A weekly column highlighting the Port Charles happenings during the past week on General Hospital. Read below to find out what you missed or to refresh your memory in time for next week.

Monday

Anna (Finola Hughes) woke up to find Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) gone. She called out his name. Diane (Carolyn Henessey) and Robert (Tristan Rogers) awaited the arrival of Judge Barnes. While waiting, Robert asked, “How was the car show?” Anna used the pin holding up the card from the flowers to pick the lock of Valentin’s case. Olivia (Lisa LoCierco) found Eddie (Wally Kurth) eating cold lasagna. He agreed to let her heat it up. Anna got the case opened. Josslyn (Eden McCoy) told Carly (Laura Wright) she was going to The Metro Cour Pool to binge Grey’s Anatomy (The book, not the show). After Josslyn left, Carly said she’d accept the charges for a collect call from Pentonville. While she was reading the papers, Valentin entered. Betty entered Sonny’s (Maurice Benard) penthouse. “Is Avery ready to go?” Betty asked. “You’re not getting anywhere near Avery” Sonny answers. Drew (Cameron Mathison) asked how Carly knew how long he was supposed to be in solitary. “Carly, what did you do?” he asked. Sonny lied that Avery was sick and he didn’t want her to catch it. He gave some extra money. After Betty left, Sonny called for Dex (Evan Hofer) and said “You know what to do.” Eddie admitted lasagna was better heated. Diane told Robert about the car show and how she took Chris Simmons when Alexis (Nancy Grahan) couldn’t attend. “You can help me find who is literally trying to destroy my life and why” Anna told Valentin. He told Anna they had to prepare themselves that there’s not going to be any easy answers. While Anna went to take a shower, Valentin received a text from Sonny. Robert received a phone call about the fire at Anna’s house. Carly told Drew she didn’t do anything; Sonny did. Drew told Carly he got put in solitary confinement for helping Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober). After ordering brunch, Betty watched as Dex entered The Metro Court Pool and passionately kissed Josslyn. Eddie told Olivia how he found Tracy (Jane Eliott) nursing a headover. Eddie told Olivia he was inspired by his muse Elvis Presley and was writing a song. He told Olivia that music made him who he was. Ned asked whether Olivia wanted to hear his song. While he went to get his guitar, Olivia received a call from Monica (Leslie Charleson). Robert told Diane he had to go see Anna and asked her to tell Judge Barnes he’d send his ADA over. Sonny asked what the message he had Anna delivered was about. Since he didn’t have a lot of time to talk, Drew asked Carly to come see him today if she could because he really missed her. “Get a room” Betty told Dex and Josslyn, annoyed by the PDA. She texts Mason that Avery was sick so she was taking the day off. “Drew Cain, we meet again,” Cyrus said when Drew entered the library. Monica told Olivia she was calling because she wanted to check in with her to see how everything was going with Ned. Robert knocked on the room door and Anna rushed into his arms when she let him in. Anna told Robert how the memories she wanted to hold on for Robin (Kimberly McCullough) were gone. Valentin told Sonny he couldn’t call off his association with Pikeman. “Watch me,” Sonny said. Diane arrived at Carly’s house. Cyrus told Drew his heartache made him realize how little they had control over their lives. Cyrus told Drew he owed him his life. When Betty received a call, Drew asked Josslyn whether she mind switching seats, saying he could use some sun when actually he wanted to hear Betty better. After hanging up with Monica, Olivia said she was ready for that song. Anna asked Robert to stay with her while she talked with Robin and told her what happened. When Betty left, Dex told Josslyn he’d call her later then followed Betty. Carly asked Diane what’s going on as she could use a distraction. Valentin told Sonny he was looking out for him because Pikeman was ruthless and shouldn’t be provoked. Ned sang his song for Olivia. She thanked him for sharing his beautiful song with her. Diane told Carly about her romantic problems with Robert. “I want you to follow someone else. Someone we have to pay close attention to” Sonny told Dex. Valentin told someone on the phone how they made a mistake in rushing things. After hanging up with Robin, Anna and Robert talked about how worried their daughter was but also how strong. Anna told Robert she had to figure out who she could and couldn’t trust. “As God is my witness, I’ll find a way to repay you for everything” Cyrus told Drew.

Tuesday

Anna (Finola Hughes) arrived at the PCPD to meet with Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) to see the evidence he had that Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) wasn’t at ELQ at the time of the fire. Dante wanted Anna to get a bodyguard. But she told him she wouldn’t let him take away the one thing she had left which was her privacy. Finn (Michael Easton) attended an AA meeting. Drew (Cameron Mathison) thought about when Cyrus (Jeff Kober) told him to find another church group if he didn’t want to join his. Nina (Cynthia Watros) met with Martin (Michael E. Knight) at the park. She asked whether he was still getting pressure from the SEC to reveal his source. Carly (Laura Wright) was happy to see Willow (Katelyn MacMuellen) when her daughter-in-law entered Kelly’s. Willow told Carly there was something she could do for her. Austin (Roger Howarth) promised Ava (Maura West) she wouldn’t go to jail for killing Nikolas (Adam Huss) because everything was under control. Alexis (Nancy Grahan) arrived at the AA meeting in time to hear Finn say he had a good friend who knew the truth about someone he cared about going through something bad. Martin assured Nina neither Carly nor Willow would find out she was the one who turned in Drew and Carly because Drew took a plea deal. Carly told Willow she was going to see Drew. Anna told Dante someone was out to destroy her life. Austin told Ava the whole nightmare would soon be over. Austin got a call and had to go to work. Dex (Evan Hofer) watched as Dr. Gatlin-Holt left his office. Austin greeted Jake (Hudson West) and Wyatt, who had injured his wrist. TJ (Taj Bellows) sat in on Gregory’s (Gregory Harrison) exam. Finn talked about how he wouldn’t start using again because he had someone who needed him to be there for them. Cyrus took a shower and thanked God for allowing him to see another day. Nina walked into Kelly’s as Willow asked Carly whether she was convinced Ned was the one who turned her in. Carly left Kelly’s to go visit Drew. Anna told Dante she was lucky to have a friend like him. Dante questioned Anna about why Valentin lied to her. He showed Anna the evidence he had that Valentin lied to her about where he was and the ELQ water main break. “Could Valentin want you totally dependent on him?” Dante asked. Anna assured Valentin loved her. Austin told Wyatt he wouldn’t be able to play cello at the band concert. The AA meeting ended after Finn led the group in the serenity prayer. The doctor told Gregory he will need to be fitted for hand and leg braces and he shouldn’t be driving. Cyrus began shaving. Willow called it an outrage Drew was sent to Pentonville. Alexis told Finn how she wanted to tell him but Gregory didn’t want her to say anything. Finn told Alexis he understood and wasn’t angry with her. Gregory approached Jake and Wyatt. Dante told Anna she couldn’t overlook Valentin’s past. Anna told Dante that she believes Valentin lied to her and it had something to do with Pikeman. Cyrus began cutting his hair. Mason told Austin he had to deliver the flash drive to the boss. TJ entered Austin’s office and commented he knew Mason from someone. Carly asked Drew why he had to intervene to help Cyrus. “Why couldn’t you just walk away?” Carly asked. Willow told Nina they had to find a way to have a relationship. Drew told Carly how he saved Cyrus’ life by giving him CPR. Cyrus looked at his short hair cut and commented how God worked in mysterious ways. Mason assured TJ they’ve never met. Dante speculated that Pikeman was after Sonny and hired Valentin to set him up. Finn and Alexis commented on how stubborn Gregory was. Finn and Elizabeth overheard Gregory giving Wyatt some good advice. Anna and Dante wondered whether Pikeman was threatening Charlotte (Scarlett Fernandez) to get Valentin to work for them. “We need to find out what the truth is, no matter where it leads us” Anna told Dante. Nina told Ava no one would ever know she was the one who turned Drew and Carly into the SEC as long as Ava stayed quiet. “What’s he doing here?’ Carly wondered when Austin walked in. Mason thanked someone for taking the time to meet with him. “Here’s your patient Dr. Gatlin-Holt” the guard told Austin as Cyrus turned around.

Wednesday

Anna (Finola Hughes) came to Possulo’s Restaurant. Sonny (Maurice Benard) asked whether she was hungry and offered to make her a very special lunch. Nurse Janice told Gladys (Bonnie Burroughs) how Sasha (Sofia Mattsson) was going through withdrawal. Selina (Lydia Look) approached Marshall (Robert Gossett) at The Metro Court Pool and told him it was a good chance to revisit her offer to purchase The Savoy. Stella (Vernee Watson) returned to work at GH. Trina (Tabyana Ali) startled Ava (Maura West). Carly (Laura West) wondered why Austin (Roger Howarth) at Pentonville, commenting to Drew (Cameron Mathison) there was something about him she didn’t trust. “Mr. Renault, how about we just get this over with?” Austin said to Cyrus (Jeff Kober). “How’s Spencer?” Ava asked Trina. “I wouldn’t know…you’ll have to ask Esme ” Trina answered. Dex (Evan Hofer) walked into the visitor’s room. Carly asked Drew whether Cyrus’ enemies would now be targeting him. Cyrus told Austin how lucky he was to survive his heartache. Anna called the food delicious and said Sonny was a good cook. Anna told Sonny she’s glad no one was hurt when her house burned down. Sonny said someone deliberately wanted to take what she valued and ruin her life. Anna commented they were doing a good job. Felicia (Kristina Wagner) watched as Stella offered aid and comfort as a patient advocate. Selina told Marshall The Savoy would go under unless he sold the club to her. Sasha told Gladys that everything hurted. “What have you done to my daughter-in-law?” Gladys asked when Dr. Montague entered. Sonny asked about Anna’s progress and finding out who burned down her house. Dex told Book he worked for Sonny Cornithos who sent him there with a message. Austin reminded Cyrus he’d done everything he’d ask him to do and he was done and wanted out. “Oh, do you now” Cyrus said. Felicia was impressed watching how well Stella worked as a patient advocate. Gladys told Dr. Montague that Sasha was in this situation because of him. “All of this is too much and I want it to stop,” Gladys said. “Sure Gladys anything you want. That is after you’ve paid me for all my trouble. I’d say fifty thousand should do the trick” Dr. Montague told Stella. Ava left after Spencer (Nicholas Chavez) arrived. Trina said they had much better things to do than talk about the new showing. Felicia introduced herself to Stella and commented how remarkable it was the way she comforted that patient. Stella said her job was rewarding. Marshall told Selina her poker game in the backroom and how being welcomed into the club were done as his first job as manager. “You ain’t got nothing on me lady” Marshall said. Selina said everyone had something that could be used against them; it was just a matter of her finding it. Dr. Montague told Gladys that Sasha wasn’t leaving Ferncliff until he got paid. Sonny reminded Anna he was available and had a lot of resources if she needed it. Dex told Book that Sonny wanted Drew Cain to be left alone. Carly told Drew there had to be a way to overturn the judge’s decision. Austin thanked Cyrus for all he did for him as a kid, paying for his education and checking in on him and said he was grateful. But he was done…especially since he told Ava Jerome her husband was dead when he was the one who saved his life. Ava came to Possulo’s and asked whether Sonny’s figured out who Austin and Mason’s mysterious boss was. Anna came to Jordan (Tanisha Harper) at The Metro Court and told her about having lunch with Sonny. Since she was no longer in law enforcement, there wasn’t a conflict of interest. Marshall told Selina their conversation was done. Felicia told Stella she was interested in becoming a patient advocate. Drew told Carly hoping for an early release was its own torture. Dex told Book regardless whether Drew spent all day everyday with Cyrus Renault, Book was to stay away from him. Before Austin left, Cyrus told him he’d do God’s work with the information he brought him. Selina didn’t care about Gladys’ problems in selling Sasha’s Deception stock, she just wanted her money. Jordan asked Anna whether she thought the arson could be connected to the shooting. Spencer encouraged Trina not to count Curtis (Donnell Turner) out yet, reminding her it was something between her mom and Curtis. “The most important thing you can do is stand by your parents,” Spencer told Trina. Dr. Montague told Sasha that Gladys went to save her and she’d better hope she’d come through. Selina told Gladys she was shutting down the poker game which meant no more extensions, no more credit. “Payment in full,” Selina said. Anna told Jordan she believed the arson and shooting weren’t connected. Stella told Marshall about Felicia asking about her job as a patient advocate. “I believe I changed somebody’s life today.” Felicia filled out the Patient Advocate Form. Spencer was happy to see Trina smile as he succeeded in cheering her up. “Thank you for reminding my family was all that matters” Trina said then asked whether Spencer, Ace and Esme (Avery Kristen) would all still live together once Laura (Genie Francis) and Kevin (Jon Lindstrom) got back. Sonny told Ava he’d deal with Austin and Mason’s boss once they found out who it was. Carly told Drew no matter what happened she was with him. She and Dex made eye contact.

Thursday

Sonny (Maurice Benard) came to Kelly’s and told Carly (Laura Wright) he wanted information about her visit to Pentonville. Ava (Maura West) came to GH to see Portia (Brooke Kerr) and told her how she was at the gallery earlier with Trina (Tabyana Ali) who gave her an update about Curtis (Donnell Turner). Ava asked whether there was anything she could do. Curtis continued to work hard with his physical therapy. Spencer (Nicholas Chavez) admitted he couldn’t give Trina a simple straightforward answer about where he’d be living in the future. Gladys (Bonnie Burroughs) told Lucy (Lynn Herring) and Maxie (Kristen Storms) she needed to sell Sasha’s (Sofia Mattsson) Deception stock but couldn’t. Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) asked Sam (Kelly Monaco) to go check on Sasha. Cody (Josh Kelly) fed a horse carrots and talked about Sasha when Mac (John J. York) arrived. “What the hell do you want?!” Cody angrily asked. Dante told Sam how Cody was trying to act crazy to get himself committed in order to help Sasha. Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) entered as Maxie told Gladys she couldn’t steal Sasha’s Deception stock because of an intellectual property lawsuit. Ava encouraged Portia to give Spencer a chance for Trina’s sake. Spencer told Trina he wanted to make sure Ace felt safe, secure and loved unlike he did as a child. He told Trina how when he was eight years old his best friend was his chauffeur. “All I wanted was to be part of a real family.” Spencer said. He talked about how his father abandoned his little brother just like he did him. Trina said Victor (Charles Shaughnessy) could have done something to his father so he shouldn’t think the worst. Sonny asked Carly whether she saw Gatlin-Holt while she was visiting Drew and whether he was there with anyone. Jordan told Curtis that someone burned down Anna’s (Finola Hughes) house. Portia told Ava she was unsure where she stood with Curtis or what he wanted. Trina reminded Spencer of the story he told her of how his father helped ease his fear when he was scared to get on the horse for the first time. Carly told Sonny that Austin headed for trouble because he was seeing Ava. Dante told Sam he worried if Cody were committed he wouldn’t be able to get out. Mac told Cody how his mother Dominique was also sent to a mental institution. Sonny told Carly he didn’t care whether Austin was seeing Ava. Portia told Ava how proud Curtis was and how she told her husband she was in it for the long haul. Curtis told Jordan the arson and the shooting could have been just to send a message. Spencer received a text from Esme (Avery Kristen Pohl) who wanted to know whether he was coming home for dinner. Gladys shouted she needed to sell the stock because she needed the money. Mac told Cody he had to look out for him because it’s what Dominque would have wanted. Sam entered. Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) came over to Sam and Dante’s place. After telling Sam how Cody wouldn’t listen to reason, Mac left. Sam told Cody to drop the act saying she wasn’t going anywhere until he told her what’s going on. Sonny told Carly how Dex was there to make sure an inmate named Book wouldn’t bother Drew. Portia arrived at the Jerome Gallery. “You can’t con a con. I know a play when I see one” Sam told Cody. “Then help me pull it off,” Cody asked Sam. Maxie told Gladys they couldn’t do anything about the stock. Curtis saw a patient with artificial limbs walking well and wondered whether he could ever get that far. Spencer left. Portia told Trina she brought her dinner to celebrate her first week back at the gallery. Sam told Cody his plan wouldn’t work because once he got in, it really hurt getting out. Charlotte (Scarlett Fernandez) told her father how hard it was seeing her mother. When Charlotte left the room, Valentin asked Dante not to take Charlotte to visit Lulu (Emme Rylan) because it was upsetting to her. Dante told Valentin how Charlotte asked to see her mother and he would take her without asking Valentin’s permission. Charlotte came back downstairs and then they left. The patient told Curtis he couldn’t compare his situation with others. Portia told Trina how much she wanted to visit Curtis but it was hard because he was pushing her away. “There are no easy answers,” Trina told her mother then hugged Portia. Sonny told Carly that Austin gets under his skin. “And I’m gonna find out why” Sonny said then left Kelly’s.

Friday

Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) was happy to see Willow (Katelyn MacMuellen) but worried she had a setback. Willow said she was there because she wanted to get back to work. Tracy (Jane Eliott) was happy that the backgammon score was 47 to 29 and she was winning. “I love to win,” she told Finn (Michael Easton). “I won’t help you much let be the one who commits you” Sam (Kelly Monaco) told Cody (Josh Kelly). Sonny (Maurice Benard) came to Nina’s (Cynthia Watros) office at Crimson and assured nothing was wrong. Kristina (Kate Mansi) saw Alexis (Nancy Grahan) and Molly (Brooke Anne Smith) meeting with surrogate Andrea Gates at The Metro Court Pool. Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) spoke with someone on the phone and said she could kill her. Tracy asked Finn what was wrong with Gregory (Gregory). He told her not to pursue that line of questioning because he preferred not to lie to her. When he asked whether she was forcing Brook Lynn to work at Deception, Tracy said she’d like to ask him not to pursue that line of questioning because she preferred not to lie to him. Elizabeth told Willow once she received documentation Willow was well enough to return back to work she’d welcome her. Nina loved the new necklace Sonny gave her. Cody told Sam he’d give her power of attorney so she could legally commit him. But Sam said she wouldn’t do anything to hurt Sasha (Sofia Mattsson). Kristina continued to watch from the sidelines as Molly got more comfortable with Andrea. Tracy won again. Since they couldn’t talk about Gregory or Brook Lynn, Finn suggested they talk about Luke (Anthony Geary). Gregory came to GH and told Elizabeth he came to see her and it was very important. “I am worried about Sasha and you traumatizing her more. Are you willing to take that risk?” Sam asked Cody. Sonny told Nina he never wanted her to feel like an employee. Nina told Sonny she loved all of him and asked that he let her in. “Maybe I can help you…I can handle it,” Nina said. “Some things are better not knowing,” Sonny told Nina. Willow ran into Kristina at GH. Both were there to see Dr. Randolph (Cassandra James). Kristina commented it was probably best she didn’t see Dr. Randolph tonight. Gregory told Elizabeth about falling while watching Violet (Jophelle Love). “I told Finn and now I’m telling you…I have ALS.” Brook Lynn stormed in and asked her grandmother “How could you?” “We’re in the middle of a game,” Tracy said. “Now you’re not,” Brook Lynn said, knocking the backgammon set on the floor. Nina and Sonny had a candlelit, romantic dinner in her office. Nina told Sonny she wanted a winter wedding and would wear an off white gown. Sonny liked Nina’s ideas, except them being featured in Crimson magazine. Sonny realized Nina wanted to have a winter wedding to give Willow time to come around to participate. Kristina told Willow she felt left out of her sister’s life. Alexis asked Andrea what being pregnant meant to her. Cody told Sam that Sasha’s breakdown right when she was going to retake control of her life was suspicious. Finn left to allow Tracy and Brook Lynn to talk alone. Brook Lynn confronted her grandmother about hurting her friends. Cody told Sam that Sasha was in Ferncliff because she was in the way of Gladys’ (Bonnie Burroughs) debt and gambling addiction. “So are you going to let Sasha rot in Ferncliff…or are you going to help me get in to help her?” Cody asked Sam. Sonny told Nina they had to be thoughtful for everything they had. Kristina told Willow about TJ (Taj Bellows) and Molly’s infertility problems and how she offered to be their surrogate. Andrea told Alexis she had an easy pregnancy with her son and wanted to give the joy of parenthood to TJ and Molly.Alexis thanked Andrea for the gift she was giving to her child Molly. Gregory told Elizabeth although he dreaded what was happening to him he could dread it a little less knowing Finn had her. Brook Lynn was shocked when Tracy told her the plan was for Deception to crumble before it had a chance to get back on its feet. Elizabeth promised Gregory to do everything she could to support him and Finn and to be there for Chase (Josh Swickward) and Violet. Elizabeth also promised to help Gregory enjoy the good days ahead. Finn watched them hug. After Andrea left, Alexis told Molly she liked her. Willow assured Kristina once the baby got there, it would all get easier. Kristina hoped things would get easier for Nina and Willow. “I like the sound of that,”Willow said. Sonny left when he had to take a call. Cody asked Sam wouldn’t she want someone to help her and not sit on the sideline. “Okay I’ll do it. I’ll have you committed,”Sam told Cody.
