A weekly column highlighting the Port Charles happenings during the past week on General Hospital. Read below to find out what you missed or to refresh your memory in time for next week.

Monday

Gregory (Gregory Harrison) told Alexis (Nancy Grahan) he had some plans that involved Tracy (Jane Eliott). Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) praised Chase (Josh Swickward). Molly (Kristen Vaganos) told Dr. Navarro that she and TJ (Taj Bellows) already had a new surrogate. Spencer (Nicholas Chavez) told Josslyn (Temporarily being played by Courtney Fulk) when she opened the present from him she’s going to wonder how she ever lived without it. Josslyn commented he already gave her the best gift in her best friend’s happiness. “The gift that keeps on giving.” Esme (Avery Kristen Pohl) arrived. “I was going to ask you if you need help but you seem to have it already under control” Brennan told Carly when he came to Kelly’s. Anna (Finola Hughes) met with Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) at the GH morgue. He told her he’s been investigating Jameson Forsythe. Chase told Brook Lynn “This has to be the most special Christmas my family has ever had.” Gregory told Alexis he was going to ask Tracy to go skydiving with him. But Alexis told him it would never happen. Esme explained she was having a package delivered there and got a notification it was delivered there. Trina asked Esme about her new place. Esme asked Trina whether she could talk with her for a second alone. “Spencer, just leave it” Josslyn said when Spencer tried to listen outside the door. Esme thanked Trina. Dante showed Anna the report he got from a storage locker. Dante showed Anna the three old B&W photos of her, Forsythe and an identified man and asked “Any idea who that guy is?” Brennan told Carly “Opportunities abound in Port Charles and I intend to jump on every single one of them.” Brook Lynn promised to make this the best holiday for Chase’s dad. Blaze (Jacqueline Grace Lopez) pulled her hand away from Kristina (Kristen Vaganos) when Brook Lynn called out to her. Molly told Dr. Navarro that her sister Kristina agreed to be her surrogate and they wanted to get started right away. But Dr. Navarro told her that her timetable was off. Anna identified the man as John Brennan and explained he was in field Ops the same time as her, adding he was now the current director of the WSB. Brennan commented that Carly gave off an unconventional vibe. “And I would very much like to get to know you better,” Brennan added. Gregory said it would be the one item he wouldn’t be able to check off his list. Leo told Violet (Jophelle Love) there wasn’t a Santa. Josslyn told Spencer to get away from the door and suggested they open her present. Trina told Esme she asked Spencer to let go for his own good, adding she intended to have a future with Spencer. Esme told Trina she wanted to take responsibility for her own actions so she apologized for all she did to her. She commented that maybe Trina will forgive her someday and maybe they’ll end up as friends. Trina said that would never happen. Brennan left when he received a call. Anna told Dante that Brennan wanted to eliminate any trace of the report. “And anyone who knows about it” Dante added. Dante called Sam (Kelly Monaco) and asked her to get him any information she could find on Brennan. Dante showed Anna the old wallet. Anna said twenty-one digits was the exact number for a Swiss bank account. Leo told everyone it was logically impossible for there to be a Santa Claus. Blaze suggested Chase and Brook Lynn take Leo shopping saying she got this. Once they were alone, Blaze told Violet that Leo was right. TJ and Molly were disappointed when they were told it would probably take longer to have a baby. Alexis suggested Gregory jump out of the plane alone as he didn’t need a partner. But Gregory told Alexis as he will soon be alone with his thoughts and trapped in his own body, he wanted experiences he could share with someone so they could tell his grandkids after he couldn’t or was gone. Blaze offered to give Violet singing lessons. TJ and Molly sadly commented their dream was out of reach again. Josslyn told Spencer the dart board with his face was a perfect gift. Trina told Esme that being cordial was as good as it was going to get. “Thanks for hearing me out,” Esme said and walked away. When she came back inside the apartment she told Spencer and Josslyn it didn’t matter what Esme said, it only mattered what she said. Sam sat at a table at Kelly’s and told Carly she and Dante were working on something. Brennan ordered the report be secured. Carly saw an article about Brennan on Sam’s tablet and told Sam that Brennan told her he was a security consultant. “Wait, do you know him?” Sam asked. Alexis agreed to go skydiving with Gregory, adding it would be a good story for his grandchildren. Molly commented to TJ “Should we really be asking Krissy to put her life on hold?” Blaze announced she was giving Violet singing lessons. Leo apologized for telling Violet there wasn’t a Santa Claus. Josslyn left for a study session with Adam (Joshua Benard) and suggested they plan darts later. “Okay it’s just us now…so how did things go with Esme?” Spencer asked. Trina told him Esme apologized. “But that doesn’t mean I trust her,” Trina added. While decorating her Christmas tree with Ace, Esme had a memory flash of decorating a Christmas tree when she was pregnant with him and being held captive at Wyndemere. Startled, Esme dropped the ornament on the floor, breaking it.

Tuesday

Lucy (Lynn Herring) arrived at Cafe Cherie and joined Kevin (Jon Lindstrom) at the table. She suggested they had some wine while they wait for Laura (Genie Francis) and Martin (Michael E. Knight) to join them. Ned (Wally Kurth) was surprised that Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) was going back to work at Deception. “Lois, did you know about this?” Ned asked. Lois said she did and thought it was great, Nina (Cynthia Watros) came to see Ava (Maura West) and said she needed her help “Before my whole world comes crashing down.” “Are you excited to be part of the living nativity?” Michael (Chad Duell) asked Donna. “I am too,” Cyrus (Jeff Kober) said when he approached. Carly (Laura Wright) told Sam (Kelly Monaco) Brennan had been at Kelly’s. Anna vowed to Dante that Brennan was going down. Kevin commented it’ll be nice for Lucy and Martin to spend Christmas together. Nina told Ava how Ned was blackmailing her too. Ava told Nina she felt for her but she had problems of her own. Sonny (Maurice Benard) he wouldn’t be one of the wise men in the Christmas pageant. He suggested Michael take Donna away. Sonny told Cyrus he’d been replaced. Laura and Martin appeared. Martin was going to replace Cyrus as the wise man. Laura asked Cyrus not to make a scene. After wishing them all the joys of the holiday season, Cyrus walked away. Sonny told Laura he didn’t trust Cyrus around anyone he loved. Ava showed Nina the gun that appeared in her apartment. After Tracy left, Lois told Ned that Brook Lynn was going back to Deception so she could try to outsmart Tracy and make things right for her friends. Sam told Carly to stay away from Brennan and left to call Dante. Carly pulled up the article on Brennan, who returned to Kelly’s. Kevin reminded Lucy it was better for Brook Lynn to be in the office instead of Tracy. Ned said Brook Lynn spoke like a true Quartermaine when she revealed her scheme for tricking Tracy. Ava told Nina how she believed Nikolas (Adam Huss) was trying to frame her. Nina suggested they go to Rice Plaza for a distraction. Cyrus watched Donna and Michael. Scott (Kin Shriner) came over to Lucy and Kevin and berated Lucy for letting Tracy walk all over her. When Tracy entered, Kevin encouraged Lucy not to go over. Carly offered to make Brennan some meatloaf. He picked up her phone and saw the article. “I see you know my secret,” Brennan said. Anna and Dante worked together to avoid overpowering Hume, who wanted a deal. Sam appeared and said she knew where Brennan was. “What am I going to do with you?” Brennan asked Carly. Ava asked Laura whether she had any more information about Nikolas. Nina told Michael about Ned’s blackmail and asked for his help. Or she would tell Carly that he knew the truth about and didn’t tell her. Sonny noticed Ava was jumpy. “What are you not telling me?” Sonny asked. Donna returned and asked whether Ava and Avery could come over on Christmas Eve and open presents with them. Tracy threw a drink in Scott’s face when he made a remark about Luke (Anthony Geary). Carly hit Brennan with a tray when he tried to take her hostage. Just then, Anna and Dante burst in with their guns drawn. Michael told Nina he’d take care of Ned. Lois told Brook Lynn that she and Ned were talking about how much they loved her. Brennan is arrested but smirks to Anna she’d need luck. Anna told Dante she wouldn’t allow anyone else to get hurt because of her mistakes. After Tracy left, Laura entered and told Lucy that Martin wouldn’t make it. Donna shared her Christmas cookies. From a distance, Cyrus watched the scene.

Wednesday

Felicia (Kristina Wagner) assured Maxie (Kristen Storms) this time next year things would be looking up for her. As Dex (Evan Hofer) and Josslyn (Temporarily being played by Courtney Fulk) were about to leave her dorm room to go have Christmas with her family, Josslyn was surprised to see Adam (Joshua Bernard) and asked “Adam, what are you still doing here?” Charlotte (Scarlett Fernandez) was surprised to find Laura (Genie Francis) and Kevin (Jon Lindstrom) in the living room wrapping presents. Laura explained her father had to step out and asked them to come over while Charlotte napped. “It’s Christmas Eve..what could he possibly be doing?” Charlotte asked. Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) knocked on the door of Anna’s (Finola Hughes) hotel suite. Finn (Michael Easton) and Violet (Jophelle Love) arrived at the Webber house. Violet wasn’t her usual cheery self when she wished Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) Merry Christmas. Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) arrived at Maxie’s house drenched and said he required her help. At the Ashford house, Curtis (Donnell Turner) announced to Stella (Vernee Watson), Trina (Tabyana Ali) and Marshall (Robert Gossett) he had something to tell them. “Something life changing,” Curtis said. “I was surprised to get your phone call. Can we make this quick? I’m missing Christmas Eve with my daughter” Valentin (James Stuart Patrick) said. Anna told Valentin he owed her the truth but so did she. Charlotte showed Kevin her to make a squiggly ribbon. Violet wasn’t interested Aiden was making cookies. She asked whether she could color. Finn didn’t understand Violet’s mood. “She won’t tell me,” he said. Adam told Josslyn that he wasn’t going home for Christmas. Curtis told them about the clinical trial Portia (Brooke Kerr) found that could restore his ability to walk and how he could start as soon as January if considered. Someone rang the doorbell and Portia went to answer it. “Merry Christmas Dr. Robinson” Spencer (Nicholas Chavez) said. Anna told Valentin they now knew for certain Jameson Forsythe was responsible for setting the fire to her house. She also told him about WSB director Brennan’s involvement. She commented Charlotte was just collateral damage in the decades old vendetta against her. Spinelli thanked Maxie for the shower and Felicia for letting him borrow an old shirt of Mac’s (John J. York). He explained his apartment suffered extensive water damage due to a burst pipe. Maxie suggested he move into there until his apartment dried off. Aiden told Elizabeth there was someone he liked. While they made paper snowflakes, Jake (Hudson West) told Violet she might feel better if she talked about what was bothering her. “My daddy’s going away,” Violet told Jake. Spencer put his bag of presents under the Christmas tree. Curtis asked Portia “Are you sure you want to start this next year off at odds with the man your daughter loved?” Stella and Marshall went out on the patio. He told her about his conversation with Irene. After dancing to a Christmas song, Stella and Marshall almost kissed. Marshall apologized saying he got a little carried away. Stella said she left the stove on and beat a hasty retreat. Adam explained he lied to his parents he had an internship over the holiday because he wanted to avoid his parents and their questions about his grades. He wished them a Merry Christmas and left. Josslyn commented to Dex maybe she should invite Adam over for Christmas. Charlotte went into her bedroom to get her Christmas gifts. Laura looked at a photo of Lulu on her phone and said Lulu’s daughter was growing up and needed her but she’d find a way to get through to her. “I just wish we were doing it together,” Laura said. Charlotte looked at her scar from where she was shot and said “My first battle wound.” She went to her jewelry box and took out Helena’s (Constance Towers) necklace and put it on. “Anything for family” Charlotte said. Anna commented how she and Valentin were a great team. Spencer offered to help untangle the lights with Curtis and Portia. He commented how he hoped they could get to know eachother better in the coming year because Trina loves them and he loves her. “But what do you really know about love though?” Portia asked. Anna and Valentin almost kissed. But Anna told Valentin even though it felt easy being with him, his responsibility was to his daughter and she needed him. “Charlotte needs you…I can no longer be part of your family” Anna told Valentin. Kevin came to Charlotte’s room to find out what kind of hot chocolate she wanted. He noticed her interesting necklace. Charlotte told him it was a family heirloom. Maxie told Spinelli she couldn’t charge him rent because he was Georgie’s father. But he told her he insisted because with him and his high speed internet requirement, her utilities bill would sky rocket. Georgie came out from the other room and asked Maxie whether Spinelli could spend the night so she could open presents with her dad on Christmas morning. Charlotte admitted to Finn she overheard him and Uncle Chase (Josh Swickward) talking about Finn going to court and was afraid he was going to jail. Finn told Charlotte he had to go to court to prove he didn’t do anything wrong at work but assured he wasn’t going anywhere. Aiden told Elizabeth about liking a boy in his science class named Tobias. Spencer explained he didn’t know about love until he met Trina and hoped to someday earn their forgiveness and eventually their trust. When he returned inside and commented her mom was tough, Trina said she loved him for trying. After Georgie and Maxie left to set up the guest room, Spinelli smiled and said to Felicia “I think she bought it.”Kevin told Laura about finding Charlotte admiring her gunshot wound calling it her battle wound and also about her wearing a necklace she said Victor (Charles Shaughnessy) left to her. Trina loved the glorious earrings Spencer gave her. Portia invited Spencer to stay for their family tradition which was making an ornament for the tree. Adam returned and Josslyn invited him to her mom’s house for Christmas Eve. It was revealed Felicia and Spinelli came up with his apartment being water damaged in order to help Maxie out of her financial trouble without her feeling like it was charity. Laura commented all the years she spent worrying about Nikolas (Adam Huss) and the darkness he inherited from the Cassadines she never expected Charlotte would battle the same demons. Laura vowed she had to find a way to get through to Charlotte. Tearfully, Anna told Valentin although a part of her would always love him. Valentin added he knew if he ever had her it wouldn’t last forever. Anna cried when Valentin left.

Thursday

Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) came to his father’s penthouse and asked to speak with him in private. “This can’t wait,” Dante told Sonny. At the Davis house, TJ (Taj Bellows) and Molly (Kristen Vaganos) told Sam (Kelly Monaco), Kristina (Kate Mansi) and Alexis (Nancy Grahan) if they decided to pursue going through a surrogate to have a baby they’d have to start at the bottom of the waiting list. “What happens next depends on Kristina,” Molly said. Cody (Josh Kelly) arrived at Maxie’s (Kristen Storms) house wearing a Santa hat and carrying Christmas presents. “Willow, Don’t you feel a little silly being the only adult in antlers?” Tracy (Jane Eliott) asked. “Don’t worry Tracy, I got enough for everybody” Lois (Rena Sofer) said. “Of course you did,” Tracy said. Michael (Chad Duell) met with Ned (Wally Kurth) at the Quartermaine stables and announced he wanted a truce and had a gift in the spirit of Christmas. “What’s this?” Ned asked, seeing the envelope in Michael’s hands. “Everything you ever wanted,”Michael answered. Tracy refused to put on the antlers and suggested Lois take the A train back to Bensonhurst. Cody gave Maxie a Christmas present and had one for Mac (John J. York) and Felicia (Kristina Wagner). She told Cody that Mac was in Argentina on assignment. Maxie left the room to check on her kids. Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) entered with his suitcase. “You…what are YOU doing here!?” Spinelli demanded when he saw Cody. Michael told Ned he was giving him his ELQ voting shares. Ned told Michael he wasn’t born yesterday. “So do you want the proxy or not?” Michael asked. “What I want to know is why are you doing Nina’s dirty work?” Ned asked. Dante told Sonny about stopping a gunman. Kristina assured TJ and Molly she was still onboard regardless of how long it took. Sam found the skydiving brochure and questioned Alexis about it. Alexis said she didn’t want to go skydiving but had to. Ava (Maura West) commented to Nina (Cynthia Watros) how Danet and Sonny have been out there for a long time. “Whoever was targeting me and Anna is still out there” Sonny said when Dante told him he didn’t think Brennan was responsible for The Metro Court shooting. Lois explained to Tracy about the A train route. Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) asked Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) how long the tirade was going to go on. Tracy told Lois she found and had badgered her into submission. She put on the antlers. Just then, Uri wheeled Monica (Leslie Charleson) in. Cody apologized to Spinelli for getting off on the wrong foot when they first met. Spinelli reminded Christmas was about family. Cody said the Qs invited him to their celebration then left. “I get we don’t know each other that well but you were completely out of line” Sasha (Sofia Mattsson) told Spinelli. TJ told Kristina how Molly had a big case and he was offered a fellowship so the timing wasn’t good. Ned asked Michael what was stopping him now that he had the power to destroy Nina. They were interrupted by Willow, who reminded Michael they had to get to Sonny’s. After Willow left, Ned opened the envelope which gave him voting rights to half of Michael’s ELQ shares. Ned warned Michael not to trust Nina. After Dante left, Sonny returned to the living room where Nina blurted out “Someone left Ava a gun.” Sonny asked to speak with Ava alone. After Nina walked away, Ava told Sonny about the notes and photos of Austin’s (Roger Howarth) dead body and how someone left her the gun. Sonny told Ava to bring over the gun tomorrow so Brick (Stephen A. Smith) could trace it. Sasha reminded Spinelli how Cody saved her life. Cody told Felicia she was right, adding clarity was one of her money gifts. He went to catch up with Cody. Alexis told Sam she promised Gregory (Gregory Harrison) she’d go skydiving with him. Dante arrived and told Alexis about his skydiving experiences. Lois thanked Monica for sticking up for her. Tracy realized Olivia and Lois never hashed out that Olivia married Lois’ former husband. Michael, Willow, Wiley and Amelia arrived at Nina and Sonny’s penthouse. When Willow went to change Amelia, Michael told Nina he took care of the Ned problem. “I just hope I don’t live to regret this,” Michael said. Maxie assured Felicia that Cody was disappointed he wasn’t Mac’s son. Spinelli sought Cody out at the Quartermaine stables and offered a truce but warned him he’d face the wrath of The Jackal if he stepped out of line. Cody suggested Spinelli step away from Comet but it was too late. “I’ll get the first aid kit,” Cody said. Lois told Olivia she decided to take Monica up on her offer to stay for a while. Ava reminded Nina that she’d do the same as Michael to protect her family. Cody offered to clean Spinelli’s bite wound so it wouldn’t get infected. Before he left, Spinelli told Cody he would be watching him. Felicia told Maxie she couldn’t stop thinking about the DNA test results. Reluctantly, Alexis decided to go skydiving. Kristina asked TJ and Molly “What if I wasn’t just the surrogate…what if I were the donor too?”

Friday

“It’s the perfect solution. No waiting for an egg donor…I can do both” Kristina (Kate Mansi) told TJ (Taj Bellows) and Molly (Kristen Vaganos). When she mentioned Scout, Alexis (Nancy Grahan) noticed strange looks on Sam (Kelly Monaco) and Dante’s (Dominic Zamprogna) faces and asked whether something was wrong with her granddaughter. Finn (Michael Easton) commented to Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) reading ‘Twas The Night Before Christmas made him think about family and past Christmases. “And how this might be your dad’s last one” Elizabeth added. Esme arrived at Kevin (Jon Lindstrom) and Laura’s (Genie Francis) apartment to drop Ace off so Spencer (Nicholas Chavez) could spend Christmas Eve with his brother. “What about you…where are you going to be?” Spencer asked Esme. Trina (Tabyana Ali) thanked Portia (Brooke Kerr) for including Spencer in their family holiday celebration. Marshall (Robert Gossett) thought about the close moment he shared with Stella (Vernee Watson). “You shouldn’t be here” Jordan (Tanisha Harper) said when she saw Cyrus (Jeff Kober) at GH. Dex (Evan Hofer), Adam (Joshua Benard) and Josslyn (Temporarily being played by Courtney Fulk) arrived at her mother’s hospital to spend Christmas Eve with Carly (Laura Wright) and Donna. Carly welcomed Adam and said “Glad you could join us.” Nina (Cynthia Watros), Sonny (Maurice Benard) , Michael (Chad Duell), Willow (Katelyn MacMuellen) and Wiley arrive at the chapel. The priest commented on the beautiful family. Chase (Josh Swickward), Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton), Gregory (Gregory Harrison) and Violet (Jophelle Love) arrived at the GH for the reading of ‘Twas The Night Before Christmas. Violet reminded Chase and Brook Lynn they needed to set a date for their wedding. Sam and Dante told Alexis about Drew (Cameron Mathison) wanting Scout to go to Westwood Academy. Alexis commented how Drew had a challenging life and wanted his daughter to have a better one than he did. Kristina reminded TJ and Molly that as the donor Molly would have a biological connection to her child. Jordan told Cyrus she would never forgive him and warned one day he’d slip up and she’d be right there to send him back to prison. Willow asked Nina whether she was thinking about Nelle (Chloe Lanier). Nina commented how she couldn’t help to think if given a chance Nelle might have turned her life around. Sonny lit candles for all the people they cared about who were no longer there like Morgan, Jason and Mike. Stella dropped a tray of food. Curtis (Donnell Turner) asked Marshall whether he was picking up strange vibes from Aunt Stella who wasn’t acting like herself. Esme told Spencer she needed time to herself and thought about looking at Christmas ornaments last year when she was held captive at Wyndemere. Josslyn told Carly that Adam was afraid to go home and face his parents. Carly commented Josslyn may be enabling Adam’s fear. Gregory asked to speak with Brook Lynn alone and said there was something he wanted for Christmas that only she could give him. Gregory told Brook Lynn his Christmas was that she and Chase didn’t wait too long for the wedding because he wanted to see his son who he loved and cherished marry the love of his life. Sam told Alexis she wished Drew were there so they could talk about this. TJ told Kristina to create an embryo with her complicated things. Marshall told Curtis that he imagined that Stella was missing Irene tonight because he knew he was. Stella assured Portia she didn’t drop the tray because she was sick. Cyrus arrived at Kevin and Laura’s apartment. Donning black clothing, Esme broke into Wyndemere. Nina asked Willow and Michael to tell Sonny she’d meet him at the hospital as they left for the party at GH. Adam yelled at Josslyn when she told him she was going to use her travel fund set up by her dad to give him a Christmas present of a flight to go home to spend Christmas with his parents. Brook Lynn assured Gregory they;d make it happen for him to be there to see the wedding. Cyrus gave Laura a present to give to Ace then left. “Okay, who wants to do the honors?” Laura asked. “Not it” Spencer answered. Standing outside the room where she was held captive, Esme had more memories from that time. TJ and Molly accepted Kristina’s offer. Curtis told Marshall his mom would want her to be happy this Christmas. Laura arrived at GH. Nina asked the Father whether it was too late to make a confession. He asked her to give him a few minutes. Finn and Laura took turns reading ‘Twas The Night Before Christmas. Adam told Josslyn to stay out of it then left. Trina came to GH and greeted Ace and Spencer. Esme went out on the terret and remembered setting up the camera and met the video of Josslyn and Cameron (William Lipton) and of taking the plunge off the terret. While Sonny wondered what was keeping his wife, Nina made her confession but not to the priest but to Cyrus. “And I heard him exclaim as you drove out of sight ‘Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night’ “ Laura read and everyone clapped.
