A weekly column highlighting the Port Charles happenings during the past week on General Hospital. Read below to find out what you missed or to refresh your memory in time for next week.

Monday

The fire alarm goes off and Uri announces it’s a kitchen fire. “Ma…what did you do?” Lois asks Gloria (Ellen Travolta). “Okay my little ones…we couldn’t share dinner together, at least I can leave a little of my love” Nina said, setting down a holiday gift basket down at the Quartermaine gatehouse door. “This is exactly what I need…Thanksgiving with the three of us” Anna (Finola Hughes) said. “Make that the four of us” Robert (Tristan Rogers) corrected seeing Diane (Carolyn Henessey) when they stepped out the elevator. While Drew (Cameron Mathison), Donna, Scout and Josslyn (Eden McCoy) played a board game, Carly (Laura Wright) answered the front door. It was Avery (Ava and Grace Scarola) and Sonny (Maurice Benard). Marshall (Robert Gossett) commented on how quiet it was at Casa Ashford. Since Portia (Brooke Kerr) was on call at GH and Trina (Tabayna Ali) was off doing her own thing, the big Thanksgiving meal was being skipped. Marshall noticed Curtis (Donnell Turner) looking at a floor plan and his son told him it was the floor plan of the eleven floor of The Metro Court hotel. Curtis told Marshall he was going to find out who took a shot at him. Portia left a voicemail for Trina telling her she was sorry things weren’t working out between her and Spencer (Nicholas Chavez). “I just wanna say that I’m here and I love you.” After she hung up the phone, Portia said “Hopefully that will be the last of Spencer Cassadine.” Trina wasn’t having a marathon study session as she led her mother to believe. She and Spencer were in bed. “Happy Thanksgiving. So what are you thankful for?” Trina asked. “Let’s see. Those arms. Those hands. Those lips” Spencer answered. Trina and Spencer kissed. Trina said there was so much to be thankful she couldn’t list. Trina added she was also grateful he wasn’t being a jerk. Curtis told Marshall he had a lot to be thankful for and now he had a purpose. Robert introduced Diane to Emma. Anna eyed Nina. When she learned that the fire was caused because Gloria left the onions burning on the stove, Lois questioned her mother’s mistake. Wiley opened the gift basket which had a toy robot for him and a stuffed animal for Amelia. “Who’s it from?” Willow asked. “Who else” Michael (Chad Duell) answered, handing Willow the card. Wiley hoped he’d get to see Grandma Nina soon because he loved her. Willow asked Michael to play along for Wiley’s sake. Carly thanked Sonny for the pecan pie and Avery rushed into the living room to join the others playing Monkey. Sonny told Dex (Evan Hofer) he could say hi to Josslyn. Carly opened the door for another guest…Ava. Ava thanked Carly for inviting her. Lois called The Metro Court restaurant. She spoke with Nina and ordered a turkey dinner with dessert. Uri listened while Gloria told Lois about her altercation with a Russian woman while she was playing Bingo at the Russian Orthodox church. Gloria explained how the Russian woman swore at her in Russian after Gloria asked her not to talk so loudly while she was on the phone. When Gloria swore back in English, she was kicked out of the church and told she wasn’t allowed to come back and play unless she apologized. Chase (Josh Swickward) interrupted before Gloria could answer Lois’ question about what the problem was. Wiley went upstairs to bring the stuffed animal to Amelia. Michael promised to try to do better. Nina told Trish they needed a turkey dinner for fifteen. But Trish told Nina due to the two hundred head count tonight and a party in the ballroom, all their turkeys were taken. Anna cornered Nina and told her it’s time they had a chat. Trina reminded Spencer having good things was never easy…you had to work for them. Curtis told Marshall he learned in life it wasn’t always about getting, it was about giving and the experiences you learn along the way. Carly told Sonny that Josslyn suggested inviting Ava, thinking Avery would want her mother there for Thanksgiving. Carly and Sonny said they’d always do what’s best for their kids. Anna told Nina by deleting the video footage she enabled Charlotte (Scarlett Fernandez) which led to her getting shot. Nina told Anna this was between her and Valentin. “I was just doing a favor for a friend,” Nina said. “A friend? You think Sonny will see it that way?” Anna asked. Sonny told Drew it was nice seeing him out of that jumpsuit. Sonny asked Dex for the car keys saying he had somewhere to be but thought Dex would like to stay. Dex smiled and later said “Happy Thanksgiving” to Sonny. Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) was surprised when she saw pizzas as Nina said she was bringing a turkey dinner. Nina explained their turkeys were already spoken for. “Hear that grandfather…the curse continues” Ned (Wally Kurth) said looking up. Michael frowned when Wiley rushed to Nina and hugged her. Sonny greeted Emma. Michael reminded Nina this wasn’t the deal they made. Nina said she couldn’t control fate at the Quartermaines. Michael warned she better find a way to control it. Trina and Spencer arrived at the Ashford house. Spencer brought a good bottle of champagne. Portia entered because it was a slow night at the hospital. Curtis commented how they thought no one would be there for Thanksgiving but now it’s full of people. Sonny noticed the icy glance Anna gave Nina. Gloria told Lois the Russian woman’s husband is called Uncle Pete. Lois recognized the name and knew the man’s mob connections. “You have trouble with Russians…I help” Uri said. Marshall made a toast. Ava watched as Drew told Carly how grateful he was. Nina told Sonny to forget about Anna and celebrate their first Thanksgiving as husband and wife. Uri assured Lois and Gloria he could handle tough Russians like Uncle Pete. The Quartermaines sang before they ate. Curtis said the prayer and thanked God for their blessings and thanked him for being better to them as they are to themselves. “God I know you’re listening. This goes out to you. Amen.” Drew, Carly and Ava hugged Scout, Donna and Avery. Spencer served the first piece of pumpkin pie to Trina.

Tuesday

At GH, Portia (Brooke Kerr) asked Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) whether she’d heard from Dr. Gatlin-Holt (Roger Howarth). Finn (Michael Easton) interrupted to get Portia to sign off on a treatment he prescribed to a patient. Sonny (Maurice Benard) came to Sam (Kelly Monaco) and Dante’s (Dominic Zamprogna) apartment. After exchanging pleasantries and talking about their Thanksgivings, Sonny told Dante he was there on a matter of importance. Molly (Kristen Vaganos) told TJ (Taj Bellows) she got them an appointment with the matching professional. At the Port Charles Grill, Cyrus (Jeff Kober) watched as Laura (Genie Francis) sat down for lunch with Alexis (Nancy Grahan). Portia agreed with Finn’s course of treatment and said as soon as she got back to the office she’d log on and sign off on it. After he walked away, Portia told Elizabeth because the hospital was also named a defendant in the malpractice and wrongful death suit she was just following procedure. Scout told Sonny she was meeting her daddy at The Metro Court and was interviewing him for a report for school. After Sam and Scout left, Sonny told Dante the matter of concern was about the man who tried to kill Avery’s (Ava and Grace) mother. Laura asked Alexis how Esme (Avery Kristen Pohl) was doing at her job. TJ commented how Molly told the matching professional they were ready to move forward with another surrogate without discussing it with him first. Elizabeth came to Finn’s office and did breathing exercises with him so he’d be calm when she told him he did nothing wrong. Drew (Cameron Mathison) greeted Scout and gave his permission for her to record their interview. Sonny told Dante his concern Robert (Tristan Rogers) would offer Mason a plea deal. Laura told Alexis that Spencer (Nicholas Chavez) was no longer the grandchild she was most worried about. TJ told Molly he wasn’t ready now to make an emotional investment to think about having another child. Elizabeth told Finn she was going to keep reminding him he provided the best treatment possible. Finn answered a knock on his office door. It was Dee Dee Clark, the attorney representing General Hospital in the malpractice lawsuit. After the interview was over, Drew told Scout he had so big news for her. Dr. Navarro ran into Molly and asked whether she and TJ would try again to have a baby. Finn introduced Dee Dee to Elizabeth. She asked Nurse Baldwin whether she had any contact with Mr. Muldoon when he was a patient, adding her team would be doing a comprehensive reports check. If it showed she did, Dee Dee told Elizabeth she would have to interview her in the future. But in the meantime, she was there to speak with Dr. Finn. That was Elizabeth’s cue to leave. Dee Dee told Finn she was there to ensure there were no surprises in the courtroom. Cyrus dropped a tray, breaking glasses. Elizabeth volunteered to go to Austin’s apartment to check on him. Sonny told Dante that Cyrus was Mason’s boss. He told Dante about the nanny plant Betty. Sonny told Dante that both Austin and Mason were working for Cyrus. Dante called Austin. But got Detective Paul Briscoe instead who informed him Dr. Gatlin-Holt was dead. Drew wanted Scout to attend Westwood Academy, an expensive private school. Dr. Navarro told Molly that although miscarriages can happen, a lot of surrogacies are successful. She wished Molly and TJ luck in whatever they decide. Dante told Sonny that Austin Gatlin-Holt was dead. Sonny assured he had nothing to do with it. Cyrus’ boss told him the cost for the broken glasses would come out of his paycheck. Sam recalled Kristina (Kate Mansi) went to Westwood Academy. Drew told Scout going to Westwood was a great opportunity. Scout asked whether Drew wanted her to go there and agreed to make her daddy happy. Sonny told Dante that Cyrus Renault killed Austin. Sonny told he had to go. Laura told Alexis she believed Cyrus deserves a second chance like everyone else. TJ told Portia he checked on all Dr. Gatlin-Holt’s patients. He agreed to stay late if needed. Elizabeth interrupted and told Portia she found a food delivery outside Austin’s apartment door that was delivered before Thanksgiving but was never brought in. “Are you thinking what I’m thinking…should we call the police?” Elizabeth asked Portia. When they returned home, Scout told Sam she didn’t want to go to Westwood Academy. Molly arrived at the Port Charles Grill to meet with the matching professional Claire Brown. “Dr. Finn, when Mr. Muldoon told you about his symptoms, did you ever think it might be cancer?” Dee Dee asked. “Before answering more questions I think I’d like my lawyer present” Finn answered. Sonny got into his car and called someone. “I’m on my way to The Metro Court. Get over there now…there’s something you need to know.” Dante came to the PCPD and met Detective Briscoe, who requested inter-department cooperation to investigate the murder of Austin Gatlin-Holt.

Wednesday

Uri assured Gloria (Ellen Travolta) that no one would kill Ziti. “I’ll handle it.” Maxie (Kristen Storms) told Felicia (Kristina Wagner) she tried to save twenty-five percent by purchasing Georgie a desk that she was going to put together herself. But now she can’t…it’s another example of a bad decision she’s made. Alexis (Nancy Grahan) returned to the Port Charles Grill looking for her cellphone she left when she was there earlier. She noticed Molly (Kristen Vaganos) sitting with the matching professional. Finn (Michael Easton) thanked Martin (Michael E. Knight) for coming to GH. Finn asked Martin to represent him. Martin told Finn his case was going to be a tough one to win. “I think I may have made things worse,” Finn told Martin. Detective Briscoe wanted to know whether Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) had a conflict of interest as two months ago he shot the victim’s cousin. Ava (Maura West) met with Sonny (Maurice Benard) at The Metro Court. “Austin Gatlin-Holt is dead,” Sonny told Ava. Martin told Finn that General Hospital’s defense is that he and he alone was responsible for Mr. Muldoon’s death. Molly quickly closed the file folder of surrogate candidates when Alexis approached her table. Maxie told Felicia she felt she dug herself in a financial hole she wouldn’t be able to dig herself out of. Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) told Gloria she needed to call Uncle Sonny when she learned her grandma was in trouble with the Russian mob. “If you killed Austin, you need to tell me now” Sonny told Ava. Chase (Josh Swickward) joined Dante’s meeting with Detective Briscoe, who told them they put Austin’s time of death two days before Thanksgiving and he died from two gunshot wounds at close range. Sonny told Ava every second they waste makes it harder for him to cover her tracks. Detective Briscoe wanted confirmation Mason Gatlin didn’t sneak out of the hospital and murder his cousin. Mr. Petrov arrived at the Quartermaine mansion. Molly told Alexis she’s started looking for a new surrogate. Dee Dee arrived at Finn’s office and told Martin she still had a few questions for his client. Mr. Petrov explained he was there because his nephew used to take trombone lessons from Uri. He called it a wasted trip when Gloria still refused to apologize. Maxie told Felicia she was in over her head and didn’t know what to do. Martin warned Dee Dee she needed to change her tactic because if General Hospital hired her to shift all the blame on Finn, he could and would shift it right back. Detective Briscoe learned Austin was the illegitimate son of Jimmy Lee Holt. Ava and Sonny wondered whether someone lured Austin back to Pautauck. Brook Lynn offered to get Mr. Petrov’s on tour as a trombonist with Luke West and the Stack 7 if he could find it in his heart to let go of the misunderstanding. “So ma…what do you say?” Lois (Rena Sofer) asked Gloria. Alexis told Molly she respected her for keeping fighting for what she wanted. “That’s the problem…TJ has no idea I’m doing this” Molly told Alexis. Felicia told Maxie to add up all her debt and she and Mac (John J. York) would go through their retirement portfolio to see what they could liquidate to loan her the money. Ava told Sonny that Austin came to see her at the gallery a couple of days before Thanksgiving. Dante told Mason his cousin Austin Gatlin-Holt had been murdered. Dee Dee reminded Martin the goal was to fight the Muldoons not each other. Martin told Dee Dee that Mr. Muldoon’s death was an unforeseen tragedy that neither Dr. Finn nor the hospital could have predicted. Dee Dee told Martin she looked forward to asking Dr. Finn all her questions at the deposition. Gloria reluctantly agreed to stay away from St. Nicholas’ church and Mrs. Petrov. After Mr. Petrov left, Lois praised Brook Lynn’s handling of the situation. Molly talked about the gift of surrogacy. When Chase arrived at the Quartermaine mansion, Gloria told him “Now that you’re here, there’s a few things I’d like to say about my granddaughter.” Before she left, Gloria asked Brook Lynn when she and Chase were getting married. Maxie told Felicia she didn’t want to bail herself out at the expense of her and Mac. “Honey, you really need to talk to TJ about this” Alexis said, adding that both Molly and TJ had to be on board with this before going forward. Martin told Finn the hospital might try to buy their way out of this at a cheaper rate and would throw him under the bus. Austin named Ava as the person who killed Austin. Before leaving Mason’s hospital room, Dante told him he just got word Mason was being transferred to Pentonville tonight. Ava told Sonny how she and Austin fought the last time she saw him. Sonny told Ava she had a motive for murder. “So whether you killed Austin or not you could wind up as the prime suspect” Sonny said.

Thursday

Portia (Brooke Kerr) asked TJ (Taj Bellows) whether he wanted to talk with her about whatever was bothering him. “I might have made a huge mistake with Molly,” TJ said. Molly (Kristen Vaganos) watched Willow (Katelyn MacMuellen) playing with Amelia in the park. James told Maxie (Kristen Storm) and Felicia (Kristina Wagner) how Cody (Josh Kelly) helped him saddle a horse today. “ Cody is the coolest” James said with admiration. Kristina (Kate Mansi) saw a brochure for Westwood Academy and asked whether Sam (Kelly Monaco) was considering sending Scout there. Sam answered that Drew (Cameron Mathison) was pushing it. Michael (Chad Duell) came to The Metro Court looking for Sonny (Maurice Benard) and asked whether Nina (Cynthia Watros) knew where he was. Sonny entered. “There’s a few things we need to settle,” Sonny said. Ava (Maura West) returned to Wyndemere. The butler Giles offered to make her a martini but she said surprisingly she wasn’t in the mood for it. After Giles walked away, Ava thought about her conversation with Sonny when he told her about Austin’s death and said if she killed him she needed to tell him. Someone rang the doorbell. “Detective Falconieri to see Ava Jerome” Dante (Dominic Zamprogna? told Giles. James told Maxie and Felicia that Cody was going to show him how to put Georgie’s desk together. Sam was unsure about Scout transferring to Westwood. Kristina told Sam she should just say No to Drew about Westwood. Dante told Ava she could answer some questions for him. “When was the last time you saw Austin Gatlin-Holt?” Dante asked. Willow asked Molly to join her and Amelia. TJ told Portia he couldn’t process having another baby this soon. Portia told TJ she didn’t think it was too soon to think about having another baby. Sonny asked Michael whether he, Willow and the kids could spend time with him and Nina as a family. Dante said he got the impression Ava already knew how Austin died. Sonny asked Michael to come with Willow and the kids over to his place for Christmas Eve dinner, adding he was making a big salad and Ms. Cerullo’s ravioli. Portia reminded TJ life was too short and he shouldn’t delay the things he wanted in life. “Time waits for no one and it plays by its own rules,” Portia told TJ . Willow told Molly she wanted to enjoy every precious moment with her sweet little angel Amelia. “Would you like to hold her?” Willow asked Molly. Cody told Felicia how James had a real understanding of horses. James was proud of the job he and Cody did assembling Georgie’s desk. Sam told Kristina how she didn’t want Drew to feel shutout of Scout’s life, adding there was no discussion or debate. Sam told Kristina that something about Drew has changed. Molly asked Willow after what happened with her first child did she ever think she didn’t want to try again. After Sonny walked away, Michael asked Nina “What the hell are you trying to pull? Using Sonny to get to me.” Dex (Evan Hofer) came to The Metro Court and told Sonny they’ve heard from Pikeman. James asked whether Cody could spend the night there. “I wish Cody was my brother,” James said. Dex told Sonny the representative from Pikeman would meet him wherever he wanted. Michael told Nina he wished he could expose her to the whole world for the liar she was but knew it would hurt his father and Willow. Sonny asked what he missed when he noticed a tenseness between Nina and Michael. Willow told Molly how she’ll always regret her not sharing the life altering decision of delaying her chemo treatments with Michael. Felicia told James how although Cody would make an awesome big brother they had to settle with him being their friend. When James and Maxie went to walk Cody out, Felicia thought about when Cody said Mac (John J. York) the DNA test said Mac wasn’t his father. Due to a broken security camera at the back entrance of the gallery, Ava didn’t have proof she left the gallery after midnight. Sonny told Michael he wanted to take him and Wiley to a Yankee’s game next summer in order to create memories. TJ thanked Portia for her advice. Willow told Molly her wish Michael saw Nina as she was now instead of focusing on the things she’d done in the past. Ava opened the mail. Inside was a note that read You’re Welcome with a polaroid picture of a shot Austin lying on the floor. When Dante returned home, Sam told him “I think Drew and I may have hit our first co-parenting snag and I don’t know what to do about it.” Michael joined Willow and Amelia in the park. Willow told him about Molly then asked where’d he been because she tried calling then sent him a couple of texts. “I had a meeting outside of work. Someone needed to be straightened out” Michael told Willow. Sonny told Nina he appreciated her being patient with Michael. Kristina comforted Molly when she found her crying in the park.

Friday

Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) told Lois (Rena Sofer) Chase (Josh Swickward) was probably halfway to Canada after grandma’s tirade on marriage. Kristina (Kate Mansi) brought Molly (Kristen Vaganos) home to her apartment. Molly commented she realized it was the first time she’d ever been there. Finn (Michael Easton) and Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) were having dinner at a fancy restaurant Cafe Cherie. Finn said they were only celebrating if she deemed the calm before the storm as something special. A suave businessman entered Kelly’s. Sonny (Maurice Benard) told Dex (Evan Hofer) “Let’s see what Pikeman had to say.” At Wyndemere, Ava (Maura West) showed Nina (Cynthia Watros) the letter and polaroid of Austin (Roger Howarth) lying dead that she received in the mail. Finn told Elizabeth about his meeting with Dee Dee Clark. Kristina told Molly she had an open invitation to come to her apartment any time she wanted day or night. Brook Lynn told Lois she and Chase were nowhere near marriage and were perfectly fine with that. Chase entered. The businessman told Carly (Laura Wright) Kelly’s was recommended to him because he had a craving for a burger. Carly told him she owned Kelly’s and was third generation. Nina told Ava she had to bring the photo to the police. Sonny told Dex it could be a problem if everyone saw him threaten Austin. “They could assume you did it.” Ava told Nina the whole story about how she thought she killed Nicholas (Adam Huss) and after Austin found her trying to hide the body and Austin said he would help her cover it up. Then she was being blackmailed by Austin’s cousin Mason and it turned out Austin was working with Mason. Sonny told Dex if he were picked up by the police he’d have the best representation. Because he was no use to him if the police had him. The business man loved the burger. When she saw a homeless man looking in the window, Carly went outside and told him he couldn’t be there because it was too cold and he needed to come inside. Molly told Kristina about having a folder of potential surrogate candidates that TJ (Taj Bellows) knew nothing about. Elizabeth told Finn the jury would be sympathetic after he testified. “Really…have you met me?” Finn asked. He explained he felt the minute he got on the stand the jury’s sympathies would be with the family. Elizabeth assured he won her over so winning over the jury would be a cake walk. Lois apologized to Chase for her mother Gloria (Ellen Travolta). “And for a woman of her generation, if you’re in love you put a ring on it” Lois said. Molly told Kristina she took the meeting with the matching professional alone because she wanted to be one of those people who had success with a surrogate. Carly offered to bring the homeless man something to eat and told him if he changed his mind he could come in. Ava told Nina per usual “All roads lead back to Sonny.” Hugh showed Sonny a briefcase full of money and said Pikeman was willing to pay double for him to do another shipment. Molly told Kristina about running into Willow (Katelyn MacMuellen) and Amelia in the park and WIllow let her hold the back. But after they left, Molly realized she might never be a mother. Brook Lynn said she was sorry after Lois left. Elizabeth told Finn once they got to know him they’d see what she did. He had the potential to save a lot of lives. “Not if I lose this malpractice suit” Finn said. Carly gave the homeless man a grilled cheese sandwich, a slice of pie and a coffee and said he could sit out there and eat. The businessman asked Carly why she fed the homeless man when she came back inside Kelly’s. Dex told Sonny “I think you made a mistake” after Hugh left when Sonny said he wouldn’t move another shipment for Pikeman. Ava told Nina that Sonny told her how Austin was working for Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober). Brook Lynn told Chase about Cerullo and Falconieri weddings. Ava told Nina if she brought the note and photo to the cops they’d think she hired someone to kill Austin. “Even dead, that man is still making trouble for me” Ava told Nina. Sonny told Dex “I’m betting they’ll think I’m more trouble than I’m worth and move on.” Kristina asked Molly once TJ came around “Let me help you…let me carry a baby for you and TJ.” Chase got down on one knee and asked “Brook Lynn Quartermaine…will you marry me?” Elizabeth told Finn all they can do as medical professionals is do their best and he did that. She told Finn they had their work cut out to get the jury to like him. Kristina told Molly bringing her child into this world is something she wanted to do for her and this family. Molly told Kristina she had to talk with TJ. But no matter what they decided , it meant everything to her that Kristina offered. Ava burned the note and the polaroid. Nina entered Sonny’s office and Dex left. Nina told Sonny how Ava told him Austin was working for Cyrus Renault but he should have been the one to tell her. Carly told the businessman Mr. Brennan she hoped they’d see him again at Kelly’s Mr. Brennan said he could guarantee it. As he was leaving, Hugh entered Kelly’s and told Mr. Brennan “We have a problem. Corinthos refuses to move anymore of our shipments.”
