A weekly column highlighting the Port Charles happenings during the past week on General Hospital. Read below to find out what you missed or to refresh your memory in time for next week.

Monday

Spencer (Nicolas Chavez) told Sonny (Maurice Benard) he needed to get a house asap. Nikolas (Marcus Coloma) was looking at the divorce settlement papers when Laura (Genie Francis) arrived. Carolyn (Denise Crosby) arrived at Kelly’s and told Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) she was in Port Charles for a medical conference and hoped to reconcile with her daughter. A patient at Spring Ridge told Esme (Avery Kristen Pohl) she was sitting in her seat and ordered her to get up. Sam (Kelly Monaco) told Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) she wanted to go to Spring Ridge with him. Ava (Maura West) walked in to see Austin (Roger Howarth) and Mason having an altercation . She remembered Mason, saying he was there when she was stabbed. Cameron (William Lipton) was shocked when Dex (Evan Hofer) opened the door of Josslyn’s (Eden McCoy) dorm and Josslyn was standing there in her robe. He asked whether Joss was with Dex now and if he was the reason they broke up. Sam asked Dante whether she could come to Spring Ridge with him and ask Esme Prince some questions. Ava remembered seeing Mason and Austin arguing at the Quartermaine picnic and hinted the police could have gotten it wrong when they said a woman was the hook killer. Mason assured it wasn’t him…he wasn’t even from Port Charles and only came to town to visit his cousin. Then, Mason left. Spencer told Sonny his plan of suing for full custody of Esme’s baby because neither she or his father is capable of raising a child. He said Diane (Carolyn Henessey) said she would take his case so he planned to get a house and hire a live-in-nanny. Sonny didn’t think Spencer was ready to raise a child. Heather held her homemade weapon to the woman Ramona’s ribs and told her to spread the word that Esme was under her protection. When the baby kicked, Heather attempted to touch Esme’s stomach to feel the baby kick. But Esme said maybe she could when they knew each other better. Elizabeth commented she couldn’t understand how her mother could accept her father’s cheating. Dex left so Cameron and Josslyn could speak alone. Cameron asked Josslyn whether she at least waited until they broke up before sleeping with Dex. Josslyn explained how she came to Kelly’s to break up with him when she was attacked by the hook, adding although Britt (Kelly Thiebauld) fought off the hook she didn’t leave until Dex arrived. “Sorry I interrupted your hook up, ” Cameron said. Sam and Dante arrived at Spring Ridge. Sam introduced herself to Esme as a PI. She said she didn’t believe Esme was the hook killer. Sam told Esme she wanted to help her find her nanny Maggie Fitzgerald. When he said he wanted full custody of his child, Laura told Nikolas she believes Esme has a right to raise her child and see what kind of mother she’d be. Laura had to leave when she received a call. Then, she asked why Esme thought Spencer was her baby’s father. Dex interrupted Sonny and Spencer’s conversation needing to speak with his boss. Josslyn begged Cameron not to tell anyone of her and Dex. Esme told Heather how Sam was going to help find her former nanny Maggie who knew who her father was. Laura met Elizabeth at Kelly’s. Elizabeth told her that her mother was in town. Carolyn arrived at Wyndemere. “Thanks for coming” Nikolas greeted her with a smile.

Tuesday

“You asked me to stay away from Josslyn…I couldn’t” Dex told Sonny (Maurice Benard). Josslyn (Eden McCoy) begged Cameron (William Lipton) not to tell Sonny about her and Dex. At Kelly’s, Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) and Laura (Genie Francis) talked about why Carolyn was really in Port Charles. Nikolas (Marcus Coloma) told Carolyn if she cared about her daughter “You’ll do exactly what I say.” Anna (Finola Hughes) told Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) they are running out of time to find Lucy (Lynn Herring). Sam (Kelly Monaco) and Maxie (Kristen Storms) were at The Savoy. Maxie told Sam that Britt (Kelly Thiebauld) had Huntington’s Disease. Sam told Maxie she and Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) were working together to uncover the hook. Dex told Sonny about saving Josslyn when she was attacked on New Year’s Eve. “Why am I just hearing about this now?” Sonny demanded. Josslyn told Cameron that Sonny would have Dex killed if he knew they were seeing each other. Cameron refused to lie to save the life of Josslyn’s new boyfriend. He added their friendship was dead, adding she killed it. Cameron told Josslyn that as what goes around comes around he’s waiting for the day her new boyfriend cheated on her. Dex told Sonny he didn’t tell him sooner because he was worried about Ms. Reeves’ (Cynthia Watros) daughter. He explained he took Josslyn back to his apartment because she was shaken up and she stayed a couple hours before he brought her back home. “That still doesn’t let you off the hook,” Sonny said. “Does he mean so much that you’re willing to compromise yourself and expect me to do the same?” Cameron asked Josslyn. Sam told Maxie about her investigation of Esme’s nanny Maggie Fitzgerald. “You and the man you love are going to England, it’s exciting” Maxie said. Nikolas told Carolyn about Esme’s situation, omitting some relevant details. “It’s better for your daughter if this poor young woman never gets her memory back.” Renee wanted to pick up where they left off. But Valentin told Renee the job came first. Josslyn told Cameron she’s going to have to give Dex a heads up if he didn’t want to keep her and Dex seeing each other secret. Dex told Sonny he retrieved the shell casing but gave Sonny back the gun, saying he understood if Sonny didn’t trust him with it anymore. Sonny thanked Dex for helping Josslyn…he said Dex would go far. Cameron told Josslyn he was going back to his normal, boring job and that she and her mobster boyfriend’s secret was safe because unlike her honesty meant something. Then, Cameron left. Valentin asked Renee whether they were any closer because they’d been walking for hours. She said they had at least a mile left to go. Valentin turned around and realized Anna wasn’t with them and said they had to go back. Renee thought they should take advantage of Anna’s absence. When she finally caught up, Anna asked what was going on. Josslyn called Dex and told him about her confrontation with Cameron. She added she believed their secret was safe though. Dex said he told Sonny about saving her on New Year’s Eve and taking her back to his place but not what happened there and Sonny believed him…so they were okay. But Sonny called someone (probably Brick) to ask for a check on Dex. Elizabeth almost told Laura about helping Nikolas with Esme (Avery Kristen Pol) but they were interrupted when Cameron returned to Kelly’s. Nikolas told Carolyn she would be helping save her daughter. Anna and Valentin finally found Lucy (Lynn Herring).

Wednesday

Laura (Genie Francis) ran into Trina (Tabyana Ali) and Spencer (Nicholas Chavez) as she left Kelly’s. Spencer told Trina how Josslyn (Eden McCoy) screwed Cameron over. Carly (Laura Wright) came to her daughter’s dorm because of Josslyn’s call. Josslyn told her she messed up. Drew (Cameron Mathison) was arm wrestling with Wiley and letting the little boy win. Martin (Michael E. Knight) was sitting at the bar at The Metro Court when Laura entered with Charlotte. Laura invited Martin to join them. Victor (Charles Shaughnessy) was on the phone with his henchman. Charlotte tried to avoid her grandfather but Victor saw her. She confronted him about sending her to a school in Switzerland and keeping her away from her papa. Anna (Finola Hughes) and Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) found Lucy (Lynn Herring) and said they’d get her out. Laura wondered whether they should consider Cyrus’ (Jeff Kober) suggestion to work together to bring Victor down. Trina and Spencer came inside Kelly’s where Trina learned Josslyn broke up with Cameron (William Lipton). Trina asked why she was just hearing about this just now when it happened on New Year’s Eve. Cameron reminded them since Esme was in Spring Ridge, they didn’t need to pretend to be a couple anymore. After Cameron left the room, Trina and Spencer said they still had to pretend to be a couple since if Esme isn’t the hook, there was someone out there still targeting her. When the subject changed to Esme and Nikolas’ baby, Trina said that Spencer’s dad was the child’s only option if Esme went to prison. “What about me?” Spencer asked, posing another option. Josslyn told Carly how she destroyed her friendship with Cameron forever because he found her and Dex (Evan Hofer) in a state of undress after they slept together. She expressed her worry Sonny (Maurice Benard) would have Dex killed when he found out. Carly talked about how she was around the same age when she met Jason (Steve Burton) and how she was attracted to him and his love of danger. She warned Josslyn she was going down a similar road with Dex. Olivia (Lisa LoCierco) arrived at the gatehouse. After Wiley left the room, Drew told Olivia how Carly knew Nina (Cynthia Watros) was Willow’s (Katelyn MacMuellen) mother and kept it from him. Olivia told Drew he knows who Carly is and how deeply she feels about things and thought she was doing the right thing. Drew said he didn’t know how he could get past Carly lying to him. Carly urged Josslyn to always come to her with the truth. She told Josslyn that Drew was angry with her for keeping secret that Nina was Willow’s mother. Anna and Valentin pulled down the grate and worked to free Lucy. Suddenly, Renee pulled out her gun and said they weren’t going anywhere. She called in Victor’s henchmen. Victor was put on speaker and told Valentin since he was holding out hope to have a relationship as father and son, he wouldn’t have him killed. He asked his henchmen to take Lucy and Valentin to the location they discussed and get rid of Ms. Devane. But Anna was one step ahead and knew Renee would betray them, so she set off explosives in the catacombs which would soon fill up with water. She and Valentin knocked out Renee and the henchmen. “I hope you can hold your breath under water,” Anna said to Renee. Drew opened the door when Carly arrived at the gatehouse. Charlotte told Laura her worry that her grandfather Victor did something and she’d never see her papa again. With the aid of breathing tubes, Lucy, Anna and Valentin emerged unscathed from the water soaked tunnel. Lucy wanted to call Martin but Valentin told her she couldn’t. “Because as far as the world knows, we’re already dead,” Valentin said.

Thursday

Sonny (Maurice Bernard) tried to get Nina (Cynthia Watros) to eat something. But she was nervous and worried whether her test results will say she is a bone marrow match for Willow (Katelyn MacMuellen). Michael (Chad Duell) was trying to keep Willow calm. Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) was surprised to see her father at GH. She told him not to say anything to upset Michael. Mac (John J. York) and Felicia (Kristina Wagner) arrived at The Savoy. Mac was concerned when he saw Cody (Joshua Bell) with Selina Wu (Lydia Look) at the bar. Sasha (Sofia Mattesson) came by to offer Nina some support. Nikolas (Marcus Coloma) brought the settlement papers to Ava (Maura West) while she was at The Metro Court bar. He told her he agreed to everything she wanted. Nikolas asked Ava to hear him out. Spencer told Trina he was going to sue for full custody of Esme’s baby. Trina reminded he’s young and being a father to a baby would be hard. Especially if he ever expected to have a social life because people may not want to be friends or date a man with a child. Spencer asked whether Trina felt that way. Trina admitted she’s seen a change in him so she’s had to rethink her feelings. Carly again tried to explain to Drew her reasons for keeping the secret Nina was Willow’s father. Drew said she could never lie to him in the future, adding he still wanted a future with her. Ned (Wally Kurth) told Michael no matter what was going on with them in business, they were still family. Selina came to Gladys (Bonnie Burroughs) at her table at The Savoy and reminded her of her debt. Gladys said she’d make good on it after the sale of her son’s garage. Cody watched the exchange and remembered Sasha telling him about her mother-in-law Gladys. Selina later told him Gladys’ last name was Corbin and she was involved in Deception. Nina learned she wasn’t a bone marrow marker for Willow because she didn’t have the correct genetic markers. Drew and Carly made love. Sonny comforted Nina who broke down outside GH at her cruel fate in not being able to save her daughter. She cried she wouldn’t survive losing another child.

Friday

Carly (Laura Wright) woke up in bed with Drew (Cameron Mathison) who said he was ridiculously happy. Victor (Charles Shaughnessey) was on the phone getting updated about the tunnel flood in the catacombs. He asked whether his son, Lucy (Lynn Herring) and Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) have been found. He didn’t care how unstable or dangerous the catacombs were…he wanted his son found. Martin (Michael E. Knight) was on the elevator thinking about Lucy and looking at her photo on his cellphone. When the elevator door opened, he asked the person on the other side why they;ve been ignoring his calls. Alexis (Nancy Grahan) approached Victor. He told her he’d taken a room at The Metro Court because Nikolas (Marcus Coloma) gave Ava (Maura West) Wyndemere in the divorce settlement. Nina (Cynthia Watros) told Ava if it was up to Carly she would have never known Willow (Katelyn MacMuellen) was her daughter. Willow awoke to find Michael (Chad Duell) sitting by her hospital bed. She asked him to never leave. Nina told Ava she wouldn’t rest until she made Carly pay for what she’s done. Drew and Carly basked in the afterglow of their lovemaking. Laura (Genie Francis) approached Alexis and Victor and said to Victor “I hope you’re happy…Valentin is dead.” A blindfolded Martin was led by Felicia (Kristina Wagner) and Robert (Tristan Rogers) to a remote cabin. Anna opened the door. Martin was happy when the blindfold was removed and Lucy rushed into his arms. They shared a kiss to make up for lost time. “Get a room you two,” Robert said. Lucy took Martin by the hand and dragged him to the other room. Nina told Ava how Carly has robbed her of time she could have spent with her daughter. Terry told Michael and Willow another treatment option was to harvest stem cells from the umbilical cord and placenta after the baby was born. But Willow was still uncertain about having the baby be born early. Anna revealed Alexis and Laura were let in on the plan. And Laura knew exactly what to say to Charlotte. Lucy told Martin that when she thought she was going to die her life flashed in front of her and she thought she had to survive to see him again. Carly brought Wiley to visit Willow. When they went out into the hall, Michael told his mother he was working on them being okay again. He also said there was another option besides a bone marrow transplant to save Willow’s life. Alexis told Laura to leave Victor to her. But when Alexis asked him how he was holding up, Victor said he refused to accept his son was gone. Felicia said Valentin was part of the team because of Anna but warned what would happen if he hurt her friend. Ava called Dimitris and told him she wanted Nikolas out of the house but wouldn’t be moving in right away because she was needed there. Nina arrived at GH for Britt’s (Kelly Thiebauld) memorial service and saw Drew and Carly sharing a hug. Michael returned to Willow’s room and a nurse took Wiley to get some apple juice. Willow agreed to the baby being born early. Michael said someday they’d be able to tell their daughter how she saved mommy’s life.
