A weekly column highlighting the Port Charles happenings during the past week on General Hospital. Read below to find out what you missed or to refresh your memory in time for next week.

Monday

Devon, England. Sam (Kelly Monaco) and Dante ( Dominic Zamprogna) arrived at an inn to begin their search for Maggie Fitzgerald. Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) asked Michael (Chad Duell) to marry her, adding she didn’t want to marry in the hospital chapel. She wanted to go home and perhaps they could marry at the Quartermaine mansion. Liesl (Kathleen Gati) pulled the Stop button when she found herself on the elevator with Carly (Laura Wright). “Alone at last,” Liesl told Carly. Josslyn (Eden McCoy) commented on Dex (Evan Hofer) showing up at the wedding wearing a tuxedo. He said Sonny (Maurice Benard) asked him to work security so he thought he should look the part to blend it. He asked whether he looked good enough to be seen with her. Laura (Genie Francis) ran into Ava (Maura West) at the wedding and asked whether she was thinking about Nikolas (Adam Huss). Finn (Michael Easton) was glad to see Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) at the wedding. Liesl berated Carly for keeping secret Willow was Nina’s daughter for months that Nina could have spent time with her daughter. Liesl asked Carly to help convince Willow to give Nina a chance so they could have a relationship for whatever time Willow had left. Portia (Brooke Kerr) ordered Jordan (Tanisha Harper) to leave. Jordan told Portia that Stella (Vernee Watson) also knew her secret and while Jordan would keep quiet because it wasn’t her secret to tell, could she guarantee Stella would do the same? Portia said it was Jordan’s fault because she wanted Curtis (Donnell Turner) back and would be happy if the wedding didn’t take place. Jordan reminded Portia that secrets always have a way of coming out. Trina (Tabyana Ali) introduced Spencer (Nicholas Chavez) to her grandfather Dr. Sterling Robinson and her Uncle Zeke, who she called ‘The coolest Uncle in the world.’ When they went outside and he saw Dex talking with Josslyn, Spencer ordered Dex to leave. Nina asked Drew whether Carly would be joining him at the wedding. Willow and Michael told Carly they were getting married. After Michael left the room, Carly said she had a favor to ask. Elizabeth told Terry (Cassandra James) how she was struggling with a decision and now that it has been made, she has more clarity. Curtis came to the bridal room and told Portia how much he loved her and was happy to begin their new life together. He left before she had the chance to tell him the truth. Sam and Dante decided to tell Maggie they came because Esme (Avery Kristen Pohl) needed her help.Liesl visited Willow. With Carly watching, Liesl told her grandniece how she came from a line of strong women and now that she was one of them, they’d be there for her. The wedding began with Sterling walking Portia down the aisle. Laura said how happy she was to be marrying Curtis and Portia. When she got to the part about if anyone could show just cause why the wedding shouldn’t take place, Portia remained torn to tell the truth.

Tuesday

Laura (Genie Francis) asked the question whether anyone knew any reason why Portia (Brooke Kerr) and Curtis (Donnell Turner) should be married. Portia thought about Jordan (Tanisha Harper) telling her to come clean with Curtis before they married. Stella (Vernee Watson) was reading her Bible when Jordan arrived. At Spring Ridge, Heather (Alley Mills) entered Ryan’s (Jon Lindstrom) room and gave him a Valentine’s Day card and told him the real Valentine gift was she found a way for the four of them to get out of there. Sam (Kelly Monaco) and Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) arrived at a pub with the hope of finding someone who knew Maggie Fitzgerald. Laura posed the same to Portia and Curtis when she got silence from the guests. When Portia and Curtis were also silent, Laura proceeded with the ceremony. Stella told Jordan she felt like a coward hiding out. Curtis and Portia exchanged vows. Portia looked over at Trina and the wedding guests and commented how it hit her that she was not just marrying him but his entire family. Laura pronounces Curtis and Portia husband and wife. Ryan asked who the fourth person was. Heather said she was talking about Esme. Ryan reminded a pregnant woman wouldn’t let her throw her in an SUV. When Heather gave him the homemade weapon, Ryan said it was her Plan B; in case they were caught Heather could say he forced her and Esme to escape. The bartender said she didn’t know an Esme Prince. And Maggie went by Marjorie. At The Metro Court, Drew happily introduced Mr. and Mrs. Ashford. Curtis and Portia entered and had their first dance. Nina (Cynthia Watros) told Sonny (Maurice Bernard) she wished someday she could dance at Willow’s (Katelyn MacMuellen) wedding. Finn (Marcus Coloma) and Elizabeth commented how people can make relationships complicated. Portia and Sterling shared a Father Daughter dance. Then, Trina and Taggert took to the dance floor. Curtis cut in and danced with Trina. Josslyn told Spencer although she didn’t think he was good enough for Trina, if he cared for her he should go for it. Josslyn asked Spencer to respect her choices too. Spencer asked Trina to dance and admitted he was pretending to be a couple. Trina thought about Stella and how she was missing the wedding. After Sam and Dante left, the bartender, who was revealed to be Maggie Fitzgerald, pulled out the box of Esme’s letters and commented how she warned her against trying to find her father. Sam and Dante believed the bartender knew more than she was letting on. Drew called out for Trina to make the toast as the maid of honor. But Trina wasn’t there and no one knew where she’d gone. Stella opened her hotel room door to Trina and Spencer.

Wednesday

Heather (Alley Mills) thought Ryan (Jon Lindstrom) was delaying escaping because of Ava (Maura West). Sam (Kelly Monaco) suggested to Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) he go back to the pub to find out what that barmaid was hiding. Maggie put Esme’s (Avery Kristen Pohl) letters in her purse. When Trina (Tabyana Ali) was nowhere to be found, Curtis (Donnell Turner) suggested they change plans about the maid of honor giving the toast. Trina asked Stella (Vernee Watson) whether she and Spencer (Nicholas Chavez) could come in. Spencer asked Stella how she was feeling. Trina noticed there was no room service tray with chicken noodle soup or a box of tissue. Stella said she just wanted a quiet evening alone. “I don’t understand. What would keep you from my mom and Curtis’ wedding?” Trina asked Stella. Curtis told the guest they’ll give the toasts later. But Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) said she had something to say so Curtis yielded the floor for her toast. Josslyn (Eden McCoy) approached Ava because she was recording video messages on her phone for Curtis and Portia. Ava said Portia should get everything in writing. But as that was too cynical, Ava gave a more poetic toast. Nina (Cynthia Watros) and Sonny (Maurice Benard) came up. While Nina checked on food, Sonny asked Ava to help take Nina’s mind off Willow (Katelyn MacMuellen). Ryan was annoyed and called her an idiot when Heather told him about talking with Felicia (Kristina Wagner). Heather explained how the Scorpio brothers and Felicia came to Spring Ridge for her to help give information on him. When he grabbed the weapon and held it against her throat, Heather laughed that the Ryan Chamberlain they all knew and loved was back…so now was the time to put their plan in motion. Stella told Spencer this was family business. Stella told Trina she couldn’t have attended the wedding in good conscience. Trina asked whether Stella was upset that her mom had an affair with Curtis. “Or do you think because she cheated on my dad she’ll cheat on Curtis?” Heather assured Esme she had nothing to worry about because it was all taken care of. Drew introduced Marshall who dedicated the song he played to Curtis and Portia. Sam suggested Dante talk with the barmaid alone without her. Stella told Trina keeping silent about a secret was something she’d never do again. “Aunt Stella I’m freaking out…is there something my mom doesn’t know about Curtis?” Trina asked. Stella told Trina it was Portia keeping the secret so Trina needed to ask her mom. When it was lights out, Heather offered to walk Esme back to her cell because she knew a short cut. Maggie took money from the register. Sonny told Ava how Laura was the only one worried about Nikolas (Adam Huss). Esme and Heather were stopped by a guard. When she dropped the keys, the guard demanded to know where she got them. Heather lied she found them in the breakroom. “Are they important?” Heather asked. Suddenly, the guard fell to the floor with Heather’s handmaid shiv in his back. “Hello Esme, road trip?” Ryan asked. A local woman at the inn told Sam the barmaid at the pub used to be a nanny in the States and her name is Margaret. Ryan returned to the pub as Maggie was leaving. Portia threw the bridal bouquet and it landed at the entering Trina’s feet. Portia said they were looking for her. Trina replied she was looking for answers and she intended to get them.

Thursday

“I’m looking to get some answers about Esme Prince,” Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) told Maggie. Esme (Avery Kristen Pohl) screamed seeing the guard with the shiv in his back. Heather (Alley Mills) covered her mouth and assured “It’s going to be alright.” Sonny (Maurice Benard) received a business text regarding the Pipeman Group deal. Trina (Tabyana Ali) was antagonistic towards Portia (Brooke Kerr) accusing her of keeping a secret from her. Ava (Maura West) texted Austin (Roger Howarth) to let know it was time to move Nikolas (Adam Huss). Maggie let Dante into the pub and offered him an ale. She grabbed a weapon from behind the bar and attempted to hit Dante with it. But he was able to block the attack. Sam (Kelly Monaco) entered and revealed to Dante the woman was Maggie Fitzgerald. They introduced themselves to Maggie and told them about the crimes Esme was accused of committing. Ryan told Esme she was his daughter then dressed as the guard and put the real guard in the chair in his room. Felicia (Kristina Wagner) told Mac (John J. York) she wanted to go to Spring Ridge to get information from Ryan. But Mac didn’t want her anywhere near Ryan so Felicia decided to see Ava. At Wyndemere, Ava told Austin she never meant to kill Nikolas but wouldn’t let anyone keep her from her daughter. Portia suggested she and Trina go up to her room and talk. Trina told her mother about her conversation with Stella and asked what her mother was keeping from her. Through tears, Portia explained about discovering she was pregnant after her affair with Curtis. “Is Curtis my father?” Trina asked. Downstairs, Curtis, Marshall (Robert Gossett) and Taggert (Real Andrews) cornered Spencer (Nicholas Chavez) demanding to know what was upsetting Trina. Spencer said it wasn’t his place to tell them excused himself. Mac stopped his car and offered the two women on the road help. He drew his gun and demanded they get down on the ground when he saw it was Esme and Heather. Before he could call for backup, Ryan hit him from behind. He wanted to finish Mac off. But Heather jumped in Scorpio’s car and told Ryan to come on. Trina told her mother she couldn’t look at her because Portia robbed her of her identity. Trina opened the door and Curtis and Taggert were standing there. Maggie told Sam and Dante that Esme’s father was the devil incarnate and then said his name was Ryan Chamberlain. Ava agreed to Felicia’s request to help get information from Ryan but said it would have to be in tomorrow because she had something to do tonight. Ava walked Felicia to the door and when they opened it, Ryan stood on the other side.

Friday

“Kevin?” Felicia asked when seeing Ryan (Jon Lindstrom) at the front door of Wyndemere door. “Think again” Ryan said, displaying his empty coat sleeve. Maggie told Sam (Kelly Monaco) and Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) that Esme’s (Avery Kristen Pohl) father is the real serial killer. Deputy Mayor Eileen Ashby didn’t like being summoned to The Metro Court just because she works with Victor (Charles Shaughnessy). Anna (Finola Hughes) helped Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) relax because he was getting tired of being cooped up in the house. Victor reminded Eileen she didn’t work with him…she works for him. Spencer (Nicholas Chavez) realized Trina (Tabyana Ali) was too busy to text him back. Trina told Portia she couldn’t look at her because she didn’t know who she was or who her mother was. When she opened the door to leave, Trina found Taggert (Real Andrews) and Curtis (Donnell Turner) at the door. Trina rushed into Taggert’s arms and cried that her mother told her she may not be his daughter. Jordan (Tanisha Harper) found Mac (John J. York) on the side of the road. “Two for the price of one…oh happy day” Ryan said pointing his gun at Ava and Felicia. Maggie told Sam and Dante how an Irish brooch belonging to Ryan’s first victim Connie Cooper was found pinned to the blanket that was on Esme when she was born. Mac sat on a gurney and told Jordan and Laura (Genie Francis) that Esme Prince and Heather Webber (Alley Mills) escaped from Spring Ridge. Ryan taunts Felicia about how he got rid of Mac. Spencer told Victor that Nikolas (Adam Huss) left town. Curtis confronted Portia about lying to his face when he asked whether he could be Trina’s father. Portia explained she isn’t sure and after he left her when he found out she was married and she discovered she was pregnant, she thought she’d never see him again. Plus, she wanted to repair her marriage and Taggert was trying hard to be an attentive husband. Laura was surprised to see Eileen at GH. She asked her to address the press outside about Esme and Heather’s escape but not to give names. Eileen called Victor and told him Esme escaped Spring Ridge. When his Uncle Victor told him about Esme’s escape, Spencer was immediately worried about Trina. Taggert told Trina she’s his daughter and would always be. Mac called Felicia and Ryan answered. He warned Mac if any cops came after him, Felicia was dead. Technology allowed Anna to call Eileen’s phone and pretend to be a ghost. Eileen was scared. But Valentin thought Anna was more sexy than scary. Dante told Jordan they found Maggie Fitzgerald and she said Ryan Chamberlain was Esme’s father. Jordan later filled Laura in. Laura commented how that was why Esme was so obsessed with spending time with Ryan. The security guard was found dead in Ryan’s wheelchair. Ryan told Ava and Felicia there wasn’t enough room on the ride for all of them so one of them would be coming while the other would never leave the room again. Austin had returned to Wyndemere and heard Ryan talking through the other side of the door. Someone with a hook (probably Heather) entered and raised a hook at Austin.
