A weekly column highlighting the Port Charles happenings during the past week on General Hospital. Read below to find out what you missed or to refresh your memory in time for next week.

Monday

The police arrived on the scene of a car accident and requested the jaws of life and an ambulance. Driving on the highway, Kristina (Kate Mansi) heard an ambulance siren and prayed “Please let it be Ava. Don’t let it be Ava.” Molly (Kristen Vaganos) came to Charlie’s looking for Kristina. When Cody (Josh Kelly) arrived, she asked whether he was sure he wanted to be there since the last time he was there he spent the night in lockup for punching Lucky Spencer (Jonatha Jackson). Alexis (Nancy Grahan) interrupted Drew (Cameron Mathison) and Kai’s (Jens Austin Astrup) conversation. Drew took a call from Ezra (Daniel Cosgrove) and demanded he get it done. Anna (Finola Hughes) had no choice but to handcuff and arrest Emma (Braedyn Bruner) for chaining herself to the Quartermaine crypt and violating a court order. She told Ezra that Tracy (Jane Eliott) was his problem. Tracy warned the sheriff not to touch her when he ordered her to stand up and put her hands behind her back. Kristina was shocked when she saw Rick was the one injured in the car accident. Lucky, who followed after Kristina left Charlie’s, came upon the accident scene and commented it looked like a bad one. The paramedics saw there was a female passenger who was unresponsive. “I don’t understand. It was supposed to be Ava.” Molly thanked Cody for talking with his father. Mac (John J. York) arrived at Charlie’s to meet Cody for a drink. After Kai left, Drew told Alexis he had great news about Scout. Uri said he stood with Tracy. Ezra threatened Tracy to test the officer to arrest her because it would be fun for him. Zelinski told Sonny to open the drawer and tried to make a run for it, but he was subdued by Jason (Steve Burton). Lucky told Kristina to go back to Charlie’s and enter through the backway and as far as anyone was concerned, she was there all night. When Elizabeth was removed from the car and Lucky saw her on a gurney, he rushed to her. Back at the police commissioner office, Emma asked Anna what happened to her when she saw the Quartermaine crypt wasn’t Emma’s fight. Trina (Tabayana Ali) recorded Tracy’s appeal to the public to stop “Cutthroat Cain” from trying to destroy her family’s final resting place. Uri was arrested, then two cops picked up Tracy and carried her away from the crypt. Jason told Sonny that Zelinsky, who hit his head, was gone. Sonny told Jason to grab the laptop and smart watch so Brick (Stephen A. Smith) could decode it for information on who hired the hitman. Drew told Alexis that Willow (Katelyn MacMuellen) was moving in with him and Scout but Alexis said it was a bad idea. Kristina told Molly she was in the back doing inventory. Lucky asked Isaiah (Sawandi Wilson) to let him stay so Elizabeth would know he was there. Lucas (Van Hansi) announced Rick had internal bleeding and needed emergency surgery. Mac asked Molly to join him and Cody for a drink. Molly asked Kristina to join them. Molly received a call about her father being injured in a car accident and needing emergency surgery. Cody said he’d drive Molly to GH and Kristina went with her. Emma told Anna she was doing this for her mother. Diane (Carolyn Henessy) arrived at the Quartermaine crypt with a cease and desist order authorized by Dr. Monica Quartermine (Leslie Charleson). Drew told Alexis he was only telling her as a courtesy and not asking permission. When Molly and Kristina arrived at GH, Lucky told them that Rick was on his way to surgery and Elizabeth, who was his passenger, was in a cubicle. Emma told Anna she was okay with being arrested today because Edward (John Ingle) and Alan Quartermaine (Stuart Damon) saved hers and her mom’s lives. On the plane back to Port Charles, Jason and Sonny talked about whoever hired Zelinski hiring someone else to finish the job. Ava (Maura West) came into the ER and asked Molly how her father was. Diane explained to Ezra that Monica made a deal with the Land Trust and the Quartermaine gave them a parcel of land by the lake in order for the crypt to remain intact. After Ezra left, Tracy assured Gio (Giovanni Mazza) she’d help get Emma out. Tracy thanked Trina for live streaming and called her a good tenant. Then, she left. Kai appeared and told Trina she saw the livestream. Mac entered Anna’s office and told Emma her mother wouldn’t be happy with her. Mac pulled Anna outside and showed her a file. Alexis asked Ava to worry about Rick somewhere else because her presence upset her (Alexis’) daughters because it reminded them of their dead baby. Isaiah told Lucky that Elizabeth’s spinal scans looked good but she needed surgery for her broken leg. Lucas came out to talk with Molly about Rick’s condition and suggested they sit down. Sonny told Jason he wouldn’t let anyone hurt his family. Gio and Tracy arrived at the police commissioner’s office. Tracy called Emma a Quartermaine ally and offered to pay her legal costs. But Anna told Tracy that the only place Emma was going was down to holding until she appeared before a judge in the morning because she had numerous arrests. Ezra told Drew that Monica blocked the demolition of the Quartermaine crypt and his use of the Quartermaine name. Lucas explained to Molly about Rick’s condition. Lucky sat by Elizabeth’s bed and told her he loved her. Then, she woke up.

Tuesday

At GH, Laura (Genie Francis) and Sonny (Maurice Benard) stood on the steps. At GH, Laura told Sonny “If there’s one thing I’ve learned about you Sonny is you always show up when it counts.” Alexis (Nancy Grahan) told Curtis (Donnell Turner) the hospital felt safe. Felicia (Kristina Wagner) told Carly (Laura Wright) and Donna it was General Hospital’s birthday and it was seventy-two years young. Portia (Brooke Kerr) and Terry (Cassandra) got ready to head downstairs for the dedication. Lucy (Lynn Herring) came to Wyndemere with a proposal for Jenz (Carlos Sidwell). She said she had four words that would blow his mind: “General Hospital Nurses Ball.” Tracy (Jane Eliott) interrupted Laura and Sonny with news for Laura. Lucy told Jenz about the first Nurses Ball. Portia, Terry, Mac (John J. York) and Anna (Finola Hughes) commented on General Hospital’s sixty second anniversary. Tracy told Laura that Monica (Leslie Charleson) couldn’t make the dedication because she had respiratory issues and shouldn’t be around people. Laura said it was a shame since Monica was the heart and soul of GH. Lucy told Jenz about the spectacular gowns she’s worn at the Nurses Ball. Carly, Donna and Felicia looked at Bobbie’s (Jackie Zeman) portrait on the memorable wall. Carly told Felicia what she did for the patients was a gift and Bobbie would be proud. Stella (Vernee Watson) found Tracy looking at her brother and parents’ portraits on the memorial wall. Tracy told Stella that Monica couldn’t make the dedication. “All we can do is do what’s right by this hospital and make Monica proud,” Portia told Terry. Jenz asked Lucy what was the cause. “You know the great thing about General Hospital without even trying, it brings out the best in everyone” Laura told Curtis. Alexis questioned Sonny about being the anonymous donor for the Monica Quartermaine Cardiac Wing. Laura told Alexis that whatever she does couldn’t thank Sam (Kelly Monaco) for her gift and giving Lulu (Alexa Havins) her life. Alexis told Laura they needed to focus on Sam’s gift to Lulu . “Let’s not focus on her death, just her life” Alexis told Laura. Maxie (Kirsten Storms) gave GH nurses Deception gift bags to thank them for taking care of her and her family. Maxie gave Felicia and Stella gift bags as well. Curtis told Laura he was grateful for the doctors, nurses and specialists at GH because if it weren’t for them, he might still be in that wall chair. Tracy told Ned (Wally Kurth) she was jealous of Alan (Stuart Damon) because he followed his heart. Tracy told Ned she was wrong for giving Alan a hard time for marrying Monica. Lucy told Jenz how the Nurses Ball started to raise money for AIDS research. She told him about Stone, Robin (Kimberly McCulloug) and others with the disease, adding she does what she does for them. Carly helped Donna light a candle for Michael when Sonny entered the chapel. Donna took a seat to say a prayer for Michael. Carly told Sonny when she thought of GH, she didn’t associate it with pain. “I wouldn’t bet against Carly Spencer,” Sonny said. “For the record, I wouldn’t bet against you either” Carly told Sonny. Jenz told Lucy he wanted to underwrite the entire Nurses Ball. “Those are my terms, take it or leave it,” Jenz said. Laura told Portia and Terry that Monica wasn’t coming so they would have to get started without her. Sonny told Anna that Stone and Robin changed his life. Anna told Sonny despite their differences she’d always be grateful to him for taking care of Robin. She told him that Robin asked her to give him something if she were to see him then kissed him on the cheek. Portia and Terry spoke about Monica being the guiding light of the hospital. Laura told the podium to dedicate the opening of Dr. Monica Quartermaine Cardiac Care Center. “I believe General Hospital represents us at our best.” “For so many of us, General Hospital feels like home. After Laura unveiled the plaque, Lucy took to the podium with Jenz and announced Sidwell was underwriting the entire Nurses Ball.

Wednesday

Jason (Steve Burton) arrived at GH but not to visit Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) but to talk with Lucas (Van Hansis) about Carly (Laura Wright). “It’s Carly, this thing with Brennan has got to end.” Meanwhile, Carly woke up in bed with Jack (Chris L. McKenna). At the courthouse, Gio (Giovanni Mazza) asked Emma (Braedyn Bruner) why she chained herself to the Quartermaine crypt when she knew she had a record. “I think you’re after my granddaughter because you have a problem with me” Anna (Finola Hughes) told ADA Turner (Nazneen Contractor). Lucy (Lynn Herring), Maxie (Kirsten Storms), Tracy (Jane Eliott), Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) and Natalia (Eva LaRue) had a meeting in the Quartermaine solarium about Sidwell’s involvement in Deception. Sasha (Sofia Mattsson) came to Wyndemere to question Jenz (Carlos Rota) about his intentions towards Deception. “There are limits to what I’ll do for money,” Sasha told Jenz. Ezra (Daniel Cosgrove) approached Laura (Genie Francis) and Sonny (Maurice Benard) at The Metro Court dining room and asked her to tell him how the public felt about her breaking bread with an alleged crime boss. “The moment I find out that you’re up to something shady, let’s just say I know someone who can keep you in line” Sasha told Jenz then left Wyndemere. Lucy told her business partners they needed to decide whether to offer Sidwell a contract. Diane (Carolyn Henessy) welcomed Marco (Andrian Anchondo) to Miller & Boyle. Lucas told Jason that Carly was allowing herself to see the level of danger because she was falling for Brennan. Carly told Jack that they may not get many more times alone. Laura reminded Ezra her approval rating was twice as high as his. Before leaving, Ezra told Laura to think of all the good she could do if she weren’t wasting her time with Corinthos. Sonny told Laura Councilman Boyle was right. Marco interviewed with Diane for a position with Miller & Boyle. He told Diane if this were to work out, he’d bring some of his clients with him. Sonny told Laura he didn’t think they should meet in public. Natalia and Tracy abstained from voting on Sidwell’s involvement with Deception. Everyone else voted Yes. Lucy said they had to go to Spoon Island to tell Sidwell. “I’ve already been arrested…everyone already thinks I’m trouble so it has to be me” Emma told Gio. ADA Turner told Anna how the university had Emma’s arrest record for her involvement with an activist group sealed because they obviously didn’t want the story getting out. She added that neither she nor Anna had any idea what they were dealing with when it came to her granddaughter. The ladies of Deception arrived at Wyndemere. Brook Lynn asked Jenz why he wanted to do business with Deception. Jenz explained once he decided to settle in Port Charles he wanted to work with a company located there. Diane told Marco she needed to speak with her business partner Alexis Davis (Nancy Grahan) first. Marco noticed the photo of Lucas with Sam (Kelly Monaco) and asked about it. Lucas told Jason that Carly spent the night with Brennan. Laura told Sonny about Rick (Rick Hearst) and Elizabeth’s (Rebecca Herbst) car accident when Carly and Jack stepped off the elevator. After Maxie left for a doctor’s appointment, Brook Lynn told Jenz they had a deal. Sasha and Tracy arrived at the courthouse for Emma’s arraignment. Judge Rourke took the bench. ADA Turner demanded Emma be held without bail. Marco texted Lucas that he was in Port Charles at The Metro Court and invited him to join him. Tracy addressed the court and provided paperwork showing an agreement had been reached between Dr. Monica Quartermaine (Leslie Charleson) and the Land Trust so Councilman Boyle and the demolition team had no reason to be on the property. Tracy added there was no case and requested the court dismiss the charges against Emma. Natalia warned Jenz there wouldn’t be a deal if the Deception partners knew what she did. Jason came to Miller & Davis and told Diane he needed to amend his will to provide for Sasha and the baby. He told Diane he was holding off telling Carly that Michael (Chad Duell) was the baby’s father because she was involved with Brennan. Jack left his and Carly’s table at The Metro Court dining room and pulled Sonny away from his table and told him about contract Zelinski being found dead. ADA Turner told the court how Emma was asked to leave by law enforcement and refused. Judge Rourke said they were going to try the case and would decide it then and there. Emma suggested doing community service and changed her plea to guilty. Judge Rourke granted and said the number of hours would be determined later. Jason told Diane he couldn’t trust Carly because she was involved with Brennan and he didn’t know the WSB world and the code they lived by. Sonny denied knowing Zelinski. Jenz warned Natalia to keep her mouth shut if she knew what was good for her. Marco started to leave The Metro Court bar when Lucas showed up. ADA Turner warned Anna whatever Emma did in California would come back to haunt her. Anna returned to the courtroom. She asked Emma to tell her what she did in California. Emma said she couldn’t because they made her sign an NDA. Jack told Carly his conversation with Sonny had nothing to do with her. Jenz told Natalia she’d never be in position again to tell him what to do. There was a knock at the door. Jenz opened it and found Sonny on the other side.

Thursday

Sasha (Sofia Mattsson) told Jason (Steve Burton) the problem she had was him. Kai (Jens Austin Astrup) came to Aurora to ask Curtis’ (Donnell Turner) opinion on an opportunity Drew (Cameron Mathison) was offering him. Drew barged in the Co-Chief of Staff’s office, angry Curtis referred to him as Congressman Cain in Aurora’s story about the pediatric sports initiative. “You better get him under control, or I will blow your cushy little life right out of the water” Drew warned Portia. ADA Turner (Nazneen Contractor) asked for Trina’s (Tabyana Ali) help. Josslyn (Eden McCoy) was surprised to run into Vaughn (Bryce Dufee). Carly (Laura Wright) told Jack (Chris L. McKenna) he needed to be honest with her. Sonny (Maurice Benard) arrived at Wyndemere and told Jenz (Carlos Rota) he thought it was time they met. Kai told Curtis about Drew making him aware of the cutting edge surgery. “What do you think I should do?” Kai asked Curtis. Drew told Portia he needed her to be proactive in finding out what Curtis was working on. After Drew left, Brad (Parry Shen) entered. Vaughn said Josslyn was shaping up to be a good agent when she commented she noticed the logo on the cup of coffee he drank. Marco (Adrian Anchondo) told Lucas (Van Hansis) about his interview at Miller & Davis adding if he got the job he’d be staying in Port Charles. “In that case, I have a confession to make.” Jack told Carly when his business and their relationship intersected, she had to understand answers he gave her would be lies or half truths at best. Jenz told Sonny he’d gone into business with the women of Deception and since Sonny was an investor, it meant they were in business as well. But Sonny said he wasn’t there about Deception. He mentioned the firebombing of his penthouse and said some information has come to light that made him rethink Sidwell’s involvement. Sasha asked Jason whether he’ll be okay with being the baby’s father for the long haul. Trina asked why ADA Turner was so concerned about Emma Scorpio-Drake (Braedyn Bruner) and what happened across the country. Brad told Portia that his Aunt Selina (Lydia Look) must have given the information about what Portia did to Drew. Portia said that made their agreement null and void and the only thing for them to iron out was his severance. Josslyn again told Vaughn she wasn’t quitting. Jack told Carly he was breaking the cardinal rule of the WSB by forming an emotional attachment with her. “Mr. Corinthos, you seem to think I want to get rid of you. The truth is, I want the exact opposite” Jenz told Sonny. Lucas and Marco told each other about their jobs. Brad begged Portia not to fire him. He left when Kai entered. Kai told Portia that Curtis suggested he get her opinion about an experimental procedure. “For the foreseeable future, you and I are in this together” Jason told Sasha. Jenz assured Sonny he was trying to run a legitimate business. And as a show of good faith, Jenz offered to find the culprit responsible for the firebomb. Sonny said he was handling it. “Good luck with your business. As long as it doesn’t interfere with mine” Sonny said then left. Lucas told Marco he had to make things right for the person his ex wronged. Marco told Lucas he had to leave for a meeting, but he would be in town for a few more days so if he wanted to know more about him, he’d have to agree to see him again. After Marco left, Carly came to The Metro Court bar and asked Lucas “What was that?” Lucas told Carly how Jason was asking about her. Natalia warned Jenz that Sonny wasn’t someone to mess with. Sonny didn’t have time for ADA Turner. Jack refused to allow Vaughn back into the field. Sasha let Jason feel the baby kick for the first time. Portia agreed Brad could keep his job at GH but told him he better be available when she needed him, adding “I own your ass.” Drew told Curtis not to let his resentment of him ruin Kai’s opportunity. Kai came to see Trina. Josslyn told Jack she witnessed Vaughn accepting a handoff. It was revealed that Marco’s parents are Jenz and Natalia.

Friday

Kai (Jes Austin Astrup) there might be a chance he’d play football again. “If you want to come after me Curtis that’s fine. But leave Kai out of it” Drew (Cameron Mathison) told Curtis (Donnell Turner). Jack (Chris L. McKenna) told Josslyn (Eden McCoy) if she were wrong about the charges he was making against a senior agent, it could end her career. Jason (Steve Burton) came over to give Carly (Laura Wright) tax documents for when he signed The Metro Court over and said “Carly, I can’t stand this.” Lucy (Lynn Herring) told Jordan (Tanisha Harper) she would be the city’s liaison for the Nurses Ball. Ava (Maura West) watched Rick (Rick Hearst) outside his room. Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) told Lucky (Jonathan Jackson) she felt completely helpless. “I know I did a bad thing” Kristina (Kate Mansi) cried as she prayed in the GH chapel “Please don’t let Molly’s dad die.” Entering with Alexis (Nancy Grahan), “Kristina” Molly (Kristen Vaganos) called out. Elizabeth told Lucky she hated sitting around waiting for people to do things for her. Trina wasn’t so sold on Drew helping Kai. “You wouldn’t be in this position if I didn’t put you here” Drew said, reminding how Curtis became CEO of Aurora. Lucy told Jordan she wouldn’t take no for an answer. Molly told Kristina she heard what she said and thanked her with a hug for being a good sister. Josslyn walked Jack through what she saw at the coffee shop. “I hate having an ultimatum between us because it’s awful” Carly told Jason, adding “I don’t want to give someone up because someone tells me to. Even if that someone’s you.” Alexis told Kristina that Rick was out of surgery and there was no permanent damage. Molly told Kristina they were sisters which bound them together. Ava told Isaiah (Sawandi Wilson) she and Rick were together the day of his accident. She asked whether she could see Rick because no one was in with him right now. Ava promised to leave if she was caught with the family. Curtis told Drew that he didn’t want Kai to become collateral damage like Michael (Chad Duell). “He barely knows you so why would he do that?” Trina said, asking Kai why Drew would pay for his surgery. Vaughn (Bryce Dufee) gave his version, Jack asked Josslyn “Do you stand by your version of events?” Elizabeth wanted to go home. But Lucky told her she needed to let herself heal. “I keep replaying that moment when the car went off the road. It’s terrifying…I could have been killed” Elizabeth told Lucky. Jordan interrupted Drew and Curtis. “After Sam’s death…I can’t take the risk of losing you” Jason said, adding her life isn’t as important to Brennan as it is to him. Jason told Carly he would take a bullet for her but couldn’t trust Brennan would do the same. Carly said she hadn’t felt this alive in a long time and asked Jason to trust her. Josslyn stood by what she saw, adding she saw Vaughn put the package in his pocket. Jack ordered Vaughn to empty his pockets. Vaughn handed Jack the package. “What do we have here?” Jack asked. Ava told Rick she’d let him bill her for a full hour if he just woke up. Rick woke up. He remembered the car accident and told Ava the breaks failed. Ava came out of Rick’s room and told Isaiah that Rick was awake. Alexis, Molly and Kristina got off the elevator. “Your father’s awake” Ava told Molly, who went into Rick’s room. Ava told Alexis GH was a public place and she wouldn’t leave because of Kristina’s mental state. Molly was happy her father was awake. Lucy interrupted Ava and Alexis to ask about them performing at the Nurses Ball. “Never have. Never will” Alexis told Lucy walking away. And Ava told Lucy there was something she needed to take care of and would get back to her. Kai told Trina he had her mom look things over because he trusts her judgement. Jason told Carly he’d stay out of her relationship with Jack, adding whatever danger Brennan put her in, they’d get through it. Jack congratulated Josslyn for passing the test and said he needed her in the field immediately. “Where am I going?” Josslyn asked. Elizabeth told Lucky not to blame Rick for the accident. Jordan told Drew and Curtis that Jenz Sidwell (Carlos Rota) was underwriting the entire Nurses Ball and Lucy needed them to perform. “What do you say fellas? Jordan asked. Molly told Rick she was glad she got to tell him how much she loved him. Kai told Trina he couldn’t wait to see where the future took them. Jason told Carly he’s glad she didn’t listen to him because she would have resented him. Ava lied her car was involved in the accident and asked the mechanic to take a look at it so she could put in her insurance claim. Kristina texted Lucky that she needed to see him. Lucy arrived at Trina and Josslyn’s apartment and said she’d put them both down to perform at the Nurses Ball. Drew agreed to perform. And Curtis realized Jordan asked them both together because she knew he wouldn’t do less than Drew. “I’m home,” Josslyn said, entering her mother’s kitchen. Jack told Vaughn he wanted him to be Jax’s backup. Lucky met with Kristina at the hospital chapel and told her he wanted her to explain how she almost got Elizabeth killed. Rick remembered seeing Kristina at the accident scene. Ava learned the break lines of the car had been cut.
