A weekly column highlighting the Port Charles happenings during the past week on General Hospital. Read below to find out what you missed or to refresh your memory in time for next week.

Monday

Drew (Cameron Mathison) introduced Nina (Cynthia Watros) to Crimson’s new Editor In Chief…Carly (Laura Wright). “Well played” Nina clapped. Lucy (Lynn Herring) spoke with Scott (Kin Shriner) on the phone wanting an update on their plan to get Tracy (Jane Eliott). As she left the office, Martin (Michael E. Knight) appeared. At The Metro Court, Chase (Josh Swickward) and Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) met with Gregory (Gregory Harrison) to discuss the part he was going to play in their wedding. At GH, Laura (Genie Francis) told Spencer (Nicholas Chavez) he was going to tell the PCPD everything he knew about Ace’s kidnapping. Esme (Avery Kristen Pohl) came to see Heather (Alley Mills) at Pentonville and told her she warned her but she didn’t listen. “Now the worst has happened,” Esme told Heather. “Tell your mother everything,” Heather said. Chase asked Gregory to officiate their wedding. Scott told Tracy he believed in justice and came to tell her “Lucy has it in for you.” Martin gave Lucy two all day passes to The Metro Court Spa. She asked to take a raincheck. Martin offered to accompany Lucy to The Metro Court dining room. Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) came to question Laura about Ace’s kidnapping. Spencer told Dante his father was back and “I let him take Ace.” Heather was furious Nikolas (Adam Huss) kidnapped Ace. Esme told Heather how she went to Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) for help but he was no help so she came to her for ideas about what her next steps should be. Heather urged Esme to run. Nina asked Carly whether they were even now that she’s humbled her. Brook Lynn sensed a but when Gregory hesitated. Dante told Laura and Spencer with no legal agreement it wasn’t considered kidnapping. Esme refused to leave Port Charles without her son. “What about Ace…am I supposed to abandon my child like you abandoned me?” Esme asked Heather. “We have two things in common Carly: We’ll do anything for our family and we both know how to settle a score” Nina said, adding “Now the fun is over and you actually have to run a magazine…good luck.” After Nina left, Drew noticed the worried look on Carly’s face. Spencer told Dante that Esme got her memory back so Dante should be arresting her instead of his father. Heather told Esme she needed to lay low and regroup and someday she’d bust out of Pentonville and join her and they’d find Ace together. Heather told Esme they didn’t have the resources right now to track down Nikolas. Scott told Tracy he came to warn her because he’s seen Lucy’s wrath and wouldn’t want to be on the receiving end of it. Gregory declined Chase and Brook Lynn’s offer to officiate at their wedding. Martin told Lucy he was beginning to wonder if her feelings for him had changed. Gregory told Brook Lynn and Chase that he couldn’t promise he’d be at his best to do anything more than to witness their wedding. Carly told Drew she would stay on at Crimson temporarily but he’d have to find someone soon to take over as Editor In Chief. Drew asked why it couldn’t be temporary…what if she loved the job and wanted to do it forever. Nina ran into Olivia (Lisa LoCierco) in the ladies room. Instead of arresting Esme, Dante said “Maybe I should be arresting you Spencer.” Laura tried to run interference to keep her grandson from being arrested especially after Spencer reminded Dante of how torn he’s always been following the letter of the law when it came to Sonny. Dante told Spencer he didn’t have to worry…he wouldn’t be arresting him but gave him the advice about protecting family members who didn’t follow the law. Dante said he had to go get Esme’s statement. “It’s time to bring Esme in,” Dante said. Esme vowed to make Ava (Maura West), Trina (Tabyana Ali), Spencer and Nikolas pay. Heather vowed they would find Ace. “Without my son…I have nothing” Esme said. Heather assured Esme she’d get everything she wanted. Drew told Carly taking the job would be so much more than sticking it to Nina. They could get rid of everything that wasn’t working and make it their own. Carly asked about her life at Bobbie’s. Nina told Olivia how Drew fired her at Crimson. Olivia told Nina she didn’t say anything when she learned the truth to keep the peace. Scott told Tracy he’d like to be her friend. Martin told Lucy how he let someone get inside his head which made him question her feelings. After remembering Tracy saying Scott was the one person who knew Lucy Coe, Martin announced he suddenly lost his appetite. Brook Lynn told Gregory no way their wedding day would be perfect unless he married them. Dante urged Spencer to call the police if he saw his father again “For both your sakes.” Then, Dante left. Laura told Spencer if he was right and Esme had reverted back to her old ways they shouldn’t underestimate her. After thanking Heather, Esme said she was out of time. Heather shouted “Esme, don’t do it!” as her daughter left. Gregory agreed to officiate the wedding but wanted a backup officiant. Martin demanded Lucy tell him what was going on between her and Scott. Drew told Carly that she as Editor In Chief of Crimson could be so meaningful. Carly commented how her mother did double duty at GH and the diner. Drew told Carly he’d support her in whatever decision she made. “The more I think about it, I know you’d be amazing,” Drew said. “We would be amazing. Let’s do it” Carly said, “Let’s be partners personally and professionally.” Olivia urged Nina to move on gracefully for everyone’s sake. “You’re probably right,” Nina said. But after Olivia left, Nina looked into the mirror and said “But if Carly and Drew want a war, they’ve got one.” Carly threw Nina’s Editor In Chief name plate into the trash. With a smile, Carly said “Under new management.”

Tuesday

Chase (Josh Swickward) and Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) were at the Ax Bar. Brook Lynn told Chase she was visualizing Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) as she took a shot at the target. At GH, Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) told Finn (Michael Easton) he should follow his instincts and go to a meeting. “Honestly, what is so captivating about Scott Baldwin?” Martin (Michael E. Knight) asked because Lucy kept looking over in Baldwin’s direction. Portia (Brooke Kerr), Stella (Vernee Watson) and Trina (Tabyana Ali) nervously awaited whether the surgery was successful. Meanwhile, Curtis (Donnell Turner) and Marshall (Robert Gossett) talked about the surgery. Anna (Finola Hughes) came to GH to ask TJ (Taj Bellows) whether he’d heard from his mother because Jordan (Tanisha Harper) was supposed to meet her for drinks and never showed up. TJ asked “Anna, do you think my mother’s in danger?” They talked about Jordan investigating the lead regarding Curtis’ shooting. Jordan stepped off the elevator. TJ noticed she was wearing the same clothes she wore last night and asked where she’d been. Finn introduced himself at the addict meeting. Curtis told Marshall how it would gut him to see the looks of disappointment in Portia, Trina and Stella’s eyes if the surgery didn’t work. When Stella walked away, Portia and Trina talked about Trina’s trip to Paris. Trina walked away when she noticed Spencer (Nicholas Chavez) was calling. Elizabeth approached Portia and offered a shoulder to cry on. Lucy went to the ladies room but Martin soon followed. “You and Scott Baldwin…I want the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth” Martin demanded. Chase questioned what changed how she was co-existing with Lucy for years. Lucy had a slip of the tongue and said she loved Martin instead of love him. Martin stormed out. “That went well,” Lucy said. Scott asked Gregory (Gregory Harrison) to keep Tracy company saying he had to go to the boy’s room. Gregory experienced heartburn and left. Elizabeth asked Portia how Curtis was. Portia answered they were all walking the fine line of positive and hopeful but not too hopeful. Portia told Elizabeth about her dream of dancing with Curtis at the rehearsal dinner and they were dancing. But when she wakes up and sees Curtis laying next to her, she realizes they’ll never dance again. “Not like that. But maybe we can. I just can’t stop myself from hoping” Portia told Elizabeth. Jordan assured TJ she was fine. When he left to check on Curtis, Jordan told Anna she never made it far when she was following the lead. She told Anna how she got stopped by two men. Jordan told Anna how the men wanted her to back off. Marshall questioned Stella about what they both felt on Christmas Eve. Stella told Marshall it was something that could never be. Curtis asked Portia to get the family together. Lucy left a long voicemail message for Martin. She thought about when she told him she wanted him to be by her side as she lived her life. Someone handed her a tissue when she cried. Lucy saw it was Scott. Tracy found Gregory in The Metro Court lobby. He said he couldn’t move. Brook Lynn told Chase what Lucy said to Tracy about her not having love. She told Chase that Lucy’s remarks were a con so Scott Baldwin could romance Tracy to get her to marry him so she’d have to sign over her Deception shares to pay him off. Tracy wanted to call an ambulance for Gregory. But Gregory didn’t want that because he was afraid once he was admitted to the hospital he’d be unable to get out. Tracy helped Gregory sit down. He said he had to stay strong, at least until the wedding. Finn talked about how besides being a father, being a doctor was what defined him most. Finn was proud of himself for how hard he’s worked on his recovery. Curtis told his family no more fake smiles…it was okay to be scared. He wanted them to agree to accept whatever happened today. “I’ve never been prouder of anyone in my life” Trina said. TJ entered the room and told them Dr. Martel was on his way and then the examination would begin. Jordan told Anna how someone knocked on the door that she couldn’t see who put the fear of God in those agents. Jordan told Anna how she was advised to stick to her desk at city hall, which she had no intention of doing. Dr. Martel arrived and Curtis said he was ready. Finn told Elizabeth he was grateful for her. Lucy told Scott that Martin could see him there. She reminded Scott he had a job to finish. Gregory’s energy was better due to Tracy’s attempt to rile him up. Chase visualized their landlord who had fixed their radiator. Tracy contacted Uri to pick Gregory up. Lucy and Scott returned to the dining room to find Tracy gone. Lucy ordered two dozen beautiful white roses for Tracy from Scott and used his credit card to pay for them. Finn thanked Elizabeth for not allowing him to talk himself out of going to that meeting. Elizabeth vowed they were going to prove how he helped his patients. She told Finn he was stuck with him. Anna offered Jordan backup as she took on the Feds. “Well if you’re offering up yours, I’d be a fool to say no” Jordan told Anna. “You’d do the same for me,” Anna said. “In a heartbeat” Jordan said. At first, Curtis didn’t feel the pin prick of his foot. But didn’t feel it on the other foot. Although it was no guarantee he’d walk again, it was a start.

Wednesday

Esme (Avery Kristen Pohl) attempted to use Alexis’ (Nancy Grahan) corporate credit card to book a flight out of Port Charles. She was startled when Kevin (Jon Lindstrom) walked into The Invader office. Trina (Tabyana Ali) thanked Curtis (Donnell Turner) for arranging a going away party. She told Curtis she felt better that the procedure worked and there was a possibility he could be walking again by the time she got back. Spencer (Nicholas Chavez) arrived for the party and told Trina his grandmother and Kevin were on their way. Molly (Kristen Vaganos) arrived at her sister’s apartment with some organic food for Kristina (Kate Mansi). Molly told Kristina she could show her how to organize her fridge. Cody (Josh Kelly) arrived at Maxie’s (Kristen Storms) house. Heather (Alley Mills) thanked Laura (Genie Francis) for coming to see her at Pentonville. Laura told Heather the only reason she was there because she claimed to have information about Ace. Heather told Laura she knew Nikolas (Adam Huss) took off with Ace because Esme told her when she came to visit her. Cody gave James the new boots he brought for him because the ones Nina (Cynthia Watros) brought him for Christmas pinched his toes. Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) told Cody he should have asked Maxie first. Kevin told Esme he wanted to check on her to see whether she was okay, reminding she was his niece afterall. He asked why she didn’t tell the police Nikolas took Ace. When Kristina made a comment about eating healthy until her niece or nephew arrived, Molly asked whether she was already pregnant. Portia (Brooke Kerr) and Ava (Maura West) agreed to lean on each other for support while Trina was away. Stella (Vernee Watson) and Marshall asked Spencer about his living arrangements in Paris and what he’d be doing while Trina was studying. Trina pulled Spencer away from the interrogation and they went to talk to Josslyn (Temporarily being played by Courtney Fulk). Laura questioned Heather about Esme’s visit. Laura questioned Heather about why Esme would visit her, especially since Laura and Esme have become close since she gave birth to Ace. “That’s before she remembered all the horrible things you did to her,” Heather said. Kristina told Molly she only meant she would eat healthy when she became pregnant and after the baby was born. Cody said he’d exchange the boots when they didn’t fit. Spencer told Trina and Josslyn he was pretty sure Esme had her memory back. Portia commented to Stella it would be better if Trina went to Paris alone. Heather told Laura that Esme got her memories back on Christmas Eve. Heather said if Laura went to the PCPD they would put Esme there in Pentonville where she belonged with her mother. Curtis told Marshall being given a glimmer of hope and finding out her can’t walk would be the same as when he first learned he couldn’t walk. James offered to give Maxie the money to help pay the bills if Cody exchanged the boots for cash. Spinelli expressed his concern for James getting close to Cody for him to exit his life like Peter August (Wes Ramsey) and Austin (Roger Howarth) did. Molly suggested Kristina take a pregnancy test. Spencer told Trina and Josslyn that Esme got her memory back. Josslyn offered to get the proof while Trina and Spencer were in Paris. Spencer urged Josslyn to be careful because they didn’t know what Esme was planning. Kevin told Esme not to underestimate the lengths Laura will go for her family. Heather told Laura she could protect Esme if she were in Pentonville as she knew Esme wanted revenge against Trina and Spencer. Kristina smiled when she received a text from Blaze (Jacqueline Grace Lopez). Felicia (Kristina Wagner) told James worrying about money was a grownup problem. Cody told Spinelli he liked Maxie like family and Spinelli could date her if he wanted. “Please Laura, for the sake of our shared grandchild…will you help me?” Heather asked. Heather asked. Trina told Ava she wouldn’t have gotten into the Sorbonne without the support and encouragement she gave her. Spencer thanked Portia for including him in the party. “I don’t doubt your feelings for Trina. It’s just you’re no stranger to trouble and I don’t want trouble following you. Here or in Paris” Portia told Spencer. Kevin told Esme she could change her life by letting people in. Maxie felt like a bad mother because her child knew she was worried about money. Kristina decided to take the pregnancy test telling Molly the sooner they knew they could plan things out. “Let’s find out if I’m pregnant.” Spinelli watched as Cody played a game with James and Felicia commented “Cody’s really good with James.” Kristina announced the test revealed she’s pregnant. Heather begged Laura to find Esme and stop her before she did something horrible. Esme hit Kevin over the head with a sculpture. “Uncle Kevin, I’m not falling for that. You can save your pity for Spencer and Trina,” Esme said to an unconscious Kevin. Curtis proposed a toast to Trina and Spencer. “I’m very excited to put the past behind us. And I’m really, really, really looking forward to our future” Spencer told Trina.

Thursday

Robert (Tristan Rogers) planned a romantic evening with Diane (Carolyn Henessy) at The Savoy and frowned when she entered with Alexis (Nancy Grahan) and Sonny (Maurice Benard). At GH, Finn (Michael Easton) expressed his worry to Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) he might not be able to practice medicine. Jordan (Tanisha Harper) thanked Brick (Stephen A. Smith) for coming to her apartment. TJ (Taj Bellows) arrived at Kristina’s apartment. Molly (Kristen Vaganos) told him that Kristina (Kate Mansi) was pregnant. TJ was over the moon with joy. Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) told Chase (Josh Swickward) he had to find Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) and bring her in. “You’re going to have to do more than that if we’re going to keep Port Charles safe” Laura said when she entered the PCPD. She told Dante and Chase what Heather Webber (Alley Mills) told her about Esme. Jordan told Brick she needed someone with his tech skill set. Diane told Robert she just ran into Alexis and Sonny on the way in. Diane and Robert hoped their date would go better than their last. Robert asked her to dance. But Diane didn’t want a dance partner, she wanted an apology. Alexis and Sonny got caught up. Sonny told Alexis he spoke with Kristina. Alexis told Sonny it was killing her having to take a step back. TJ thanked Kristina for what she was doing for them. TJ and Molly talked about all the things they wanted to do with their baby. Until TJ remembered they got excited like this before. Elizabeth assured Finn he would show the jury how much he cared about his patience. Martin (Michael E. Knight) interrupted and apologized for his late arrival. “So…why did you need to see me?” Martin asked. Kristina told TJ and Molly they’d handle anything that happened because they were in this together. Alexis and Sonny received calls from Molly and Kristina. Brick questioned putting his neck on the line without knowing the facts. Jordan told him she had to keep the circle of trust small and promised she’d owe him a favor as Deputy Mayor if he did this for her. Laura offered to come with Dante and Chase when they went to pick up Esme. Finn told Martin how Dennis Muldoon went to see a doctor in Beecher’s Corners before he came to him. Diane reminded Robert he crossed a line with his remarks about Sonny during their last date. Robert told Diane talking about taking down a defendant had nothing to do with her. Alexis, Sonny and Jordan arrived at Kristina’s apartment. Molly told them the procedure worked and Kristina was pregnant. Finn told Martin about the conversation with Dr. Sawyer. Diane told Robert it was obvious he had a personal vendetta against Sonny. Diane told Robert her problem was that she gloated. Kristina asked Alexis how she really felt. Dante, Chase and Laura found an unconscious Kevin in Alexis’ office. Martin told Finn he’d obtain the services of a PI to help find the mysterious oncologist. Alexis assured Kristina she was on her side and Molly. She received a message and had to leave. Robert asked Diane for an honest answer then asked “Is Sonny Cornithos your client or is he your friend?” “Sonny Cornithos is one of my best friends. Does that change the way you look at me?” Diane answered his question with one of her own. Chase questioned Alexis about Esme showing up for work. Martin told Finn there was a possibility Diane would bring up his past drug use. He told Finn he had to show the jury the man he knew he could be. Diane told Robert there was more to Sonny than meets the eye. Sonny and Jordan made a toast to Kristina’s pregnancy. Laura visited Kevin and promised she helped bring Esme to justice. Chase called Dante and told him they found a letter from a woman named Maggie who asked Esme to visit her in Toronto. After Martin left, Elizabeth asked Finn to come to her place because her boys weren’t there. Diane and Robert agreed to leave Sonny and the clients in the courtroom. Sonny told Kristina she could always come to her dad for anything she needed. “Do you really think Esme attacked Kevin?” Alexis asked Chase. “She’s our primary suspect and I’ve got a bad feeling she’s not going to stop with Kevin” Chase answered. Laura left Spencer (Nicholas Chavez) a voicemail and said it was about Esme. Then, she went to talk with Dante, who told her Esme used her credit card to get a one-way bus ticket to Toronto. “Any idea who she knows up there?” Laura

Friday

PARIS, FRANCE. “I thought nothing could get better than our hotel room in New York” Trina (Tabayna Ali) said, thanking Spencer (Nicholas Chavez). Laura (Genie Francis) asked Anna (Finola Hughes) to come back to the PCPD. Nina (Cynthia Watros) was at Charlie’s and declined a call from Ava (Maura West). Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) entered Charlie’s. Sonny (Maurice Benard) told Ava that Brick (Stephen A. Smith) was on his way with an update. At the courthouse, Sam (Kelly Monaco) told Finn (Michael Easton) and Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) she had information. Brick told Ava and Sonny the gun Ava had was also stolen from the bureau. Sonny told Ava it meant the gun was connected to the one used to shoot at him at The Metro Court Pool. Sam was able to access Mr. Muldoon’s Easy Pass and discovered he entered the medical pavilion before he went to see Finn. Spencer said he was going to give Trina French lessons. Trina and Spencer began kissing and undressing. Chase told Jordan he’d go with Dante to Toronto. Anna was uncertain about accepting Laura’s offer to become the new police commissioner. Laura told Anna next to Jordan she was the most qualified. When Portia (Brooke Kerr) came out, Laura asked whether she’d heard anything about Kevin. The Honorable Judge Arnold took the bench and the malpractice trial began. Portia told Laura she spoke with Kevin’s doctors and they were cautiously optimistic Kevin would make a full recovery. A bell boy walked in on Trina and Spencer. Diane (Carolyn Henessy) gave her opening statement telling the jury that they had to hold Dr. Finn accountable for his mistake. Martin (Michael E. Knight) told the jury in his opening argument that this was a case of personal negligence. Ava left the room to get Brick information on the shell company expressing an interest in buying Wyndemere. Brick asked Sonny whether security included Nina. “So what’s the plan for taking back everything that’s yours?” Valentin asked Nina. Trina and Spencer both brought their turtledoves to Paris. Spencer saw his grandmother left him a voicemail. Sonny told Brick that Nina was a potential target because she was his wife legally. Brick promised to keep an eye on her and left after Ava gave him a copy she made of the information. Ava suggested to Sonny they get out of there. Valentin asked how much it would cost to create a rival magazine and poach any qualified magazine staffer. Mrs. Muldoon took the stand. Martin’s only question was whether she was there when her husband saw Dr. Finn. Diane then called Finn to the stand. And since she wasn’t, the only information she had was what her husband told her. Laura told Spencer and Trina they were safer where they were. Spencer promised Portia he’d keep Trina safe. Valentin told Nina helping her was good business. Ava and Sonny walked into Charlie’s as Nina and Valentin were making a toast. Brick told Jordan the call she got came from a burner phone not far from Pentonville. Diane questioned Finn about not detecting Mr. Muldoon’s cancer. She then asked why he’d been suspended from GH six years ago. Finn was argumentative when Diane questioned him about whether a doctor at the top of his game could have detected Mr. Muldoon’s cancer. Finn stepped down from the stand. Martin told Finn he didn’t do himself any favors with that tit for tat with Diane. Judge Arnold called for a recess. Sam entered with information that the Muldoons were heavily in debt after losing money investing in Aurora when the stocks tanked eighteen months ago. Laura felt guilty for not seeing the truth about Esme. Trina found a flight back to New York for Spencer. She said although she appreciated him coming with her but his family needed him. Martin thanked Sam for the good work. Elizabeth and Finn realized Muldoon came to him on purpose and the whole malpractice suit was part of his plan. “Muldoon set me up,” Finn said. Portia told Laura that she never believed Esme had changed because she never took full responsibility for her actions. Dante and Chase arrived in Toronto at Maggie’s apartment. Valentin told Nina he was on her side no matter what. Sonny suggested Ava spend some time on the island. Ava asked whether Sonny was trying to get as far away from Nina as possible. “The person who called you is John Brennan,” Anna told Jordan.
