A weekly column highlighting the Port Charles happenings during the past week on General Hospital. Read below to find out what you missed or to refresh your memory in time for next week.

Monday

Puerto Rico. Nina (Cynthia Watros), Sonny (Maurice Benard) and Kristina (Kate Mansi) ate a meal together and talked about how perfect the wedding was. Kristina commented it was a shame Michael (Chad Duell) and Willow (Katelyn MacMuellen) had to leave because Michael had business in Port Charles. Michael listened as Wiley told Willow how Nina was a grandma twice because she married Grandpa Sonny. Sam (Kelly Monaco) came to see Carly (Laura Wright) at Kelly’s. Saying how Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) told her Sonny and Nina eloped in Puerto Rico, Sam asked whether Carly was okay. “No, I’m not,” Carly answered. Lucy (Lynn Herring) and Maxie (Kristina Wagner) took a meeting with Blaze (Jacqueline Grace Lopez) to try to get Blaze to be the new Face of Deception. Sasha (Sofia Mattsson) was packing when there was a knock on the door. She opened it and let Cody (Josh Swickward) in. He asked about all the boxes and whether she was leaving Port Charles. Sasha answered yes. “I don’t understand you just got your life back…you’re gonna walk away from it?” Cody asked. Blaze told Nina and Maxie she’d have her manager contact them by the end of the week. Then, Blaze left because she had a plane to catch. “Don’t you think we should have given Sasha some warning before we give her job to someone else?” Maxie asked Lucy. Sasha told Cody it was too painful for her to live in Port Charles so she felt she needed to start over someplace new. Sasha told Cody she was going to Austin, Texas and was sure she’d make friends there. “Friends like Nina, Michael, Willow…friends like me?” Cody asked. Carly admitted to Sam that Sonny marrying Nina was hard for her. Sasha told Cody she didn’t think she’d ever meet anyone like him ever again. Sasha commented how she didn’t know how she kept making epic mistakes. “I think I know,” Cody said. Maxie told Lucy she wished there was another way then replacing Sasha. Martin (Michael E. Knight) entered and Maxie left to take a call from her mom. Sonny told Kristina how they decided to elope. Willow suggested to Michael when they return to the island they should coordinate with Sonny and Nina and make it a family trip. Nina said she owed her and her daughter reaching a turning point to Sonny. Michael promised Willow they would return to the island. Michael told Willow he had to get to his meeting to verify information that could be a game changer. Lucy told Martin one day Tracy (Jane Eliott) would get what she deserved. Martin suggested he and Lucy move to his hotel room. Michael called Martin and demanded he meet him at his office at Aurora. He said he recently discovered Martin made a serious mistake and would give him one chance to make it right. Sam and Carly commented that Sasha was finally free of Gladys (Bonnie Burroughs). Cody told Sasha he knew about making mistakes. He listed his mistakes including lying to his biological dad that he wasn’t his son. Cody told Sasha that Mac Scorpio (John J. York) was his biological father and how he lied to him to get his hands on the money from the WSB destroying The Ice Princess necklace, which belonged to his mom’s husband Leopold Taub, who everyone believes was his father. Cody admitted money wasn’t the only reason he lied to Mac. “In what world doesn’t a grifter like me deserve having a great dad?” Cody asked Sasha. Maxie returned to the table. She reminded Lucy that Tracy owned the bulk of Deception so they had to run it by her first. Maxie told Lucy it was the right thing to do to tell Sasha. “Fancy meeting you here” Blaze said when she ran into Kristina at the chapel. Wiley was confused with the concept of a honeymoon. Sonny told Nina now that she was his wife they’d share it all. Martin entered Michael’s office at Aurora telling him he didn’t appreciate being summoned or threatened. Michael assured he wasn’t threatening him, only stating a fact. He said Martin made a mistake turning his mom and Drew (Cameron Mathison) into the SEC. Sasha called Cody brave. Sasha told Cody now that she had her life back she had to start over somewhere new. Sonny asked Nina about her turquoise bracelet. Nina told Sonny it was significant because it was a gift from her daughter. Michael told Martin his action caused a lot of devastation and he called him there to give him a chance to make amends. Willow told Wiley she loved their whole family. Kristina asked Blaze how she was there in Puerto Rico. Carly assured Sam although it hurt Sonny marrying Nina she loved Drew and was committed to him. Cody told Sasha he understood her needing to get a fresh start but asked whether it had to be away from Port Charles. Cody left when Maxie arrived. Maxie understood when Sasha explained she needed a fresh start from a place that didn’t hold such painful memories. “Maxie, don’t try to talk me out of it. I’ve made up my mind” Sasha said. Blaze explained she flew to Puerto Rico to visit her abuela who lived there but was afraid to fly so Sasha visits her often. Nina told Sonny she didn’t need to make a wish on a shooting star because Sonny has given her everything she wanted. Willow smiled when she thought about hugging Nina at the wedding. Michael warned Martin if he didn’t tell him the name of his client he’d have to refer the matter to Sonny and let Sonny handle it his way. Having no choice, Martin admitted his client was Nina Reeves. After Martin left his office, Michael played back the recording of Martin saying he called the SEC at Nina’s direction.

Tuesday

“I’ve been looking all over for you. It’s like you’ve been avoiding me” Lois (Rena Sofer) said, telling Eddie (Wally Kurth) that there’s no way he didn’t remember her and all the good times they had together. Through a series of flashbacks, we see a young Lois and Eddie and how she got him into the music business and they fell in love. But Eddie insisted he didn’t remember her. “I’ve got this incredible daughter and I don’t remember her,” Eddie told Lois as Chase (Josh Swickward) and Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) walked into the room. Tracy (Jane Eliott) left a voicemail for Finn (Michael Easton) reminding him it was backgammon night. “He’s not coming” Gregory (Gregory Harrison) said when he entered the room telling Tracy he came because he had a score to settle. Josslyn (Eden McCoy) arrived at the PCPD to see Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) telling the officer it was a matter of life and death. Dex (Evan Hofer) entered the empty basement as Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) spoke to them over their communication link and asked whether he found Ava (Maura West). At GH, Cyrus (Jeff Kober) found Austin (Roger Howarth) and told them they had some unfinished business. Josslyn told Dante that Ava was in trouble. Dex told Spinelli the basement was empty and there was no sign of Ava. Mason stopped the car and Ava told him he didn’t have to do this. But he said he did. Josslyn told Dante how Ava never came to pick up Avery (Ava and Grace Scarola). Dex told Spinelli that Ava was there and Mason probably moved her when he discovered they were searching his properties. Ava warned Mason that Sonny (Maurice Benard) would come after him if something were to happen to him. She promised to protect him if he brought her home right now. Mason refused and told Ava they were going to sit there and be quiet and wait for his order. Cyrus thanked Austin for putting in a good word for him at the hearing. Austin told Cyrus to stick to his part of the bargain and tell Mason to let Ava go. Carly (Laura Wright) told Drew (Cameron Mathison) if he was sent back to Pentonville the people he tried to kill him would finish the job. Tracy was so surprised and laughed whe Gregory thanked him for telling Chase because he couldn’t. Brook Lynn introduced her mother to Chase. Eddie told Lois he wanted to hear the history of their love. Mason told Ava she was going to sit there and shut up. Cyrus called Mason and told him to take the passenger home because the situation has been resolved to his satisfaction. Lois told the story how Eddie was living a double life and was planning on marrying another woman when they fell in love. Eddie apologized for the man he was back then and for the way he treated her. Gregory offered to take Finn’s place and play backgammon with Tracy. Carly was shocked when Cyrus opened the door to Drew’s room. Josslyn assured Avery she’s sure Nina (Cynthia Watros) and Sonny would take her someplace special because Avery missed the wedding. Mason dragged Ava out of the car. Spinelli called Josslyn and told her Dex was following Mason but he lost contact with him. Josslyn called Dante. Dex arrived just in time and held his gun on Mason. Lois told Eddie she pitied him because he forgot all the times they shared. Eddie angrily said he didn’t need her pity. Cyrus told Drew and Carly he was released from Pentonville on medical grounds. He also told them he was the one who found Drew in the shower after the attack and saved his life. Mason fired his gun but missed. Then, he and Mason. Gregory won the backgammon game. Tracy told him she was sorry for his diagnosis then they hugged. Dante appeared and shot Mason. Ned told Tracy how frustrating Lois was. Lois told Chase she’s glad her daughter found a good man to love. After they left, Tracy entered and told Lois she was the reason Chase and Brook Lynn were together. After Cyrus left the room, Josslyn called Carly and told her mother she needed to come home. Dante asked Ava why she was abducted. Ava said Mason probably did it on his boss’ orders and that boss would regret it when she found out his name. Cyrus told Austin it was best to remember who was in control.

Wednesday

Curtis (Donnell Turner) had just gotten himself into bed when Portia (Brooke Kerr) knocked on the door and asked “Want some company?” Lois (Rena Sofer) told Tracy (Jane Eliott) she had to answer to her for taking advantage of Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton). Sonny (Maurice Benard) told Nina (Cynthia Watros) she was perfect. Kristina (Kate Mansi) said they should raise a glass and toast Blaze’s (Jacqueline Grace Lopez) force to be reckoned with abuela. Austin (Roger Howarth) was shocked to find Mason lying in a hospital bed with bullet wounds. Carly (Laura Wright) arrived home and called out for Josslyn (Eden McCoy). There was a knock on the door. Carly opened it and was surprised to see the condition Ava (Maura West) was in and asked whether she was alright. “I will be… as soon as I see my daughter” Ava answered “Is Avery okay?” Sam (Kelly Monaco) came to visit Drew (Cameron Mathison) with a gift from Scout. It was a plague Scout received for being an Outstanding Swimmer 7-8 Years Old. Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) told Carly how Ava was abducted by Mason Gatlin. Austin told Mason to wake up and then asked his cousin whether Ava was okay. Nina commented how relaxed Sonny was. Sonny explained there was a situation he let go on for too long but would end it when he got back. Blaze and Kristina got to know each other over margaritas. Blaze told Kristina they should toast to her “The new Face Of Deception.” Tracy told Lois that Brook Lynn got what she wanted “It’s only fair I get what I want.” Curtis asked Portia to join him. She sat down on the bed. Portia said although it was too years away, it was never too early to start planning Trina’s (Tabyana Ali) graduation party. When Portia commented how Trina will want a DJ at the party so she could dance all night long, Curtis sadly added he better get used to watching from the sidelines. Lois told Tracy that Brook Lynn got her selfishness for Tracy. Curtis told Portia he wasn’t ready to connect physically with her. Blaze told Kristina she wasn’t sure whether she wanted to give up her newfound freedom by becoming the Face Of Deception. Drew told Sam to tell Scout she had to keep the award safe for him until he got out. Then, he would hang it in his office and brag about her to everyone. Dex and Dante told Carly and Josslyn what happened when Mason tried to toss Ava over a cliff. Blaze wanted to be able to live her life without being tabloid fodder. Nina asked Sonny to put all his worries and problems away and live in the moment here with her. Carly told Ava she could stay the night as she was sure it would make Avery (Ava and Grace Scarola) happy to wake up in the morning and see her. Carly left to return back to Drew at GH. Josslyn told Ava she found something at Wyndemere she thinks she is going to need. After Dr. Larson examined Mason and left the room, Austin asked his cousin where Ava was. “I have no idea,” Mason answered. “Detective, don’t go in that room and stay away from the patient,” Jordan (Tanisha Harper) told Dante. Tracy told Lois she couldn’t be more wrong about why she wanted Deception. “I got that company for Brook Lynn,” Tracy said. Curtis told Portia psychologically he couldn’t love her and it makes him feel like less than a man. Blaze told Kristina that meeting her was an upside to being in the public eye. Mason told Austin the last thing he remembered was Ava screaming when he got shot. Then, Mason was taken up to surgery. Jordan told Dante he was on administrative leave pending the investigation into him shooting a civilian. Josslyn gave Ava back her cellphone. Carly called Sonny and told him how Mason kidnapped Ava and how Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) was out of prison. Tracy told Lois she did what she did to give Brook Lynn a future. Plus, she got her one percent of ELQ back. Curtis told Portia although he was physically capable of having sex, he wasn’t emotionally ready to make love. Portia assured Curtis they get through this together. Curtis told Portia it was tearing him apart inside not being able to make love to his beautiful wife again. After Jordan gave him information about the Mason incident, Austin called Ava. But she ignored his call. Dante returned home and told Sam he’s been placed on administrative leave because he shot someone and they might not make it. Sonny told Carly he was flying home first thing in the morning. “Of course, it was him all along,” Sonny realized, getting out of bed and ignoring Nina’s questions. Portia told Curtis she was very patient. Portia said Curtis was letting her in and that was a start. Austin told Jordan he had no idea why his cousin did the things he did. Ava deleted Austin’s messages. Dex told Josslyn him being alive was totally on her. Dante told Sam how his father wouldn’t be too happy when Carly told him what happened. Carly got into Drew’s hospital bed with him. Kristina introduced her father to Blaze. Sonny told his daughter something came up and they had to fly home first thing in the morning. “Maybe she’s a little more like her grandmother than you care to admit. And guess what, you gotta live with it” Tracy told Lois.

Thursday

Spencer (Nicholas Chavez) surprised Trina (Tabyana Ali) at work by bringing her a latte. She noticed he was in a good mood. “My grandmother’s back in town,” Spencer told Trina. “Did she find your dad?” Trina asked. “Not exactly,” Spencer answered. Laura (Genie Francis) arrived at Valentin’s house. Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) opened the door and thanked her for coming. He told her he was in a bad way. “I feel like I don’t know Charlotte anymore. Laura , I need your help” Valentin said. Anna (Finola Hughes) met Jordan (Tanisha Harper) at The Metro Court and asked whether they could switch to a table more private and not so out in the open. At GH, Finn (Michael Easton) thanked Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) for referring his dad to ALS specialist Dr. Cramer. Elizabeth was glad it worked out but added “I’m sorry our dinner didn’t.” Gregory (Gregory Harrison) came to Alexis’ (Nancy Grahan) office at The Invader and commented that she looked like she was dressed for battle. “I am. Because if we do this right, Drew goes free.” Felicia (Kristina Wagner) was surprised when Maxie (Kristen Storms) arrived at GH with breakfast. Maxie told Felicia they were proud of her. Finn asked for a raincheck for the missed dinner they missed because Violet (Jophelle Love) was sick. He suggested that they spend the weekend together. Alexis told Gregory she was wearing her lucky suit which she hasn’t worn since she was disbarred. She said if this was going to work she’d need his help. Spencer told Trina if his father were to come home right now it would ruin everything and throw everything off. “Don’t you think Ace needs his father?” Trina asked. “No…he has me” Spencer answered. Valentin told Laura about Anna’s house being set on fire and the threatening message left on the bathroom mirror of Anna’s hotel. “It was Charlotte.” Anna told Jordan she’d be ready when the person who was after her made the next move. Finn told Elizabeth his friend offered him the use of a cabin in the mountains. Elizabeth said yes and would see if her grandmother could watch the boys while Finn would ask Chase (Josh Swickward) if he could watch Violet. Gregory agreed to be Alexis’ co-counsel when she questioned Judge Kim. Spencer told Trina that Ace would be better off if his father never came back. Spencer told Trina he hasn’t forgiven Esme (Avery Kristen Pohl) for the things she’s done in the past but knows she’s a good mother. Trina said Esme was motivated by jealousy and wanted to be with Spencer. “Spencer, snap out of it. This fantasy that you and Esme have of playing house is a dream come true for her” Trina said. Maxie told Felicia that Lucy (Lynn Herring) managed to save the company but it came at a very high price. TJ (Taj Bellows) congratulated Portia (Brooke Kerr) on her new job as co-Chief of Staff. But then gave her the bad news that Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) was released from prison. Valentin told Laura about the security footage. Laura said they’d figure it out and find a way to help Charlotte. But Valentin wasn’t so certain and said he didn’t think they could. Jordan admitted to Anna she was torn about coming back to her old job. Portia storms into The Metro Court and said Jordan could have at least warned her Cyrus Renault was released from prison. Trina told Spencer he needed to think about their future. Valentin told Laura he couldn’t get through to Charlotte but hoped Laura could. Elizabeth spoke with her grandmother on the phone and thanked her for watching the boys. Finn spoke with Chase on the phone and thanked him for agreeing to watch Violet this weekend. Alexis left her office when she got the call Judge Kim was downstairs. She told Gregory she would greet him and bring him back up to the office. Valentin told Laura the security footage no longer existed. Laura realized Victor (Charles Shaughnessy) was responsible for Charlotte’s destructive behavior. Anna told Portia it wouldn’t be possible to send Cyrus back to prison. Maxie told Felicia about Lucy’s new ad campaign to replace Sasha (Sofia Mattsson) as the Face Of Deception. Finn asked TJ whether they could schedule Saturday’s consultation because he was going away on Saturday. Trina asked Spencer where he saw himself in five years, what he wanted out of his life and what made him happy. Felicia told Maxie her friendship with Brook Lynn didn’t have to be over. TJ and Finn talked about the good things they had going for them in their lives. Spencer told Trina he would make sure Ace would never be shipped away to boarding school and be lonely like he was. Alexis introduced Judge Kim and Gregory then started the interview. Laura told Valentin that Victor could have visited Charlotte and fed her lies. Laura realized Victor may have been influencing Charlotte. “So this is revenge. He’s weaponized Charlotte and he’s pointed her directly at Anna” Valentin told Laura. Felicia reminded Maxie she’d made mistakes too and to give Brook Lynn a chance to save their friendship. “Tell her you forgive her. Tell Sasha you don’t want her to leave” Felicia urged Maxie. Trina reminded Spencer that as Ace got over Esme would be the one to make the decisions about Ace’s future. She added that eventually Esme and Ace would be on their own. Anna assured Portia how Cyrus wanted a relationship with his sister Laura and would be on his best behavior. Laura didn’t believe Charlotte set the fire telling Valentin how Victor would encourage her to taunt Anna which would explain the hotel incident. So now that they know what’s driving her behavior, they can help Charlotte by getting her out from under Victor’s influence. Judge Kim denied ever meeting billionaire investment banker Asher Alexander. “Really? Then that’s interesting. You flew to St. Thomas on this man’s private jet to go deep sea fishing yet you never met him?” Alexis asked putting the screws to Judge Kim.

Friday

Anna (Finola Hughes) questioned her bodyguard about whether he noticed anything suspicious. He answered he didn’t detect any threats against her. Charlotte (Scarlett Fernandez) happily greeted her grandmother, glad Laura (Genie Francis) was home. “I missed you so much,” Charlotte said, hugging Laura. At GH, Spencer (Nicholas Chavez) asked Esme (Avery Kristen Pohl) why she didn’t tell him Ace had a doctor’s appointment. Robert (Tristan Rogers) greeted “Killer Miller” at yoga and asked Diane (Carolyn Henessey) whether Sonny Cornitos (Maurice Benard) knew she was there and not clutching her cellphone awaiting his call. Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) came to Drew’s (Cameron Mathison) hospital room to check on him. Alexis (Nancy Grahan) told Judge Kim she could provide proof he flew to the Caribbean with Asher Alexander. “There seems to be a major conflict of interest. Would you care to comment?” Alexis asked Judge Kim. Cody (Josh Kelly) and Dante had coffee at The Bistro. “It seems like you do the right thing and you get the wrong outcome,” Cody said. While she took his vitals, Elizabeth told Drew how her boys were doing. “How’s Jake?” Drew asked. “Jake has a girlfriend,” Elizabeth answered. When he protested too much, Gregory told Judge Kin so far they have heard a denial. Diane asked Robert how the public would feel about him taking a three hour lunch to pump iron. Esme reminded Spencer she was Ace’s mother. Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) left to let Laura and Charlotte catch up. “Charlotte, are you worried about your father?” Laura asked. Alexis told Judge Kim all he had to do was commute Drew Cain’s sentence to time served and the interview would go away. “You belong in a prison cell with Drew Cain” Judge Kim said angrily then stormed out. Diane commented how she and Robert were so used to sparring. Dante asked Cody why he didn’t tell Sasha (Sofia Mattsson) he wanted her to stay. Kevin (Jon Lindstrom) told Spencer unlike Esme he didn’t have any parental rights to Ace. Charlotte told Laura now that she was back she didn’t feel as alone anymore. Anna told Valentin she didn’t want to sit alone in her hotel room like a sitting duck. Cody told Dante that he told Sasha that Mac Scorpio (John J. York) was his biological father. Valentin reminded Anna she had friends she could turn to. Robert asked Diane whether they could pick up where they left off. “Absolutely not,” Diane said. Alexis berated herself for losing her leverage against Judge Kim, which wouldn’t help Drew. Elizabeth told Drew dating Charlotte had boosted Jake’s (Hudson West) self esteem. The guard interrupted to tell Drew the transfer paperwork been approved so he’d be taking him back to Pentonville. Laura told Charlotte she had her to talk with. “Papa’s never around” Charlotte said. Laura commented that Valentin spends all his time with Anna. Valentin assured Anna that her friends wouldn’t mind if she turned to them. Spencer told Kevin he had to fill the void his father left in Ace’s life. Spencer assured Kevin how he and Esme have been able to work together to take care of Ace and he didn’t see that changing. Diane told Robert she always gets blindsided by something in his past. “I’m sorry all this stuff with Sasha has been happening. I know she’s come to mean a lot to you” Dante told Cody. Charlotte told Laura all she wanted was a home for just her and her papa. Anna asked Valentin why he thought it was vengeance and not justice. Dante assured Cody that Gladys (Bonnie Burroughs) wouldn’t set foot in Port Charles again. Diane suggested they wipe the slate clean and start the chessboard over and he’d get to put his pawn where he wanted. “I lost big but not for me for Drew” Alexis told Gregory (Gregory Harrison). Drew didn’t want Elizabeth to call Carly (Laura Wright) because he didn’t want her to see him being hauled out of there in chains. He said it’d be better if she found out about it after he was gone. Dante told Cody that Mac deserved to know the truth that he had a son. “You not telling Mac that you’re his son makes everyone else’s life complicated” Dante told Cody then left The Bistro. Robert told Diane he accepted her challenges and her conditions. Spencer refused to accept the possibility of having a reduced role in Ace’s life. Laura told Charlotte about how she felt when she was a teenage girl. She told Charlotte she wanted to be there for her like her great grandmother Leslie was for her. Laura told Charlotte she was there to listen to her if there was something she needed to share. Valentin told Anna someone was targeting her on Victor’s behalf. Alexis received a call that Judge Kim asked his clerk to pull Drew Cain’s file. Drew and Elizabeth locked eyes as two officers put him on the elevator to take him back to Pentonville.
