A weekly column highlighting the Port Charles happenings during the past week on General Hospital. Read below to find out what you missed or to refresh your memory in time for next week.

Monday

Chase (Josh Swickward) told Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) and told him he had to get some answers out of Jason (Steve Burton). John (Alex Harrington) entered the PCPD and asked where Jason Morgan was. Trina (Tabyana Ali) entered Bobbie’s and told Josslyn (Eden McCoy) she was there meeting someone. At GH, Willow (Katelyn MacMuellen) read Michael’s (Chad Duell) coded text about Jason being gone. “I haven’t seen you since I broke up with Dex…where have you been?” Josslyn asked Trina. Chase entered the PCPD interrogation room. He introduced Jason to Agent Cates and told him he didn’t have to speak with him without his lawyer present. But surprisingly, Jason said he didn’t need his lawyer. After Chase left the room, John demanded to know of Jason “What the hell are you doing here?” Trina told Josslyn she wanted to give her some space because of what she was going through with Dex (Evan Hofer) and because of Jason, who may have shot Curtis (Donnell Turner). Chase told Brook Lynn he had to get out there and go see Dante (Dominic Zamprogna). When Josslyn assured Jason wouldn’t have tried to shoot Sonny (Maurice Benard), Trina said maybe she didn’t know Jason as much as she thought. Michael interrupted them and Trina walked outside. Michael told Josslyn he had news about Jason. At the PCPD, Jason told John the details of Dante’s shooting and how Hamish was the one who shot him. John told Jason how his cover was already blown because there was drone footage that clearly showed his face. Willow and Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) overheard Chase talking with Brook Lynn about Jason turning himself in. Stella (Vernee Watson) apologizes for being late for lunch. She told Trina she’s been worrying about her which was why she wanted to have lunch with her. Michael told Josslyn how Jason contacted Diane (Carolyn Henessy) and turned himself in. Willow told Elizabeth she should go with her feeling that Jason couldn’t have shot Dante. John asked Jason why he ran and didn’t come to him. Trina told Stella how she hated Esme (Avery Kristen Pohl) and she got away with blowing up their lives. Michael told Josslyn how Diane may not be able to get Jason out of it this time. Elizabeth came home in time to hear Jake (Hudson West) arguing with Aiden and calling Jason a psycho. John questioned Jason about going to Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) after leaving the docks because they arrived on the bridge before he got there. Jason denied going to Carly and also wouldn’t tell John who took care of him after he jumped off the bridge. Michael came to GH and told Willow how Jason turned down going to the Keys and turned himself in because he didn’t want to implicate them for helping him. Jake angrily said he hoped his dad went to prison so their lives could go back to normal and they could pretend he was dead. Aiden and Elizabeth supported Jake by assuring Jason turning himself in could give him the chance to prove his innocence. Josslyn heated up Stella’s slice of pie and told her how she wanted to be there for Trina because she was her best friend. Trina visited Spencer’s (Nicholas Chavez) grave and talked to the headstone saying it wasn’t Spencer but was all she had. She commented how Spencer was everywhere when she was nowhere. Trina talked about her fantasy of the time they were spending together in Paris versus her reality. John questioned Jason about the professionally done suture of his wound. He told Jason if after two and a half years of placing him in the organization they ended up with nothing the FBI would have to pursue the information they’ve been using as leverage.

Tuesday

Curtis (Donnell Turner) was having physical therapy and told Laura (Genie Francis) she was welcome to stay if she wanted. At GH, Chase (Josh Swickward) told Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) Sam would find out Jason was in custody sooner or later. Michael (Chad Duell) came to his father’s penthouse and Sonny (Maurice Benard) asked what he wanted. John (Adam Harrington) came to Bobbie’s and told Carly (Laura Wright) he owed her an apology. He told her Jason Morgan was in custody. Jason was brought into the interrogation room where Anna (Finola Hughes) greeted him. She asked him whether he shot Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) Jason answered No and Anna said she believed him though she didn’t think that would do him any good. Finn (Michael Easton) and Gregory (Gregory Harrison) stepped off the elevator. Tired of them treating him like he was helpless, Gregory told his sons to back off. Curtis told Laura he was listening to a news report about Jason being in custody. He told Laura that he could have been the target of the shooting attempt. Sonny didn’t want to hear anything Michael had to say. Before leaving, Michael told Sonny he’s there if his father needed him. John wouldn’t let Carly go to the PCPD to see Jason. He admitted he knew Jason when he was Jason Quartermaine. When Anna told him that Agent Cates was Stone’s brother and used to go by the name Jagger, Jason became angrily and admitted he’s been working for Agent Cates since November 2021. Anna sadly told Jason that Britt (Kelly Thiebauld) was murdered New Year’s Eve 2022. Jason told Anna how he was placed under arrest by the FBI after he got out of the tunnel. He was told the FBI wouldn’t file RICO charges against him if he served as his informant. Jason explained he was tasked to be a mercenary to gain information for a company named Pikeman. Brook Lynn suggested to Chase they move up the date of the wedding and could accomplish it by downsizing. John told Carly it was hard to believe the Jason Quartermaine he knew was Jason Morgan who was a hired gun for Sonny. Carly ordered him out of her restaurant. Anna told Jason if Dante died he’d go to prison for capital murder so in helping to save Dante’s life he may have saved his own.

Wednesday

Sam (Kelly Monaco) entered the interrogation room of the PCPD. She and Jason (Steve Burton) stared at each other. Trina (Tabyana Ali) arrives at the courthouse. She sat down on a bench next to Josslyn (Eden McCoy) and told her friend she was there for her. Molly (Kristen Vaganos) dropped a case file, nervous about Jason’s case. Jake (Hudson West) found Danny at the boathouse. “Did you do it?” Sam asked. “No,” Jason answered. “I believe you,” Sam said. “There’s something else…it’s about Danny,” Jason said. He told Sam how Danny found him at the boathouse where he was hiding out and helped him by bringing him a first aid case. Danny asked Jake how he could be so sure their father was guilty. Kristina believed her father that Jason was guilty while Molly wasn’t so sure. Kristina told Molly she needed to check her emotions at the door. Dex (Evan Hofer) came to the police commissioner’s office and told Anna (Finola Hughes) if she changed her mind about pursuing a case against Sonny (Maurice Benard), he was willing to testify no matter what it cost. “Even if it costs you your life?” Anna asked Dex. She reminded him of Sonny’s resources and how they could hurt him. Anna asked Dex to join the PCPD. Josslyn told Trina she believes Jason is innocent but as they are her feelings so she apologized for upsetting her. Trina told Josslyn how hard she’s having to get past Jason coming back when Spencer (Nicholas Chavez) couldn’t. Molly asked Kristina why she was so willing to accept Jason was guilty. Aiden tried to break up the argument between Jake and Danny. But when Jake accused him of not caring about Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) and Aiden by defending Jason, Danny punched his brother. Sam was furious with Jason for asking Danny to lie to her. She called him a danger to their son and demanded he say she was right about it. Anna called it a bonus that Dex was no better than the criminals she was trying to put away. Josslyn told Trina that time will make her pain over losing Spencer to lessen. Kristina told Molly that Jason may have changed and not be the same person they knew. Aiden ordered Jake and Danny to stop fighting because they were family. Diane asked Jason to give her something to help prove his innocence. Josslyn asked Trina to tell her about her time with Spencer in Paris. Kristina told Molly she needed to consider the Jason who came home wasn’t the Jason they remembered. Molly agreed but only if Kristina accepted she could be wrong. Diane told Jason if Dante died that was murder one and since the state of New York didn’t carry the death penalty, he’d spend the rest of his life in prison. And as her favorite client, she’d hate to see him locked up for something he didn’t do, especially since they just got him back. Brook Lynn came to the PCPD interrogation room and gave Jason a letter from Monica (Leslie Charleson). Robert (Tristan Rogers) came to Anna’s office and told her he’s been a coward. Sam found Danny at the boathouse. She told him she just saw his father and he told her how Danny helped him but asked him to lie to her. Sam said this broke the trust between her and Jason. Trina left when she turned around and saw Dex standing there. Dex told Josslyn he was really sorry he let her down. “Why are you still here in Port Charles?” Josslyn asked. “I think I was just given a reason to stay,” Dex answered. Molly told Kristina she had to prepare an argument for why Jason shouldn’t be released on bail and not because of something she said. Anna called Robert a good father for letting his ADA handle Jason’s arraignment because didn’t want their daughter to be upset with him. Unfortunately, Anna as police commissioner didn’t have the luxury of not investigating Jason. Sam hugged Danny and told him Jason would be out of their lives.

Thursday

Kristina (Kate Mansi) spoke with Josslyn (Eden McCoy) outside the courthouse. Diane (Carolyn Hennesy) told Carly (Laura Wright) that Jason (Steve Burton) was more than an ordinary client. Sam (Kelly Monaco) reads to Dante (Dominic Zamprogna). She learned that there was a possibility Dante was being transferred. Ava (Maura West) asked Sonny (Maurice Benard) whether he was going to Jason’s arraignment. Sam was angry when Portia (Brooke Kerr) said perhaps Dante should be moved to a facility better equipped than GH to care for him. Sam asked Portia whether she’d feel the same if she was told the same thing if it were Curtis (Donnell Turner). Alexis (Nancy Grahan) assured Molly (Kristen Vaganos) she could handle the arraignment. Drew (Cameron Mathison) and Olivia (Lisa LoCicero) arrived at the courthouse. Olivia told Carly and Michael (Chad Duell) they needed to open their eyes about Jason. Josslyn angrily told Kristina that she shouldn’t believe Sonny that Jason is guilty because Sonny wasn’t always right. Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) interrupted the argument and reminded Kristina that Josslyn wasn’t the enemy after Joss walked away. Sonny told Ava he wasn’t going to Jason’s arraignment. He told Ava his choices put his son in danger. Stella (Vernee Watson) came to the ICU. Although they were family through TJ (Taj Bellows) being technically her brother-in-law, Sam admitted she and Stella really didn’t know each other. Stella apologize on behalf of the hospital for blindsiding Sam and offered to help. Nina (Cynthia Watros) arrived at the courthouse and let Carly know she was back at Crimson. Drew told Olivia he and Carly broke up. Jason was brought into the courtroom. He pleaded not guilty. Sam told Stella if Dante went to a long care facility like Rocco’s mother Lulu (Emme Rylan) Rocco would think he lost his father too and she couldn’t do that to him. Sonny told Ava a story about how Dante came to Avery’s (Ava and Grace Scarola) class and explained despite his age he was her brother. He commented how he hoped Avery got to spend more moments with her big brother. Stella told Sam she could speak with Rocco about Rolling Woods. Molly and Diane presented their arguments at Jason’s arraignment. The judge granted Jason five million dollars bail. Michael told Josslyn he had his checkbook with him. “Never leave home without it,” Michael said. Jason asked for a moment before the guard took him back to his cell. Alexis praised how Molly presented her case. Drew told Alexis that Nina was back at Crimson. Sam cleaned Dante off. When she sat down in the chair to doze off, Sam heard the water glass hit the floor. She rushed back to Dante’s beside asking whether he was waking up. Carly came to his penthouse and confronted Sonny about not being at Jason’s arraignment, reminding he owed Jason after all he’s done for him. “I owe Jason nothing,” Sonny said. After his bail was processed, Diane told Jason to keep low key and not do anything to cause her to have to mount another defense as she’d be busy with this one. Jason promised. Diane left the PCPD. Jason told Michael he couldn’t go home yet.

Friday

“Who am I supposed to trust? You Carly. For all I know you and Jason are working together” Sonny (Maurice Benard) told Carly (Laura Wright). Olivia (Lisa LoCierco) was relieved when Sam (Kelly Monaco) called and told her Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) woke up and would be okay. A prison transport carrying Mr. Brennan stopped and a man carrying a large amount of money paid the driver. Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) stepped inside the van. Jason (Steve Burton) entered Sonny’s apartment. Sonny asked Jason why he should believe him when he said he didn’t shoot Dante. Valentin and Mr. Brennan discussed the failed op to take out Sonny Cornithos and how Jason Morgan rose up Pikeman’s employee ranks. Mr. Brennan asked Valentin whether anyone knew he’s been running Pikeman since he’s been in Pentonville. Lois (Rena Sofer) told Olivia she’s been praying in Latin- the language of most of the Popes- that Dante would be okay and her prayers were answered. The doctor told Sam about Dante’s breathing tube being removed and how they’d give him something to soothe the soreness in his throat. Sam came into Dante’s room. He asked her to come to him and said he loved her. Valentin told Mr. Brennan that he’s covered his tracks so no one would connect him to running Pikeman. He explained Sonny would spiral because he’s arranged for the pharmacy to fill half Cornithos’ bipolar medication with placebos. Jason told Sonny what happened after he emerged from the tunnel in Greece and how he became an informant for the FBI to protect himself. Sonny said if Jason’s been working for the FBI and Carly trusts him, he no longer does and they’re traitors. He demands they leave his penthouse. Valentin was annoyed when Mr. Brennan taunted him about achieving his life dream of having Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) fall in love with her only to lose it. Anna arrived at GH. She commented to Sam how she calls Dante her MVD (Most Valuable Detective). Anna entered the ICU and asked Dante whether he knew who shot him. Dante answered he never saw the man before but confirmed it wasn’t Jason and the only reason he’s alive was because of Jason. Sam told Elizabeth so she could tell Jake (Hudson West) that Dante verified Jason didn’t shoot him. Carly and Jason returned to Bobbie’s. They drank a beer toast to Bobbie (Jackie Zeman). Sonny commented how he lost his oldest friend but got his son back. He leaned over and kissed Ava. Carly suggested Jason stay in the empty room above Bobbie’s where he could use the delivery entrance to come in and out with privacy. Anna called Carly, who lied she wasn’t with Jason. Anna told Carly that Dante woke up and confirmed Jason didn’t shoot him and had saved his life. Anna added when Carly saw Jason to say thank you for her. Jason told Carly had felt better than he had been.
