A weekly column highlighting the Port Charles happenings during the past week on General Hospital. Read below to find out what you missed or to refresh your memory in time for next week.

Monday

Sonny (Maurice Bernard) joined Anna (Finola Hughes) on the terrace of The Metro Court and asked whether Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) knew someone was trying to kill her. Gregory (Gregory Harrison) held the elevator door open for Tracy (Jane Elliot). Alexis (Nancy Grahan) arrived to check on Molly (Brooke Anne Smith). At Aurora Media, Kristina (Kate Mansi) told Michael (Chad Duell) he’d have to get over his animosity towards Nina (Cynthia Watros). Book threw Cyrus (Jeff Kober) against the wall and said there was no one there to help him. Drew (Cameron Mathison) appeared to intervene. Lucy (Lynn Herring) told Felicia (Kristina Wagner) she couldn’t stop thinking about Martin (Michael E. Knight) getting fifty thousand dollars alimony from ex-wife number three. Tracy was annoyed when Monica called canceling at the last minute. Anna told Sonny she didn’t want to worry Valentin. Alexis and Molly reminisce about stuffed horse Valiant. Molly assured Alexis she may be all grown up but still needed her mom. Kristina urged Michael to make peace with Nina. Book told Drew this had nothing to do with him and ordered him to walk away. Cyrus clutches his chest while Book tells him he no longer had power at Pentonville. Drew threw Book against the table. Michael told Kristina she had good qualities. Anna said Sonny had a lot on his plate and didn’t need to add her to it. Sonny assured he’d always make time for her. Molly told Alexis she and TJ (Taj Bellows) definitely wanted a baby but didn’t know how they’d make it happen. Gregory asked Tracy to join him for dinner. Drew told Cyrus he had to get him to the infirmary. He didn’t see Book get up and grab a shiv from his shoe. Molly told Alexis she was starting to think Kristina being the surrogate was their best option. Michael offered to help Kristina. Sonny told Anna they didn’t have to pretend they weren’t friends, commenting that a part of her admired him even when she was trying to bring him to justice. Lucy wondered whether Martin and not ex-wife number three was the greedy one. Martin arrived. The guards broke up Book and Drew’s fight and threatened them with solitary confinement. Cyrus had a heart attack. “What if it wasn’t Victor?” Sonny asked Anna. Tracy was charmed by Gregory’s story of when he brought a friend’s dog to class. Kristina asked Michael to be on her foundation’s board of directors. Molly said Kristina could be the perfect choice to carry their baby. “What do you think?” Molly asked her mother. The guards let Drew help Cyrus, who Book insisted was faking. Molly asked Alexis to help her weigh the options. Alexis reminded Molly that Kristina would be more than the baby’s aunt, she’d be the biological mother and may not be able to detach. Michael accepted a position on the Board. He then told Kristina she underestimated their father. Anna and Sonny talked about the motive behind publicly identifying her as a double agent. Kristina told Michael he had to admit he still loved dad otherwise he wouldn’t have this much faith in him. Anna urged Sonny against having anything to do with Pikeman. Tracy noticed Gregory’s hand tremors as he attempted to sign the credit card receipt. Molly admitted she wasn’t looking at this from Kristina’s point of view. After Alexis left Molly’s, she got a call from Tracy who asked whether there was anything wrong with Gregory’s health. Lucy questioned Martin about his financial burden of paying alimony to three ex-wives. Martin commented it wasn’t like Cyrus could provide for their mother. Drew urged Cyrus to stay with him saying help was on the way.

Tuesday

Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) interrupted Anna (Finola Hughes) and Sonny’s (Maurice Benard) conversation. Carly (Laura Wright) asked Ava (Maura West) what’s going on when she showed up at her house when she knew Avery (Ava and Grace) was staying there for a sleepover. “It’s about your ALS, someone else knows” Alexis (Nancy Grahan) told Gregory (Gregory Harrison). Molly (Brooke Anne Smith) told TJ (Taj Bellows) the day’s been good for a lot of reasons. While Drew (Cameron Mathison) urged Cyrus (Jeff Kober) to stay with him, Renault had an out of body experience and found himself in a prison cell in Hell where he was greeted by Laura (Genie Francis) who said “This is exactly where you deserve to be for eternity.” Kristina (Kate Mansi) entered the terrace and explained Dante brought her there after she called him when her car broke down. “So, have you two figured out why you almost got shot?” Kristina asked Anna and Sonny. Molly showed TJ Valiant and told him Kristina brought him. Alexis told Gregory how Tracy called her and asked whether there was anything wrong with him. After Avery left the room to watch a movie with Donna, Carly asked Ava “What’s going on, does this have anything to do with Avery’s new nanny?” Laura told Cyrus he was dying and built this prison from the choices he’s made. Cyrus insisted he tried. While Kristina went to the ladies room to freshen up, Dante asked about the shooting. Trish, the hostess at The Metro Court, ran into Kristina in the ladies room and asked about Kristina’s youth center. Gregory thanked Alexis for covering for him with Tracy. Carly asked Ava whether Avery or Josslyn (Eden McCoy) were telling the truth about new nanny Betty. Cyrus confessed he regretted throwing away the opportunity to love Laura. Carly questioned Ava about how she and Sonny didn’t appear to be fighting and said it told her that Ava was up to her old tricks. Anna told Dante about Sonny’s theory. Trish told Kristina about her brother Teddy who was thrown out the house at fifteen by their father for being gay, adding Kristina will be helping a lot of teens. Molly told TJ whatever happened next they had to be on the same page. Cyrus told Laura how they both made a lot of mistakes and were so much alike. He wanted her to care about him saying he’d have someone to take care of “My little sister”. Laura told Cyrus how his manipulations led to his ruin. Cyrus insisted he’d never have hurt her. She said hurt people latch out and hurt other people. Cyrus told Laura how the night he took her hostage he allowed the police to shoot him. “I did it for you,” Cyrus said. Carly warned Ava she’d tell Sonny if she took Avery home. TJ admitted to Molly he wanted their child to have his DNA and was ready to have a child now. Molly wanted the same thing and said they needed to find a surrogate. The question was whether it would be Kristina. Alexis urged Gregory to tell his sons the truth. Laura told Cyrus he gave them both the opportunity to do better. Cyrus woke up and Drew told him help was on the way. Gregory assured Alexis he would tell Chase and Finn. But in the meantime, he intended to enjoy every minute he had left. TJ and Molly decided to register with an agency and start interviewing candidates to be their surrogate. Sonny urged Kristina to move through her doubts about having a baby. Dante agreed to stand down while Anna promised he’d be her first call if she needed him. Carly told Ava she thinks she and Sonny wanted Avery there to keep her safe. “Whatever you and Sonny are up to, I hope you know what you’re doing” Carly told Ava. After the paramedics arrived to take Cyrus to GH, the guard took Drew to solitary.

Wednesday

Laura (Genie Francis) told Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) that she and Kevin (Jon Lindstom) were leaving for the airport in an hour but he wasn’t coming with them. Martin (Michael E. Knight) came to see Cyrus (Jeff Kober) at GH and told his brother “I’m sorry about the heart attack I truly am. But continuing to compare yourself to God is truly going too far.” Ned (Wally Kurth) stayed overnight at the Quartermaine mansion because he was drunk from bar hopping the night before. Maxie (Kristen Storms) told Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) it never got easier being in love with a cop. Sam (Kelly Monaco) came to Kelly’s and asked Carly (Laura Wright) how Drew (Cameron Mathison) was doing because when she took Scout to visit, they wouldn’t let them in. After asking Frank whether the job was done, Sonny (Maurice Benard) said “Let’s go make a delivery.” Chase (Josh Swickward) told Austin (Roger Howarth) he had some questions for him. Olivia (Lisa LoCierco) told Ned how Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) brought him there after finding him stumbling out of a bar. She said he was too old for that. Kevin told Valentin they didn’t need him anymore. “I need you to give all my money away,” Cyrus told Martin. Maxie told Brook Lynn how she’ll learn to live with the worry that comes with loving a cop. She told Brook Lynn how what happened with Sasha (Sofia Mattsson) is causing trouble for Deception’s products. Austin told Chase about Ava (Maura West), Nina (Cynthia Watros) and Sonny being with him when Gordon tracked him down at The Floating Rib. Chase showed Austin a photo of Dex (Evan Hofer) on his cell phone and asked whether he recognized him. Carly told Sam how hard it was being away from Drew when they were just starting out. Sonny entered Kelly’s. Tracy (Jane Elliot) interrupted Maxie and Brook Lynn. Olivia asked Ned how many grandfathers did he see at the dive bars he hit. Chase told Austin to watch his back when he learned he was going to see Cyrus as a patient. Cyrus told Martin since his life was spared he planned to do the work he was intended to do. Sonny told Sam how Rocco was crazy about her. After Sam left, Sonny spoke with Carly saying he was there to make her an offer she couldn’t refuse. Laura asked Kevin to handle their checkout so she could talk with Valentin alone. Laura told Valentin she’s begun to care about him so she needed to tell him he needed to go back to Port Charles. Cyrus told Martin he granted him the authority to access his trust. He wanted Martin to use the money to help his brothers and sisters at Pentonville lead productive lives when they got out. “God has let me survive for this reason and I will not let him down” Cyrus told Martin. Ned told Olivia he wasn’t a grandfather; he was an artist and was free and wild. Ned called Olivia an uptight shrew. Tracy pretended she was at Deception to talk with Brook Lynn about Ned but after Maxie left, she asked her granddaughter what she had for her on the Deceptor. Sonny gave Carly a large supply of Corinthos Coffee to thank her for picking up Avery (Ava and Grace Scarola). Carly asked Sonny what was going on with him and Ava. He told her he was handling it. Chase entered asking to have a word with Sonny. Austin came to examine Cyrus and asked about Renault’s condition. Cyrus told him he was feeling no pain and was ready to do God’s work. Valentin told Laura he cared about her too. Laura told him Charlotte was back from summer camp and needed him. Laura told Valentin that Anna needed him. Olivia asked Leo what he thought of Eddie. Chase and Sonny spoke outside. Chase asked Sonny what Dex was doing at GH the night Gordon was shot. When Maxie came to order coffee and pastries, Carly asked how she found out she (Carly) was running Kelly’s. “Nina” Maxie answered. Martin called Laura and told her how Cyrus assigned him the task of giving away all his money. Laura told Kevin that Valentin was on his way back to Port Charles. Laura told Kevin she didn’t need Valentin’s kind of protection where they were going. “My mom was trying to help you, why were you trying to make her feel sad?” Leo asked Eddie. Brook Lynn told Tracy the only thing making a profit for Deception was the Deceptor and she wasn’t willing to risk that for her. Maxie commented on how driven Carly seemed. Carly told Maxie that Kelly’s was the first step. Sonny told Chase if he had any more questions for him to contact his lawyer. “Good luck detective” Sonny said then walked away. Tracy told Brook Lynn there were no friends in business then left to check on Ned. Eddie asked Olivia whether her offer for breakfast still stood. Laura assured Kevin she could handle being on Cassadine Island to look for Nikolas (Adam Huss). She was determined not to let bad memories of her experience on Cassadine Island stop her from finding her son. Cyrus told Austin he was given a second chance. “I do hope you can take advantage of it,” Austin said. “I have every intention of doing just that,” Cyrus said before Austin left. Sonny asked Carly about Drew and she told him he was okay. Carly thanked Sonny for the coffee. After Sonny left, Carly received a call from Sam who told her she called the prison to see if Scout could visit Drew and was told he wasn’t allowed any visitors until further notice. “Why? What’s going on?” Carly asked. “Because he’s locked up in solitary confinement” Sam answered.

Thursday

Ava (Maura West) came to GH to see Austin (Roger Howarth). Cody (Josh Kelly) found Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) at the Quartermaine Stables where she was hiding from her father, now the rocker known as Eddie Maine (Wally Kurth). Eddie thanked Olivia (Lisa LoCicero) for making him breakfast. TJ (Taj Bellows) and Molly prepared for their meeting with a surrogacy specialist. Spencer (Nicholas Chavez) commented about Josslyn (Eden McCoy) working at Kelly’s. She said she was helping her mother out. Esme (Avery Kristen Pohl) told Josslyn she wanted to spend her lunch break with Ace. Kristina (Katie Mansi) entered and was happy to finally meet her baby cousin Ace. At GH, Trina (Tabyana Ali) told Dex (Evan Hofer) that Curtis (Donnell Turner) was refusing to see her. Austin came to check on Curtis, who was refusing to go to physical therapy. After Austin left, Curtis threw a tray at the door as Stella (Vernee Watson) entered. Cody told Brook Lynn that Sasha (Sofia Mattsson) didn’t deserve to be in Ferncliff. Olivia told Eddie she was a wild child when she was in highschool. TJ and Molly met Claire Brown, the surrogacy matching specialist. She asked whether they wanted a gestational surrogate or a traditional one. Stella told Curtis she was so sorry. Trina told Dex ever since he learned he may never walk again he’s been refusing to see her. Esme was curious when she saw how coldly Josslyn and Kristina acted towards each other. Ava asked Austin whether he killed Gordon Stevens. Stella reminded Curtis he had a family who loved him. “I’m not the man I was and I never will be. This is my future now” Curtis told Stella. Trina told Dex how things changed between her and Curtis after the DNA test revealed he was her father. Spencer told Esme that Kristina was Team Sonny (Maurice Bernard) and Josslyn was Team Carly (Laura Wright). Cody disagreed with Brook Lynn that Sasha should be in Ferncliff. Claire asked TJ and Molly the type of surrogate they wanted Just then, Kristina entered saying “Josslyn is such a bitch.” Austin assured Ava he didn’t kill Gordon. TJ introduced Kristina to Claire. After Kristina left, Molly told Claire they wanted a traditional surrogate. Spencer asked Josslyn for a chocolate milkshake. Ava searched Austin’s file for information about Gordon. Trina told Dex how she was at fault for Curtis pushing her away. Austin gave Stella and Curtis information about the treatment center he’d be going to after leaving GH. Stella said she’d take it from here. Spencer told Josslyn since his first priority was Ace it wasn’t as hard being around Esme as it used to be. Esme told Eddie she wouldn’t give up her son for anything in the world. Cody told Brook Lynn that Sasha’s drink could have been drugged and she didn’t know it. If not, Gladys (Bonnie Burroughs) could be behind this. Claire told TJ and Molly she would put together a list of surrogates that meant their criteria. After Claire left, Molly wondered if Kristina showed up at the right time. Kristina returned to Kelly’s and suggested Spencer take Ace and Esme to the park. Dex told Trina how hard it must be for Curtis not being able to protect her. After she couldn’t find anything about Gordon in his files, Ava demanded to know who Gordon Eddie and Olivia bonded when she told him about the clubs she used to hit when she was young. Cody learned Gladys kept him off Sasha’s approved list of visitors. Molly told TJ after the way she barged in, it was better they didn’t use Kristina as their surrogate. Spencer decided to take Kristina’s advice and go to the park with Ace and Esme. Dex told Trina to let Curtis know she was there for him but back off if he didn’t want it. Curtis cried as he punched his legs and didn’t feel anything. Ava told Austin she told Sonny he helped her. “Did you tell Sonny that you killed Nikolas?” Austin asked.

Friday

At GH, Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) was handed an important message. It was an envelope with a card with boxes to be checked for No or Yes to dinner. Michael (Chad Duell) arrived at Charlie’s. Kristina (Kate Mansi) told him according to Josslyn (Eden McCoy), Charlie’s was an enemy camp as it was a Sonny (Maurice Benard) Nina (Cynthia Watros) hangout. Nina came to visit Willow (Katelyn MacMuellen). Elizabeth checked the Yes box and handed the note back to be given to Dr. Finn (Michael Easton) then walked away. Finn received the signed card back. Elizabeth interrupted Ava (Maura West) and Austin (Roger Howarth) and asked Ava whether she’s heard from Nikolas (Adam Huss). In Greece, Laura (Genie Francis) and Kevin (Jon Lindstrom) prepared to enter the Cassadine house where Starvos held Laura for two years. Anna (Finola Hughes) happily greeted Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) when she found him waiting for her in her house. Finn opened the envelope and smiled when he saw the Yes and said it was the best news. Elizabeth asked Austin whether Detective Chase (Josh Swickward) found him because he had questions about the body that was found in the alley by the same man who was lurking outside his office Dex Heller (Evan Hofer). Kristina commented that Josslyn needed to just get over it because the heart wants what it wants. Willow was learning how to knit. She told Nina she just wanted her life back. Nina said she wanted to learn what she liked and asked whether Willow would tell her. Michael wasn’t happy to come with dinner for Willow and find Nina, who left. Anna told Valentin about the shooting. Laura and Kevin went to search the sub basement of the Cassadine house. “Whatever we find, we face together” Laura told Kevin. Finn was speechless when Elizabeth entered the restaurant and said he was glad she came. Austin told Ava when Dex was lurking outside his office Mason was there with Gordon. Finding nothing in the sub basement, Laura suggested they search the third floor which was Nikolas’ nursery when he was a baby. Anna told Valentin about the ghost gun. Willow assured Michael that Nina didn’t do anything to upset her. Willow showed Michael the makings of the awful sock she was trying to make for Amelia to wear. Nina arrived at Charlie’s and offered to help Kristina in any way she could with the Corinthos Davis House. Anna speculated that the person targeting her could see her as a threat. Since they couldn’t find Nikolas, Laura worried that her son couldn’t have gone into hiding and someone could have hurt him. Ava didn’t like the information Austin gave to Chase. “Good grief Austin, you’re really bad at this.” Willow told Michael she wished she could go back to her career. Kristina told Nina she didn’t have to try to win her over because her dad’s happiness was the only thing that mattered and Nina made him happy. Finn and Elizabeth talked about how complicated they both were. Finn admitted how he’d considered getting a transfer from GH because it was hurt seeing her everyday as he couldn’t take his eyes off her. Ava told Austin now that they knew who all the players were and could arm themselves. Laura wondered whether Nikolas had turned his back on his family again and abandoned his two sons. Laura told Kevin she knew where they needed to go next. Anna finally told Valentin she loved him. Kristina told Nina not to worry about Michael and concentrate on working on her relationship with Willow, assuring Michael would soften when he saw that. Michael told Willow because he almost lost her he wanted to savor every moment with her and their family. Willow assured their family would always come first. Elizabeth thanked Finn for dinner and he thanked her for coming. “I really look forward to all our complications,” Elizabeth said. “Let’s do it again soon,” Finn said.
