A weekly column highlighting the Port Charles happenings during the past week on General Hospital. Read below to find out what you missed or to refresh your memory in time for next week.

Monday

Lois (Rena Sofer) calculated Ned’s (Wally Kurth) numbers for the deal Michael (Chad Duell) negotiated. “Oh Chase, you really don’t have to do this,” Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) said when Chase (Josh Swickward) got down on bended knee and asked her to marry him. “Chrissy, are you sure you want to be the surrogate for me and TJ?” Molly (Kristen Vaganos) asked Kristina (Kate Mansi). At Kelly’s, Carly (Laura Wright told Josslyn (Eden McCoy) she had an update on her grandmother. “Was Ava right? Is Cyrus after you? Is your life in danger?” Nina (Cynthia Watros) asked Sonny (Maurice Benard), who didn’t want her to worry. But Nina didn’t understand how he didn’t want to discuss with her a ruthless man like Cyrus who just got released from prison could be after him. Over a bowl of ice cream they shared, Carly told Josslyn that because Luke (Anthony Geary) didn’t have his papers in order, Bobbie (Jacqueline Zeman) had to stay in Amsterdam a little longer. Sonny told Nina the SEC came after Carly to get to him. Nina told SOnny her situation was nothing like Carly’s. TJ (Taj Bellows) entered the apartment as Molly and Kristina were hugging. Kristina left so they could talk. She got a text from Blaze (Jacqueline Grace Lopez) and texted her address and asked Blaze to meet her at her apartment. “I’ve been thinking a lot about our last conversation” TJ told Molly, who said she was too and asked him to hear her out first. Lois told Ned it didn’t make any sense that he felt Michael shouldn’t have made that deal. Chase assured her mother and grandmother being stuck on them getting married wasn’t why he proposed. Molly told TJ she only wanted to explore new surrogates only if he was into it too. Blaze called Kristina’s apartment cozy and pulled out a bottle of champagne for them. Chase pulled out an engagement ring and told Brook Lynn they couldn’t take marriage off the table. Josslyn told Carly about Adam’s (Joshua Benard) panic attack. Nina asked Sonny whether Carly running his business while she was the reason he was in Nixon Falls was what they were talking about. Blaze told Kristina her real name was Allison Rogers Ramirez. TJ and Molly apologized for not listening to each other. Chase told Brook Lynn he brought the ring weeks ago and planned to propose on Christmas, adding his father’s diagnosis convinced him life was too short. Lois asked Ned whether Michael closing the deal and not him was what this was all about. Drew (Cameron Mathison) came to Kelly’s and said he wanted to take Carly out for dinner before he had to go to Australia. Nina told Sonny if her husband was in danger she’d do whatever she could to make sure he came home. “And if there was a chance my husband didn’t come home, don’t you think I should know?” Brook Lynn accepted Chase’s marriage proposal and told him she loved the ring and would love him for the rest of her life. “Lois, if I don’t figure out a way to stop him, Michael will push me out,” Ned said. Lois said it made her so sad after all these years the Quartermaines were still fighting. Molly told TJ how Kristina found her crying in the park. Blaze told Kristina the story of how she signed up for an open mic night high school but got stage fright. The DJ challenged her asking whether she wanted to scurry off like a scared little rabbit or go out in a blaze of glory. So she went out on stage and sang her heart out. And from that day on, she was Blaze. Blaze asked Kristina what she was like in high school. Carly asked Drew why he was going to Australia. Kristina told Blaze about Kiefer, Trey and Parker. Molly told TJ how Kristina offered to be their surrogate again. Lois told Ned how Edward pitted family memories against each other and asked whether he wanted to continue his grandfather’s legacy. Drew told Carly he was going to Australia so Michael didn’t have to leave Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) and the kids. Chase told Brook Lynn when he tells anyone about the day he met her he’ll say it was special. Lois suggested Ned try Lila’s way and try to look for the good in people. She added that he could thank Michael for making the deal and the next time a deal came along they could collaborate. Ned commented Lois channeled his grandmother and she’d be proud of him. Drew told Carly that Ned couldn’t see past his own ego and wouldn’t let Ned stab him in the back again. “I can’t undo what I’ve been through,” Drew said. But they decided to focus on themself. Sonny told Nina she didn’t need to be worried about Cyrus (Jeff Kober). Nina told Sonny he didn’t need to shield her because she’s tougher than she looked. TJ told Molly he thinks they should accept Kristina’s offer. “Let’s have a baby,” TJ said. Kristina told Blaze that Parker was her first and only relationship with a woman but she dumped her for her ex. “But if not for Parker I might have gone on denying that part of myself for God knows how long.” “I certainly know what that’s like,” Blaze said. Then, Blaze and Kristina kissed.

Tuesday

Laura (Genie Francis) told Esme (Avery Kristen Pohl) she could leave some of her stuff at the apartment when she came to visit, which she hoped she did often. Ava (Maura West) came to the Port Charles Grill and asked Cyrus (Jeff Kober) a question “Austin Gatlin-Holt is dead…so why did you kill him?” Kristina (Kate Mansi) assured Blaze (Jacqueline Grace Lopez) she wasn’t comfortable that they kissed. Anna (Finola Hughes) came to see Felicia (Kristina Wagner) because she could really use a friend. Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) told Sam (Kelly Monaco) the item in the evidence bag could be the key on who’s trying to kill Anna. Mr. Brennan commented it would have been easy if Sonny (Maurice Benard) had taken the money. Cyrus (Donnell Turner) came to see Sonny and told him he needed names “Specifically who would take a shot at you at The Metro Court.” Felicia hugged Anna who cried “I shot a guy.” Dante told Sam it was a key to a bus station locker and about Anna’s evidence against Jameson Forsyte that vanished. Hugh asked Brennan “Won’t an extended absence be a problem for the Director of the WSB?” Sonny told Curtis that he’s already checked on the several people who might want him dead, adding Anna had a list just as long. Curtis asked Sonny who was at the top of his list. Cyrus denied killing Austin. Ava told Curtis she knew he ordered Austin’s cousin Mason to kidnap her so Austin would testify for him. “And how did you pay Austin back for giving you back your life? By taking his” Ava said. Laura told Esme that if she found it was a mistake moving out, she could always move back in because her home would always be a safe landing place. Blaze told Kristina being out wasn’t an option for her. Kristina told Blaze she didn’t have to defend her sexuality to her. “Everyone’s on their own journey.” Cyrus asked Ava whether she killed Austin, adding she could check with his manager because he’s worked until closing every night. “So I have an alibi…do you?” Blaze told Kristina she put her focus on her career. “Blaze, do you think your fans wouldn’t accept your sexuality?” Kristina asked. Anna told Felicia that Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) didn’t tell her that Charlotte (Scarlett Fernandez) was after her. Mr. Brennan told Hugh that both Sonny Cornithos and Anna Devane were their priority. Cyrus asked what brought Laura to The Metro Court so long. Blaze told Kristina how Linc didn’t know she was a lesbian. She explained if she came out now her very Catholic family wouldn’t accept her. Dante told Sam he won’t know whether the missing report was in the locker until she checked. Anna told Felicia it was over between her and Valentin. Sonny told Curtis the rifle responsible for the shooting was liberated from a WSB locker in Berlin. “So you think Anna was the target?” Curtis asked. “Not necessarily,” Sonny answered. Blaze told Kristina about her one uncle no one in the family talks about who could have been gay. “Revealing your true self to your loved ones is the scariest decision you could make. But it’s also a necessary one” Kristina told Blaze. Sam and Dante speculated the key to the locker at the bus station could be a setup to trap Anna. Anna told Felicia about Forsyte and the report she kept. Mr. Brennan told Hugh since money didn’t work they had to find a different type of leverage. Sonny told Curtis that Pikeman was in bed with the WSB and that Pikeman had made overtures to him. Dante told Sam if the WSB found the report in the locker and destroyed it, Anna would be in even more danger. Mr. Brennan told Hugh about the WSB op that went sideways that Anna worked explaining she kept a copy of the original report. Forsythe was supposed to retrieve the report and eliminate Anna. “But he failed at both.” Anna told Felicia how when she fired her gun that night she thought it was Forsythe there to kill her. Kristina told Blaze about coming out to her parents. She added that her dad accepted her right away and his love and support helped. Cyrus told Laura how everything he’s done was to protect his family and has been rejected at every turn. He cried that she, Martin and every one could continue to treat him like dirt. But he and God knew what was in his heart. Blaze told Kristina her family wasn’t there yet for her to come out. Kristina said whatever Blaze needed from her she was there for her. They both called each other amazing. Laura told Cyrus she looked forward to him proving her wrong and looked forward to giving him an apology in the future. Cyrus told Laura if she didn’t see him around for the next week he’d be visiting his mother. “I missed her when I was in prison even if she didn’t miss me,” Cyrus said. Blaze said she’d see her around before leaving Kristina’s apartment. Dante told Sam that Anna was the only remaining witness to what happened on the op. “Whoever wants to bury that report wants to bury her too” Dante said. “I bet you Forsythe died because of something that was in that report” Anna told Felicia. Mr. Brennan commented the report was out there somewhere like a ticking bomb. Sonny told Curtis he didn’t know for certain Pikeman tried to kill him but couldn’t see why they would try to kill Anna. “But to find out I’m going to have to start back at square one and see where this trail leads” Curtis told Sonny.

Wednesday

Curtis (Donnell Turner), Trini (Tabyana Ali) and Marshall (Robert Gossett) went Christmas tree shopping. Spencer (Nicholas Chavez) offered to drive Esme (Avery Kristen Poh) and Ace to their new apartment. Laura (Genie Francis) asked Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) for an update on the Austin Gatlin-Holt murder investigation. Maxie (Kristen Storms) told Cody (Josh Kelly) and Sasha (Sofia Mattsson) their public appearance at Wyndham’s went well because “You two have a special chemistry that everyone can see.” Adam (Joshua Benard) came to Josslyn (Eden McCoy) and Trina’s dorm room nervous to look at the results of the organic chemistry test. He asked whether they could look together. Jake (Hudson West) asked Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) whether something was wrong because she was trying too hard to act happy while they were picking out a Christmas tree.

Finn (Michael Easton) and Martin (Michael E. Knight) arrived at The Invader where Alexis (Nancy Grahan) agreed to act as opposing counsel to help him prepare for his disposition. She warned she won’t be playing nice. Dante gave Laura and Jordan (Tanisha Harper) information about Austin’s murder. Trina picked out a small Christmas tree. Elizabeth told Jake she was worried about Finn. “There’s a situation at the hospital where he’s accused of doing something wrong,” Elizabeth said. “Like a malpractice suit?” Jake asked. Martin told Finn they had to make sure he didn’t say something on the record he couldn’t take back. “I can’t rely on you anymore Spencer” Esme told Spencer. Josslyn told Adam he got a 97% on his Organic Chemistry makeup test. Adam called his dad to tell him about his score on the makeup test. He lied he had to take a makeup test because his professor asked him to take his friend Josslyn to the emergency room. Maxie told Cody and Sasha they were booked for a desert photo shoot at Monument Valley, adding “Deception is not just selling makeup, we are selling romance.” Martin told Finn the key to winning the case is preparation. Elizabeth confirmed Finn was being sued for malpractice. She told Jake she was proud of him for picking up the slack since Cameron (William Lipton) left. She asked whether she could ask him a question. Curtis told Trina that since they’ve been blessed with a beautiful house with high ceilings they should fill it with the biggest tree possible. Esme told Spencer she had to get used to doing things alone. Spencer apologized saying he was wrong about her moving out. Dante told Laura there were a couple of persons of interest. “One of them is your brother,” Dante said. Felicia interrupted Maxie’s meeting with Cody and Sasha , saying she didn’t want her to worry “James is okay.” Marshall told Trina a story about the tree Curtis picked out when he was barely three. “How are things with you and Charlotte?” Elizabeth asked. Jake answered she hasn’t texted him back and has always been hard to read. Josslyn questioned Adam for lying and asked “When are you going to start making decisions about your own life?” Esme watched from the sidelines as Spencer said an emotional and tearful goodbye to Ace. “I will always, always, always be your big brother no matter what happens, “ Spencer told Ace. Alexis told Finn to keep his answers short and to the point. Laura asked Dante whether he had any proof to back up his accusation that Austin and Mason were both working for Cyrus (Jeff Kober). Alexis and Martin reminded Finn that Diane (Carolyn Henessy) would focus on every word that came out of his mouth. Elizabeth told Jake that Charlotte had emotional and physical wounds that would take awhile to heal. Trina left when she got a text. Felicia told Maxie the school called when James complained about a tummy ache, adding Liesl (Kathleen Gati) examined him and said it was a case of the twenty-four hour flu that’s going around. Josslyn told Adam she got a ninety on the makeup test. “I’m sorry. I’m sure you’ll do better next time” Adam said before leaving Spencer sadly looked on as Esme left the apartment with Ace. Dante told Laura he believed someone wiped the security footage of Austin (Roger Howarth) visiting Cyrus. Alexis questioned Finn about his diagnosis of Mr. Muldoon. Marshall commented how excited Curtis’ mother Irene always was about Christmas. Trina arrived at Kevin (Jon Lindstrom) and Laura’s apartment. Seeing the look on Spencer’s face, she hugged him. Curtis recalled how his mother and Aunt Stella (Vernee Watson) worked all year to make Christmas magical for him and his brother Tommy. He told Marshall how his mother said the best presents were the smiles on their faces. Trina told Spencer how special and safe he felt with him will always be imprinted in Ace’s heart. Adam took more pills and sat down to study. Maxie decided to go home to be with James. She set Cody and Sasha up for the conference call. After Maxie and Felicia left, Cody and Sasha began the conference call. Alexis and Martin told Finn that when she asked him the question , he only needed to say one word: Yes. “Okay, let’s take it from the top” Alexis said and they began the mock disposition again. Laura vowed “If my brother is the same ruthless killer he always was, I’ll make sure he never sees the light of day again.”

Thursday

Alexis (Nancy Grahan) and Gregory (Gregory Harrison) encouraged Violet (Jophelle Love) to select a special tree instead of a perfect one. Robert (Tristan Rogers) helped Diane (Carolyn Hennesey) pick out a Christmas tree. Curtis (Donnell Turner) praised Marshall (Robert Gossett) on his Christmas tree decorating. Marshall found an old ornament Curtis’ mother Irene made to celebrate their first Christmas when they were first married. At Cafe Cherie, Lucy (Lynn Herring) and Scott (Kin Shriner) had drinks and he said he was grateful to have a friend like her. Carly (Laura Wright) smiled when Mr. Brennan entered Kelly’s. Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) told Anna (Finola Hughes) he got a look at the final arson report. “Was it Charlotte?” Anna asked. Marshall told Curtis his and Irene’s first tree with that ornament was his best one. Lucy commented they were better friends than lovers then asked “Have you heard from Serena?” Alexis ran into Diane and Robert shopping for her Christmas tree. When Violet and Charlotte came up, Gregory said “What an unfortunate incident running into you Ms. Miller?” Brennan ordered a BLT with fries. Dante told Anna there was no evidence tying Charlotte (Scarlett Fernandez) to the fire at her house. But a piece of fabric containing the accelerant used to set the first matched Forsythe’s DNA. Diane and Robert beat a hasty retreat. She told Robert about the GH malpractice suit. Anna wondered what happened to the report now that Forsythe was dead. Brennan told Carly his visit to Port Charles was open ended. Curtis told Marshall he loves Christmas to this day because that’s when his mama was most happy. Lucy commented how although she was just the surrogate she felt she gave Serena her spirit heart. Portia (Brooke Kerr) came home and complimented the decorated Christmas tree. Marshall went outside on the patio to get some air and had a vision of his wife Irene. Alexis told Gregory from the facts of the case Diane will probably win. Brennan told Carly he ran a private security firm. He hid his face when Diane and Robert entered and ordered hot chocolate to go. Anna told Dante she didn’t think Forsythe acted alone. “Someone else is involved,” Anna said. The coroner entered and said Forsythe’s body was gone. Alexis told Gregory the winning attorney was the one who made the most compelling argument to the jury. Lucy commented that Scott could be the next Golden Bachelor. “What’s going on with you…why are you flying alone?” Scott asked Lucy. “Irene, why did I ever leave?” Marshall asked. “I may have something special but it’s not a present. It’s the chance to walk again” Portia told Curtis. The coroner told Anna and Dante that the WSB not only took the body but his notes. Dante checked his cellphone and saw the arson report was now marked as classified. When his order was up, Carly noticed Brennan was gone. Scott commented that Martin (Michael E. Knight) should be paying attention to him at all times. Portia told Curtis about a procedure she read about where a man paralyzed from the waist down could walk with full body support after eleven days. The vision of Irene told Marshall it was a waste of time looking back on something that couldn’t be changed when he should be living the life he had now. Alexis told Gregory how she helped Finn (Michael Easton) prepare for his disposition. “Hey Violet, is that the one?” Alexis asked when the little girl was by a tree. Anna told Dante “I think someone at the WSB is going through a great deal of trouble to clear this up.” Brennan returned to Kelly’s with a bouquet of flowers for Carly. “I hope you’ll accept them with my apologies.” The vision of Irene told Marshall she managed to have a full life with her boys. She added she lived her life and she loved living it. She encouraged him to be grateful for the life he had with their beautiful family. The vision of Irene told Marshall to enjoy this Christmas and every one after and she’d be right there enjoying it with him. Portia told Curtis she submitted his name and medical records and she heard back and they were considering him to be part of the trial. Curtis thanked Portia. Scott told Lucy he still felt that spark between them. An uncomfortable Lucy left. Violet suggested they leave the pretty tree there for someone else to find and give a home while she looks for one that’s special. Brennan convinced Carly to accept the flowers but she turned down his dinner invitation. Anna told Dante she would handle the investigation alone from now on because she wouldn’t put anyone else in danger.

Friday

Violet (Jophelle Love) told Finn (Michael Easton) and Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) to look at their Christmas tree. “Are we 100% sure we want her to be our surrogate?” TJ (Taj Bellows) asked Molly (Kristen Vaganos) before they came to talk with Kristina (Kate Mansi). “I came by to give you an update. The arsonist who set fire to my house…it wasn’t Charlotte” Anna (Finola Hughes) to Valentin (James Patrick Stuart). Lois (Rena Sofer) and Olivia (Lisa LoCierco) called the undecorated house a disaster. Tracy (Jane Eliott) was on the flight home and cried when she looked at a picture of her and Luke (Anthony Geary) on her cellphone. Lois remembered how Olivia used to decorate for Christmas. They decided to put up the Christmas decorations. Violet explained to Finn and Elizabeth why she chose the tree. She said her daddy would put up the lights. Molly called Kristina being their surrogate fate. When Kristina opened the door, Molly started to ask the question. “Yes, I’ll be your surrogate” Kristina happily accepted. Anna told Valentin about the DNA evidence that proved Charlotte wasn’t the arsonist but refused to tell him who it was. Elizabeth made hot cocoa for everyone to drink before they decorated the tree. Chase (Josh Swickward) and Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) arrived with more decorations. Anna told Valentin he didn’t need to know who the arsonist was. “I can’t tell you who burned my house down because I can’t trust you” Anna told Valentin. Molly explained how she felt entitled to being a mom. But now realized she had to accept she wasn’t in control and ask for help. Lois and Olivia talked about being a mother and how you accept, provide guidance and support your kids. Because Cody (Josh Swickward) would be there with the tree at any moment, Lois and Olivia rushed to the attic to get the ornaments. Kristina told Molly they weren’t ready when she originally offered to be their surrogate. “You need to focus on your daughter and get her the help she needs,” Anna told Valentin. As they unpacked the ornaments and had drinks, Lois and Olivia remembered getting in trouble at school during their sophomore year. Cody entered with the tree and more ornaments. As the plane prepared for landing, Tracy said to Luke she missed him. Anna told Valentin he wasn’t doing Charlotte (Scarlett Fernandez) any favors by enabling her. She reminded him that despite being manipulated by Victor (Charles Shaughnessy), Charlotte came up with the ideas to scare her on her own. Cody, Lois and Olivia began decorating the Christmas tree. Chase announced that he and Brook Lynn were getting married. TJ, Molly and Kristina drank a toast to “this expanding family” with ginger ale. Anna told Valentin that Charlotte was responsible for her own actions and he had to not only make her understand that but get her the help she needs before she does something irrevocable. Violet asked Chase to get down on one knee and put the engagement ring on Brook Lynn’s finger because she wanted the complete picture. “Daddy, when are you going to get Aunt Elizabeth a ring?” Violet asked. Elizabeth suggested they decorate the tree. Lois explained to Cody about the term zia and how to use it. Cody told Lois he liked working for the Quartermaines because it’s the first place in a long time that felt like home.” Before leaving, Cody thanked Lois and Olivia for getting him into the spirit of Christmas. Valentin told Anna because Victor convinced Charlotte that Anna was dangerous and she shot her so in Charlotte’s mind, Victor was right. Valentin and Anna both said they were sorry, then Anna left. With Chase accompanying on the guitar, Violet sang a song she wrote as a present she had for all of them. After TJ and Molly left, Kristina texted Blaze (Jacqueline Grace Lopez) that she had news to tell her. As Lois and Olivia admired the decorating they did, Tracy entered and said “No, no, no…this will not do. Not at all.”
