Drew (Cameron Mathison) and Carly (Laura Wright) celebrate the New Year in bed. Thinking she would have to spend New Year’s alone, Carly said this must be a dream. But Drew’s kisses convinced her otherwise. Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) told Sam (Temporarily being played by Lindsay Hartley) that he didn’t mind that they had to spend New Year’s at home. “I’m right where I want to be,” Dante assured. “Me too,” Sam said. Then, they kissed. “Let’s make it quick and quiet and get in before we get caught” Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) told Chase (Josh Swickward) as they snuck into the Quartermaine mansion. Since neither Lois (Rena Sofer) nor Sonny (Maurice Benard) made it to the pier to watch the fireworks ring in the New Year and were still at The Savoy, Olivia frantically told Ned (Wally Kurth) and Michael (Chad Duell) “We gotta get back there now.” Nina (Cynthia Watros) thought about her wedding day then said “I have to tell Sonny.” As she started to leave her office, Nina was surprised to see Willow (Katelyn MacMuellen). “I know who really ratted out Carly and Drew to the SEC and your family knows too” Lois told Sonny. “We are going to ring in the New Year with the good stuff,” Brook Lynn told Chase, uncorking a bottle of one of Ned’s expensive bottles of champagne. She thought there was no special occasion than celebrating their first New Year’s as an engaged couple. Chase paused from responding when he received a text. Scout interrupted Sam and Dante because she had a bad dream. Drew told Carly he was a little hungry but vetoed her idea to make him something to eat because he knew how she was in the kitchen. Willow showed Nina her torn dress. “You know what, if you don’t believe me ask your son” Lois told Sonny when she turned around and saw Ned, Michael and Olivia standing there. Chase showed Brook Lynn the photos his dad sent him skydiving. “Before ALS, it would never have occurred to him to go skydiving. He really is making the most of the time he has left” Chase told Brook Lynn. Dante brought Scout some ginger ale to help her feel better. Scout told Sam and Drew about her nightmare: She dreamed the teacher at her new school was a monster and she tried but couldn’t get away. Sam assured Scout she didn’t have to go to the new school, adding the best school was one where she felt comfortable and enjoyed learning. Drew enjoyed leftovers and told Carly how he had to get out of the meetings in Australia because he lost his temper and almost blew up the deal. “That’s not like you at all,” Carly said. Michael admitted what Lois was saying was true and that he kept it from Sonny. Chase and Brook Lynn drank a toast to each other. But Chase had to leave when he received a work call and had to handle police business. Sam was determined not to force Scout to go to Westwood. Dante understood Sam’s position but asked “How do you think Drew will react?” Drew told Carly he had his limits and an extended family that knew how to play dirty and the only thing his forgiving nature got him was time in Pentonville. After Ned, Lois and Oivia left, Sonny asked Michael why he didn’t come to him when he found out the truth. Michael told Sonny he did his best to protect everyone because sometimes the truth does more damage than a lie. “How long have you known?” Sonny asked. “Since October” Michael answered. Nina let Willow wear her necklace to complete the dress she let her borrow from Crimson’s closet. Dante assured Sam that Drew would come around because he’s a reasonable guy. Carly told Drew she was concerned about him because of the hell he went through at Pentonville changed him. “And I want you to know whatever you’re carrying you don’t have to go through it alone” Carly told Drew. When Nina commented how she missed all the things they never got to do, Willow assured they’d have more moments together. Ned, Lois and Olivia returned to the Quartermaine mansion. Lois and Olivia went to talk in private. Brook Lynn told her father to tell her everything. Michael told Sonny he knew if the truth came out it would hurt him more than anyone. After Drew left the kitchen, Carly’s phone rang and the caller ID said Unknown. Sam asked Dante whether she made a big mistake by telling Scout she didn’t have to go to Westwood without talking with him first. Olivia got angry when Lois reminded her about the damage of keeping secrets. She accused her good friend Lois of throwing in her face that she kept Dante’s paternity a secret from Sonny. Michael told Sonny revealing the identity of the informant would hurt someone else he cared about. “Willow” Sonny realized. Willow thanked Nina for loaning her the new dress and offering to fix the old one. Dante told Sam she should trust her instincts. Ned explained to Brook Lynn why he let everyone believe he was the one who turned Drew and Carly into the SEC. Lois and Olivia stormed out of the room. Ned followed as Olivia rushed out of the house. “I opened my big mouth and I may have started the New Year by losing my oldest friend,” Lois told Brook Lynn. Nina and Willow entered The Savoy just in time to hear Sonny demanding Michael tell him who turned Drew and Carly into the SEC. “It was Nina,” Michael confessed. A shell shocked Carly told Drew the embassy in Amsterdam called. “My mom’s dead,” Carly said.

Wednesday

At Cafe Cherie, Lucy (Lynn Herring) joined Scott (Kin Shriner) at the bar and asked “Well, have you swept Tracy off her feet yet?” Scott assured he had Tracy right where he wanted her. Kevin (Jon Lindstrom), Laura (Genie Francis) and Martin (Kin Shriner) were also there. Martin assured he was fine with Lucy being with Scott because she was understanding of the situation with him and the alimony to his ex wives, especially number three. Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) commented about Tracy’s cell phone blowing up then picked up her grandmother’s cell phone. “Scott Baldwin…what business do you have with that guy?” Nina (Cynthia Watros) and Willow (Katelyn MacMuellen) entered The Savoy in time to hear Sonny (Maurice Benard) ask “Who is it Michael…who turned your mom into the SEC?” “It was Nina,” Michael replied. Sonny demanded to know of Nina “You’re the one who ratted out Carly and Drew to the SEC?” Carly (Laura Wright) looked at a photo of her and Bobbie (Jackie Zeman) from Carly’s wedding day. Carly remembered when she told Bobbie she was going to take the Spencer name. “How you holding up?” Drew (Cameron Mathison) asked. “I can’t believe she’s gone…I can’t believe I’m never going to see my mom again,” Carly answered. Brook Lynn was amused that Scott was texting her grandmother a lot and told Tracy “Scott’s flirting with you.” Lucy reminded Scott he had to be subtle in his wooing of Tracy. “That body coming home to us. That’s not my mom anymore is it” Carly said. Willow couldn’t believe what Nina did. And Sonny wanted to know why “Do you hate the mother of my children so much that you’d want to send her to prison out of spite?” Sonny angrily asked. Willow was angry Michael has known for months and didn’t say anything. She stormed out of The Savoy with Michael falling. Nina wanted to go too but Sonny asked whether she thought she’d done enough. Drew told Carly her mother was no longer in her body. Carly blamed herself thinking if she’d done something differently her mom might still be here. Brook Lynn told Chase (Josh Swickward) that Tracy was flirting with Scott Baldwin. While Ava (Maura West) was alone in the store room of the gallery, someone put their hand over her mouth. It was Nikolas (Adam Huss) who told her if she screamed no one would hear her. Chase grabbed Tracy’s cell phone and said Scott was definitely flirting with her. Brook Lynn suggested Tracy get out of there and start having some fun. Lucy reminded Scott he shouldn’t act desperate. Laura suggested they take a selfie to post on her social media page. After Martin left, Laura received a call from Lucas. Lucy and Scott came over to Kevin and Laura’s table when they saw the devastated look on her face. Laura told them both died. Nina told Sonny how anyone could have reported Drew and Carly. Sonny didn’t believe Nina when she said she was on her way there to tell him everything. Michael caught up to Willow on the pier. “You should have told me the truth right from the start,” Willow said. “Like you told me the truth about your cancer diagnosis” Michael replied. Sonny told Nina he couldn’t look at her and demanded she “Stop saying you’re sorry.” He said he wasn’t the one who needed to hear it. Carly told Drew she would have never gotten off the call if she knew it was the last time she’d speak with her mother. “I would have stayed on that phone forever” Carly cried. Lucy and Laura recalled special times with Bobbie. “Luke or no Luke…we were sisters,” Laura said. Nikolas assured Ava he didn’t kill Austin. Ava said shockingly she actually believed him. Nikolas told Ava he was sorry he caused her a lot of hurt and pain and regretted it. Ava told Nikolas although they loved each other they were always headed for heartbreak. She said their love was a sick and toxic one that never stood a chance. Brook Lynn downloaded Instagram onto her grandmother’s phone and followed Laura and Alexis (Nancy Grahan). Before leaving, Brook Lynn told her grandmother they should use the time they had left to live a little. Scott lamented that he and Bobbie never could make a relationship work. “Maybe it was a love that wasn’t meant to last.” Lucy said Bobbie was his forever friend…Kevin and Laura agreed. Carly told Drew how Bobbue loved unconditionally and taught her how to be a good person, a good mom and to love and be loved. Drew commented that he owed Bobbie. Sonny told Nina to go apologize to Carly. Nina vowed “This isn’t the end of us Sonny…I won’t let it be.” Sonny went to the chapel. “There’s another reason you kept Nina’s secret, isn’t there?” Willow asked Michael. “Ryan Chamberlain got what he deserved. What if we made sure Esme gets hers too?” Nikolas asked Ava. Tracy said Lucy and Scott in the background of Laura’s social media post. Drew told Carly he was going to go call the embassy about bringing Bobbie home. There was a knock on the door. Carly was surprised when she opened it and found Nina on the other side.

Thursday

At GH, Portia (Brooke Kerr) told Nurse Rachel that working on New Year’s Eve wouldn’t be a bad omen for her “I’ve got pick plans for 2024.” A drunken Adam (Joshua Benard) was surprised to see Dex (Evan Hofer) and Josslyn (Temporarily being played by Courtney Fulk) and asked “What are you doing in my room?” Laura (Genie Francis) received a phone call from Ace’s babysitter because Esme (Avery Kristen Pohl) was an hour late. “Where could she be?” Laura wondered. “Nikolas, what are you planning to do to Esme?” Ava (Maura West) asked. “Actually it’s what are we planning to do together,” Nikolas (Adam Huss) answered. When Esme entered Cafe Cherie, Laura asked “Esme, where were you?” Michael (Chad Duell) admitted to Willow (Katelyn MacMuellen) that he was blackmailing Nina (Cynthia Watros) by demanding she limit the time she spent with Willow and the kids in exchange for keeping quiet about the SEC. Carly (Laura Wright) was surprised when Nina showed up at her house. “There’s something that I need to tell you both” Nina told Drew (Cameron Mathison) and Carly. “I’m glad you found yourself here in the hour of your greatest need. Give up your burden to God Sonny…the truth will set you free” Cyrus said when he entered the chapel and saw Sonny (Maurice Benard). Portia found Curtis (Donnell Turner) waiting for her in her office with a single red rose. He told her he was ringing in the New Year with the woman he loved. Adam told Dex and Josslyn he had a few vodka shots because his parents knew the truth about him and it was all over. Nikolas told Ava if they worked together they could get rid of Esme before she did any more damage. “Level with me Nikolas, are you planning to kill Esme?” “Tonight is not the night to be pushing me!!” Sonny shouted at Cyrus. “I’m sure Nina only did what she thought she was right when she reported Carly and Drew to the SEC” Cyrus said. When Drew left the room to call the embassy, Nina finally confessed to Carly that she was the one who tipped off the SEC about her and Drew’s insider trading. When Esme dropped her glove and commented to Kevin (Jon Lindstrom) she already lost the other one, Laura said Esme lost it at Wyndemere when she broke in on Christmas Eve. Willow angrily asked Michael if he was so worried about Nina’s influence on her and the kids, why did he tell her the truth. Carly asked Nina why she decided to come clean tonight. Nina said the guilt was eating her up and she didn’t know how to fix it. Carly realized Nina came clean because she got busted. Nina admitted Sony knew. Cyrus explained he offered Nina his counsel when she sought advice on Christmas Eve. Sonny punched Cyrus and continued hitting him while demanding Cyrus fight him back. “You are nothing but a selfish bitch and I hope you rot in Hell!” Carly shouted at Nina. Portia thanked Cyrus for the New Year’s late night donuts. Curtis commented what if the surgery didn’t work and he couldn’t walk. Nikolas asked Ava if the reason why she didn’t want to help him was because she was afraid if they spent too much time together she might not be able to resist him. Esme confessed she broke into Wyndemere to see whether she’d remember being held there during Christmas. “Did it work…did you remember anything?” Laura asked Esme. Adam told Dex and Josslyn that his parents found out he lied about having an internship over Christmas. Adam told Dex and Josslyn his parents were threatening to pull him out of PCU and send him to a local college as they didn’t want to waste their money if he wasn’t a top performer. Willow asked Michael what kind of marriage they had if they couldn’t be honest with each other. Drew came back into the room just in time to hear Carly say to Nina she meant for her and Drew to suffer. “Suffer how?” Drew asked. Sonny returned to his penthouse and took a bottle of whiskey out of a paper bag. Drew called Nina vile and a hypocrite and said her grandchildren would learn what she did. Carly cried she couldn’t handle this tonight and didn’t want Nina’s sympathy when she said her mother died. Carly ordered Nina out of her house. Then cried in Drew’s arms about how could she live in a world when Nina got to exist and her mom was gone. Nikolas told Ava all she had to do was throw a party. Laura told Esme she understood and added “But you broke the law Esme. You’re going to have to turn yourself in.” Josslyn had to leave when Drew called and said her mother had something to tell her. Dex offered to stay with Adam. Willow told Michael she wanted him to sleep somewhere else tonight. She urged him to take the call from Drew because there was nothing more to say tonight. Portia assured Curtis she loved him and would still love him whether he could walk or not. Laura told Esme she’d probably just get a fine and community service and said she would go down with her to the PCPD tomorrow morning. Laura answered a call from Curtis, who said “You need to get down to the hospital. It’s about your brother.” Dex told Adam things got better for him once he got out of his parents house. When Michael and Josslyn arrived, Carly sadly told them their grandmother passed away. Ava returned to the pentonville and asked “Sonny, what are you doing in the dark. Where is Nina?” “Gone” Sonny answered. Adam thanked Dex. Carly told Michael and Josslyn how their grandmother passed away peacefully in her sleep. “She was our rock…what are we going to do without her?” Josslyn asked. “I don’t know but we’re going to get through this together.” Kevin and Laura arrived at GH where Curtis told them the priest found Cyrus at All Saints Chapel. Nikolas watched as Esme left Cafe Cherie. Laura asked Portia who did this to Cyrus. Ava told Sonny to get his hand cleaned up because Avery (Ava and Grace Scarola) couldn’t see him like this.” When Nina came to the door, Ava told her she didn’t think she should be here because Sonny was in a bad way. Nina told Ava she just came from telling Carly and Drew everything and needed to talk with Sonny. When he saw her, Sonny slammed the door in Nina’s face.

Friday

Maxie (Temporarily being played by Nicole Paggi) spoke with Felicia (Kristina Wagner) on the phone offering her support. They talked about how much Bobbie (Jackie Zeman) meant to both of them. After she hung up, Felicia was comforted by Anna (Finola Hughes). Seeing the look on Maxie’s face when he entered her office, Cody (Josh Kelly) asked “What’s wrong?” Drew (Cameron Mathison) came to the penthouse and suggested Sam (Kelly Monaco) not only give Carly (Laura Wright) a call about Bobbie (Jackie Zeman) but about some other news that came out that he didn’t want to get into right now. Sam told Drew he couldn’t take Scout to pick up her new uniform because “Scout won’t be going to Westwood Academy.” Nina (Cynthia Watros) left another voicemail for Willow (Katelyn MacMuellen) begging her to let her explain. Nina thanked Sasha (Sofia Mattsson) for putting her up because she really didn’t want to be alone. Sasha assured Nina would find the right words to explain to Willow. At GH, Laura (Genie Francis) asked Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) whether he knew who attacked her brother. Lois (Rena Sofer) came to the penthouse to see Sonny (Maurice Benard). She asked whether the cleaning crew had been there because there was no sign of disarray or shattered glass. She noticed the packed luggage. “So what you takin’ this act of yours on the road?” Lois asked. “I’m not going anywhere…Nina is” Sonny answered. Anna told Felicia that Bobbie wouldn’t want her to do this alone. Maxie told Cody about Bobbie’s passing and how she got B.J.’s heart. “I can’t imagine Port Charles without Bobbie Spencer.” Sam told Drew that Scout has been in knots about going to Westwood. Drew was angry that Sam told Scout she didn’t have to go to Westwood Academy without speaking with him first. Dante told Laura they didn’t have a suspect in Cyrus’ (Jeff Kober) beating. Cyrus woke up. Laura went to get his doctor while Dante questioned him about who assaulted him. “Try me. Give me a name and I’ll haul them down to the police station by the end of the day.” Lois apologized for blowing up Sonny’s life but said she felt he deserved the truth. When he made a comment that Nina owned a hotel and could stay there for now, Lois asked “Does that mean you’re not done with her for good?” Anna and Felicia entered Bobbie’s office. They looked at all the photos. “These photos… they really tell a story of a life well lived” Anna said. Drew was antagonistic, accusing Sam of thinking she had the final word in decisions about their daughter. Since Cyrus was incorporative, Dante reasoned he may tell the truth to his sister. “Who cares what people think…you still have friends” Sasha told Nina. Sonny told Lois he wouldn’t forget that Nina lied to him for months and betrayed him. “I was beaten by your friend Sonny Corninthos” Cyrus told Laura. Cyrus told Laura how Sonny was betrayed by his spouse and he was in the wrong place at the wrong time. Sasha urged Nina to give others the chance to forgive her. “What I want may be different from what I deserve,” Nina told Sasha. Sonny told Lois that Nina crossed too many lines. Lois asked Sonny whether he could ever trust Sonny again. Cody told Maxie he wanted to buy Serenity, the property he grew up on to bring everything full circle. “I just realized that I’ll never get to laugh with her again” Felicia cried and Anna comforted her. Felicia told Anna the way to honor those they love was to embrace the living. Felicia got a call that the DNA test results were ready. Laura told Dante what Cyrus told her about Sonny. Sam reminded Drew they needed to be on the same page when they made a major decision about their daughter. Drew told Sam he lost even more time with Scout because of Nina. Nina told Sasha that Kristina (Kate Mansi) will no longer support her relationship with Sonny. Sasha told Nina she accepted what she’s done, owned up to it and now she had to ask herself what she could do to fix it. Sam realized it was their first major difference of opinion in raising their daughter. Dante arrived at Sonny’s penthouse and told Lois his father wouldn’t be happy to see him. Felicia arrived at Maxie’s office and told Cody he had a purpose. Felicia told Cody she ran a new DNA test on him this year behind his back. Before he left, Sam told Drew she was there if he ever needed to talk. Laura told Cyrus it was clear to her that he was holding something back. Cyrus told Laura that Sonny Cornithos was no better than the man he used to be. Laura told Cyrus he had to prove to her with his actions he was worthy of her trust. Sasha told Nina she and Willow shared the virtue of forgiveness. “I pray that you’re right that my daughter will forgive me especially since my husband never will” Nina told Sasha. Dante said he was sorry about Nina and apologized in advance as an officer entered the penthouse and arrested Sonny for the second degree assault of Cyrus Renault.
