A weekly column highlighting the Port Charles happenings during the past week on General Hospital. Read below to find out what you missed or to refresh your memory in time for next week.

Monday

Nina (Cynthia Watros) told Josslyn (Eden McCoy) she was smart enough to figure out why Dex (Evan Hofer) was dressed in hospital scrubs outside Cyrus Renault’s (Jeff Kober) hospital room. Sonny (Maurice Benard) sat by his son’s bedside and talked with Dante (Dominic Zamprogna). Tracy (Jane Eliott) offered to make Olivia (Lisa LoCierco) coffee. At the Jerome Gallery, Ava (Maura West) told Trina (Tabyana Ali) she didn’t have to throw herself into work to ease her pain. Diane (Carolyn Henessy) told Alexis (Nancy Grahan) how she could get her license reinstated. “You just diagnosed your misdiagnosis” Kevin (Jon Lindstrom) said when Marshall (Robert Gossett) gave a reason why he was diagnosed as schizophrenic. Josslyn asked Dex whether he came to Cyrus’ hospital room to kill him. Kevin explained how Marshall fit into institutional perceptions. Diane told Alexis she needed to fight for her right to practice law. Trina left the room when Nina entered. Nina asked Ava to help her with Sonny by being her advocate because Sonny seems to listen to her. Lois (Rena Sofer) brought Olivia the coffee Tracy made for her and they talked about Dante. Tracy came to GH and commented to Sonny seeing Dante lying in that hospital bed reminded her of Luke (Anthony Geary) lying in a hospital bed. Ava asked Trina whether she was okay with waiting for a delivery then left with Nina. Marshall thanked Kevin for explaining things clearly for him. Kevin told Marshall he was there if he ever needed to talk. Josslyn told Dex she envisioned a life with him but didn’t know who he was if he could kill a defenseless old man lying in a hospital bed. “I’ve killed before” Dex said. Diane told Alexis how she has to file an appeal in order to file an appeal with the Appeals Court. Diane commented how Alexis has always been hard on herself. Marshall told Curtis he has to work on forgiving Dr. Braddock. Stella discussed with Tracy about getting her free wellness checkup. She berated Ms. Quartermaine, calling her privileged when Tracy acted like it wasn’t important. Tracy apologized for being rude and said she’d check her calendar and schedule her appointment. Josslyn came to the Jerome Gallery and cried to Trina over Dex saying she didn’t care if he never came back. Dex called the non-emergency police line. Ava came to GH and joined Sonny in Dante’s room offering support.

Tuesday

Josslyn (Eden MCCoy) came to Carly (Laura Wright) crying she just needed her mom. “Dex and I broke up…this time for good.” Dex (Evan Hofer) came to Anna’s (Finola Hughes) office at the PCPD. Sonny (Maurice Benard) came to Charlie’s and told Kristina (Kate Mansi) there was no change in Dante’s (Dominic Zamprogna) condition. At the Quartermaine boathouse, Danny helped steady his father as Jason (Steve Burton) almost fell over. At GH after overhearing Willow (Katelyn MacMuellen) and Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) talking about Dante, John (Adam Harrington) told Nurse Baldwin he needed to ask her a few questions about Jason Morgan. Jason thanked Danny for helping him. When Danny talked about how much he used to love spending time at the Quartermaines because the place was so much bigger, Jason commented he remembered. Willow listened as Agent Cates told Elizabeth she could be facing federal charges if she were harboring a fugitive. Josslyn told Carly how Nina (Cynthia Watros) exposed Dex for attempting to kill Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) on Sonny’s orders. Sonny and Kristina were reminiscent of Dante. Dex told Anna he wanted to confess to the attempted murder of Cyrus Renault on Sonny’s orders. Jason got to know his son by asking Danny about his interests. Willow appeared and told Danny he should go back to the house before someone came looking for him. Jason noticed the look on her face and asked “What’s wrong?” Carly reminded Josslyn how Dex didn’t have much of a choice once Sonny gave an order. But Josslyn couldn’t understand how she could love someone who was willing to kill someone. Dex told Anna how Michael (Chad Duell) hired him to get incriminating to infiltrate Sonny’s organization and get incriminating evidence and how he couldn’t go through with it and changed the assignment after breaking his mother into the circle of trust. Dex was then asked to keep an eye on Sonny and report back if he was in over his head. He told Anna how he had incriminating evidence Sonny was involved in an illegal gun shipment with a company named Pikeman. Anna reminded Dex he’d be held responsible along with Sonny if he went on record with what he told her. Kristina defended Sonny’s opinion of himself. Willow changed Jason’s bandages and gave him instructions on taking care of himself. She told him Michael would do anything for him and she was willing to risk herself. But he shouldn’t have gotten Danny involved. Jason said he didn’t seek Danny out. Willow told Jason to think about what would happen if Agent Cates, who was looking for him, discovered Danny was involved. Aiden came to GH and told his mother how Jake (Hudson West) was angry with him for thinking his father shot Dante. John arrived at the Quartermaine mansion to ask Danny questions about his father. Jason assured Willow he’d make sure none of them would be blamed for helping him. John startled Danny who was practicing juggling. Agent Cates questioned him about whether he’s seen his father. Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) interrupted and told Danny to leave. Josslyn questioned Carly how she could accept Jason killing for Sonny. Natalia (Eva LaRue) interrupted Sonny and Kristina. After explaining how she messed up with her daughter, Natalia asked Sonny whether he always accepted his daughter was gay. Anna told Dex to forget this conversation never happened. Dex told Anna if she ever wanted to take Sonny down to keep him in mind. Brook Lynn berated John for questioning Danny alone. Even after he apologized, she threatened to make sure it was hard for him to keep his badge. Sonny gave Natalia the advice of trusting her daughter chose the right person to make her happy. Brook Lynn wrote down information for the Quartermaine lawyers and gave it to Danny. Anna arrived at John’s hotel room with a bottle and said she owed him a drink.

Wednesday

Tracy (Jane Eliott) came to the stables to ask Cody (Josh Kelly) about the condition of her horse. “You should be nice to him. Cody’s friend is in the hospital” James told Tracy. Chase (Josh Swickward) told Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) he went to see Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) and there’s no change. Molly (Kristen Vaganos) met with her mother at Cafe Cherie and Alexis (Nancy Grahan) told her she may not have to miss the law too much longer. Natalia (Eva LaRue) told Sonny (Maurice Benard) she loved her daughter and wanted to support her. Anna (Finola Hughes) told John (Adam Harrington) he was right when he said she wasn’t seeing Sonny clearly. Brook Lynn assured Chase he did his job and followed procedure. “Maybe I shouldn’t be a cop anymore,” Chase said. James explained to Tracy how Cody’s friend Dante was in the hospital which was why he was so sad and why James was trying to cheer him up. Tracy called what James was doing was admirable, adding she visited Dante. James asks how Dante was doing. Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) came to The Invader for a meeting with Nina (Cynthia Watros) who told him Alexis blew her off and was trying to get her gossip columnist fired. When Alexis told her about Diane (Carolyn Henessy) filing an appeal, Molly told her mother not to do it. Anna told John she now knows exactly who Sonny is. Sonny asked Natalia whether she was trying to control her daughter’s personal life because she felt guilty over what happened with Linc. Molly told Alexis she didn’t want her to get her law license back because she liked her better sober. Valentin commented that the article slamming Sonny was too generous in his opinion. Sonny told Natalia after the mistakes he and her mother made when she was a teenager, they decided to step back and let Kristina make her own decisions. Anna told John he was right when he said she had blinders on about Sonny because he was there for Robin (Kimberly McCullough) when Stone was dying. Cody gave James a broom and gave him a mission to sweep. Soon afterwards, James yelled for help. When Brook Lynn suggested he return to singing, Chase said he saw what she was doing and being a cop was what he was meant to do. Anna and John shared honest feelings about how they felt about Sonny because he was there for Robin and Stone. Kristina told Natalia she was free now to talk if Natalia had anything to talk about. Molly asked Alexis why would she want to put herself through this if the appeal didn’t work out. John told Anna he needed to find out why someone would try to kill Sonny twice. Valentin asked Nina why she continued making excuses for Sonny. When she told him about John questioning Danny without an adult present, Chase commented that didn’t sound like Agent Cates. Alexis told Molly she wanted to be a role model again. James explained he wanted to help by carrying the horses’ food bucket but didn’t’ realize how heavy it was and dropped it. Cody assured it was okay because horses didn’t care. He offered to help James sweep up the oats. James told Tracy how his grandpa Mac (John J. York) told him a good boss would do anything they asked their employees to do and asked whether she was a good boss and would help. Chase told Brook Lynn threatening a federal agent was a federal crime. He asked her to be polite with a federal agent next time. Natalia told Kristina how she came there to ask her help with Blaze (Jacqueline Grace Lopez) but realizes she has to work things out with her daughter. Tracy invited James and Cody up to the main house for hot chocolate. Molly told Alexis she would support her decision. Alexis promised if the appeal didn’t go her way she’d reach upon higher power to not drink. Valentin said he was tired of Nina trying to prove she was worthy of Sonny. He called her a marvel and wanted her to remember everything she did, she spun into gold…he just wanted her to remember that. Kristina thanked Sonny for always supporting her. John told Anna how he wasn’t a good cop today because he tried to question Danny Morgan without an adult present. He told her about the woman who stopped him. Anna thought he meant Tracy Quartermaine until he mentioned the woman had a Brooklyn accent. John laughed when Anna told him that was Brook Lynn because a woman with a Brooklyn accent was actually named Brook Lynn. John commented he had to thank her for making him realize he crossed a line today. “Today was not my finest day as a cop,” John said. Anna raised her glass and said “Here’s to it being better tomorrow.”

Thursday

Drew (Cameron Mathison) came to The Invader. “Drew…do I need to call security?” Nina (Cynthia Watros). “Nina, you and I both know there’s no such thing as security” Drew answered. Sasha (Sofia Mattsson) was given instructions on posing for her latest modeling shoot. Cody (Josh Kelly) interrupted a Deception meeting. Laura (Genie Francis) was in her hospital room and TJ (Taj Bellows) got Heather (Alley Mills) prepared for her surgery. Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) overheard Dion bring to Elizabeth’s (Rebecca Herbst) attention a drug discrepancy. Willow texted Michael (Chad Duell) to meet her then asked Elizabeth whether she could take her break early. Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) provided Maxie (Kristen Storms), Tracy (Jane Eliott) and Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) with Deception’s new security system’s password procedures. Sasha was told she lacked the energy needed for her photo shoot. Maxie received a call that the photo shoot was canceled. Drew helped Nina sign into Alexis’ computer then asked her how she enjoyed working at The Invader and whether she missed Crimson. Laura helped Heather with her hair. Heather talked about how she felt being older. Willow met with Michael in the Quartermaine stables and told him how the drugs she stole for Jason (Steve Burton) were flagged. Lucy (Lynn Herring) and Sasha entered Maxie’s office. Lucy told the group the photo shoot was canceled because Sasha was considered too wholesome. She explained what they needed was an air of mystery and asked whether she could give that. Elizabeth told Dion she could lose her job if the missing drugs were more than an inventory error. Michael told Willow he’s going to help Jason and ask that she stand with him and help too. Drew told Nina how he fired Carly (Laura Wright) who never wanted to be Crimson’s editor anyway. Nina assumed Carly broke up with Drew. Nina asked Drew whether he planned to give Crimson back to her. Tracy got a message about the drug theft. Michael called Spinelli about hacking into GH’s computer system. Heather talked about her life choices and dying before she was wheeled into surgery. Kevin entered the wheel after Heather was wheeled out. He told Laura even with cobalt poisoning Heather’s mental illness would take some time to lessen. Cody quit Deception and told Lucy she could sue him. Tracy approached Elizabeth about the situation a board member needed to be aware of. Elizabeth told her it was a computer glitch that was rectified and apologized for her coming down there for nothing. Since Nina refused to work with Carly regarding the advertising deals she set up, Drew said she helped him make the decision to sell. He smirked when Nina called out to him as he walked out of her office.

Friday

Lucy (Lynn Herring) told Maxie (Kristen Storms) they needed the exposure to get Sasha (Sofia Mattsson) on as many magazine covers as possible and wouldn’t let this tank her company. Cody (Josh Kelly) returned to the Quartermaine stables. He talked with a horse and said he wondered whether he made the right decision in quitting. Chase (Josh Swickward) gave Donna and her classmates a tour of the PCPD squadroom. He said police keep everyone safe. Diane (Carolyn Henessy) joined Robert (Tristan Rogers) for a meal. “You have to leave,” Michael (Chad Duell) told Jason (Steve Burton). Lucy told Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) Deception was more hers than anyone else’s. “And if you don’t like it, there’s the door.” Olivia (Lisa LoCierco) came to the Quartermaine stables with a platter of food for Cody. She commented how peaceful it was there. Michael told Jason how Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) hacked into GH’s computer system and fixed the numbers for the drugs Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) stole to help him. Michael added he found a way to help Jason disappear. Josh pulled out a plate and fork for the food Momma Q brought him. Diane told Robert about the appeal she’s working on to get Alexis’ license to practice law. Sasha thanked Lucy for giving her the opportunity to work for Deception. But as her heart wasn’t in it, “Effectively immediately, I’m resigning as the Face Of Deception.” Michael’s plan was to arrange for Jason to be flown to the Grand Keys. But Jason told Michael there would be consequences if he left. He told Michael he’s going to do something he should have done. Chase made Donna and her classmates honorary members of the PCPD. After the students left, Brook Lynn told him about the troubles with Lucy. Sasha assured Lucy she didn’t drive her out. Lucy reminded Sasha if she resigned as Deception’s spokes model, she would lose her shares. Diane excused herself to take a call from Michael. But it wasn’t Michael. Diane told Jason she’s been expecting his call. “What took you so long?” Diane asked Jason. Cody shared a camp story about Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) with Olivia, who thanked him for cheering her up before she left to go back to the hospital. Lucy told Sasha due to the bad market, if she sold her stock she’d have to sell them on the open market and would get thirty percent of nothing. Diane walked into the PCPD and told Chase she was accompanying her client who was surrendering voluntarily. Then, Jason walked in and stared at Chase. Lucy suggested Blaze (Jacqueline Grace Lopez) as the new Face Of Deception. Maxie reminded Lucy that Brook Lynn was Blaze’s manager so that would be a problem. She told Lucy she risked a lot to stand by her. Maxie demanded Lucy leave her office. Sasha came to the Quartermaine stables and told Cody she was also done with Deception and it wasn’t because of him. Cody makes a toast to a bright future for her. Chase read Jason has Miranda Rights. But before she allows the detective to take him to booking, Diane demands to speak with her client first. In the interrogation room, Diane told Jason it was good to see him and asked whether there was any chance he’d tell her where he’s been. “I won’t be here that long,” Jason told Diane.
