Monday

Kevin (Jon Lindstrom) assured Laura (Genie Francis) she’d give Ace the stability he needed. Martin (Michael E. Knight) arrived and told Laura he had paperwork that involved her grandson. At The Metro Court dining room, Gregory (Gregory Harrison) told Tracy (Jane Eliott) he was moving in with Finn (Michael Easton). “That’s all the dough you’re getting out of me,” Lucy said, throwing pastry at Tracy. Trina (Tabyana Ali) came to The Metro Court and told Ava (Maura West) she needed a distraction. Sonny (Maurice Benard) asked Brick (Stephen A. Smith) what he had on Dex (Evan Heller). “What the hell?!” Carly exclaimed when she and Dree (Cameron Mathison) got off the elevator at Crimson and saw a lot of buckets. Willow (Katelyn MacMuellen) told Michael (Chad Duell) it was really good having him there last night. Robert (Tristan Rogers) declined an invitation to the ballet. Diane (Carolyn Henessy) admitted he was her second choice after Alexis (Nancy Grahan), who also declined. Diane commented she asked Alexis at a bad time because Gregory Chase was in her office and he hasn’t forgiven her for representing the Muldoons in the malpractice suit. Tracy laughed when she realized Lucy had slept with Scott. Martin told Laura the papers would allow her to legally adopt Ace. Nina appeared and explained there was a leak in the walls and everything needed to be repaired before the mold spread. She smiled and there was no need to worry because the work would be completed in three days. Carly commented that the Crimson issue went to press tomorrow but Nina knew that. Brick told Sonny how Dex received two payments from a shell corporation. Martin told Laura it would be awhile before Nikolas (Adam Huss) got out of prison and the best way to ensure Cyrus (Jeff Kober) and Heather Webber (Alley Webber) didn’t challenge her for custody would be if she legally adopted Ace. Lucy headed over to Laura’s to talk with Martin. Josslyn came over and gave Willow one of Amelia’s teddy bears. While Willow left to bring her daughter the toy, Michael told Josslyn how he and Willow were working things out. He also mentioned seeing Sonny. Josslyn commented how when things were bad between him and Sonny it made things bad for Dex. Trina dropped a painting and Dex helped her pick it up. Brick told Sonny that maybe Dex was trying to get out of the business and avoid a bullet for Sonny by setting him up to get one. “You keep planning with fire, see where it gets you” Drew warned Nina after Carly left. Diane and Robert talked about the unfairness of the legal system. Ava asked Dex to take the painting in the back and it would be sent out for repairs. Trina cried to Ava she wished she were the one who died. Ava knew how she felt because she felt the same way when Kiki (Hayley Erin) died but knew she had to live for Avery (Ava and Grace Scarola) just like Trina had to live for her mother and Curtis (Donnell Turner). Ava told Trina she was grateful to Spencer (Nicholas Chavez) because Trina and her girls meant everything to her. After Martin left, Laura told Kevin if they decided they would adopt Ace together. Lucy arrived at Kevin and Laura’s apartment looking for Martin. Laura told Lucy how Martin was on his way to the airport to catch a plane because he was visiting his mother. She said if Lucy hurried she might be able to catch him before he got on the plane. “Now where were we before we were so rudely interrupted?” Kevin asked Laura after Lucy left. Carly interrupted Diane and Robert. Dex warned Nina she’d learn about injustice. Michael told Josslyn about the shooting in Puerto Rico and how it could be someone inside Sonny’s organization. Drew entered The Metro Court dining room. Robert left. Drew and Carly asked Diane how they could stop Nina. Frank told Dex they had to go. Martin was at the airport waiting for his flight. Lucy purchased a ticket to Duluth so she could get through the boarding gate to look for Martin. Laura told Kevin if he had any doubts about the adoption he should tell her now. Kevin told Laura that although adopting a child at this stage in their life was complicated it felt right. Lucy just missed Martin going through the gate and cried he was really gone. Tracy told Gregory living at the Quartermaine mansion felt right. Carly told Diane that as she was still grieving her mom she didn’t want to keep the war up with Nina. “I want you to take all the time you need to make sure this job is done correctly,” Nina said, giving the worker a couple of hundreds. Willow told Michael not to go back to the main house. Trina told Josslyn she just missed Dex when Joss arrived at the Jerome Gallery. Dex was put into a car where Sonny was waiting and said they were going for a drive.

Tuesday

Finn (Michael Easton), Chase (Josh Swickward) and Violet (Jophelle Love) helped Gregory (Gregory Harrison) move in. Blaze (Jacqueline Grace Lopez) told Kristina (Kate Mansi) pregnancy made her glowing. Kristina said Blaze may have something to do with that. Ava (Maura West) found Carly (Laura Wright) working in Michael’s (Chad Duell) office at Aurora Media. Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) came to visit with Laura (Genie Francis) and brought diapers for Ace. Carly explained how Nina (Cynthia Watros) was trying to sabotage her getting out her first issue of Crimson as Editor-In-Chief. Ava told Carly she had to cancel the sleepover with Avery (Ava and Grace Scarola) and Donna because it wasn’t safe. “Where are we going?” Dex (Evan Hofer) asked Sonny (Maurice Benard). “The Pine Barrens…I have some business there” Sonny answered coldly. Molly (Kristen Vaganos) came over to her sister’s for dinner and asked Blaze to join her and Kristina. Laura told Elizabeth she wouldn’t have to testify at his trial because Nikolas (Adam Huss) decided to plead guilty. Laura told Elizabeth she and Kevin (Jon Lindstrom) decided to adopt Ace to give him some stability while Nikolas was in prison. Elizbaeth told Laura how Heather (Alley Mills) unleashed all her anger for Esme’s (Avery Kristen Pohl) death on Kevin. Carly assured Ava that Avery would be safe at her house. Ava commented how Sonny was on edge. Sonny told Dex that Brick (Stephen A. Smith) brought him a suspect. “My rat problem would be taken care of soon” Sonny said menacingly. Violet said she was happy that grandpa would be living with them all the time. Gregory tried to stand but fell back on the couch. He told Violet he stood up too fast and had to rest. “Grandpa rests a lot…is he okay?” Violet asked. When she left the room, Gregory told Finn and Chase they couldn’t put off any longer telling Violet the truth. Before leaving, Blaze told Kristina her sister was really nice. Elizabeth offered hers and Aiden’s babysitting service, telling Laura they were family and she had her back. Sonny told Dex he found out someone chose a quick payday over loyalty and that was unacceptable, adding he learned in this business people would always disappoint you. Molly called Blaze hot and suggested Kristina put herself out there. Molly told Kristina after what she was doing for her and TJ (Taj Bellows) she wanted her to be happy. Molly was surprised when Kristina told her Blaze knew she was pregnant. Gregory, Finn and Chase explained to Violet about his ALS. “I’m sorry you’re sick. But you can fix him, right daddy?” Violet asks Finn. Ava told Carly the shooter had inside information. Carly said Sonny wouldn’t tolerate someone in his organization betraying him. “Hold onto him” Sonny ordered. “What are you doing…you think I betrayed you?” Dex asked. “I don’t think… I know” Sonny answered. Finn told Gregory he’d love to fix grandpa more than anything in the world but it was a little more complicated. Ava came over to see Laura. Elizabeth left. Ava said she wanted to discuss the gallery’s contribution to the Nurses Ball. Laura told Ava she was family and didn’t have to make up an excuse to see her. “Would you like a cup of tea?” Laura asked. “I’d love a cup of tea,” Ava answered. Kristina admitted to Molly she and Blaze were dating but didn’t want to say anything out of respect for Blaze’s privacy because she hasn’t come out yet. Molly asked Kristina whether she was okay with Blaze not being out. Brick came to see Carly, who asked about the situation involving the person in Sonny’s organization who betrayed him. Brick said he couldn’t give her information but said Sonny was handling it now and it would be all over soon. Dex told Sonny he had it all wrong. Sonny confronted Dex about the two payments he received to spy on him from someone. Sonny demanded that with the few minutes he had next Dex unlock his second phone. Gregory cried that he wished he had more time with Violet. Molly and Kristina talked about how there was a time Molly would have had to hide her relationship with TJ. Molly agreed to keep Blaze’s secret but said she had to tell TJ. Ava and Laura talked about never getting over the loss of a child. Laura commented how Ryan (Jon Lindstrom) made Esme who she was and she was glad he was dead. When she received a text from Josslyn (Eden McCoy) saying she couldn’t find Dex, Carly asked Brick whether Sonny thought Dex was the person who betrayed him. Dex activated the kill switch on the second phone to wipe out all the information. He told Sonny the person who was paying him wasn’t out to get him. “Give me his name!” Sonny demanded pointing a gun at Dex. Kristina asked Molly to give her a chance to tell Allie (Blaze) first before Molly told TJ. Ava and Laura hoped for better time ahead. Carly left a voicemail for Sonny. She told Brick he needed to tell her where Sonny was before he did something he would regret for the rest of his life. Dex told Sonny he couldn’t tell him who was paying him. “So do what you have to do,” Dex said.

Wednesday

Chase (Josh Swickward) brought a blindfolded Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) to the boathouse where he set up a romantic picnic. “Happy Valentine’s Day,” Chase said. At The Savoy, Lucy (Lynn Herring), Maxie (Kristen Storms) and (Sofia Mattsson) toast to friendship. Cody (Josh Kelly) and Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) entered. Cody commented Spinelli may find the woman of his dreams tonight. Sam (Kelly Monaco) loved the new leather riding jacket Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) gave her. A policeman knocked on the door with a delivery: Danny. Curtis (Donnell Turner) and Portia (Brooke Kerr) returned home from his PT appointment to find a bottle of wine and a vase of roses awaiting with a note from Marshall (Robert Gossett) saying dinner would be delivered at 8:00. Willow was glad Michael (Chad Duell) was home but said she had a confession to make. “I’m not bringing anyone else down with me” Dex (Evan Hofer) told Sonny (Maurice Benard). “Wrong answer,” Sonny said. The plan was to watch a passing comet. Chase told Brook Lynn he wanted to do something special for their first Valentine’s Day together. The policeman told Sam and Dante he found Danny in the park drinking and decided to bring him home and let him off with a warning. Sam wouldn’t let Danny go to bed until they talked. Lucy commented how Maxie looked as though she was glad Spinelli was staying with them. Portia was living the dream having a romantic dinner she hadn’t cooked at home. Curtis wanted to celebrate their anniversary properly. Sonny was surprised when Carly (Laura Wright) showed up. She said she was there to stop him from killing an innocent man. Willow apologized for overreacting to Michael keeping the truth about Nina (Cynthia Watros) from her. Michael promised not to go rogue against saying they are a team. Cody didn’t see it as a problem if Spinelli talked with other women. Lucy wanted to talk about Deception telling Maxie and Sasha they couldn’t afford to take the night off. Even though both space heaters weren’t working, Chase promised Brook Lynn it would still be a Valentine’s Day to remember…one they could tell their grandchild about. Danny called Sam hypocritical when she grounded him and took his phone away. “Not like you didn’t have a drink when you were my age,” Danny said. Carly told Sonny that Dex wasn’t working for a rival mob organization. “He’s working for me” Carly told a shocked Sonny. Chase and Brook Lynn laughed because they both saw Valentine’s Day as a commercial holiday to make single people feel bad. Sam told Danny she wasn’t drinking when she was his age. After Danny went upstairs, Sam said to Dante “My son lied to me and my response was to lie right back.” Sasha asked Maxie whether she ever thought about trying with Spinelli again. With their bedroom lit romantically with candles, Curtis and Portia began making love. Sonny reminded Carly she lost all her money and couldn’t afford to be paying Dex. He knew who she was covering for. “It’s Michael,” Sonny said. Maxie commented that any woman would be lucky to be with Spinelli. Sam told Dante how Danny reminded her of Jason (Steve Burton) every day, adding Jason was an adrenaline junky and in the end it got him killed. Dante assured Danny would be okay. Willow told Michael she wanted them back to the way they were then asked “Are you ready for bed?” Willow took Michael by the hand and led him upstairs. Chase and Brook Lynn saw the comet. Dex told Sonny how Michael initially hired him to take Sonny down but then couldn’t go through with it. Carly explained because of the way things were then, she wanted to make sure he was protected because he was dealing with Pikeman. Sonny couldn’t believe Carly didn’t trust him to run his business or to take care of himself. Sam told Danny they’d talk in the morning and set ground rules. Maxie told Sasha she couldn’t put Spinelli through the ringer again. Spinelli called home and found out James wasn’t sleeping. Cody suggested Spinelli talk with Maxie about James. Cody and Maxie talked about their first crushes and whether Spinelli shouldn’t put his heart on the line as far as Maxie was concerned. Saying Carly didn’t trust him to handle his business, Sonny angrily stormed off leaving Carly yelling his name. Maxie told Spinelli she was having way more time hanging out with him then girls night. Cody commented to Sasha maybe it wasn’t the right time for Maxie and Spinelli before and they could be missing out on something great. Sam and Dante went upstairs. “Sonny would have killed me if you hadn’t shown up. Thank you” Dex said to Carly. “Home or the office?” Frank asked Sonny. “Just keep driving,” Sonny said thinking about his last conversation with Michael. Chase and Brook Lynn and Willow and Michael made love. Curtis told Portia they could get through anything.

Thursday

Ava (Maura West) questioned Sonny (Maurice Benard) about where he was because he wasn’t home before she went to bed last night. “I hope Dex was with you” Ava said. “I don’t want to hear that name again,” Sonny said. Dex (Evan Hofer) was happy to see Josslyn (Eden McCoy). She told him she was worried because she didn’t know where he was last night. Dex asked whether she’s spoken with her mom. “Why, what happened last night?” Josslyn asked. Blaze (Jacqueline Grace Lopez) offered to take care of Kristina (Kate Mansi) who was experiencing a bad bout of morning sickness. Drew (Cameron Mathison) gloated when one of Nina’s (Cynthia Watros) contacts canceled their meeting. Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) approached Anna (Finola Hughes) at The Metro Court and commented from the look on her face it didn’t look like she was happy to see him. Ava went to her room to catch up on some work. “Hello Judas” Sonny said when Michael (Chad Duell) entered. At the PCPD, Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) and Jordan (Tanisha Harper) talked about giving arms dealer O’Neill a deal to get him on their side. Valentin asked Anna whether she wanted an update on Charlotte (Scarlett Fernandez). Drew told Nina how he told anyone who chose to work with her they would never work with Aurora again. Blaze helped Kristina’s dizziness by putting pressure on a nerve in her wrist. Kristina told Blaze that Molly (Kristen Vaganos) knew about them. Dex told Josslyn what happened and how Carly (Laura Wright) saved his life. Josslyn told Dex because Sonny would never trust him again so he was out of the business. Sonny said Michael didn’t know about loyalty if he went after his own father for revenge. Drew offered to buy Nina’s portion of The Metro Court. Michael told Sonny he thought Avery (Ava and Grace Scarola)would be better off without him if he went to prison. Sonny asked Michael how he thinks Wiley and Amelia would feel without their father. Dex told Josslyn because he had inside information about Sonny’s organization, Sonny would never let him out. Blaze and Kristina happily realized they were a couple. Nina refused to let Drew buy her share of The Metro Court. Valentin left Anna’s table when he overheard Nina and Drew arguing. He interrupted them and Nina told him how Drew was trying to buy her share of The Metro Court. Sonny told Michael he destroyed their relationship the moment he hired Dex. Michael reminded Sonny if he cut him out of his life like he did his mother, he’d have no one. Josslyn urged Dex to run. Blaze told Kristina her mother was coming to town for a visit next week. Kristina said they could pick up where they left off after her mother left, reminding Blaze she was the one hiding who she was. Anna asked Drew what his choices were costing him. Josslyn wanted to go with Dex when he ran but Dex refused to let her give up her life or dream of becoming a doctor. Before leaving, Michael told Sonny he’ll need someone he trusted to talk with. Ava came out of her bedroom. She said she heard everything. Sonny asked her to stay. Blaze told Kristina she’s going to come out to her mother. Valentin told Nina there may be another way to get back at Drew and Carly. Anna commented Drew was harsher than he once was. She received a call from Dante and had to leave. Drew went up to Nina at the bar. “Let’s try this again,” Drew said. Ava and Sonny used sinking ship metaphors to describe the situation with his business. Josslyn offered to go talk with Sonny and vowed to make things right for Dex. Nina told Drew he and Carly were going to regret messing with her. Blaze told Kristina she was happy because of her. Anna arrived at the PCPD where Dante told her Olivia Jerome was killed in an ambush of the prison transport she was riding in. Ava opened the door when she heard Josslyn demanding to see Sonny. Ava told Josslyn she missed Sonny because he just left. Someone knocked on the door. Dex put his gun down his shirt and went to answer the door. He found Sonny on the other side.

Friday

Kevin (Jon Lindstrom) told Laura (Genie Francis) he was officially added to the adoption petition so everything was on track for them to become Ace’s parents. Laura opened the door to Cyrus (Jeff Kober). “Hello little sister” Cyrus greeted Laura. Anna (Finola Hughes), Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) speculated whether Olivia Jerome’s death could have been due to a prison break gone wrong. Sam (Kelly Monaco) told Alexis (Nancy Grahan) she was worried about Danny when her mother came to visit her. Josslyn (Eden McCoy) asked Ava (Maura West) to call Sonny (Maurice Benard) for her because he wasn’t answering her calls. Ava told Josslyn she was welcome to wait. Sonny told Dex (Evan Hofer) he knew the only way out was through him. “What are you gonna do Dex? You’re gonna take a shot?” Sonny asked. Cyrus said he wanted to have a quick visit with Ace before another appointment. Laura was surprised Cyrus was pleased she and Kevin were legally adopting Ace. Laura reminded it wouldn’t change his role in Ace’s life. Ava said Josslyn was there because of Dex and Michael (Chad Duell). Sonny asked what Dex would do if he were in his position. Dante reviewed the crime scene report with Anna and Jordan. Sam told Alexis what happened with Danny. Alexis said what Sam did was excellent parenting. Sam told Alexis her fear as Jason’s (Steve Burton) son, Danny was drawn to danger. Cyrus asked how long Laura was going to mistrust him. Cyrus told Laura he arranged for protection for Nikolas (Adam Huss). Laura said this was the reason she couldn’t believe he changed. Ava told Josslyn she overheard Michael admitting to hiring Dex. She told Josslyn she was their if she needed to talk. Dex told Sonny when he got to know him he came to admire him. Anna identified Olivia’s body and said she died from a bullet to the back of the head. “Olivia Jerome was executed” Anna said. Cyrus told Laura this afternoon was the inaugural broadcast of his radio show. Sam asked Alexis how could she keep Danny safe. Anna saw a marking on the gun used to kill Olivia. It was a marking the WSB used to identify their guns. So the person who killed Olivia was behind Sonny’s shooting. Sonny told Dex he was a liability and needed to disappear. Josslyn reminded Ava she owed Dex her life twice over. Sonny told Dex that he and Brick were the only ones to know what’s going on…he couldn’t bring Josslyn into this. Dex ordered Sonny to shoot him because Josslyn was the only one who made his life worth living. Laura couldn’t believe Cyrus had a radio show. Cyrus told Laura his purpose was counteracting the evil he did. He hoped one day Laura would accept he’s changed. Cyrus also hoped Laura would tune into his radio debut. After Cyrus left, Laura told Kevin what Cyrus wanted. “The same thing he always wants…my trust” Laura said. Sam wondered if Danny was trying to take the chances Jason used to take in order to feel close to his father. Alexis told Sam she felt confident she’d get Danny through this. Anna bagged the gun for forensics to identify it with the bullet that killed Olivia Jerome. Sam thanked Alexis for the encouragement. Alexis urged Sam to take it one step at a time. She told Sam she didn’t have to do it alone because she had her and together they’d figure it out. Josslyn told Ava she loved Dex and wouldn’t give up on the people she loved. Sonny told Dex he had to leave and could never come back. “I need an answer now,” Sonny said. Jordan suggested putting an informant inside O’Neill’s cell. Jordan received a text from Jordan and turned on the radio. Jordan, Anna and Dante listened as did Laura and Kevin. Kevin decided to see a crying Ace as he couldn’t listen to any more of Cyrus. Josslyn arrived at Dex’s apartment and Sonny told her Dex was gone. Alexis came to see Ava and told her that her sister Olivia was dead. Sonny gave Josslyn an envelope Dex left for her. His dog tags fell out. Josslyn cried and shouted to Sonny “I hate you! You’re a criminal and a liar and I will never forgive you for this!” “I know” Sonny said then left Dex’s apartment.
