A weekly column highlighting the Port Charles happenings during the past week on General Hospital. Read below to find out what you missed or to refresh your memory in time for next week.

Monday

At GH, Sonny (Maurice Benard) was happy to see Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) up and walking. Jason (Steve Burton) came to the Webber house to see Jake (Hudson West). He apologized to Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) for not calling first. Alexis (Nancy Grahan) and Adrian, newly appointed Associate Publisher, argued over the layout of the front page of The Invader. Natalia (Eva LaRue) entered Maxie’s (Kristen Storms) office at Deception and stopped Blaze (Jacqueline Grace Lopez) from signing the contract as the new Face of Deception. Jason congratulated Elizabeth on her promotion to Head Nurse. Natalia had several problems with the wording on the contract. She didn’t like Blaze being referred to as edgy or that she was being referred to as a spokesmodel. Alexis pushed Adrian out of her office. Diane told her she had some good news for her. Dante was back in his room and in bed. He told Sonny that Jason wasn’t the one who shot him. Jake came downstairs and was surprised to see his father. “Why are you here?” Jake asked Jason. Diane told Alexis that Neil’s brother Fergus recused himself from the medical discipline committee but was replaced by his business partner, which is a clear conflict of interest. Anna (Finola Hughes) tried to get strings pulled for Dex (Evan Hofer) to get more time to take the written exam as a PCPD recruit. Jake asked Jason whether he’d believe him if he were him when he said there wasn’t any way to contact them that he was alive. Natalia refused to allow Blaze as Face of Deception to sell products on Home & Heart. Anna vowed to crack down on crime in Port Charles. Sonny told Dante that Jason was working for the FBI. Alexis didn’t know whether pursuing getting her law license back would be worth it for her sobriety. Natalia redlines all the unacceptable parts of the contract. An option of a second Face of Deception was proposed much to Maxie and Brook Lynn’s (Amanda Setton) chagrin. After Jason left, Jake told Elizabeth how he used to want his dad to come back so he could talk with him one more time. But now he realized it was easier remembering his dad for the good things than having a dad who only got arrested. Sonny came to Anna’s office to talk about Dante and the shooting. Jason showed up at Dante’s hospital room. Dante thanked him for saving his life then asked whether the other man was an FBI informant too. After the contract was signed, Natalia asked for their word that Allison would remain a woman of mystery. That she wouldn’t give any interviews about her personal life. “Is that what you want?” Maxie asked Blaze, who looked at her mother and answered “Absolutely.” Jake asked Elizabeth why Jason was the way he is. Anna told Sonny how although she turned a blind eye to his criminal activities in the past because of Robin (Kimberly McCullough), she wasn’t good with him beating up an old man (Cyrus).

Tuesday

Curtis (Donnell Turner) got out of his wheelchair and stood up. “How long have you been able to do that?” Stella (Vernee Watson) asked when she entered the room. Drew (Cameron Mathison) barged into her office past her assistant Madison and told Nina (Cynthia Watros) “I just wanted to see what you’re up to.” Dex (Evan Hofer) arrived at the PCPD and met with Detective Bennett, an instructor at the police academy who asked “Why do you want to become a police officer?” Chef Josslyn (Eden McCoy), Mini Chef Donna and Carly (Laura Wright) were making pasta. Carly was happy she was with her daughters and her best friend was back. Jason (Steve Burton) entered Anna’s (Finola Hughes) office. She told him they had mutual goals. Donna was excited about meeting Jason, asking her mother whether she thought Jason would remember her. Anna asked Jason about Pikeman. He told her he couldn’t give her any information. “Because of Agent Cates?” Anna asked. She received a phone call and said “Send him in.” John (Adam Harrington) entered Anna’s office. “I believe you know Jason Morgan,” Anna said. Stella asked Curtis why he was keeping that he could stand from his wife. Detective Bennett discussed Dex’s application for the police academy with Heller. Dex explained why he kept Corinthos Coffee off his application. Drew and Nina told the other they needed them. Wiley and Michael entered the kitchen. Once they were alone, Carly asked Michael whether Jason was with him before he turned himself in. Curtis told Stella he wanted to be further along before he shared his condition improvement with his family. She reminded me how even the best kept secrets destroy a marriage. Michael told Carly how Jason hid out at the boathouse and Willow (Katelyn MacMuellen) stepped up to treat his gunshot wound. Jason shouted at Jagger for not sharing with him he knew him in high school and that he knew his mother and let him let his mother believe he was dead. Nina suggested Drew get payback against Carly. Jason agreed to continue being an informant for the FBI so Carly wouldn’t be charged with RICO violations. When Portia came home, Curtis surprised her by walking towards his wife. Dex told Detective Bennett he wanted to be a cop so he could do something useful with his life. When Drew asked Nina to forward him an article so he could read it, he said “Maybe we can work together.” After he left her office, Nina added, “Stranger things have happened.” Carly, Donna, Josslyn and Michael took their plates of lasagna, salad and bread and left the kitchen. Jason told Anna that Carly can never know he became an FBI informant to save her.

Wednesday

At GH, Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) praised Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) and his progress. Dante told Chase (Josh Swickward) to stop calling it a coma and just call it a long nap. He promised he’d dance at Chase and Brook Lynn’s wedding. Chase told Dante he needed more than dancing from Dante. Tracy (Jane Eliott) ran into Gregory (Gregory Harrison) at GH. She was there getting blood drawn for her wellness campaign while he was there for an appointment. Kristina (Kate Mansi) came to Crimson and told Nina (Cynthia Watros) her bad mistake that spiraled out of control didn’t change all the good she did for her dad. Wearing overalls, Sasha (Sofia Mattsson) came to the Quartermaine stables and told Cody (Josh Kelly) she wanted to have some purpose in her life. After she took his vitals, Gregory told Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) he was sure as Head Nurse she had more important things to do. Plus, he wanted to keep his medical life as far away from his personal life as possible. Since Finn (Michael Easton) was going to be his best man, Chase asked Dante to be his groomsman. Chase and Brook Lynn left when Sam (Kelly Monaco) entered. Sam told Dante how Danny’s made some bad choices recently so she couldn’t trust him…or his father. Kristina told Nina she hoped she worked things out with her father. She also told Nina she was pregnant with TJ (Taj Bellows) and Molly’s (Kristen Vaganos) baby. Maxie (Kristina Storms) and Blaze (Jacqueline Grace Lopez) entered. Kristina was surprised Blaze was the new face of Deception because her girlfriend hadn’t told her. “Wow, Face of Deception I can see it” Kristina said snidely then left. Cody and Sasha raked up the horse stall. Elizabeth told Finn how Gregory told her they were overstepping. She told him how things went when Jason (Steve Burton) came to see Jake (Hudson West). Dr. Cramer assured Gregory he wouldn’t share his medical updates with anyone- even if that person is a doctor- without Gregory’s permission. Kristina visited Dante. Nina was glad it was Sasha’s decision not to be the Face of Deception anymore. Maxie urged Nina not to send Sonny (Maurice Benard) a note congratulating him on becoming a grand uncle. Tracy told Gregory he was more than a patient. Chase and Brook Lynn entered Finn’s office, interrupting him and Elizabeth. Chase told Finn his needed help saving their wedding. Kristina asked Dante to spend time with their father then asked what he thought about Ava (Maura West) still living there. After Kristina left, Sam asked Dante whether everything was okay with her. Nina told Maxie she may have a secret weapon to get Sonny back. Sasha reminded Cody he could have a family if he came clean with Mac (John J. York). Tracy joined Stella (Vernee Watson) at The Bistro. Stella was reading Crimson and commented about the new Face of Deception being a woman of color. Tracy commented that at their age any woman made them feel like they were from another planet. Tracy asked Stella why she hadn’t retired. She talked about how she had hundreds of social acquaintances but not many meaningful ones. Chase and Brook Lynn told Finn they decided to downsize their wedding. Nina told Maxie how Ava was still living at Sonny’s and could act as her advocate. Maxie told Nina she was replaced by Mrs. Corinthos when she became Sonny’s wife. “And I miss my Nina,” Maxie said. Sasha told Cody there was something aloof about him and she liked how easy and comfortable things were with him. Tracy asked Stella how she could help people who were suffering without feeling sorry for them. Tracy and Stella made a date for a backgammon game. “Danny being anywhere near Jason is dangerous,” Sam said, telling Dante she’d make sure Danny stayed away from his father. Gregory confronted Finn about calling Dr. Cramer. After his father left his office, Finn commented to Elizabeth she was right about him overstepping. “We are going to Palm Beach as Mr. and Mrs. Harrison Chase and that will be perfect” Brook Lynn said then walked away. “I think I can do better than perfect,” Chase said.

Thursday

Terry (Cassandra James) reviewed Tracy’s (Jane Eliott) blood work, commenting her blood levels were high. Terry suggested referring Tracy to Dr. Collins (Jon Lindstrom) as she could be going through depression. Olivia (Lisa LoCicerco) called Sasha (Sofia Mattsson) and gave her the good news about Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) being released from the hospital and asked her help with preparing dinner. Portia (Brooke Kerr) was concerned when she noticed Heather’s (Alley Mills) restraints were loose. When he walked into Bobbie’s using a cane, Josslyn (Eden McCoy) led the patrons by clapping. Tracy assured Terry she didn’t need a psychiatrist, she was still dealing with grief over the loss of her husband. Portia asked the guard to come into Heather’s room to keep an eye on her and asked a nurse named Erin to re-tighten the restraints. Sasha told Cody (Josh Kelly) that Dante was being released from GH. Trina (Tabyana Ali) told Curtis she was proud of him for defying the odds and walking again. Alexis (Nancy Grahan) and Laura (Genie Francis) met with Terry. Laura handed Dr. Randolph a contract in which city employees would be put on GH’s medical insurance. She needed Terry to sign off on it. Heather told Kevin how she felt her blood boiling and had to do the things she did to cool it. Dex entered Bobbie’s. Tracy came to the Quartermaine stables and told Cody she wanted to start riding again and asked him to pick out a horse. Curtis reminded Josslyn how Kelly’s now Bobbie’s was always a place where people could come for great service and suggested she wait on Dex. Blaze (Jacqueline Grace Lopez) apologized for not telling Kristina (Kate Mansi) she was the new Face of Deception. She asked her girlfriend how she felt about keeping their relationship private. Terry signed the contract. Since she was covering the story for The Invader, Alexis asked Terry for a comment. Terry said she wasn’t good with public relations. Alexis already had a statement prepared. But after reading it, Terry changed her mind and said she’d contact GH’s public relations department. Heather told Kevin how if she had the freedom to do what she wanted, she put flowers on her daughter’s grave. But as she remembered her daughter wasn’t actually buried, she’d keep the flowers to the woman (Sasha) who’s husband (Brando) she killed. And if by some unbelievable chance Ryan (Jon Lindstrom) left her any money, she’d buy a small house with a yard where her grandson could play. Sadly, Heather added why torture herself with things that could never happen. Josslyn reluctantly took Dex’s order. Seeing an employment package, she snatched a paper and was surprised Dex was considering becoming a cop. Josslyn reminded how it would put him in further danger from Sonny (Maurice Benard). Portia overheard Kevin hypothetically discussing with Alexis about Heather’s case and getting it reopened for someone who wasn’t responsible for the criminal acts they committed due to a medical condition. Blaze told Kristina she wouldn’t take the job as Face of Deception if it bothered her that they had to keep their relationship private. Kristina assured she was okay with it, adding they can be a couple with their family and friends. Olivia praised Sasha’s Shepherd’s Pie and said Sam (Kelly Monaco) and Dante would appreciate a home cooked meal that wasn’t one of Olivia’s usual meals. Heather thanked Laura for visiting her and told her that it troubles her the wreck she’s made of her life. Curtis assured Trina she’d find love again. Dex smiled as he ate the burned grilled cheese Josslyn made. Portia was angry with Alexis, Kevin and Laura for discussing the change in Heather. She reminded them of the heinous crimes Heather Webber committed, not to mention the havoc she wrecked upon Portia’s family. Portia vowed to fight them if they turned to get Heather’s case reopened.

Friday

Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) told Lois (Rena Sofer) she needed her help otherwise she wouldn’t have a wedding dress. Natalia (Eva LaRue) greeted Sonny (Maurice Benard) when she joined him at The Metro Court Bar. Molly (Kristen Vaganos) came to Bobbie’s. Even though Carly (Laura Wright) complimented her on the job she did in court, she added that she didn’t say she held it against her, prosecuting Jason (Steve Burton). Jordan (Tanisha Harper) came to see Drew (Cameron Mathison) to ask about his offer for Aurora promoting Port Charles’ image. Jack (Charles Messure) smirked he was right when Anna (Finola Hughes) came to see him at Pentonville. Sam brought Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) home, glad he was back there with her. Sonny asked Natalia to join him for a drink while they waited for their parties. Lois told Brook Lynn they would get creative when she said the old material of Lila’s (Anna Lee) wedding dress made alteration impossible. Scout and Rocco welcomed Dante home. Carly told Molly she understood she was just doing her job. Kristina (Kate Mansi) entered to join Molly for lunch. Carly assured she was okay with Nina (Cynthia Watros) being back at Crimson because Drew was a savvy businessman. Jordan told Drew how talking with him about rebranding Port Charles made her miss being police commissioner less. Anna asked Jack about Pikeman. John (Adam Harrington) interrupted Drew and Jordan’s business meeting and told Drew he was there to ask him some questions about his brother Jason Morgan. Molly asked Kristina what was going on between her and Josslyn when Joss gave Kristina the cold shoulder. Sonny and Natalia drank to Dante’s recovery. Natalia said things were a little but not much between her and Blaze. Sam was going to text Carly to find out where Danny was (thinking he went to see Jason) when Danny entered with a box of donuts to celebrate Dante’s homecoming. Sonny asked Natalia whether she thought she knew what was better for her daughter than Blaze. Drew assured John he and Jason weren’t close and he only came to the arraignment because they had mutual people in common. John didn’t believe that was the end of Drew’s involvement with his brother. Jack downplayed his role with Pikeman. Josslyn told Carly how Dex (Evan Hofer) was joining the police department and should be able to do what he wanted if not for Sonny. She loudly said Sonny deserved to be put away in prison forever. An angry Kristina walked over to the counter and confronted Josslyn reminding her she should be grateful after all Sonny’s done for her. But Josslyn called Sonny a thug. Lois and Brook Lynn entered The Metro Court. Brook Lynn had a business meeting with Natalia. Danny assured Sam he hadn’t gone to see his father. John reminded Drew how he was granted early release but would be sent back to prison if he were implicated in any illegal activity Jason was involved with. Anna asked Jack who was running Pikeman while he was in prison. After Kristina walked away, Molly angrily told Josslyn she shouldn’t be giving Kristina stress with her being pregnant. Especially since Josslyn’s issues with Sonny weren’t helpful. Natalia asked Brook Lynn what would happen with Blaze’s career if there was another wedding dress emergency. Dante told Sam he was biased because Jason saved his life. Dante reminded Sam the more she kept Danny from his father the more he would want to see him. Brook Lynn told Natalia because Sonny is her daughter’s girlfriend’s father, he may not appreciate her trying to keep the relationship secret. Sonny told Lois he’s come to rely on Dante not only as a friend but also as a friend because Dante keeps him grounded. Josslyn told Carly her worry if Dex becomes a cop Sonny will try to have him killed.
