A weekly column highlighting the Port Charles happenings during the past week on General Hospital. Read below to find out what you missed or to refresh your memory in time for next week.

Monday

“Come on in Mr. Cassadine…I think you and I are overdue for a chat” Marshall (Robert Gossett) told Spencer (Nicholas Chavez). “Esme, going somewhere?” Cameron (William Lipton) asked when he saw Esme (Avery Kristen Pohl) holding Ace and pushing her luggage. Laura (Genie Francis) came to Charlie’s, the venue for Cameron’s going away party and asked Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst). Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) assured Anna (Finola Hughes) Eileen was fine and was taking the time needed for their plan with Victor (Charles Shaughnessy) to work. Eileen wanted to leave now that she’s given him the necklace. But Victor told her they were just getting started. Anna and Valentin talked about Eileen’s role in the plan. Victor gave Eileen the necklace for a job well done. He told her she could return it to the PCPD lockup. He told her it was about saving the world. Trina (Tabyana Ali) told Marshall that Spencer didn’t have time to talk because they had to set up for Cameron’s party. But Marshall insisted. And after Trina walked around, told Spencer he had to be a better man for himself and not for Trina. Laura asked Elizabeth about Nikolas (Adam Huss) commenting how she wished Elizabeth would have come to her when Nikolas asked for her help . Cameron told Esme she ruined his life when she recorded that video, even if she preferred to use the word alleged. Outside Kelly’s, Maxie (Kristen Storms) asked Josslyn (Eden McCoy) to perform at the Nurses Ball. Dex (Evan Hofer) appeared and Josslyn made introductions. Victor told Eileen how the code itched on The Ice Princess was the key to what he and his brother Mikkos attempted many years ago. And once the code was cracked, he would be able to secure a place for his family for generations to come. Cameron told Esme how her going to trial without memories wouldn’t have been justice. Cameron told her about her brother Franco (Roger Howarth) who was once the most hated person in town before he turned his life around, which Esme could do. Anna and Valentin talked about how they’d spend their time after this was over: Anna wanted to fly to California to see Robin (Kimberly McCullough) and the kids while Valentin planned a cross country trip with Charlotte. Realizing their lives would take separate directions, they discussed how their relationship fit into their plans. Josslyn arrived at Charlie’s with Cameron’s favorite pretzels and apologized to Elizabeth for breaking her son’s heart. When the code didn’t reveal the coordinates it should have, Victor accused Eileen of betraying him. Thinking fast, Eileen convinced Victor his brother Mikkos probably planted a false code to throw him off the track. Victor was furious thinking Mikkos took the secret to cracking the code to his grave. Eileen looked at the flash drive Victor had discarded on the floor, wanting to retrieve it. So much so, Eileen refused to leave when Anna called pretending to be from her office to get her to abort. Trina and Spencer arrived at Charlie’s. And because they were late helping Elizabeth, everything was already set up. Everyone was surprised when guest of honor Cameron entered with Esme in tow.

Tuesday

Diane (Carolyn Hennesy) asked Robert (Tristan Rogers) at The Metro Court. Anna (Finola Hughes) called Eileen and demanded she get out of Victor’s (Charles Shaughnessey) hotel room. But Eileen refused to leave, promising she’d have the answers Anna needed the next time they met. Then, she put her phone on silent. When Victor’s man arrived, they went into the other room to talk. Eileen picked up the flash drive. Felicia (Kristina Wagner) arrived at the safe house and Anna told her how Eileen’s gone rogue. Lucy (Lynn Herring) was annoyed when Maxie was ignoring her texts. Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) discussed Nurse’s Ball line and said there had to be an act that made the audience feel “You don’t want to miss a single minute!” Just then, Chase (Josh Swickward) entered. The guests were surprised when Cameron (William Lipton) entered Charlie’s with Esme (Avery Kristen Pohl). He reminded it was his party and he could invite whoever he wanted. Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) told Esme she looked good since the last time she saw her at Spring Ridge. When Esme made a remark about being in captivity, Cameron told her if she wanted to be a better person she should apologize to his mom…which Esme did. Cameron told Laura (Genie Francis) how he caught Esme trying to leave so he invited her. Laura stopped Spencer (Nicholas Chavez) from going over to Esme. Josslyn (Eden McCoy) told Trina (Tabyana Ali) that memory or not they had to get Esme away from that baby. Josslyn came over to Esme, who told her all she wanted was to be a good mother to her son. Victor refused to let Eileen leave saying he had something else for her to do for him. Anna called Robert to get him to extract Eileen. Unfortunately, Diane insisted on riding up on the elevator with him. Maxie had to take out her wireless earbud when Lucy screamed when she heard Bobbie (Jackie Zeman) accepted being the host of the Nurses Ball. Robert was forced to tell Diane about Eileen when she questioned him about being on Victor Cassadine’s hotel suite floor. Since he was no longer twenty-five, Robert knew kicking open the door wasn’t a good idea. Fortunately, Diane was able to secure a pass key from a maid, saying the city owed her forty dollars. But when Robert opened it, Victor and Eileen were gone. Lucy called to apologize to Maxie, who reminded Lucy wasn’t the only one who could come up with good ideas. Felix (Marcus Samuels) discussed with Chase the lighting for his song and called Brook Lynn over for her insight. Chase and Brook Lynn said the song was about love and gave their suggestion for lighting. Scott (Kin Shriner) gave a toast to Cameron. Afterwards, Laura left to take Esme and Ace home. Cameron told Elizabeth although he was sad to be leaving, he was excited by his destination. Victor took Eileen to the bridge saying he wanted somewhere private to conduct their business. He had his man frisk her and he found the flash drive in her pocket. Victor questioned why she took it since it was of no use. Desperate, Eileen said she had useful information and admitted Anna, Valentin and Lucy Coe were still alive and the flash drive didn’t work because the necklace she gave him was a fake. Eileen promised to do anything to make it up to him. When Anna called, Eileen picked up and lied that Victor wasn’t suspicious. But she was out and was leaving town then hung up. Assuring her she’d never have to worry about Anna Devane again, Victor threw Eileen off the bridge! Thinking her mentor was ignoring her because of her actions working with Nikolas to keep Esme prisoner at Wyndemere, Elizabeth called Epiphany. But Epiphany didn’t answer. A state trooper answered and told Elizabeth “I have some bad news about your friend.” Elizabeth’s face turned cold with shock when she was given the news.

Wednesday

It’s a very sad day in Port Charles as those who loved her mourn the loss of Epiphany (Sonya Eddy). Anna (Finola Hughes) was happy to see her granddaughter when Felicia (Kristina Wagner) brought Emma (Brook Lynn Seltzer) to the safe house. Liesl (Kathleen Gati) told Nina (Cynthia Watros) she was cleared to be Willow’s bone marrow donor. She commented how although she and Epiphany butted heads she’s glad Epiphany went out as a hero. Milo greeted Sonny (Maurice Benard) on the GH roof. Sonny comforted Milo, who broke down. Portia (Brooke Kerr) asked whether Marshall was okay. Portia said spending time with Epiphany was the highlight of her GH’s shifts. Marshall blamed himself for encouraging Epiphany to go to medical school. If it weren’t for him, she would have never been on that road. Portia told Marshall he gave Epiphany a blessing by encouraging to pursue her dream. At the GH chapel, Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) showed Finn the photos of events in Epiphany’s life. A woman approached Elizabeth and told her how Epiphany had been her guardian angel. She explained how she had a car accident and Epiphany came to her aid. The woman learned Epiphany’s pre-existing condition caused her death as she was overcome by all the smoke from the car accident. Laura (Genie Francis) and Robert (Tristan Rogers) talked about GH’s sixty years and how sad the day was. Diane arrived. She explained Epiphany chose her to be the executor of her will. When she asked whether Deputy Mayor Eileen Ashby had been found, Robert told Laura he filled Diane in and she could be trusted. Brad (Parry Shen) told Felix (Marcus Samuels) how Epiphany will never be gone. Diane gave Liesl a time sensitive list and told her Epiphany requested she complete it. Willow told Bobbie (Jackie Zeman) even with her surgery upcoming, she couldn’t have not attended the memorial service for Epiphany. Milo remembered Epiphany. He offered to help Sonny if he needed any extra help. But Sonny said he was one of the lucky ones to get out of this life. “Keep it that way.” Emma told Anna she booked her own flight to Port Charles. Nina understood why Sonny told her to stay away from him but if it was okay, she wanted to be his escort at the service. Marshall met Milo. Curtis (Donnell Turner) told him Milo was Epiphany’s ex-boyfriend. After the eulogies, Diane came up to the podium and told the memorial service guests Epiphany wanted Diane to escort them to the roof afterwards. Everyone followed Diane to the roof except Elizabeth. She received a call from Monica (Leslie Charleson), who had missed the service because she was a keynote speaker at a medical conference. Monica told Elizabeth how Epiphany wrote a letter for the GH Review Board which Monica read to Liz. In the letter, Epiphany praised Elizabeth as a nurse who made snap decisions for the betterment of the patient and someone who took accountability for her actions. The letter closed with Epiphany’s recommendation of Elizabeth for Head Nurse. Diane read a letter Epiphany left saying how she wanted to go out with a bang. The memorial service watched as Liesl released fireworks into the sky. The episode closed with Nurse Epiphany Johnson’s photo of the wall of doctors and nurses who had dedicated their lives to GH.

Thursday

Sonny (Maurice Benard) and Dex (Evan Hofer) met with Ms. Wu on Pier 55. “Haven’t I told you…I always bring the goods” Selina (Lydia Look) said. Maxie (Kristen Storms) worried when she felt Trina (Tabyana Ali) and Josslyn (Eden McCoy) still rehearsing their routine for the Nurse’s Ball. Cameron (William Lipton) was surprised with a special breakfast. “You didn’t think we let you leave for California without a proper send off from your family” Laura (Genie Francis) said. Esme (Avery Kristen Pohl) and Spencer (Nicholas Chavez) brought a sick Ace to GH. Esme demanded to see Dr. Portia Robinson (Brooke Kerr) but she was told to fill out forms first. Spencer encouraged her to do what she was asked and told her he was there because he had no intention of leaving her alone with his baby brother. Anna (Finola Huges) rushed to the door with her gun drawn when there was a knock. Trina and Josslyn assured Maxie they were more than ready for the Nurses Ball. Trina was looking forward to having fun at the Nurses Ball. “With Spencer?” Josslyn asked. Spencer helped Esme fill out the wrong. He told her she won’t be able to hide behind Ace with the angelic mother act for long. Elizabeth told Finn it was hard seeing her first born go. At Kelly’s, Felicia (Kristina Wagner) asked Ava (Maura West) how she was holding up after everything that happened with Ryan (Jon Lindstrom) and Heather (Alley Mills). The person at the safe house door was Drew (Cameron Mathison), who assured he took every precaution to avoid being seen. He told Anna and Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) that Victor (Charles Shaughnessy) has disappeared. Esme urged Spencer they should try to get along for Ace’s sake. When Austin (Roger Howarth) came to treat Ace, Esme recognized him as the man her mother shot and tried to kill. Laura understood Elizabeth felt with Cameron leaving for Stanford. Selina gave Sonny the duffel bag belonging to the shooter her people retrieved from a storage locker. Dex noticed a body in the water and jumped in. He pulled out Deputy Mayor Eileen Ashby. Trina wanted Josslyn to start dating again. Josslyn admitted she was seeing someone but added there would be serious consequences if she told Trina who. Drew told Anna and Valentin he found Eileen’s dog uncared for so it wasn’t lucky she left town on her own. Jordan (Tanisha Harper) questioned Sonny about him finding the deputy mayor while casually walking on the pier. Laura arrived and told Jordan she had to give a statement to the press. Laura asked Sonny to tell Anna and Valentin what happened. Austin told Esme that Ace just had gas and prescribed a treatment for the infant. Violet (Jophelle Love), Jake (Hudson West) and Aiden (Enzo DeAngelis)) gave Cameron a special drawing to hang up while at Stanford. When he was alone with his brothers, Cameron told them to call him if they needed him. He considered not going away to college because his brother and mother needed him. But Elizabeth assured they would be okay, adding she was happy he was getting to live his dream. When she took Ace to the vending machine while awaiting Austin’s return, Esme saw Ava who’d just gotten off the elevator. Sonny came to the safe house and told Anna, Valentin and Drew that Laura sent him to let them know Deputy Mayor Eileen Ashby was dead. Anna realized Victor was coming after them next. Spencer met with his Uncle Victor in the park.

Friday

“We should never have let Eileen leave here without a wire” Anna (Finola Hughes) said. Sonny (Maurice Benard) warned if they left now, they’d be signing their death warrants. Lucy grabbed a soda and popcorn and turned on the tv to watch the Red Carpet for the Nurses Ball. She knocked her snacks over when she heard about a hiccup in one of the dance routines. Esme (Avery Kristen Pohl) ran into Ava (Maura West) at GH. “He looks like his father…my husband.” Spencer (Nicholas Chavez) met with Victor (Charles Shaughnessy) in the park and told him to move ahead with his plan. Carly (Laura Wright) arrived at the Quartermaine guesthouse and found Nina (Cynthia Watros) hovering over Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) and asked “What the hell happened?” Maxie assured George, the WRCW reporter she didn’t know where he was getting his information. Anna called Felicia (Kristina Wagner) and told her about Eileen. Anna told Felicia she couldn’t come to the safehouse until they were certain Eileen hadn’t compromised them. Lucy ordered a car…she was going to the Nurses Ball! Nina explained how she came to drop off some Deception products and was planning to leave them on the porch but Willow invited her in to tell her the bone marrow transplant was able to proceed. Willow assured she was fine…just a little weak. She explained Michael (Chad Duell) was out getting snacks for them to watch the Nurses Ball and would be back. When Willow left the room to check on Amelia, Nina suggested she and Carly put aside their feelings for one another for Willow’s sake. Victor told Spencer if getting the DA to reinstate the charges doesn’t work, he’d go with his idea and eliminate her. Ava warned Esme if the old Esme came out she’d know and would finish what Esme started. Sonny told Drew (Cameron Mathison), Anna and Valentin that he’d check with his nephew Spencer to see whether he’s heard from Victor, assuring Spencer may be young but would do the right thing. After Spencer left to get back to Esme and Ace, Victor told his henchman his nephew would never go along with his real plans for Esme Prince. Wearing dark glasses and a faux mink coat, Lucy approached Maxie at The Metro Court. She suggested Mac (John J. York) for the Magic Milo replacement. But Maxie wouldn’t hear of her stepdad participating. A man walking with a cane interrupted Maxie and Lucy’s conversation to ask why The Metro Court Gardens was closed. Maxie explained it was closed for a private event. Maxie asked Felicia to take the man to the dining room instead. Carly reminded Nina how she will never fully be a part of Sonny’s world. When Willow returned, they told her everything would go well with the bone marrow transplant. Esme questioned why Spencer took so long when he returned to GH to bring her and Ace home. The man with the cane who interrupted Maxie and Lucy’s conversation called Victor and told him he tailed Felicia Scorpio and Lucy Coe showed up. Victor was pleased because with the information, he had them.
