A weekly column highlighting the Port Charles happenings during the past week on General Hospital. Read below to find out what you missed or to refresh your memory in time for next week.

Monday

Curtis (Donnell Turner) returned to The Savoy for the first time since he was shot. Meeka welcomed him back and added “It’s about time.” “That food you got for us looks amazing” Esme (Avery Kristen Pohl) said, assuming the gourmet meal Spencer (Nicholas Chavez) was laying out was for them. Maxie (Kristen Storms) entered Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) and Lulu’s (Emme Rylan) house and immediately felt closer to her friend. James panicked when he couldn’t find his favorite sweatshirt. But Georgie saved the day by finding it and giving it to her little brother. Mac (John J. York) and Felicia (Kristina Wagner) congratulated them on their new home. Michael (Chad Duell) called Carly (Laura Wright) who decided not to go to Sonny’s (Maurice Benard) arraignment because she didn’t want to be sucked back into his life. But she asked Michael to call her as soon as there was news. Finn (Michael Easton), Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst), Jake (Hudson West) and Violet (Jophelle Love) entered. But Violet announced “We can’t eat here. Kelly’s has its own softball team…they’re the enemy.” Diane (Carolyn Henessey) was glad to see Nina (Cynthia Watros), Dante, Michael and Kristina (Kate Mansi) in the courtroom. “Good you’re all here. A strong support of family is a good optic even for the hardened of judges” Diane said. Sonny was brought into the courtroom. Carly assured Violet she wouldn’t try to sabotage the GH team because Kelly’s team was going to beat them. Violet warned she was keeping her eye on Carly. James took Mac to see his new room. Maxie told Kristina that Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Eliott) was taking them to court and brought on this hotshot attorney from Jackson Montgomery. “You know him?” Maxie asked upon seeing her mother’s response. “He could have had your mother thrown into jail” Mac answered. Esme suggested they get Ace swimming lessons next spring for when the pool reopens. “Did you get the food? I’m starving” Trina (Tabyana Ali) asked when Spencer let her in. She wasn’t happy to see Esme sitting there. Curtis thanked Meeka for stepping up as assistant manager. TJ (Taj Bellows) entered The Savoy. Sonny assured Kristina “I got this.” Then, he asked to speak with Dante alone. He thanked his son for being there but told his son he could leave. Dante told Sonny there was nowhere in the oath he took with the PCPD that said he couldn’t support his father so he wasn’t leaving. Spencer suggested Esme stay since there was enough food for all of them. But Esme said it would only take a few minutes to gather Ace’s baby things and leave. Violet speculated about Kelly’s softball team, asking Jake (Hudson West) what he knew. Jake answered he knew what she did. Elizabeth went to the bar for napkins and talked with Carly about Sonny’s arrest. Mac took James and Georgie to Kelly’s to pick up some dessert. Felicia told Maxie about breaking into Jackson Montgomery’s (Walt Willey) office and safe. She assured Maxie she and Mac would support her. But Maxie said she was going to stand on her own two feet. Michael met with Dex (Evan Hofer) outside the courtroom and they talked about the flash drive. The Honorable Judge Jarrett entered and took the stand. Trina told Spencer she wasn’t hungry anymore, adding that the boundaries between he and Esme as roommates and Spencer’s caretakers were blurring. Elizabeth came up to Esme and commented how big Ace was getting. TJ and Molly told Jordan and Curtis how they’d know in a few days if their surrogate’s procedure was successful. Georgie told Mac how she was worried about her mom. Mac assured “If your mom is worried about anything we’ll take care of it.” The US attorneys announced they were dropping the charges because they thought they had overwhelming evidence but turns out, they didn’t. So, Judge Jarrett dismissed the case without prejudice but reminded Sonny the charges could be refiled at any time. Sonny’s family was relieved and Diane repeated the judge’s words “You’re free to go.” Mac was touched when James called him a hero. Maxie told Felicia she thought her mother’s idea to be a patient advocate was cool. Felicia added how she wanted to be there for patients like Stella Henry (Vernee Watson) was. Jake told his family he had stuff to do and would meet them at the game. After they left, Jake took a seat in the corner. Carly commented to Esme how she remembered when her first was as young as Ace. Spencer told Trina any romantic feelings he had for Esme were gone. The only person he wanted to be with was her. “And I can prove it,” Spencer said than left the room. Jordan told Curtis she would be there for him because he would always be family. The FBI agent told the US attorney they got played by Cornithos. Diane commented how the outcome didn’t seem to come as a surprise to Sonny. Mac, Georgie and James returned home. James called the house the best ever. Spencer finally gave Trina the porcelain turtle doves. Michael called Carly and told his mother all the charges against Sonny were dropped. “Spencer and Trina can have their date. We don’t care, do we buddy. As long as we have each other,” Esme told Ace as she fed her son a buddy. Jake smiled when Charlotte (Scarlette Fernandez) entered Kelly’s. “Charlotte, I got us a table” Jakes said, pulling the chair out for her. Sonny asked Nina to give him a minute alone with Dex. Curtis told Meeka he was just taking stock to figure out where he fit in. Trina suggested Spencer take one dove and she take the other as a reminder they are a match pair. “And like these two doves, we belong together,” Trina said. She and Spencer kissed. Jake and Charlotte shared an ice cream sundae. Jake told Charlotte he started a new painting and was painting a horse because he knew she liked them. “I can’t wait to see it,” Charlotte said with a smile. Esme asked Carly whether she still rented the rooms above the docks and if there was a vacancy. Sonny told Dex that when the Feds opened the crates up they found incredible coffee beans. “You did good. Take the rest of the night off” Sonny told Dex then left with Nina.

Tuesday

“Victory!” Violet shouted as she, Finn (Michael Easton) and Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) entered Charlie’s. GH team beat Kelly’s team 4 to 24. PCPD softball team entered next. Sam (Kelly Monaco) substituted for Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) and helped them win. Kristina (Kate Mansi) celebrated the winning team saying the first round of drinks were on her. Nina (Cynthia Watros) was glad Sonny (Maurice Benard) was home. Gladys (Bonnie Burroughs) overheard Nurse Janice giving a statement to the police about Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) and Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) leaving Ferncliff. Cody and Sasha arrived at the hideaway cabin where Cody found the key where Sam left it in the woodpile. “We made it,” Cody said. Willow (Katelyn MacMuellen) told Michael (Chad Duell) she was glad she was able to cheer and be normal at the game. Sam and Dante drank a toast to Sonny. Sonny told Nina there was no way he would have been convicted. Nurse Janice told Gladys she didn’t know whether Cody Bell was kidnapping Sasha or whether she was escaping with him. Cody tried to get Sasha to drink water to stay hydrated. Sasha suddenly panicked and told Cody to stay away from her. Kristina commented there should be a law for harassing the public while making a false arrest. Michael berated himself for letting his self righteous anger take over. “Willow, I don’t want my father to go to prison.” Elizabeth told Finn how Jake (Hudson West) texted her and said he was being detained and would be there soon. Just then, Jake entered with Charlotte (Scarlett Fernandez). “I guess we know what detained him,” Finn said. Sonny told her how the FBI expected to find contraband but found coffee beans instead. “Are you telling me you set up the FBI?” Nina asked. Cody told Sasha she could do this if not for herself for Brando (Johnny Wactor) and Liam. Violet asked Jake whether he and Charlotte were on a date. Michael told Willow he had something he needed to take care of. Willow called Wiley. Finn stopped Violet from going to Jake and Charlotte to hear about the date. Elizabeth commented about how Finn would feel when Violet was Jake’s age and started dating. Cody told Sasha how Brando would want her to fight. Sasha told Cody every person she ever loved was gone. “Everyone fades. I look around and don’t even know where I belong anymore” Sasha said. Cody told Sasha she had people who loved her. “I have nobody left,” Sasha said. “You have me,” Cody told Sasha. Sonny told Nina about his plan involving phony intel. Nina told Sonny she knew what she was getting into and had no regrets and was ready to share her life with him and all of its complications. As they started to kiss, there was a knock on the door. Sonny was surprised when he was told his son was there to see him. But instead of Dante, it was Michael. Nina left when she got a text from Gladys saying she needed to see her out back. After Nina left, Michael told Sonny there was something he needed to tell him. Violet told Willow how she wanted to hear about Jake and Charlotte’s date. Chase received a call from dispatch and told Dante an APB was out on two prisoners who escaped Ferncliff. “Sasha Gilmore and Cody Bell,” Dante said. Cody assured Sasha she would get better. “Sasha’s been kidnapped,” Gladys told Nina. Sonny told Michael he was glad he was at the courtroom today. Charlotte suggested Jake do the illustrations for a graphic novel she planned on writing. Willow was at a loss for words when Violet said if Jake and Charlotte wanted to be alone why would they come to Charlie’s. Dante told Sam how Cody and Sasha escaped Ferncliff. “But you knew that,” he added. Cody promised Sasha she was safe and would never have to go through anything like that again. Gladys told Nina how she went to Ferncliff to pick Sasha up and learned she’d been kidnapped by Cody Bell. Kristina asked where Michael was. Michael told Sonny how he’s become someone he didn’t want to be. “People let people down. That doesn’t mean you have to destroy them” Michael told Sonny. “Michael, what did you come here to tell me?” Sonny asked. Dante told Sam he hoped everything worked out and Cody and Sasha were safe. Willow told Kristina if Michael was doing what she thought it was long overdue. Michael told Sonny he was very happy he beat the charges. Sonny told Michael no matter what he was his son and he loved him. “I love you too,” Michael said before leaving. Nina reasoned Cody probably went there to rescue Sasha. But Gladys said Cody was probably working with the doctor. “Now Sasha’s in more danger than ever.” Sasha reached out for Cody’s hand as she tried to fall asleep.

Wednesday

Lucy (Lynn Herring) came to the Quartermaine mansion to see Tracy (Jane Eliott). Maxie (Kristen Storms) came to see Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton). Ava (Maura West) was annoyed when Mason showed up at the Jerome Gallery. “You set us up. The boss is pissed that’s not good” Mason said. Sonny (Maurice Benard) was at Carly’s (Laura Wright) house. Carly commented to Sonny they both knew everything was okay with the FBI. Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) told Sam (Kelly Monaco) now was the time to talk about their friends, the fugitives. Cody (Josh Kelly) woke up and found Sasha (Sofia Mattsson) missing. Sonny told Carly how he played the FBI to smoke out his enemies. Mason accused Ava of setting them up by turning on them to help Sonny. Tracy reminded Lucy that this could all go away. Lucy told Tracy she knew she had nothing on the Deceptor. After Chase (Josh Swickward) left, Maxie asked Brook Lynn “Why did you give the Deceptor information toTracy?” Sam reminded Dante she didn’t want him to do anything to compromise his position as a cop. Dante told Sam by helping Cody she made herself an accessory to a kidnapping and an assault. He told her how Cody attacked Sasha doctor, a guy named Montague. “Did you say Montague?” Sam asked. Sasha was happy to breathe fresh air and thanked Cody for breaking her out of Ferncliff. “I’m confused Cody, what happened last night?” Sasha asked. Cody told Sasha he knew who drugged her. Jordan (Tanisha Harper) spoke with Mac (John J. York) in the PCPD interrogation room and asked him about the FBI case against Sonny and Cody and Sasha’s escape. Sam told Dante about spilling coffee on Dr. Montague’s phone and seeing a call come in from a Gladys. The connection was made between Gladys and Dr. Montague. Tracy told Lucy the deal was seventy-five twenty-five. Ava told Mason it was their problem if Betty got them wrong information. Carly questioned Sonny about protecting Ava from Mason’s blackmail. Tracy made another offer of sixty-five thirty-five. Brook Lynn admitted to stealing the information on the Deceptor for Tracy. Agent Moss came to see Mac to talk about the Sonny Cornithos case. Sonny told Carly about how Pilar was set up so Ava hired Betty as a plant. But he switched the game and had Betty deliver a package which he and Brick (Stephen A. Smith) doctored. Dante was furious as he and Sam pieced together how Gladys had Dr. Montague drug Sasha. Sasha told Cody how she was taking her antidepressants and then Dr. Montague gave her something else. “You put my job, my livelihood at risk because you couldn’t be honest with your boyfriend? Didn’t he break up with you once before because you lied to him? Have you learned nothing?” Maxie angrily asked Brook Lynn. Tracy offered Lucy a deal of fifty-one forty-nine with her returning the one percent ELQ voting rights. Agent Moss told Mac (with Chase and Jordan in the room) about finding coffee beans in the shipment. Sonny told Carly he believed his enemy was inside Pentonville and needed her help finding out. Ava told Mason she did her part and just wanted this to be over. Dante was angry at what Gladys has done to Sasha when he thought she’d do right by Brando’s (Johnny Wactor) widow. Cody told Sasha how Dr. Montague has been drugging her for months. Agent Moss asked Mac to let them know whether there was any reason Sonny’s son Detective Falconieri could be feeding his father information. Lucy told Tracy she wouldn’t give her any part of Deception then stormed off. Maxie asked Brook Lynn why she didn’t trust her enough to come to her when Tracy started blackmailing her and they could have come up with a scheme together. Tracy spoke with her contact on the phone about Lucy. Maxie fired Brook Lynn telling her she couldn’t be trusted. Ava spoke with Austin (Roger Howarth) on the phone and told him if she went down, she’d bring him with her. Carly agreed to help Sonny. Dante asked Sam to trust him and tell him where Cody and Sasha were hiding. Sasha asked Cody who was paying Dr. Montague. “By the person who did have a motive…your mother-in-law,” Cody answered.

Thursday

Cody (Josh Kelly) told Sasha (Sofia Mattsson) he needed her to believe what he was telling her about Gladys (Bonnie Burroughs). Drew (Cameron Mathison) was happy to see Carly (Laura Wright) but knew something was up because Sonny (Maurice Benard) was with him. “There is a situation I need you to help me with” Sonny told Drew. Cyrus (Jeff Kober) was escorted to Warden Garten’s office. After the guard left the room, Warden Garten angrily told Cyrus “You hung me out to dry and now you’re going to pay for it.” Dex (Evan Hofer) came to The Metro Court and told Nina (Cynthia Watros) he had a message for her from Sonny. Ava (Maura West) stormed into Austin ‘s (Roger Howarth) office and threatened to go to Sonny and tell everything Austin and his cousin have done if Mason didn’t return Nikolas’ (Adam Huss) body. Trina (Tabyana Ali) was listening to her music so loudly while working at the Jerome Gallery that she didn’t hear when Spencer (Nicholas Chavez) entered. He called her name causing her to fall off the ladder. Cody told Sasha when he gave the signal to run out the back down the trail and he’d meet her with the car. Cody grabbed a weapon and opened the door. He was surprised to see Sam (Kelly Monaco) and Dante (Dominic Zamprogna). Spencer caught Trina when she fell off the ladder. He called Sasha so she could come out. Dante told Sasha he was glad she was out of Ferncliff. Dex told Nina that Sonny was with Carly and they were visiting Drew at Pentonville. Sonny told Drew he didn’t know who the enemy was but knew they were at Pentonville. Warden Garten blamed Cyrus and his false information for Sonny not being on his way to Pentonville. Cyrus said Mason has lived out his usefulness. Dex helped Josslyn (Eden McCoy) move back into her dorm room. Adam (Joshua Benard) came by and told Josslyn they were going to be neighbors again. Then, he asked Dex whether he was a student. Trina commented to Spencer it was unlike Ava to drop the ball at the gallery. Ava asked whether Austin was double-crossing her. Both Ava and Austin wished they could go back and change things. Sonny told Drew he needed him to find out who Dr. Austin Gatlin-Holt came to see at Pentonville. Cody asked Dante whether he was there to help them or arrest them. Trina told Spencer accepting a job was about personal growth not just a fancy title. Spencer told Trina he may have fixed their problem of having alone time. Dex told Adam he wasn’t a student and was there helping Joss. Adam asked Josslyn to join the study group he was putting together for organic chemistry. Olivia (Lisa LoCicerco) said to Nina she knows she is glad Sonny was a free man. Carly told Drew she wouldn’t want him to do anything to jeopardize his chances of getting a reduced sentence. Dante apologized for not believing Cody when he said Sasha wasn’t using again. He also said he’s sorry for what Gladys has done to her. “Why would she do this? She said she loved me.” Spencer wanted to take Trina to Turk and Caicos so they could have time alone to focus on them and their relationship. But Trina said she couldn’t go with him. Ava vowed to protect Avery (Ava and Grace Scarola) with all she had. When Olivia talked about Eddie (Wally Kurth) and how he was a talented musician, Nina noted Olivia kept calling him Eddie and not Ned. Drew told Sonny he wanted to help. Sonny told Drew he could help by letting him know who Austin and Mason were reporting to. Drew promised Carly he’d be careful. Sasha found it hard to believe Gladys could betray her like this. Cody explained to Sasha about Gladys playing in Selina Woo’s (Lydia Look) poker games. Sasha realized Gladys trying to talk her out of ending the guardianship was more about Gladys than her. Olivia explained how Eddie had put her in touch with a part of herself she almost forgot existed. Nina asked whether Olivia was falling for Eddie Maine. “Do you not want Ned back?” Nina asked. Dex told Josslyn he thought everything about her was amazing. Trina told Spencer taking a trip when she had school and in the middle of a hurricane was a smart idea. But added they could still go to New York and see a show and spend time together. Warden Garten rang for the guard to take the prisoner back to his cell. Sam assured with them working together there was a way out for Cody and Sasha. Spencer was excited about the trip to New York with Trina. After he left the gallery, Spencer made a call to get the best suite in New York for a very special weekend. Ava vowed to go to Sonny if she didn’t get what she was promised. “All I need is for Drew to give me one name and I’ll take care of the rest” Sonny told Carly. Drew offered to get Officer Johnson’s son an internship at Aurora. “What would you want in return?” Officer Johnson asked. “I’d get him the internship regardless. But there is a little information I’d be interested in.” Cyrus listened as Drew asked Officer Johnson who Dr. Austin Gatlin-Holt came to see on August 23rd.

Friday

Blair Kramer (Kassie DePiva) entered The Metro Court. Tracy (Jane Eliott) thanked Blair for joining her because she liked doing business in person. “And this evening’s business is claiming what’s mine,” Blair said. “Not her,” Martin (Michael E. Knight) said upon seeing Blair across the room. At her office at The Invader, Alexis (Nancy Grahan) looked at the picture Esme (Avery Kristen Pohl) sent her of Ace and Spencer (Nicholas Chavez) at the pool. She left a voicemail for Gregory (Gregory Harrison) saying she’d be at the office and for him to stop by if he needed her. “I need you. Do you have time for a fellow Cassadine?” Spencer asked his aunt when he entered her office. Josslyn (Eden McCoy) told Trina (Tabyana Ali) she hadn’t unpacked because Dex (Evan Hofer) was over and she got distracted. Carly (Laura Wright) returned home to find Ava (Maura West) waiting for her. Ava explained she dropped Avery (Ava and Grace Scarola) off. “So give it up Ava, what have you done this time?” Carly asked. “Dr. Gatlin-Holt just in time.” Nikolas (Adam Huss) said. “Just in time for what?” Austin asked. “To say goodbye,” Nikolas answered. Anna (Finola Hughes) and Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) were shown to their table on the terrace at The Metro Court. Anna was given an envelope Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) left her. It was a Passenger Flight Manifest showing Valentin was on a flight to New York on August 11, 2023. The same night he said he was at ELQ when her house was set on fire. Tracy reminded Blair she was the one who currently had the upper hand of Deception. Martin suggested to Lucy (Lynn Herring) they eat at the PC Grill instead. Spencer asked Alexis to read over the papers the Cassadine lawyers sent over. Since Nikolas has been gone for six months and presumed dead, the entire Cassadine estate goes to the heir: Spencer. Trina asked Josslyn whether she was nervous the first time she was with Dex. Carly asked Ava what she did that only Sonny (Maurice Benard) could get her out of. Anna handed Valentin the Passenger Flight Manifest. “Is it true? She asked. Blair asked Tracy how it went in court. Blair told Tracy the Deceptor was her idea that she never implemented and Marty stole her idea to impress Lucy Coe. Lucy told Martin they were staying at The Metro Court despite that awful Tracy being there. “How does someone walk out on a baby?” Spencer asked Alexis, who assured him his father loved him. Spencer told Alexis he had another favor to ask and it was about Ace. Nikolas explained to Austin although he had no intention of seeing his mother, he had to let her know he was alive. Valentin told Anna he flew to New York because Pikeman was concerned about Sonny and wanted to consult with him. “Why do you lie to me?” Anna asked. Tracy told Blair she wanted the piece of her family’s company back from Lucy. Trina told Josslyn how Spencer found a way for them to be alone. Esme listened from outside the door as Spencer told Alexis he and Trina were going on a weekend getaway to New York. Austin told Nikolas he had a problem with Ava believing she killed him (Nikolas). “By helping Sonny I’m helping you” Carly told Ava. “What else are you keeping from me?” Anna asked Valentin, “Have you lied about anything else?” Tracy told Blair she planned to get rid of Lucy Coe for The Havoc she’s wrecked on her family for years. “I never would have come up with the Deceptor if not for you” Lucy told Martin. Trina told Josslyn that Spencer was taking her on a two day trip to Manhattan. “Sex takes things to a new level and I just want to be sure you’ve thought about it,” Josslyn told Trina, who assured she’s thought about nothing else. Esme dropped the papers she was holding regarding The Invader’s payroll. Austin commented how Nikolas was really unknown to him and had an agenda. Nikolas explained the only way to keep Spencer from controlling all his money and assets was if truth came to light he was alive. Valentin told Anna it was easier to keep Pikeman as an ally instead of an enemy. Anna suggested they go back up to the suite and get room service instead. Carly said Ava did something that Austin and Mason’s boss could bring back to the FBI. Austin called Nikolas pretending to be dead a weird habit. Nikolas told Austin if Spencer got the Cassadine estate he wasn’t likely to give it back to him. “You don’t think much of your son do you” Austin commented. Esme took the payroll information to accounting. Trina assured Josslyn that Spencer wasn’t pressuring her. She explained how Manhattan was a compromise instead of going to Turks and Caicos. Tracy told Blair her father taught her you had to take full advantage of opportunities. After Tracy left, Blair noticed Martin across the room and walked over to his table. “Hello sweetheart,” Blair said. Carly warned Ava that Austin was keeping information from her. “Do not trust him,” Carly said before Ava left. Nikolas told Austin because his son was a Cassadine he had to make sure he didn’t have any power over him.Nikolas received a notification on his phone that his car had arrived. He told Austin it was time for a family reunion. Alexis urged Spencer to let their love for Ace be the thing that brought him and Esme together. After they left the office, Esme walked in. Josslyn told Trina she was the best thing that ever happened to Spencer. Anna and Valentin entered their suite to find the room ransacked. Valentin found red ink on the clothes. Gun drawn, Anna entered the bathroom and found a message written in red ink on the mirror. It read: You think you got away with it – you didn’t. You think you’re safe – you’re not.
