A weekly column highlighting the Port Charles happenings during the past week on General Hospital. Read below to find out what you missed or to refresh your memory in time for next week.

Monday

“I’m not too young to sing at your wedding…please, ” Violet (Jophelle Love) told Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton). Curtis (Donnell Turner) told Marshall (Robert Gossett) if he got his wish this year he was never asking for anything else again. Dex (Evan Hofer) told Josslyn (Eden McCoy) he didn’t need a Christmas tree. Sam (Kelly Monaco) and Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) realized they had too many family members in which to celebrate Christmad with. “This is our first Christmas as husband and wife and I’m going to go all out” Nina (Cynthia Watros) told Sonny (Maurice Benard). Tracy (Jane Eliott) said it looked like Coney Island in there with the way Lois (Rena Sofer) and Olivia (Lisa LoCicero) decorated. Tracy commented she was home in the nick of time. But Leo disagreed and said “Christmas is ruined.” Nina showed Sonny all the Christmas gifts she brought. “It looks like you thought about everything. But what about Amelia and Wiley?” Sonny asked. Sam noticed Dante still had the bus stop locker key. Dex made a comment about having Christmas childhood magic. Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) told Violet sometimes planning a wedding takes a whole year. “You’re going to wait a whole year?” Violet asked Brook Lynn. Leo told Tracy that Christmas was about fun and Tracy didn’t like to have fun. “Face it if my son was still in his right mind, you never would have been given free rein” Tracy told Lois and Olivia. Curtis told Marshall about the experiment procedure Portia (Brooke Kerr) found. Tracy was annoyed that no one told her Ned’s (Wally Kurth) memory was fully restored. “If Ned didn’t prompt this visit, why did you fly all the way home?” Olivia asked. Brook Lynn assured Violet they were getting married way before a year. Elizabeth changed the subject to the crooked Christmas tree when Violet commented about a wedding with two brides and two grooms. Dex told Josslyn about his dysfunctional childhood where his father cheated on his mother and how his brothers grew up to be just like his dad and beat him up. Dante told Sam about the arson report on Anna’s (Finola Hughes) house and about the key to the bus station locker. Dante told Sam about the WSB confiscating Forsythe’s body. Chase and Brook Lynn when she got a text to come to the Quartermaine mansion. Gregory (Gregory Harrison) went to tuck Violet into bed. Curtis asked Marshall whether it would be a problem for him if he went through with the procedure. Nina admitted she wasn’t getting Wiley and Amelia a lot of Christmas presents because she was trying not to provoke Michael (Chad Duell). Tracy told Lois and Olivia she came back home to get the power of attorney Luke (Anthony Geary) gave her. Olivia commented she thought maybe Tracy flew all this way because she wanted to be with her family at Christmas. Nina told Sonny not to talk with Michael on her behalf. Dante told Sam he wasn’t going to tell Anna about the bus locker key. Dex told Josslyn how he enlisted the day he graduated high school to get away from his family. “I’m glad you told me. It makes me love you even more,” Josslyn told Dex. Gregory told Violet she wicked a special Christmas tree. Finn (Michael Easton) sadly commented to Elizabeth “This might be my dad’s last Christmas.” Sam asked Dante who would have his back if he went looking for the report in the bus locker. Josslyn told Dex she was going to show him how special Christmas could be. Marshall told Curtis if he wanted to have the procedure he would support him. Curtis told Marshall the procedure would start in January or February. Elizabeth told Finn if he felt himself start to backslide over sadness over his dad’s condition and she wasn’t there, she wanted him to look at the tree. Gregory told Violet he was using a cane now because he recently discovered he needed help to walk. Violet said that was okay because every now and then we needed help. When Chase and Brook Lynn arrived, Tracy noticed they looked unusually happy. “Why is that?” Tracy asked. When Curtis admitted he was scared, Marshall told him he couldn’t be brave if he didn’t have anything to lose. Elizabeth offered to drive Gregory home. Gregory told Finn it was a very good day and watching Finn with Violet made him proud. Sonny told Nina that Michael got his stubbornness from Carly (Laura Wright) and his ruthlessness from him. Sonny told Nina she as his wife was the only thing he needed for Christmas. Dante promised Sam he would be careful. He told Sam he had to do this because the WSB was grossly abusing their power and he felt he had to hold them accountable. “And for me it starts with that report” Dante told Sam. Tracy congratulated Chase and Brook Lynn when her granddaughter told her they were engaged. Tracy wished them a lifetime of happiness and hugged Brook Lynn.

Tuesday

“I knew it was too good to be true…Eddie Maine clearly has not left the building” Tracy (Jane Eliott) said when she walked in on Ned (Wally Kurth) playing his guitar. Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) overheard Maxie (Kristen Storms) on the phone with Felicia (Kristina Wagner) talking about her debt. Willow (Katelyn MacMuellen) came to see Nina (Cynthia Watros) at her office at Crimson and asked why she was pulling back. Scott (Kin Shriner) met with Liesl (Kathleen Gati) and said they broke up too soon. At Kelly’s, Hugh reminded Brennan the place was owned by Corinthos’ ex-wife and expressed concern that someone might recognize them. Sam (Kelly Monaco) met Kristina (Kate Mansi) at Kelly’s. Kristina ordered a strong drink and told Sam she was indulging while she still could. Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) was at the bus station and pulled the evidence bag containing the locker key from his pocket. Brook Lynn knocked on Maxie’s office door. She asked whether everything was okay and said she asked because she was eavesdropping. When he called her mother, Tracy asked “Ned?” “It’s me,” Ned answered. Nina assured Willow she hadn’t done or said anything to upset her. She explained having two full time jobs is taking its toll. Nina asked Willow what she thought she should get Amelia and Wiley. Liesl told Scott their problems were insurmountable. “Liesl now you tell me, are you not a little bit lonely?” Scott asked. Kristina told Sam that she and Molly (Kristen Vaganos) decided she was going to be her surrogate. Brennan assured Hugh the only person who recognized him was Anna Devane and it’s been well over thirty years. Hugh reminded spies had long memories. Dante opened the locker and took out the package. Willow suggested a doll with a career for Amelia and told Nina she, Michael and the kids were spending Christmas Eve with her and Sonny (Maurice Benard). After sharing a warm moment with her son, Tracy told Ned he needed to get his head in the game and stop Michael from taking over ELQ. Kristina told Sam she and Molly were both ready for her to be Molly’s surrogate. Brennan told Hugh it was time for him to head back to DC but needed him to find the report Forsythe stole. Scott told Liesl his belief she was doing all this traveling to hide from her grief. Brook Lynn told Maxie she and Chase (Josh Swickward) were engaged and planned to marry early in the new year. Maxie offered to be her wedding planner. “Since you are going to make me the happiest woman on my wedding day, maybe I can do something for you in return” Brook Lynn offered then asked Maxie to tell her what’s going on. Ned interrupted Nina and Willow and announced Drew (Cameron Mathison) would be spending Christmas in Australia for a business trip. After Willow left, Ned commented he was so tempted to finally let Willow know he wasn’t the one who turned Drew and Carly into the SEC. “So why didn’t you Ned?” Nina asked. Maxie refused Brook Lynn’s offer to lend her the money to get out of her financial debt. Scott told Liesl he wanted love and believed she did too. Brennan commented that someone jumped the gun prematurely when they murdered Forsythe. Dante got a safety deposit at a bank. He put on rubber gloves then opened the package he found in the bus locker. Sam told Kristina she supports her decision to be TJ and Molly’s surrogate. Dante read the report and found old B&W photos of Anna, Forsythe and an unknown man. Liesl told Scott even though they won’t be having a happy ending, she wished him happiness. Brook Lynn told Tracy she wanted to talk with her about Deception. “What I want is to make a deal with you,” Ned told Nina. Brook Lynn told Tracy she’s reconsidered her offer. Scott interrupted Lucy (Lynn Herring) telling Maxie about what happened when she had drinks with Scott. Ned told Nina in order for him to continue to take the blame for being the one to turn Drew and Carly into the SEC, he wanted Nina to get inside information on Aurora. After Kristina left, Sam texted Dante. She was startled by Willow. Brennan told Hugh if that report fell into the wrong hands it would compromise both the WSB and Pikeman. Brook Lynn told Tracy she was accepting her offer to join her at Deception in order to supplement her income as it would be hard to live on Chase’s salary and until she got more clients. “Some day in the future the company will be yours. But until that day, you have a lot to learn and I can’t wait to teach you” Tracy told Brook Lynn. Scott invited Lucy to tag along when he flew down to Florida to visit Serena (Carly Schroeder) for Christmas. Ned warned Nina unless she got him the information he wanted, he would share some inside information with Willow about how low she could stoop. As Willow was telling her about going to Sonny’s for Christmas Eve, Sam spotted Dante at the door and rushed into his arms. Brennan told Hughes whoever had the report now had to be dealt with.

Wednesday

Alexis (Nancy Grahan) returned home to a surprise visit from Molly (Kristen Vaganos) and Kristina (Kate Mansi). They told her they had good news. “So much better than Wyndemere…why did I ever give this place up?” Ava (Maura West) said. She found an envelope with another photo of Austin (Roger Howarth) and a note that read ‘Don’t Tell Anyone.’ Trina (Tabyana Ali) and Josslyn (Eden McCoy) found Adam (Joshua Benard) singing and playing his guitar outside his dorm room. At GH, Sonny (Maurice Benard) interrupted Stella (Vernee Watson) and Felicia (Kristina Wagner) discussing patient advocacy work and said he was there to see Stella. Since they were back in the privacy of their penthouse, Sam (Kelly Monaco) asked Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) if there was anything he was able to find out when he opened up the locker. “Any indication of who was after Anna?” Sam asked. Carly (Laura Wright) was at the park with Donna. Brennan found Donna’s soccer ball she’d kicked and asked “Any chance this belongs to you?” Sonny told Stella and Felicia he wanted to underwrite the hospital’s holiday celebration. “You’re like our very own Santa Claus” Felicia commented. But a little corrected and said Sonny wasn’t Santa Claus. Dante told Sam about taking the package straight to the back after obtaining it from the bus locker. Brennan asked whether he could treat Carly and Donna to a hot chocolate. Trina asked Adam to come into their dorm to play some more. “Kristina is going to be the surrogate for TJ and me?” Molly announced. Nina (Cynthia Watros) entered the penthouse. Seeing the look on Ava’s face, Nina asked what’s wrong. Dante told Sam about finding that report in the package. Felicia introduced Sonny to her patient Lindsey and explained Sonny wasn’t Santa Claus because there was only one Santa Claus but he was like Santa Claus. After he finished singing, Trina said Adam had a gift then asked him to join her and Josslyn for something to eat. Ava showed Nina the new note. “Did you get this at Wyndemere?” Nina asked. “I found it in my handbag,” Ava answered. Molly and Kristina explained the circumstances surrounding Kristina’s decision to become her surrogate. Ava told Nina she didn’t believe Cyrus (Jeff Kober) was responsible. She told Nina it was someone who wanted revenge and to watch her swarm. “Nikolas,” Ava said. Dante told Sam how Anna (Finola Hughes) kept a lot of documentation in that trunk and wondered whether Anna was trying to convince herself of all her mistakes didn’t happen. He believed she’d rewritten the ‘80s to make it easier for her to redeem herself. “Dante, do you trust Anna?” Sam asked. Sonny told Stella he was inspired to make the special gift for the hospital because he was inspired by his father. After Molly left for court, Alexis asked “Kristina, have you really thought this through?” Alexis told Kristina no amount of research could prepare her for the reality of pregnancy, adding the experience will change her. She asked Kristina whether she considered what she wanted. When Josslyn returned to the table, Trina told her about Adam playing guitar and asked whether Adam considered playing professionally. Ava told Nina about her dysfunctional relationship with Nikolas. “The killer is going through great lengths to torture me. And the only one with motive to do that is Nikolas. But this time, I’m going to beat him at his own game” Ava told Nina. Dante told Sam about the details of the op which involved a general who was going to be paid ten million 1987 dollars to defect. Anna was pretending to be the girlfriend of the general so it wouldn’t look suspicious when a man crossed the border alone. But the general was killed and the money disappeared. Dante showed Sam the wallet he kept that was also in the package. Alexis assured Kristina she had faith in her courage and her generous heart and would step back and support her because she loved her. Nina asked Ava whether she wanted to stay with her but Ava assured she was fine. After Nina left, Ava found a gun inside a desk drawer with a note that said in case she needed it. Trina told Adam if music filled his soul “I say you do it.” Felicia assured Lindsey that Santa Claus would find her at GH. Sonny told Stella he appreciated that he treated his dad like a person instead of a patient. Then they hugged. Carly told Brennan what was important to her. After thanking Brennan for the hot chocolate, Carly and Donna left for home. Dante explained how he was going to leave the wallet in the safe deposit box but decided to take it home to take a closer look at it. Sam found some twenty-one numbers on the wallet and speculated what they were. “Whatever these numbers are, how do they relate back to the WSB report and who is after Anna?” Dante asked.

Thursday

Gregory (Gregory Harrison) met with Alexis (Nancy Grahan) at Cafe Cherie. TJ (Taj Bellows) joined Stella (Vernee Watson) at the lounge while she was eating chicken and dumplings for dinner. Kristina (Kate Mansi) joined Donna and Sonny (Maurice Benard) at The Metro Court. Sonny explained they were celebrating Donna’s good report card. Ava (Maura West) thanked Carly (Laura Wright) for picking Avery (Ava and Grace Scarola) up after dance class and bringing her home. Carly asked Ava about her move and commented she looked as though she had something on her mind. Portia (Brooke Kerr) told Finn (Michael Easton) that Monica (Leslie Charleson) wanted to see him in her office. Tracy (Jane Eliott) entered Monica’s office and asked “Are you ready for this?” “Well I’m not sure,” Monica answered.

Diane (Carolyn Hennesy) and Robert (Tristan Rogers) met for dinner. They were both happy they were doing this. “I’m especially looking forward to dessert,” Diane said. “I’m tired of being the little sister, when are you and Nina going to have a baby?” Donna asked Sonny. Carly commented Ava’s been rambling about all the things she’s been handling but hadn’t mentioned her boyfriend’s murder. Gregory told Alexis how Chase (Josh Swickward) and Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) were getting married. Stella heated up an extra chicken and dumplings for TJ. He asked her whether she ever regretted moving in with her sister. Portia told Amy (Risa Dorken) to exercise a little discretion when she asked about Dr. Finn’s malpractice suit. Finn asked Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) to wish him luck as he left for Monica’s office. Finn was surprised to see Tracy in Monica’s office. She explained she was there because the hospital wanted a recommendation whether to go through with the Muldoon trial or make a separate settlement. “Which would make you the sole defendant” Monica added. Stella told TJ she never regretted moving in with her sister and her boys. She talked about her bond with her sister Irene and how proud she was of having raised Curtis and Thomas. TJ commented how he wondered whether Kristina (Kate Mansi) will feel the same way about being an aunt. Diane told Robert she brought a Christmas tree from a florist, which they even decorated. “So, how is the malpractice suit going?” Robert asked Diane. Sonny told Donna he and Nina (Cynthia Watros) weren’t having any children, adding Donna was his special forever young child. Carly asked Ava whether the police questioned her yet. Sonny asked Trish to take Donna into the kitchen to see how they make creme brulee. Kristina told Sonny how things were going with her. Sonny didn’t want Kristina to do too much that she didn’t have time for herself. He asked how her personal life was going. Alexis told Gregory she was going to be a grandmother again. Portia told Elizabeth she wanted her input on The Epiphany Johnson Nursing Scholarship which was underwritten by Sonny. Portia also told Elizabeth about Amy Driscoll asking about Finn’s case. After Portia walked away, Amy approached and told Elizabeth she was one of the nurses who assisted with Mr. Muldoon’s treatment and was supposed to give a deposition but didn’t know what to say. Elizabeth told Amy the only thing she could do was tell the truth. Finn told Tracy and Monica they should do what they needed to do. “But I stand by my treatment whether or not GH stands by me” Finn said. Kristina told Sonny she was going to be Molly (Kristen Vaganos) and TJ’s surrogate. Robert wasn’t listening when Diane was telling him about the malpractice suit. “I wasn’t thinking about the case, I was thinking about you” Robert told Diane. “So if you had anything to do with Austin’s death you don’t have to tell me. But you need to tell Sonny” Carly told Ava. TJ told Stella how Kristina offered to be their surrogate but he was worried about having to count on Kristina. Alexis told Gregory that Kristina offered to be the surrogate for Molly and TJ but she had mixed feelings about it. Finn told Elizabeth that the hospital is considering making a separate settlement with the Muldoons. Tracy interrupted and asked to speak with Finn privately. She explained although she considered Finn a dear friend she was there not as a friend but representing the hospital. Monica told Dee Dee they needed to clarify GH’s position on the malpractice suit. TJ told Stella he was worried the always impulsive Kristina would back out of her offer to be their surrogate and that would break his and Molly’s hearts. Sonny asked Kristina how her singer friend felt about her being the surrogate. Sonny told Kristina he would be happy for her if the situation changes between her and her singer friend. Diane told Robert he could meet her at her home since she drove herself there and he couldn’t drive her home. “And spend the night,” Diane added. Alexis told Gregory she was grateful Kristina could make Molly’s dream to have a baby possible. Stella told TJ about her bond with her sister Irene and how they knew each other better than anyone else. She encouraged TJ to trust Molly and Kristina’s bond. “And trust Kristina to see it through,” Stella added. Before leaving , Carly told Ava for Avery’s sake she should ask Sonny for help sooner rather than later. “Daddy, have I been a good girl?” Donna asked Sonny. “Let me think about that…you’ve been the absolute best,” Sonny answered. Diane opened her front door. She and Robert kissed as she led him inside. Tracy told Finn that General Hospital backed him because both she and Monica agreed there was no negligence. Dee Dee urged Monica to rethink her decision to support Dr. Finn. “The Muldoons have deep pockets and they are willing to fight. So ask yourself which is more important: Backing Dr. Finn or securing the future of General Hospital.”

Friday

Jordan (Tanisha Harper) wanted to talk with Alexis (Nancy Grahan) about something off the record. Blaze (Jacqueline Grace Lopez) arrived at Kristina’s (Kate Mansi) apartment and asked “What’s your big news?” Cody (Josh Kelly) found a present addressed to him at the Quartermaine stables. “Santa, if this is from you it’s a little early for Christmas.” Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) told Maxie (Kristen Storms) she was coming back to work at Deception. Robert (Tristan Rogers) asked Diane (Carolyn Hennesy) how he did for their first time together. Caroly tossed her work on the floor and shouted “You were magnificent.” Martin (Michael E. Knight) came to see Laura (Genie Francis) and asked whether their brother was still a suspect in the Austin Gatlin Holt (Roger Howarth) murder. “Yes,” Laura answered. Donna (Scarlett Spears) asked Sonny (Maurice Benard) to see Grandpa Mike’s (Max Gail) picture and asked “Do you miss him?” “Every single day” Sonny answered. Donna asked about Mike’s cap. Sonny explained how he kept it after her grandpa died but couldn’t find it. Michael (Chad Duell) arrived to take Donna Christmas shopping. “Let the record show we both enjoyed ourselves” Robert told Diane then they kissed. Martin told Laura how Cyrus (Jeff Kober) would never give up on family which he had in comment with Laura. Martin commented how Cyrus valued Laura’s high opinion of him so why would he throw that away. Jordan said she wanted to know what Alexis felt about Kristina being TJ (Taj Bellows) and Molly’s (Kristen Vaganos) surrogate. Blaze asked Kristina’s big news. “I’m going to have a baby,” Kristina answered. Sasha (Sofia Mattsson) came out from hiding and said the gift was from him and it was up to him whether he wanted to open it now or save it from Christmas. Brook Lynn told Maxie why she was coming back to Deception “So I can give it to you.” Cody ripped off the wrapping paper. It was a book on Monument Valley. Laura told Sonny she asked him to her office because she wanted to talk with him about the Austin Gatlin Holt murder investigation. Donna wished on a star that she could find her Grandpa Mike’s cap for her daddy. “I think it’s an amazing gift that Kristina is offering them…but does it happen right now?” Jordan asked Alexis. Kristina told Blaze about being TJ and Molly’s surrogate. Blaze asked Kristina what she wanted. Sasha told Cody he gave her the best gift by saving her life and sanity. Brook Lynn told Maxie she wouldn’t stop until she gained control of Deception and gave it to her. Lucy (Lynn Herring) entered and wasn’t happy to see the spy Brook Lynn. Kristina told Blaze she’s doing this for Molly and TJ but is also doing it for her. Diane asked Robert how she should refer to him. She commented they could say they were dating but asked “Are we dating exclusively?” Laura told Sonny she knew he was Dante’s (Dominic Zamprogna) source. Sasha told Cody to believe he’s a good man. Donna found a cap on a park bench. Sonny told Laura he didn’t think Cyrus killed Austin. Diane told Robert if she were to be exclusive with him she needed to know that she was his number one priority. Sonny told Laura that Cyrus just got out of prison and would do anything to make sure it stayed that way. Kristina thanked Blaze for being so supportive of her decision, adding she was really committed to this pregnancy. Alexis reminded Jordan they didn’t get a vote on this because TJ, Molly and Kristina were all adults. Brook Lynn told Lucy she should be thanking Tracy (Jane Eliott) for saving Deception. Sasha told Cody he needed to stop being so hard on himself. After Lucy left, Brook Lynn told Maxie she was getting control of the company for her to run without Lucy’s shenanigans. Cody told Sasha he ordered a Christmas present for her. As he helped her put her coat on, they almost shared a kiss. Then, Sasha left. Kristina told Blaze she liked her and didn’t want this to end. “I like you. I like what’s happening between us” Blaze said, telling Kristina she didn’t want to cut this short until they had a chance to see where this led. Jordan told Alexis if this is what their kids wanted she’d tried hard to support it. Robert told Diane the next time one of his exes needed his help he’d have to tell them Diane was his number one priority. When Martin returned to her office, Laura told him about Sonny’s belief Cyrus was innocent and her relief. She added she didn’t want Cyrus to be guilty and wanted him to turn his life around. Donna told Sonny she wished for his present then gave him the cap she found. Sonny wondered where the cap came from. “I told you daddy, I wished for it on a star. My wish came true…it’s magic” Donna said. Sonny told Donna her grandpa believed in wishes and magic and would be very proud of her. Sonny looked up towards the sky and said “Merry Christmas Dad.”
