have a serial killer on our hands” Dante said to Mac (John J. York) told him snake venom was found in Rory’s (Michael Kruse) blood. “Stop denying yourself what you really need” Dex (Evan Hofer) told Josslyn (Eden McCoy). Carly (Laura Wright) arrived at Charlie’s in time to hear Drew (Cameron Mathison) accuse Denise of lying and demanded to know who she was protecting. Ava warns Elizabeth she and Nikolas (Marcus Coloma) will feel pain. Cody called Mac and told him Sam was worried because Dante never came home last night. Nina (Cynthia Watros) told Phyllis (Joyce Guy) about working with Carly to help when Willow got sick. Carly “introduced herself” to Denise and said if Denise told Drew the truth, she’d make it worth her while. So, Denise lied to Lorraine and her husband already had the baby when they arrived on the commune and always appeared to be looking over her shoulder. Josslyn told Dex he didn’t mean anything to her before he left. After Denise left, Carly went outside to return her gloves. She handed Denise the gloves along with a stack of bills and asked whether she was telling the truth about Harmony always looking over her shoulder when she was on the commune. While Elizabeth was telling Ava she lost the baby, Nikolas was telling Spencer about having an affair with Elizabeth resulting in her pregnancy. Spencer angrily told his father he didn’t think it possible to think any less of him, adding once his sentence was over he was moving out somewhere far away from him. When Elizabeth called him with an update on her run in with Ava, Nikolas reminded there was no going back now. Ava ran into Nina outside Kelly’s and told her about Elizabeth’s miscarriage. Although still furious with Nikolas, Ava said how could she confront him when he just lost his child. Drew told Carly his theory that Harmony stole Willow from her biological parents. And somewhere out there, a woman was mourning the loss of her child.

Wednesday

At the Quartermaine mansion, Leo and Wiley opened Christmas presents. Maxie (Kristen Storms) and Austin (Roger Howarth) ran into each other at the park. Alexis (Nancy Grahan) was glad Spencer (Nicholas Chavez) was spending Christmas with her. Trina (Tabyana Ali) came downstairs to find the living decorated with several Christmas trees. Portia (Brooke Kerr) told her daughter they wanted to do something special for her. Gregory (Gregory Harrison) told Finn (Michael Easton) and Chase (Josh Swickward) he knew they both had a lot going on in their lives but Violet (Jophelle Love) was expecting a Merry Christmas. Brooke Lynn (Amanda Setton) received confirmation that “it was done” and told the person on the phone she owed them and would pay them back. Kristina (Lexi Ainsworth) opened her Christmas gifts from Molly (Haley Puollos). Spencer asked Alexis if he was destined to become like his father. Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) told Wiley they found out the baby in mommy’s stomach was a little girl and he would have a baby sister. Michael asked how he felt about that. “I can’t wait!” Wiley said excitedly. Drew (Cameron Mathison) told Carly (Laura Wright) maybe it was time they told Willow her birth mother was alive. Trina sadly told Josslyn (Eden McCoy) Rory would still be alive if he never met her. Josslyn told Trina that Rory wouldn’t want her blaming herself and would want her to be happy. Austin apologized for his mistakes. Maxie told Austin they weren’t destined to be together. They had an amicable breakfast with a hug and Austin wishing her a Merry Christmas. Since Chase didn’t want to perform, Brook Lynn suggested Ned (Wally Kurth) sing in his place which got a chuckle from Olivia (Lisa LoCierco). Curtis gave Portia a Metro Court spa gift package and Marshall (Robert Gossett) a Jazz music collection, which his father called a blast from the past. Trina decorated a holiday ornament with Rory’s name saying it was important to keep his memory alive. Alexis urged Spencer to find something that was important to him and he’d be happy, adding he had to live his own separate life away from the dysfunctional Cassadines. Dante (Dominica Zamprogna) came over to tell Chase that the CCRB decided to reexamine his case at their spring meeting. Chase commented he thought it was a done deal. Dante said Brook Lynn must have gotten her letter to them and could be very convincing. Curtis was touched when Marshall gave him a photo of their last Christmas as a family when Curtis was a little boy. Brook Lynn ran into Chase at the park. Josslyn swerved on the road. Drew gave Carly a Jacksonville keyring to remember their time in Florida. He told her she’d find out later the door the attache key opened. Trina opened her front door and was surprised to see who was on the other side. “Spencer,” she said. “Merry Christmas,” Spencer said.

Thursday

Chase (Josh Swickward) asked Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) what she did to get the CCRB to review his case in the spring. Nina (Cynthia Watros) was dressed as Mrs. Claus and Sasha (Sofia Mattesson) her elf. Sonny (Maurice Benard) appeared with Donna, who gave her a Christmas present. Carly (Laura Wright) was surprised when Ava (Maura West) brought Avery (Ava and Grace Scarola) over. Spencer (Nicholas Chavez) told Trina (Tabyana Ali) he could leave if she wanted. At Spring Ridge, Heather (Allie Mills) vowed to Ryan (Jon Lindstrom) they’d make everyone who hurt their little girl pay. Esme (Avery Kristen Pohl) sang Jingle Hell, which was Jingle Bells with her own lyrics substituted. Nikolas (Marcus Coloma) entered drinking from a flask. He taunted Esme that she didn’t have anyone who cared about her. Josslyn (Eden McCoy) was on the side of the road trying to change her tire. A car approached. Then, Dex (Evan Hofer) walked up. Trina asked Spencer to take off his shoes. Carly suggested Ava stay and have hot chocolate with her and Avery. Nina loved the homemade ornament Donna made. Mac (John J. York) was disappointed his ugly sweater didn’t win a ribbon. Blaze and Chase sang their song at the Gingerbread Jam. Mac told Sam (Kelly Monaco), Dante and Felicia (Kristina Wagner) forensics identified the earring Rory had as belonging to one of Ryan Chamberlain’s victims from thirty years ago. So, they left for Spring Ridge. Heather gave Ryan a Christmas present. Carly told Avery as she was too young for a cellphone, she brought her something else: walkie talkies. After Avery left the room, Ava told Carly she and Nikolas were divorcing because he cheated on her multiple times. Before Ava left with Avery, Carly wished they all have a better year next year. Donna told Sasha her Christmas wish was for Sasha to have a Happy New Year. Dex and Josslyn kissed again. Chase reminded Brook Lynn that he’s honoring their contract by singing but that’s as far as it goes. Before Heather could open the present she got Ryan, Mac, Dante and Felicia entered. Mac showed Ryan the earring found on Rory. It was proof for Mac of a connection between suspected hook killer Esme and Chamberlain. Carly thanked Dex for bringing Josslyn home. Spencer’s plan to bring Esme out of hiding was to use himself as bait. Trina said the plan had potential but was missing something…her. Trina thought if they pretended to be a couple that would be too much for Esme to resist. They shook hands in agreement. Trina told Spencer he did make her feel a little better before he left.

Friday

Austin (Roger Howarth) and Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) cleared away the discarded wrapping paper and boxes. He thanked Olivia (Lisa LoCierco) for letting him stay the night. Ned (Wally Kurth) asked his wife whether they’ll have enough food for guests. “There’s always room for one more,” Olivia said. Cody (Josh Kelly) arrived. Liesl (Kathleen Gati) assured Britt (Kelly Thiebauld) Huntington’s or not she’ll celebrate many more Christmases to come. Sonny (Maurice Benard) was surprised to find Sasha (Sofia Mattsson) at the garage working on a motorcycle. Cameron (William Lipton) told Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) that Josslyn (Eden McCoy) wouldn’t be coming over because her car was still acting up. Laura (Genie Francis) arrived at the police commissioner’s office. She and Jordan (Tanisha Harper) talked about the storm that hit Port Charles and Harborview Drive and the roads in and around the city were completely covered. Laura commented there will be a lot of unhappy people this Christmas. Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) and Georgie were in Portland with Ellie (Emily Wilson). Maxie (Kristen Storms) panicked when her flight was canceled as she realized she won’t be with Georgie on Christmas. Because Cody couldn’t get to the PC Grill, Olivia invited him to join them for dinner. Liesl encouraged Britt to live each day as though it was her first. Sonny rolled up his sleeves to help Sasha fix Brando’s bike since it was his New Year’s Resolution to complete by 2023. Maxie called Georgie and told her how her flight was canceled and she wouldn’t make it there until tomorrow. An upset Georgie told her since tomorrow wasn’t Christmas she didn’t need to bother. Ellie realized Spinelli had fallen for Maxie again. Liesl encouraged Maxie to find another way to Port Charles. Nina (Cynthia Watros) told Maxie there was a private airport hangar so if she knew anyone with a private plane, she could get to Portland. Maxie called Brook Lynn. After explaining the situation, Maxie asked Brook Lynn whether the Quartermaines had a plane at the hangar. Brook Lynn told Austin what was going on so he called Mason and asked for the use of a boat to take Maxie to Canada. Scott called Elizabeth resilient and said she’d always be a Baldwin. Olivia invited TJ (Taj Bellows), Molly (Haley Pullos) and a pregnant woman who was part of a live nativity scene to join them for dinner. Unfortunately her homemade spicy lasagna sauce causes the pregnant woman to go into labor. Olivia encouraged doctors TJ and Austin to work together to deliver the baby. When he realized the baby had turned and was now breached, Austin told Cody they needed an obgyn. Cody called Britt. But she thought he was drunk on eggnog when he said the Virgin Mary was about to give birth. Austin got on the phone and explained the situation. Elizabeth thanked Laura and Scott for always being there for her. Britt and Sasha arrived by motorcycle. Britt delivered the baby girl, who her mother named Britta Noel. Jordan arrived with the EMT. Ned invited everyone to stay and celebrate Christmas with them. Maxie arrived in Canada but flights to Portland were canceled. She was happy when Spinelli and Georgie appeared. Spinelli explained they flew to Canada and he planned on driving to Port Charles. Being with her daughter on Christmas was the best present Maxie could have asked for. Ellie got a call from the man she’s been seeing…Griffin Munro. Sonny arrived at Nina’s with a wreath.
