A weekly column highlighting the Port Charles happenings during the past week on General Hospital. Read below to find out what you missed or to refresh your memory in time for next week.

Monday

Maxie (Kristen Storms) encouraged Lucy (Lynn Herring) to take Tracy’s (Jane Eliott) deal. Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) returned home to find Chase (Josh Swickward) sitting on the couch looking upset. Finn (Michael Easton) came to The Invader and asked Alexis (Nancy Grahan) whether he could steal Gregory (Gregory Harrison) for some coffee. Cyrus (Jeff Kober) met with the warden in the breakroom. Aboard his private plane, Sonny (Maurice Benard) told Nina (Cynthia Watros) he had a surprise for her he could only have gotten in Port Charles. Nina was happily surprised when Kristina (Kate Mansi), Willow (Katelyn MacMuellen) and Michael (Chad Duell) boarded the plane. Lucy told Scott (Kin Shriner) she couldn’t take Tracy’s deal and do that to her best friends in the world Felicia (Kristina Wagner) and Maxie. Chase told Brook Lynn his father was sick. Nina asked Sonny how he arranged the surprise. Sonny thanked Michael for convincing Willow to come to the wedding. After Gregory left with Finn, Carly (Laura Wright) entered Alexis’ office. She told him how she was the one who asked Sonny for her to investigate Judge Kim, who’s rulings promote self interest. The warden told Cyrus she wanted to meet him in private because she was out of there. Maxie returned to Lucy’s office and apologized for her outburst. Scott left the office. Maxie told Lucy they needed to prepare an agenda for their meeting. Lucy told Maxie she really had something she needed to say. Chase told Brook Lynn his father had ALS. Lucy told Maxie an agenda wasn’t necessary. Chase told Brook Lynn it’s hard to wrap his head around the fact his dad was sick and dying. Finn told Gregory that Chase knows because Tracy mistakenly told him he had ALS. Carly told Alexis her source was a regular at Kelly’s who was a pilot who flew Judge Kim to a fishing trip to the Caribbean. The warden told Cyrus she was off to Texas to accept a position overseeing all the federal prisons in the state. Gregory felt guilty for being selfish and not telling Chase about his disease. Chase told Brook Lynn he couldn’t imagine what he would say to his father the next time he saw him. Willow offered to help Nina with the wedding. The warden told Cyrus he’d be fine because he was like a cat who always landed on his feet. At the Deception staff meeting, Lucy addressed the staff and told them about her two deals and how she accepted the second deal that offered forty-nine percent so they could continue to go on. She added Deception was more than beauty to her…they were a family who would stick together. Brook Lynn apologized to Chase for Tracy inserting herself where she had absolutely no business. Chase told Brook Lynn he wished he didn’t know his father has ALS. Gregory told Finn by protecting Chase from his secret he was staying in denial. Kristina told Nina and Willow about the opulence of the island…the perfect wedding venue. Michael admitted to Sonny he told Willow he wanted to come to the wedding. Cyrus told the wedding he almost hated to see her go. The warden told Cyrus next time they’ll take care of Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) for good. Alexis assured Carly that Judge Kim would take the bait for an interview. Chase got overwhelmed looking at photos of Gregory on his cell phone. He was surprised when there was a knock on the door and he saw his father when he opened it. Maxie thanked Lucy for her decision calling her a great friend. Although he thought the decision was crazy, Scott said it was his kind of crazy and brought champagne to celebrate. Meanwhile, a woman with long and elegantly decorated nails read an article on her tablet about Brook Lynn being booted from ELQ.

Tuesday

Wednesday

At GH, Felicia (Kristina Wagner) took notes as Stella (Vernee Watson) gave her patient advocate information. Finn (Michael Easton) told Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) he was going to go over and check on Chase (Josh Swickward). She invited Finn and Violet (Jophelle Love) to come over for dinner. Terry (Cassandra James) came up after Finn left and told Elizabeth she’s been too busy trying to find out who was having sex in the showers. Laura (Genie Francis) told Kevin (Jon Lindstrom) she was glad to be home. She suggested they open the bottle of red wine she had in the kitchen. When they opened the door, Laura and Kevin found Ace on the floor in his playpen and the place a mess. Trina (Tabyana Ali) told Spencer (Nicholas Chavez) she could make it the rest of the way with her luggage. Spencer admitted as much as he wanted to see his baby brother, he was sad to see their weekend come to an end. Trina said every single second was perfect. Chase (Josh Swickward) opened his door to his father. He and Gregory (Gregory Harrison) embraced. Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) was looking for Tracy (Jane Eliott). “Why are you shrieking?” Tracy asked. Eddie (Wally Kurth) had a nightmare that he was on stage performing in his underwear. In his dream, Olivia (Lisa LoCierco) and a woman he didn’t know (Lois) were in the audience. “I’m sorry…I didn’t mean to wake you up,” Olivia said. “You were in my dream,” Eddie said. “Esme, are you okay?” Laura asked. Esme (Avery Kristen Pohl) explained Ace has been teething and she hasn’t slept more than six hours the last few days and had to call Alexis (Nancy Grahan) to tell her she wouldn’t make it into work. “I didn’t realize how lonely it would be watching him by myself,” Esme said. “Where’s Spencer?” Laura asked. Spencer promised he’d text and see Trina tomorrow before he left. Trina entered the house and Curtis (Donnell Turner) asked “How was it?” First she answered it was okay before gushing and saying “It was amazing.” Gregory told Chase he was wrong and apologized for not telling him about his diagnosis. “Why did you think I couldn’t handle it?” Chase asked. Gregory said it was because he knew he couldn’t handle it but it wasn’t fair to him. “It’s okay dad. Chase was happy spending time with him brought his dad some joy. Terry told Elizabeth that Amy Driscoll (Risa Dorken) told him about the couple having sex in the shower. Elizabeth admitted it was her and Finn but it was just kissing. Felicia commented how hard it was helping patients figure out their next steps when a loved one was dying. Stella suggested they go to pediatrics to switch things up. Eddie told Olivia about his dream and how frustrating it was because he had it a couple of times. Brook Lynn confronted Tracy about telling Chase his father had ALS. Tracy insisted it was an honest mistake. But Brook Lynn didn’t believe her. They were interrupted by a knock on the door. “What!” Brook Lynn shouted when she opened the door. “Whoa…is that any way to greet your mother?” Lois (Rena Sofer) asked. Olivia suggested Eddie talk with Dr. Kevin Collins. But Eddie remembered Kevin from when he woke up at the hospital and commented he didn’t help him then so he seriously doubted he could help him now. After hugging, Lois and Brook Lynn complimented each other on their hair and nails. Lois explained she was there because she read an article Brook Lynn was fired at Deception and wanted to see how she was doing. Brook Lynn told Lois she was manipulated into sharing company secrets…corporate espionage. Lois asked who would do that to Brook Lynn. Her daughter glanced at Tracy. Portia (Brooke Kerr) interrupted Felicia and Stella. Felicia walked away. Portia told Stella that Dr. Randolph offered her the co-Chief of Staff position. Although she turned it down, Portia wondered whether she should accept it because it was a senior management position with more money. Trina told Curtis about her trip and gave him two basketball caps she got for him because she wasn’t sure what team he liked. Laura enjoyed spending time with her grandson. “Tell me, where is your big brother Spencer?” Laura asked Ace as Spencer opened the door, happy to see two of his favorite people. Stella assured Portia that Curtis would be proud of her getting the job and it would kill him if he thought it was holding her back in any way. Stella told Portia she needed to think about what made her happy. Curtis told Trina that the worst thing would be if he brought anyone he loved down. Marshall (Robert Gossett) entered and asked Trina “Did that Cassadine boy treat you well?” Finn came over to his brother’s place. He and Chase both apologized. Gregory said he was grateful to have two wonderful sons. Spencer gave Ace the stuffed toy he brought for him. “You’re back” Esme said when she returned. Brook Lynn told Lois how Tracy threatened to go to Chase if she didn’t steal the Deceptor files for her. Brook Lynn said it maybe was a good thing because now she could go back to music. Olivia entered the room. Old friends Lois and Olivia screamed with delight and hugged each other. “Did you hear that?” Eddie asked Tracy, who told him it was a Bensonhurst thing. Olivia suggested Lois stay at the mansion. But Lois preferred The Metro Court. Olivia said she comp her a room. Portia asked to speak with Terry alone. Gregory told Finn and Chase he’s glad it was out in the open and he could be honest with them and himself. Kevin told Laura how Esme not having a circle of friends was bound to cause problems. Trina assured Spencer was a gentleman on their trip then she left to finish her paper for school. Portia officially accepted Terry’s job offer to be co-Chief of Staffs. Lois agreed to stay at the Quartermaine mansion. “Speaking of drama, does Ned still think he’s Eddie Maine?” Lois asked Olivia. Tracy suggested Eddie see for himself about the Bensonhurst invasion. Laura told Spencer “We didn’t actually see your dad but we know he’s alive.” Gregory told his sons that although there was no cure for ALS, it was uncertain how quickly the disease would progress. Terry told Portia she’d let Dr. Quartermaine know Portia accepted the position. “You might even start on Monday.” Curtis told his father how the whole time he was shot his biggest fear was getting shot while on duty. He’d never imagine it would happen when he was a civilian. Spencer told Laura he hoped for everyone involved his father would just stay away. After Spencer left the room to check on Ace, Laura left a voicemail message for Valentin (James Patrick Stuart). Lois caught Olivia up on the old neighborhood and told Brook Lynn she needed to visit her grandparents more because they weren’t getting any younger. Eddie entered the room and said he knew Lois. “I should hope so. I’m your ex-wife and Brook Lynn’s mother” Lois said. “I feel like I know you from someplace else” Eddie said.

Thursday

Puerto Rico. Sonny (Maurice Benard) was writing his wedding vows. Michael (Chad Duell) and Kristina (Kate Mansi) returned from a morning swim. Kristina commented about their dad writing his vows. “Michael, our dad’s in love,” Kristina said. Nina (Cynthia Watros) thought about her love for Mike/Sonny in a series of flashbacks. Donna was happy she’d have two mommies like Avery (Ava and Grace Scarola) after Nina married her daddy. Dex (Evan Hofer) came to see Josslyn (Eden McCoy) at her dorm room. Cyrus (Jeff Kober) thanked Austin (Roger Howarth) for coming to his hardship release hearing. Mason told Ava (Maura West) no one would hear her screaming for help. Austin told Cyrus once he figured out what was at stake he really didn’t have a choice. Mason told Ava double crossing him was a big mistake. “Sonny and Nina flew to the island to elope” Dex told Josslyn. Sonny told Michael and Kristina how Nina wanted to sleep in separate rooms because she didn’t want to risk them having bad luck. Nina asked Donna to be her flowergirl and gave her a mission to make sure her daddy didn’t see her too soon. Willow (Katelyn MacMuellen) had another dream about Harmony coming to warn her about something but was awakened by Wiley. Josslyn was surprised when Dex told her Sonny wanted the family at the wedding and Michael and Willow were there. She was upset neither her mom nor Michael told her about the elopement. Michael told Wiley and Willow it was time to get ready for a wedding. Kristina told Sonny how happy she was that he decided to elope. Scott (Kin Shriner) arrived at the courthouse as he was Cyrus’ legal counsel. Cyrus not too subtly told Scott considering the amount of money he was paying him, he expected Baldwin to make a heroic effort on his behalf. Michael told Sonny it was best for everyone that they moved on. Willow and Kristina arrived at the bridesroom. Josslyn told Dex she felt left out and alone now in this grudge against Sonny. There was a knock on the door. It was Pilar who asked whether Josslyn heard from Ms. Jerome. Mason told Ava she would be there until he got further instructions. But Ava was determined to figure a way out of there. Scott addressed the judge telling his honor that Cyrus’ fragile health made him no longer a menace to society. Willow and Kristina did the bridal traditions of something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue. Michael told Sonny how everytime he smelled the ocean air he thought about Morgan (Bryan Craig). Pilar told Dex and Josslyn how Ava was supposed to pick up Avery at five and never showed up. Dex wanted to go over the timeline. The warden spoke to Cyrus finding God and being a model prisoner. Austin had no choice but to tell the judge if Cyrus was released back into society he wasn’t physically capable of hurting anyone. Kristina answered a text from Blaze. Sonny prayed at the chapel that he hoped this was his last wedding and he could make Nina happy in the way she deserved. Nina left a voicemail for Ava thanking her for her friendship and telling her she missed her being there at her wedding. Mason caught Ava piling boxes as a way to escape through a window. Before she left, Dex suggested that Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) and the PCPD had it on their radar that Ava might be missing. He then told Josslyn he thought Ava might be in danger. Michael receives a text from his contact who found out who turned his mother and Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) into the SEC. Mason told Ava she wasn’t leaving until the boss said so. When Austin called to ask Ava to be let go because he did as he was asked, Mason reminded neither one of them was calling the shots. The wedding began.

Friday

Curtis (Donnell Turner) was surprised when Stella (Vernee Watson) opened the door to find Selina (Lydia Look) on the other side holding a gift basket. At GH, Portia (Brook Kerr) told TJ (Taj Bellows) she was sneaking out of work early to tell Curtis her good news about being the new co-Chief of Staff before he heard from anyone else. Josslyn (Eden McCoy) arrived at Wyndemere and told Giles she was looking for Ava (Maura West) because she never picked Avery (Ava and Grace Scarola) up. At Pentonville, Cyrus (Jeff Kober) was surprised to see that Laura (Genie Francis) had come to visit him. Dex (Evan Hofer) arrived at Austin’s (Roger Howarth) office and asked “Have you seen Ava Jerome?” Puerto Rico. Sonny (Maurice Benard) smiled as bride Nina (Cynthia Watros) walked to him. They were reminded marriage wasn’t to be entered into lightly. Selina told Curtis she wanted to give him some time to adjust to his new life. Cyrus told Laura he shaved and cut his hair because he didn’t feel the need to hide behind his appearance. When she made a comment about it being ashamed a good man like Drew (Cameron Mathison) was locked up, Cyrus knew what Laura meant was it was shame Drew was locked up in Pentonville with men like him. Giles told Josslyn how Dr. Gatlin-Holt has been a frequent visitor and the staff reasoned he and Ms. Jerome was getting close. Dex but Austin into a choke hold and warned if he found out Austin had anything to do with Ava’s disappearance he’d be back and next time he wouldn’t be asking questions. Josslyn called Dex and told him she found something. When it was time to exchange vows, Sonny told Nina although he spent all morning writing his vows, when he looked into her eyes he didn’t need to pull them out of his pocket. Cyrus asked Laura whether Martin told her he gave away all of his money. Curtis asked Selina why she was so determined to buy The Savoy instead of starting her own club. Dex arrived at Wyndemere and asked Giles whether he could look at the security footage. Nina told Sonny he’s given her a family and she would spend all her time loving him for the rest of his life. Selina told Curtis with her busy schedule she didn’t have time to start a new club and The Savoy was already established. Portia returned home. Stella was glad when Ms. Woo left. Dex and Josslyn looked at the security footage. Then, they went to see Spinelli (Bradford Anderson). Mason came to Austin’s office. Cyrus asked Laura why she never questioned it when her friend Sonny Cornithos gave away his dirty money. Sonny and Nina exchanged rings and were pronounced husband and wife. Curtis told Portia he couldn’t be more proud when she told him she was named co-Chief of Staff. Dex briefed Spinelli on the information they had. Cyrus told Laura how Sonny was treated with respect by the Port Charles community when he was no better than him. Donna asked whether she could call her Momma Nina now. Willow and Michael congratulated Nina and Sonny. Stella decided they should go out and celebrate Portia’s new job. Cyrus told Laura he couldn’t help but envy her relationship with Sonny. Dex recognized Austin Gatlin-Holt’s cousin Mason from the footage Spinelli was able to pull. Austin told Mason about Dex’s threat to him if anything happened to Ava. While Nina danced with Wiley, Michael took a call and asked his contact whether he had the name of the person who turned Drew Cain into the SEC. Mason told Austin his only protection was to trust the boss. Michael glared at Nina as she and Sonny cut their wedding cake. Cyrus was released from Pentonville and a car picked him up and drove him away from the prison.
