A weekly column highlighting the Port Charles happenings during the past week on General Hospital. Read below to find out what you missed or to refresh your memory in time for next week.

Monday

Carly (Laura Wright) frantically knocks on Dex’s (Evan Hofer) apartment door looking for Josslyn (Eden McCoy). “Ladies, have I got a surprise for you” Lois (Rena Sofer) told Tracy (Jane Eliott) and Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton). At GH, Marshall (Robert Gossett) told Stella (Vernee Watson) he got good news from his psychiatrist and didn’t know how to deal with it. Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) entered Alexis’ (Nancy Grahan) office at The Invader and interrupted Alexis and Gregory (Gregory Harrison) saying “There’s no one better turning a headline to a cause than my cousin.” Josslyn opened the door and told her mother “He’s gone.” Trina (Tabyana Ali) told Curtis (Donnell Turner) they were going to throw him a big party when he was up on his feet again. But Curtis didn’t need a party as his celebration would be walking over to her and her mother. Curtis told Trina she didn’t need to hide what he was feeling. Marshall was angry he’d be misdiagnosed all those years ago. Josslyn vents to Carly about Sonny (Maurice Benard) sending Dex away instead of having him killed, assuming Sonny hadn’t forced Dex to write the letter before he killed him. Josslyn asked Carly whether she’d bet her life Sonny didn’t have Dex killed. Valentin told Alexis he brought The Invader. Trina told Curtis she was afraid to let how she was feeling come out for fear she’d fall apart and wouldn’t be able to put herself back together. Valentin told Alexis he made Sean Butler an offer far above market value and Sean accepted because the cash would infuse his non-profits. Alexis said if Valentin came to take away her editorial control she’d save him the trouble because she quit. Tracy said the wedding invitations were far from perfect. Josslyn vowed she wouldn’t let Sonny keep her and Dex apart. Curtis urged Trina to let it out and fall apart if she had to because her family would catch her. Marshall wondered if what he was experiencing wasn’t schizophrenia, what was it and would if it came out again. Josslyn told her mother Sonny didn’t deserve Carly’s loyalty. Valentin assured he intended to keep The Invader the way it was but with Sean gone, she’d need a publisher. Suddenly, Nina (Cynthia Watros) rushed in and said she hoped she wasn’t late. Tracy said removing and a guest from her invitation was Lois’ subtle way to say Tracy couldn’t find someone to bring to the wedding. Brook Lynn showed Tracy how and a guest was accidentally omitted from her invitation. Nina told Alexis she was surprised when Valentin proposed she become publisher of The Invader. Nina told Alexis she wanted to do what she could to help her hone her vision. Alexis wanted to know why the person she was now taking orders from was fired from her last job. Trina didn’t know whether she could return to PCU in the fall. Carly told Josslyn how Dex knew what he was getting into by working for Sonny. Carly asked Josslyn to ask herself how she’ll feel if she found Dex. Trina said she had to find a way to keep Spencer (Nicholas Chavez) present in her life as she felt like she was losing a little bit of him everyday. Marshall told Stella he couldn’t spend the rest of his life looking for answers. Carly urged Josslyn to let Dex start a new life. Nina told Alexis she was prepared to make this work. “Are you?” Nina asked Alexis. Trina told Curtis the story of Spencer giving her the turtledove figurine. Marshall told Stella he felt better than he felt in years. Lois corrected the invitation for Tracy. After her grandmother left, Brook Lynn told Lois maybe the wedding was a way for Tracy to be less lonely. Nina and Alexis shook hands. After Nina and Valentin left, Alexis told Gregory she wanted to see what Nina and Valentin were up to. Meanwhile in the hallway, Nina told Valentin she planned to sex up The Invader by focusing on the stories the readers are hungry for. “Such as?” Valentin asked. “Such as Carly and Drew,” Nina answered. Josslyn vowed she’d find Dex and if he didn’t want to come back to Port Charles with her they’d go somewhere else.

Tuesday

Sonny (Maurice Benard) told Diane (Carolyn Henessy) he needed her to handle something directly for him. After she left, Frank announced that Sonny’s son was here to see him. “Which one?” Sonny asked. “What do you mean which one..does it matter?” Dante answered. Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) joined Laura (Genie Francis) and Robert (Tristan Rogers) at their table at The Metro Court. Robert said they were there to discuss the consequences of Charlotte’s (Scarlett Fernandez) actions for stalking Anna (Finola Hughes). Cyrus (Jeff Kober) told the person who arrived at the Port Charles Grill. It was Anna, who flashed her badge. Jordan (Tanisha Harper) told Curtis and Portia (Brooke Kerr) she had something to tell them. Dante told Sonny that the person who killed Olivia Jerome could be the same responsible for The Metro Court pool shooting. Robert told Anna and Valentin his office wouldn’t be filing charges at this time provided Charlotte undergoes treatment with a court appointed psychiatrist, a thousand hours of community service and three years probation. Anna told Cyrus she was there to offer him a deal to save lives, one of which could be his own. Jordan told Curtis and Portia that Sonny was the target of the shooting. Dante and Sonny discussed the mob hits. Diane handed Nina (Cynthia Watros) an envelope and announced “You’ve been served.” Nina opened the envelope and said shockingly “These are divorce papers.” Jordan told Curtis since he was working on his own investigation, maybe she should discuss with Anna about bringing him into the police investigation. Laura thanked Robert for his office’s consideration in determining what would happen to Charlotte. Then, she left for an appointment. Valentin confronted Robert about wanting to make it personal. Cyrus realized Anna wanted him to exploit his flock at Pentonville. Sonny angrily asked Dante whether he didn’t think he could handle his own business. He told him how Dex (Evan Hofer) was working for Michael (Chad Duell). Diane replayed Nina’s greatest hits and how she always got a cushy landing for her actions. Robert told Valentin he and not Charlotte deserved to be in prison. Curtis declined Jordan’s offer to be a consultant on the case. Cyrus told Anna he didn’t work with the police. Laura entered and said it was for a good cause. Curtis told Jordan he wanted to devote time to his recovery. After Anna left so they could talk alone, Laura told Cyrus this was his chance to prove to her he’s changed. Dante told Sonny he couldn’t afford pushing away people (like Michael) who cared about him. Sonny told Dante he couldn’t keep people around him that he couldn’t trust. After Diane left with Robert, Nina told Valentin how Sonny had her served with divorce papers. Nina and Valenti toasted to bad karma coming back on Diane and Robert. Jordan called Anna who told her she didn’t have good news. Curtis told Portia he had to warn the killer’s possible next target Selina Woo (Lydia Look) because they used to be in business together. Valentin told Nina about Robert’s discussion for Charlotte. Nina told Valentin she’d always be there for Charlotte. She told Valentin she had to get Sonny’s attention first to get Sonny to change his mind. Sonny told Dante it was decided it was better if Dex left town. Jordan told Anna how Curtis opted out of being a consultant on their case. Portia was worried about the dangers of Curtis’ involvement with Selina Woo. With a kiss, Diane and Robert agreed it didn’t matter what Nina and Valentin thought of them. Robert said he was going to call downstairs and ask them to send up another menu because he was famished. Diane said she had an appetite too but it was obvious not for food. Dante told Sonny these were dangerous times and help could come from some expected sources. “I will try to live up to your faith in me sister. What do you want me to do, commissioner?” Cyrus asked. Anna explained how she needed him to make contact with a certain prisoner. Portia commented about Curtis’s involvement with Sonny and Selina Woo and how he didn’t know his name wasn’t on the hitman’s lists. Valentin told Nina she could get Sonny’s attention by not granting him a quickie divorce. Sonny told Dante there was a special place in Hell for people who hurt his family and he would send them there.

Wednesday

Maxie (Kristen Storms) congratulated Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) on making the Crimson advertising deal with Carly (Laura Wright). Brook Lynn assured Maxie she still intended to give Deception back to her. “What’s going on here?” Lucy (Lynn Herring) asked when she entered the office with Sasha (Sofia Mattsson). At Charlie’s, Josslyn (Eden McCoy) assured Trina (Tabyana Ali) she’d one day feel like herself again. Felicia (Kristina Wagner) was at the bar at Charlie’s where she told Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) it may be time to end his deception and return home. Tracy entered the Deception office and wasn’t as pleased about the issue as anyone else saying they all were deceived. At Crimson, Carly read the article about Olivia Jerome’s murder and was miles away when Drew (Cameron Mathison) entered. Nina (Cynthia Watros) told Alexis (Nancy Grahan) she was never satisfied. “Ava, we need to talk about your sister” Sonny (Maurice Benard) said. Carly told Drew how reading about Olivia Jerome brought back all her feelings about Morgan since Olivia was the one who planted the car bomb that killed her son. Ava told Sonny she could leave if her being there was difficult for him. Tracy complained about Carly changing the layout. When Maxie didn’t have a problem with it, Tracy said “Maybe Maxie should sell her shares in Deception and go back to Crimson.” Nina praised Alexis’ article covering Olivia Jerome. She told Alexis to focus on journalistic integrity and she’d worry about The Invader’s circulation numbers. Brook Lynn told her grandmother how clicks and likes on social media translated into more Deception products being brought. Lucy, tired of hearing Tracy’s complaints, left the office. “Level with me Spinelli…why don’t you want to move out?” Felicia asked. Sonny told Ava the people who killed Olivia were the same ones who tried to take him out. Sonny told Ava he wanted to focus on the future and not the past. After Ava went to her room, Sonny received a visitor: Selina Woo (Lydia Look). “Sonny Cornithos, you never call. You never write” Selina said with a smile. Nina proposed a gossip column to help increase The Invader’s circulation. After Nina left the office, Gregory (Gregory Harrison) agreed Nina could be on to something. Cody (Josh Kelly) interrupted Felicia and Spinelli at the bar. He backed up Spinelli saying he didn’t want to move out because he enjoyed spending time with the kids. Lucy entered and pulled Felicia out. Because she had to hear from Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) she could be in danger, Selina told Sonny “Maybe now is the time to bring our alliance to an end.” Sonny told Selina there was a leak in his organization. “Turns out you’re not the only one with a traitor in their midst” Selina told Sonny. Nina walked in on Drew and Carly hugging. Brook Lynn continued to question whether there was someone Tracy wanted to bring to the wedding. Maxie told Sasha her accountant told her she was on her way to be financially solvent again. Sasha sensed something was wrong. Cody told Spinelli it may be time he told Maxie how he felt. Lucy asked Felicia why Maxie would be going out of her way to make Brook Lynn look good. Josslyn told Trina she couldn’t trace Sonny’s guards’ numbers. “But I think I know someone who can,” Josslyn said as they both looked towards Spinelli. Nina gloated to Drew and Carly she was now the publisher of The Invader. “So I’m onto bigger and better things” Nina said. Gregory told Alexis if they wanted their readers to eat their vegetables (hard hitting news), they had to entice them with dessert (gossip column). He said he had something to ask her. Brook Lynn realized Tracy wanted to go to the wedding with Gregory. Maxie told Sasha how Spinelli helped her put her day into perspective. Sasha suggested Maxie ask Spinelli to stay. Spinelli told Cody about the days when he tried to woo Maxie with karaoke. Josslyn interrupted and asked to speak with Spinelli. After Ava left the room, Selina told Sonny she found out one of her trusted guards was accepting payments. Sonny said he needed to talk to the guard. Selina said that could be arranged, but she needed something from him. Josslyn asked Spinelli whether he could find the location of a cell phone off a number. Cody called Sasha and told her to bring Maxie to Charlie’s because Spinelli would be there. Tracy came to ask Gregory to take her to the wedding but lied she came to get his RSVP when she learned Alexis was his plus one. Lucy told Brook Lynn she wanted in on what she and Maxie were planning otherwise she’d tell Tracy. Nina told Drew and Carly to make sure their subscription to The Invader was current. After Nina left, Carly asked Drew why he continued to antagonize Nina. In exchange for her poker games to resume, Selina agreed to let Sonny have access to her guard to use whatever means necessary to get information.

Thursday

“Why can’t you just ignore Nina?” Carly (Laura Wright) asked Drew (Cameron Mathison). At Charlie’s, Cody (Josh Kelly) suggested Maxie (Kristen Storms) and Sasha (Sofia Mattsson) join him and Spinelli (Bradford Anderson). Cyrus (Jeff Kober) told Anna (Finola Hughes) she didn’t have to talk with him like he’s an idiot when she went over the plan. Selina (Lydia Look) brought Sonny (Maurice Benard) to her traitorous guard. Carly told Drew the best way to fight Nina (Cynthia Watros) was to not give her the reaction she wanted. Drew admitted he wanted to humiliate Nina. Cyrus told Anna and Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) he hoped his police commissioner and his lord would remember his sacrifice. “You’ve been working for the people who took a shot at me…twice!” Sonny shouted at Selina’s guard Li. Maxie was surprised Charlie’s now had karaoke and they remembered their non-wedding. Sasha hoped Maxie would admit her feelings for Spinelli. Drew told Carly he couldn’t forget Nina was the person who sent him to Pentonville and felt rage boiling inside him everytime he saw Nina. “I went to prison for…” Drew started. “You can finish that sentence. You went to prison for me” Carly said. Sonny told Li whoever did this would suffer and whoever was helping them would suffer. “Unless you give me a compelling reason to spare you” Sonny said. Cody assured Sasha he knew what he was doing as they were the first singers who took to the floor and sang karaoke. Using headphones, Anna listened to Cyrus’ semon. Li told Sonny the man who paid him was a go between. But he heard the name of the man’s boss and the boss goes by the name Stone. Jagger (Adam Harrington) entered the room where Anna and Dante set up surveillance at Pentonville. Spinelli told Cody he had no intention of pursuing his unrequited feelings for Maxie. Cody told Spinelli he also wanted Maxie to be happy. But Spinelli thought Cody playing cupid gave him more time to spend with Sasha. Maxie wasn’t going to let Spinelli sneak out without singing. Drew told Carly went to prison to protect her and would do the same thing again in a heartbeat. “I can’t move on with my life unless Nina is behind me” Carly told Drew. At the prison library, Cyrus talked with O’Neill. He told the man he was a former inmate who made the wrong choices. But now that he turned his life around, he wanted to help others. Sonny told Selina the name Stone was someone very important to him and it was also very important to someone who just arrived in town. Jagger told Anna because she hadn’t informed the FBI what she was doing “I’m shutting this operation down.” Jagger told Anna and Dante he didn’t like their methods to get O’Neill. Anna asked Jagger why he didn’t want this to work. Sonny told Selina about Stone and his brother John (Jagger) and how John was the Fed investigating the shootings. Sonny told Selina he would get the answers they needed. Spinelli took to the karaoke floor and sang a serenade to Maxie. Cody and Sasha went outside for air to give Maxie and Spinelli some time alone. Since they agreed her taking the job as Editor-In-Chief of Crimson would end his war with Nina and it hadn’t, Carly told Drew “Consider this my first and last issue.” Then, Carly left the office. Spinelli told Maxie he considered her more than a friend. “How so?” Maxie asked, then they kissed. Cody told Sasha she was a great co-conspirator. Maxie pulled away from the kiss and left Charlie. She told Sasha they had to go now. Li told Sonny he’d do anything to save his life. Anna threatened to go to Jagger’s superior if he forced her to shut down her operation.

Friday

Sam (Kelly Monaco) came to GH and told Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) and expressed her concern about Danny. With TJ (Taj Bellows) and Molly (Kristen Vaganos) for support, Kristina (Kate Mansi) had an ultrasound, Dr. Navarro told her from appearances it looks like a healthy pregnancy. Sonny (Maurice Benard) threw a glass across the room. Anna (Finola Hughes), Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) and Jagger (Adam Harrington) listened as Cyrus (Jeff Kober) suggested O’Neill allow him to share his burden. Finn (Michael Easton), Chase (Josh Swickward), Tracy (Jane Eliott) and Gregory (Gregory Harrison) had dinner together. TJ and Molly told Kristina they wanted to be surprised about the sex of the baby. Danny was annoyed when Sam refused to give him back his cellphone. Sonny told Ava (Maura West) how the boss of the shooter said his name was Stone. Heather (Alley Mills) came into the library and warned O’Neill not to trust Cyrus. Finn was surprised to learn Tracy was flying everyone to Coney Island for the rehearsal dinner. Sam wondered whether Danny’s been sneaking out before and this was the first time he got caught. TJ and Molly commented how Kristina was acting strange. Heather told O’Neill how Cyrus’ sister the mayor helped secure his release and how he led her daughter to her death. Heather lunged for Cyrus and the signal was lost. Anna, Dante and Jagger rushed out of the surveillance room. Sonny told Ava how someone was using Stone’s name to rattle him. Ava remembers how Esme (Avery Kristen Pohl) did the same with her with Kiki’s (Hayley Erin) memory. Molly told TJ it’s only natural for Kristina to be invested in the baby. Kristina came to see Blaze (Jacqueline Grace Lopez). Guards held Heather and she was taken back to her cell. “What the hell was that?” Dante asked Cyrus. Gregory told Finn and Chase he was taking Alexis (Nancy Grahan) as his plus one. Finn asked Tracy who she was taking. Kristina told Blaze how for a moment the baby felt like hers. Blaze said of course it would because the baby is a part of her body. Sam and Danny went to the bridge where Sam commented how it was a special place for him and his dad. Cyrus told Anna and Dante his talk with O’Neill was enlightening. Gregory asked Tracy whether there was something else she wanted to say when she came to The Invader. Danny told Sam how Wyatt’s father returned from serving two years overseas. Danny said they used to talk about their dads. Ava told Sonny he had her if he didn’t have anyone else to turn to. Blaze validated Kristina’s feelings. Then, they kissed followed by undressing and they ended up in bed. TJ and Molly happily realized they could tell everyone they were going to be parents. Cyrus said O’Neill told him the person they were desperately trying to find didn’t exist because he was a ghost. Sam told Danny she’d always be there for him regardless of how tall he got. Sonny told Ava the only person you really could trust was yourself. After Ava said good night and went to her room, Sonny took off his wedding band.
