A weekly column highlighting the Port Charles happenings during the past week on General Hospital. Read below to find out what you missed or to refresh your memory in time for next week.

Monday

Portia (Brooke Kerr) accused Zeke (Gavin Houston) of not taking her calls because he was on a date with Jordan (Tanisha Harper). Curtis (Donnell Turner) started walking towards them. “What else did Valentin say to you?” Sonny (Maurice Benard) asked Anna (Finola Hughes) as Dante (Domini Zamprogna) spotted a sniper. “Everybody down!” he shouted. Jordan ordered Zeke and Portia to get down and they took cover under a table. Kristina (Kate Mansi) announced she could be TJ (Taj Bellows) and Molly’s (Holiday Mia Kriegel) surrogate. Unfortunately, Molly heard them and told TJ she wanted them to sit someplace separate as far as possible from her mom and sisters. “Because I may have to kill my sister.” Trina (Tabyana Ali) and Josslyn (Eden McCoy) set up their picnic in the park. Josslyn commented how life was more similar when they didn’t have boyfriends who hated each other. Spencer (Nicholas Chavez) was annoyed that Esme (Avery Kristen Pohl) was late for the parenting class. Esme didn’t feel comfortable Spencer left Ace with Quartermaine nanny Melanie. Chase (Josh Swickward) called in and reported the shooting. Finn (Michael Easton) and Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) came to Chase who said he needed their help. Portia rushed to Curtis’ side when she saw he’d been shot. Portia told Jordan she needed towels to stop the bleeding. She panicked when she saw all the blood. Finn and Elizabeth entered. Finn told Portia it was okay to let go. “We got this,” he said. Finn and Elizabeth turned Curtis over. “The entry wound is in his back,” Finn told Elizabeth. Josslyn blamed herself for Spencer’s hatred of Dex. “His bad impression of Dex is really about me.” Josslyn believes Spencer was intimidated by Dex and wants to prove he’s just as tough as Dex. Josslyn commented Spencer was taking a whole new approach to Esme. “Sounds like you two are here for the parenting class. Come on in” the instructor said. Alexis (Nancy Grahan) told Kristina offering to be the surrogate was a little premature. Molly told TJ that Kristina wanted to be their surrogate. Sonny came out from hiding. “I’m ending this,” he told Anna. Finn told Elizabeth they had to be careful. Dex (Evan Hofer) arrived with cold beverages for Trina and Josslyn. The instructor told the class it wasn’t a How To but a way to show them how to work together for the sake of the child. Alexis told Kristina it’s up to TJ and Molly to decide if and when they wanted a surrogate. Molly told TJ how Kristina is once again turning it into The Kristina Show and how it’ll all be about her. “Not to me,” TJ said. Zeke commented he couldn’t believe how fast the swat team got there. Portia asked to ride in the ambulance with her husband. Dante allowed Zeke to leave and take Jordan to the hospital. Anna told Sonny he made himself a target. Sonny said it was a calculated risk but they needed to make sure the shooter was gone. Dante told Chase what happened. Sonny’s guy Gabe called Dex and told him about the shooting. Dex told Trina and Josslyn about the shooting and that Curtis Ashford was shot. Esme and Spencer talked about the exercise where parents had to decide on the best bedtime for the child. Kristina commented how Molly waited too long. TJ told Molly it was up to them to decide whether they chose to have a child and not Kristina. Curtis was brought into GH. Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) came to the crime scene and told Chase she had to see him to keep an eye on him. She needed him to know how much he meant to her. Finn and Elizabeth gave their statements. Finn told Elizabeth because of her he was able to help. Elizabeth asked whether they could get out of there. Portia told Dion she was depending on her to save Curtis. TJ told Molly that Kristina as the middle child had the classic Jan Brady syndrome. “But our body situation is not happening to her. It’s happening to us” TJ said. Sam and Alexis urged Kristina to think about what being a surrogate really meant to her. Dante told Anna and Sonny one of them was the target. Chase and Dante went to check out the room on the eleven floor where the shot came from. Zeke and Jordan arrived at GH. Portia told them that sometimes no matter what doctors do it still isn’t enough. Trina called and asked about Curtis. Sam talked about being pregnant with her first child Lila who was stillborn at birth. “I thought I knew what I meant to be pregnant but in reality I couldn’t be more wrong.” “In my grief I forgot to ask what your dreams were” Molly told TJ. Portia asked Trina how she found out about the shooting. Josslyn told Dex that Trina needed Spencer. Esme and Spencer both compliment each other and their caring for Ace. Sonny asked his guy Gabe to take Brook Lynn home. “If I’m the shooter’s target then I gotta take some responsibility for what happened here” Sonny told Anna, who asked whether anyone else had been trying to kill him. Dante found a sniper’s weapon behind the couch in the room on the eleven floor where the shot came from. Trina, Dex and Josslyn arrived at GH. Josslyn asked Dex to keep an eye on Trina because she had to go somewhere. Kristina realized she hadn’t thought the whole surrogacy through. TJ admitted he was grieving the loss of Molly not carrying their child. Molly conceded that if they chose the surrogacy route Kristina was the best option. Finn and Elizabeth walked through the park and commented how it was harder tonight because they knew Portia and Curtis. “You think those shots weren’t aimed at you…those bullets were meant for me?” Anna asked Sonny. Chase called for a forensics team to be sent over to The Metro Court. Dante called the weapon a ghost gun, telling Chase they wouldn’t find anything on it or the shell casings. He said to him it could be an intelligence op. Josslyn saw Esme put her hand on Spencer’s shoulder. Jordan told Zeke as acting Deputy Mayor she was the highest ranking government official and had to give a press conference to assure the public they were safe. “Well can I at least walk you out?” Zeke asked. “Sure” Jordan answered and they left GH. Curtis’ attending physician told Portia and Trina that Curtis needed surgery but it was complicated by the fact the bullet was lodged near his spine.

Tuesday

Anna (Finola Hughes) was upset thinking Curtis got caught in the middle of what could have been a hit on either her or Sonny (Maurice Benard). “What’s this…hanging out after class?” Josslyn (Eden McCoy) asked Esme (Avery Kristen Pohl) and Spencer (Nicholas Chavez). Finn (Michael Easton) and Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) talked about how they were able to save Curtis (Donnell Turner) because they worked together. Stella (Vernee Watson) and Marshall (Robert Gossett) were out for coffee and dessert. Portia (Brooke Kerr) told Trina (Tabyana Ali) the Curtis she knew would do anything it took to get back to the people he loves. Portia gave consent on behalf of Curtis’ family to do everything they could to save his life. Stella asked how Marshall was doing with losing Epiphany (Sonya Eddy). Finn and Elizabeth talked about the randomness of the shooting. Josslyn told Spencer his girlfriend was downstairs and that Curtis was shot. When Nina (Cynthia Watros) arrived, Sonny told her Curtis was shot. Sonny told Nina that Curtis was taken to GH and was shot in the back. When he told her Curtis was in the wrong place at the wrong time, Nina asked Sonny whether someone was trying to finish what they started and get rid of Sonny. Finn and Elizabeth talked about how fragile life was. Marshall talked about his false schizophrenia diagnosis. After Spencer left to be with Trina, Josslyn told Esme they were going to have a little chat. Portia urged Trina to think positive thoughts, adding Curtis would do anything to be in her life. Spencer got off the elevator and Trina rushed into his arms. Josslyn told Esme she was onto her. Portia called Stella and told her about the shooting. Stella and Marshall left The Bistro for GH. Dex called Sonny and said his military experience is telling him the odds are stacked against Curtis. Sonny updated Anna and Nina about Curtis being taken into surgery. Josslyn asked Esme whether she was like Ryan (Jon Lindstrom) or Heather (Alley Mills). Spencer told Trina she had to be strong for Curtis. Portia comforted Stella and Marshall. Finn asked Elizabeth whether she was ready to take the plunge again. After Esme left, Josslyn told Dex she just caught a glimpse of the real Esme. Stella told Trina her relationship with Curtis as his daughter was just beginning. Portia thanked Nina for coming and said Curtis was a fighter. Anna and Sonny asked each other if they could do things again would they do things differently. Finn and Elizabeth kissed. He asked whether she had any plans for tomorrow night then asked whether he could take her out. Elizabeth suggested they stay in and she could make him lasagna. Portia told Stella and Trina all they could do was pray and wait. Esme offered Trina her prayers for Curtis. Josslyn told Dex she believes the real Esme was waiting to come out. Esme left to go home to Ace. Sonny told Anna at the end of the day Sonny Cornithos is who he was. Nina told Portia, Stella and Marshall no one loves his life more than Curtis. Trina told Spencer she wished she had Aunt Stella’s faith. Spencer said she may not have Aunt Stella’s faith but one thing she could be sure of was he wasn’t going anywhere.

Wednesday

“Sasha Gilmore, you are under arrest” Chase (Josh Swickward) said. “Is this a joke?” Sasha asked. “I’m afraid not,” Chase answered. “I’ve done nothing wrong” Sasha said, refusing to go anywhere without an explanation. He told her she left the store with that blouse and a few other items that she didn’t pay for. Gladys was in Logan’s admiring herself wearing a mink coat. “That’s pretty,” Scout said, touching the coat. “Hey kid this is couture…keep your hands to yourself” Gladys warned. “Well, you have a way with children don’t you” Sam said, coming to her daughter’s aid. Cody (Josh Swickward) attempted to explain to Selina (Lydia Look) the marked cards. But Selina said no explanation was necessary. She slapped Cody when he made a joke. “He’s making jokes. Guess it’s time Mr. Bell learned how humorless we are” Selinca said as he henchman Lee dragged Cody over to the bar. Alexis (Nancy Grahan) met with Kristina (Kate Mansi) at Kelly’s. “Let me ask you something. If Molly and TJ actually did ask you to be their surrogate, would you say yes?” Kristina answered yes because Molly was her sister and she’d do anything for her. Molly (Holiday Mia Kriegel) told Portia (Brooke Kerr), Trina (Tabyana Ali), Stella (Vernee Watson) and Marshall (Robert Gossett) that TJ (Taj Bellows) would give them an update on the surgery, which has taken all night. Portia left for her office to get Trina that extra sweater she kept there saying she needed to stretch her legs. Molly and Marshall decided to take a walk too, leaving Stella with Trina, who said she wasn’t feeling very strong right now. Molly and Marshall ran into Sonny (Maurice Benard) and Nina (Cynthia Watros). “I have to admit I’m surprised to see you here,” Marshall told Sonny. Portia thought about the last time she spoke with Curtis. “Please Curtis, give us a chance to make it right,” she said. TJ watched Curtis’ surgery. Sasha explained she was allowed to take the clothes because it was free advertising for the store. She agreed to go with Chase to the PCPD to straighten things out. Willow (Katelyn MacMuellen) told Michael (Chad Duell) to call Gladys. “Already on it” Michael said. Gladys apologized for snapping at Scout. Sam told Gladys she and Scout were there to pick out some dresses for Scout for swim camp. Sam told Scout to try on the dresses. She said she was glad she ran into Gladys because she’s been meaning to ask her something. “So how is your new BFF Selina Woo?” Cody told Selina he wanted to move on from the game because he was getting restless. But Selina told Cody her employees couldn’t come and go as they pleased. “Who would do this to my son?” Marshall asked Sonny. Stella assured Trina her nephew would fight to get back to her and Portia. After all the bullet fragments were removed, Curtis experienced an elevated heart rate and began crashing. He had an out of body experience where he found himself at the park on a picnic with his mother. Sonny vowed to Marshall he wouldn’t rest until he found out who the shooter was. Trina told Portia she’s worried she wasted so much time and didn’t resolve things before. When Maxie entered Kelly’s, Kristina asked her about surrogacy. When Gladys denied Selina was her BFF, Sam told Gladys she might as well tell her because she was going to figure it out. “What does that woman have on you?” Sam asked. Nina said Curtis was very lucky to have his family. While the doctor’s worked to restart his heart, Curtis was tearful to see his mother again. “Mom is this really happening…are you really here with me right now?” he cried. His mother suggested he go see Tommy. Curtis could hear the voices of the doctors trying to revive him. Chase left a voicemail for Maxie. Sam told Gladys the only reason she backed up was to save her own skin. Gladys played her voicemail and left after hearing her messages. Maxie told Kristina she had to wrap her head around it and asked Kristina to call her to discuss it at another time. Maxie left Kelly’s when she got a call from Chase. After Kristina left, Alexis texted Sonny. He told Nina he had to leave because Alexis wanted him to come by and it was about Kristina. Sasha called Cody. But he couldn’t answer his phone. Cody told Selina he had a proposition. “No one crosses me. Goodbye Mr. Bell.” Selina said. Curtis heard TJ’s voice and recognized it but couldn’t make it out. His mother told him to come. “We’ll go see Tommy together.” “Come on Uncle Curtis fight…Be there for Trina” TJ’s voice urged. Portia told Nina the surgery taking too long was cause for concern. “The only thing we can do is wait,” Portia told Nina. When Gladys arrived at the PCPD, Chase showed them the security video from Logan’s. Sasha didn’t remember putting the clothes in her bag. Wiley surprised Willow by wearing a beret and holding up a sign that read Bonjour Madame it was for their pretend trip to Paris. Scout didn’t want to go to swim class because her daddy usually takes her and picks her up. Sam told Scout they could write everything down so when they went to see daddy they could tell him. Cody told Selina he was coming into some money that was coming from the WSB. He explained they took a family heirloom from him and was willing to cough up ten million to make up for his pain and suffering. “Would you like a cut?” Cody asked Selina. Michael told Willow they’d have a real trip when she was up to it. Selina agreed for a sixty forty split. Lee let Cody go and he played Sasha’s voicemail. Selina told Cody he was free to go because wherever he went, Lee would find him. Maxie entered the interrogation room and told Chase, Gladys and Sasha she spoke with Sandra the store manager and they’ve agreed to drop the charges. Maxie told Sasha they were doing a cross promotional event with Logan’s with The Deceptor. But Logan’s preferred she and Lucy to handle it. Alexis told Sonny that Kristina was overwhelmed and needed his help. Portia asked Nina what if she never had the chance to tell Curtis she loved him. Curtis remembered he had a daughter named Trina. And although he wanted to go home and see Tommy, he had a feeling if he left the park he’d never see Trina again. Michael brought out the closest thing to a French meal. Alexis told Sonny that Kristina needed guidance from him. After speaking with Logan’s, Chase told Sasha she was free to go. But he told Maxie to keep an eye on her. Cody left a voicemail for Sasha. Sam told photos of Cody and Selina and was startled when someone put their hand on her shoulder. Curtis told his mother he couldn’t stay with her because there were too many people waiting for him. His mother told him it was time for him to go back then disappeared. TJ entered the waiting room to give the update on Curtis’ condition.

Thursday

Friday

Anna (Finola Hughes) put down her cup of tea and pulled out her gun when she heard a noise outside her house. When she opened the door, Anna found Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) cuffing an intruder. Alexis (Nancy Grahan) told Sonny (Maurice Benard) their daughter was considering doing something which she was unprepared to do. “And you want me to be the bad guy?” Sonny asked. Sasha (Sofia Mattsson) and Gladys (Bonnie Burroughs) returned home. Gladys assured Sasha it was all over and no one was mad at her. She commented that Sasha looked tired and asked whether Sasha’s taken her afternoon meds. Sasha left the room to splash some water on her face and would take her pills before taking a nap. Gladys answered a call from Logan’s and told them she wanted everything she looked at, asking them to use the card on file and to send the things over this afternoon. She heard a knock and went to answer the door. “Oh God, you’re the last thing we need right now” Gladys said when she saw Cody (Josh Kelly) and slammed the door on him. On Pier 55, Mac (John J. York) apologized for scaring Sam (Kelly Monaco) and asked why she was following Cody. “I wasn’t following Cody, I was following Selina Woo.” Sam asked whether Mac thought Cody was in trouble. “Yes he’s in danger and from the way things looked I don’t think I can get him out of it”Mac answered. TJ (Taj Bellows) announced Curtis (Donnell Turner) made it through surgery. Portia (Brooke Kerr) asked Dr. Barnstall whether he was able to remove the bullet. The doctor replied he was but it left significant damage. Dante recognized the guy outside Anna’s house as Nicky Vasquez who works for Sonny. Anna told Dante she knew why he was there. His family was told Curtis was taken to recovery and they decided where to wait. Alexis told Sonny how Kristina is always mad with her but not at Sonny. He asked what kind of trouble Kristina was headed for. TJ snapped at Kristina then walked over. Kristina asked Molly what was going on. “Kristina, not now.” When he refused to stop knocking, Gladys let Cody in. She told him it wasn’t a good time. “Good thing I didn’t come to see you.” Sasha came out of the other room. Cody apologized for not coming sooner when he got her message. “What was more important than helping Sasha in her time of need?” Gladys asked. Sam told Mac she was afraid Selina may have roped Cody into something illegal. Mac told her he knew all about Selina Woo’s illegal card game. Anna told Dante she had reason to believe she was the sniper’s target. After telling her he knew she visited the crime scene, Dante asked Anna’s impressions of the room. Anna told Dante the room was clean. Dante told her he was able to trace where the rifle came from. Alexis assured Sonny that Kristina was in any kind of danger. Nina (Cynthia Watros) called Sonny and gave him an update on Curtis’ condition. Nina told Sonny how Maxie left her a vague voicemail that something happened with Sasha. Cody refused to explain himself to Gladys as he came to see Sasha. Cody told Sasha he was glad she called him and wished he could help. Sasha asked whether she could talk with Cody alone. “I don’t care about Gladys. Are you okay?” Cody asked. “I screwed up big time,” Sasha answered. After witnessing his uncle’s surgery, TJ told Molly he understood why doctors weren’t permitted to operate on family members. Portia suggested Trina (Tabyana Ali) go in to see Curtis first. Dante told Anna the rifle was one the PCPD impounded back in 2021 belonging to the WSB and should be safely locked in Berlin. “Are you saying the Bureau wants me dead?” Anna asked Dante. “Kristina enough. Not everything is about you” Molly told her sister. Seeing how still Curtis was in the bed and all the machines, Trina ran out of the room. Mac admitted the PCPD has been running surveillance on The Savoy for months. And if Curtis was involved, it’s not because he wanted to be. Sam realized it had taken months and Mac was waiting because he didn’t want Cody caught in the trap he set for Selina. Sasha explained to Cody what happened at Logan’s. Cody told Sasha she could call him whenever she needed. Nina arrived and told Sasha she was glad she was okay. Sasha asked Gladys to fill Nina in while she went to get a drink. “Should I be worried?” Nina asked. “Our girl’s in trouble,” Gladys answered. Sonny received a text and told Alexis there was something he had to take care of. Sonny arrived at Anna’s house. He told her he got a text from Nicky and assured the next person he put to watch her would be invisible. Dante asked Sonny whether he knew any reason why the WSB would target him. Molly told Kristina she heard her saying she could give TJ a baby. Portia told Curtis everyone was waiting for him to get better. Trina felt silly for running out of the room like a little kid. Gladys told Nina she was concerned Sasha was getting confused again and losing touch with reality. Anna said she believed she was the intended target and there could be any number of people who wanted her dead. Mac told Sam he wanted to do right by Cody because he was Dominque’s son. Sam told Mac she thinks Selina helped Cody get the charges dropped. Cody told Sasha he was worried about her. Gladys asked Nina’s advice as since she was Sasha’s legal guardian should she report Sasha’s shoplifting. Kristina told Molly she was thinking about her little sister and was willing to give up a year of her life so she could have a baby. “And I’m selfish?” “I don’t want to live in a world without Curtis Ashford,” Portia told Curtis. Kristina angrily said Molly was right about her not to be her surrogate because her child could turn out like her. Nina told Gladys not to say anything to the court. After Cody left, Gladys told Sasha “You can’t count on Cody Bell…he’ll only get you into trouble.” Sam told Mac it may be too late to save Cody from himself. When she experienced a dizzy spill, Marshall (Robert Gossett) suggested they get her checked out. Trina told Stella and Marshall until Curtis woke up they wouldn’t know how much damage the bullet did. “He could be paralyzed” Trina said. “So open your eyes for me so I can tell you how much I love you. Please.” Portia begged Curtis. Anna made a decision: “I think we lure my enemy out into the open using me as bait.”
