A weekly column highlighting the Port Charles happenings during the past week on General Hospital. Read below to find out what you missed or to refresh your memory in time for next week.

Monday

At The Metro Court, Sonny (Maurice Benard) confronted Carly (Laura Wright) about not accepting help from him in getting the hotel back but accepting when Jason (Stev Burton) bought it for her. “Are you mad I’m here?” Danny asked. “Never,” Jason answered. Kristina (Kate Mansi) told Sam (Kelly Monaco) the only person her dad is letting close to him is Ava (Maura West). Lois (Rena Sofer) and Maxie (Kristen Storms) were getting things ready for the bachelorette party at The Savoy. Lois commented that Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) would love her signature drink, The Brook Lynn Chaser. Maxie told Lois about her problems with Lucy (Lynn Herring) and how Ms. Cor wanted to name the new face cream after herself. Lois suggested calling it The Deceptive because it hides what you don’t want seen. Ava came to Nina’s (Cynthia Watros) office at Crimson. “Got a minute?” Ava asked. “For a friend like you…always” Nina answered sarcastically. Danny asked Jason whether he was glad to see him. Kristina tells Sam she doesn’t know why Ava was still there. Kristina tells Sam she doesn’t know why Ava was still there and how her father could trust her. Carly told Sonny she turned him down because he wanted to give her the hotel as a consolation prize for ending their marriage. He reminded she was the one who ended their marriage. Nina confronted Ava asking how long she had been working her agenda. Willow (Katelyn MacMuellen) and Josslyn (Eden McCoy) arrived with the favor bags. Danny told Jason he wouldn’t let his mother keep him away from his own father. Carly told Sonny he was the one who was re-writing history. Nina accused Ava of wanting to have Sonny all to herself. Lois invited Josslyn to bring Trina (Tabayna Ali) and Stella (Vernee Watson) to the bachelorette party. Drew (Cameron Mathison) brought the party hats Lois ordered into The Savoy. Willow asked Drew’s advice on Michael (Chad Duell) wanting Amelia to learn to swim. Jason brought Danny home. Sonny accused Jason of making a deal with the Feds to save his own skin. Sonny told Carly she and Jason betrayed him. Nina accused Ava of liking being in Sonny’s orbit. Nina asked Ava how she thinks Sonny will react knowing she knew the truth all along about Nina turning Drew and Carly into the SEC. Drew told Willow she was doing the right thing getting Scout comfortable in the water at an early age. Ava told Nina that Sonny respected and counted on her. “Face it Nina, I know Sonny better than you ever did,” Ava told Nina. Carly told Sonny although Michael made a bad choice. And Dex (Evan Hofer) saved his life multiple times. “Doesn’t that count for something?” Carly asked. “Not to me,” Sonny answered. Kristina took Danny for coffee so Sam and Jason could talk alone. “How could you do this to our son?” Sam asked Jason. “You don’t understand Sonny, you never have” Ava told Nina. She said Mike from Nixon Falls was a fantasy and that Sonny kept the dark parts of himself from her. “What’s your endgame Ava?” Nina asked. Carly sadly asked Sonny whether this was how things ended for them after all these years. Kristina told Danny that his mom just wanted to protect him. Danny told Kristina that his mother was afraid he was just like his father. Sam told Jason that Danny was just like him but without the maturity or experience to guide him if he found himself in a dangerous situation…so they had to do it for him. Danny told Kristina his mom wished he was like Rocco. Kristina told Danny that his mom is trying to figure things out with his dad being back. Jason promised Sam he’d set boundaries with Danny but didn’t believe cutting Danny from his life was best for their son. Drew told Willow he’s been spending time with Nina because of Crimson and she’s been talking about Willow and the kids. “I just thought you’d like to know” Drew told Willow then left. Nina signed the divorce papers and handed them to Ava. “Sonny’s all yours,” Nina said. “You know Carly out of all the people I thought who would have abandoned me, I never thought you would” Sonny said then left The Metro Court. Nina thought about moments with Sonny. She took off her engagement and wedding rings and asked Madison to message them to Sonny Corinthos at The Harbor View Towers.

Tuesday

Stella (Vernee Watson) and Trina (Tabyana Ali) arrived at The Surf Lodge for dinner. Josslyn (Eden McCoy) rushed in and apologized for being late. She told them she knew of a place where they could get free food and drink all night. She said it was The Savoy. Trina remembered Curtis (Donnell Turner) said he had somewhere to be. Drew (Cameron Mathison) and Curtis had a friendly hatchet throwing competition. Michael (Chad Duell) requested a ceasefire tonight between Ned (Wally Kurth) and Drew. Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) expressed her gratitude for everyone being at the bachelorette party. Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) reminded everyone to make sure they knew what hand was holding the drink and which was holding the hatchet. He toasted Chase “the worst wingman ever” and Brook Lynn for taking him off the market. Lois (Rena Sofer) realized she forgot the music when Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) entered. “Oh please tell me he’s not the stripper” Lois said. Stella told Trina and Josslyn she gave away their table and suggested they go to Brook Lynn’s party. Willow told Brook Lynn she and Chase would have a happy life together. Maxie (Kristen Storms) thanked Sasha (Sofia Mattsson) for saving Deception on Home & Heart the other day. She then helped Spinelli get set up. Drew was impressed by Michael’s hatchet throwing. Jordan (Tanisha Harper) told Curtis it was good to see him out of the wheelchair. Anna (Finola Hughes) urged Dante to take his recovery slowly, adding he was invaluable. Dex (Evan Hofer) showed up at the bachelor party. Chase told Dex he was glad he made it. “Thanks for inviting me,” Dex said. Chase told Dex to kick back and enjoy. Finn (Michael Easton) told Anna he could only stay at the bachelor party until midnight. Lois told everyone she was lucky to be the mother of the bride. Curtis told Jordan he wasn’t going to waste his new opportunity for a reset. Jordan had her turn throwing the hatchet. The ladies played party games which included Pictionary and tossing a bouquet until the music stopped with the last person not holding the bouquet named the winner. It got down to Lois and Tracy but Tracy was declared the winner. Tracy questioned Spinelli whether he made sure she won. Sasha and Blaze talked about being the Face of Deception. Spinelli took photos of the women doing funny poses. Chase opened a bachelor gift of cufflinks Violet (Jophelle Love) picked out. Other cops avoid Dex when he tries to join their group. Trina and Josslyn entered The Savoy. Josslyn and Kristina almost bumped into each other. Brook Lynn opened her gifts and thanked Trina and Josslyn for the spa day at The Metro Court. She was touched when Lois gave her jewelry she admired since she was a child. Willow, Trina, Lois, Olivia (Lisa LoCierco) took to the dance floor. Josslyn convinced Tracy (who was slightly drunk off The Brook Lynn Chaser) to take to the dance floor. Josslyn and Kristina argued about Sonny (Maurice Benard). Blaze surprised Chase when she showed up at his bachelor party. Blaze gave a toast about Chase. She said he was going to be great for Brook Lynn. A drunk Josslyn told Kristina that she and Dex broke up because she found out Sonny ordered Dex to kill Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober). “You might be able to live with that but I couldn’t,” Josslyn said.

Wednesday

Josslyn came to see Jason (Steve Burton) because she really needed to talk with someone. “I did something I regret,” Josslyn said. Sam (Kelly Monaco) apologized to Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) coming to the bachelor party. Anna (Finola Hughes) asked Dex (Evan Hofer) whether he was going to give up becoming a cop. “What’s wrong?” Molly (Kristen Vaganos) asked when Kristina (Kate Mansi) showed up at her place. Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) told Lois (Rena Sofer) and Tracy (Jane Eliott) how special her bachelorette/bridal shower was. Finn (Michael Easton) and Chase (Josh Swickward) returned to Finn’s place. Violet (Jophelle Love) rushed into Finn’s arms and said “Daddy, you have to hep grandpa.” Gregory (Gregory Harrison) laid on the couch wearing an oxygen mask. Sam told Dante about Danny going to see Jason. Dante told Sam she wouldn’t want Danny to think he was doing something wrong by spending time with his father. Kristina told Molly what Josslyn said about her dad. Jason suggested to Josslyn she may not be seeing Sonny clearly right now. Finn called 911. Then, he asked Gregory and Violet questions about his father’s condition. Lois told Brook Lynn if she had to pick a mom for her, she couldn’t have picked one more perfect than Harrison Chase. Finn told Chase the ventilator was doing its job. Chase told Finn he couldn’t get married next week if their father was in the hospital. Josslyn told Jason her mom was right that all the hatred she had for Sonny was poisoning her. Josslyn sadly said after what she said to Kristina, she could be cruel sometimes. “I never said becoming a cop was going to be easy but it’s certainly worth it” Anna told Dex. Gregory told Finn he was feeling better. Kristina asked Molly whether Josslyn could be right about what she said about her dad. Sam told Dante she wouldn’t let the danger that surrounds Jason into their lives. “I still love Dex. And if Sonny has him killed, I’m going to grieve him for the rest of my life” Josslyn told Jason. Anna told Dex she was certain he’d succeed because she saw a good man that would make a great officer. Gregory was sitting up and talking. He told Violet he was proud of how she helped him without panicking. After Violet went back to bed, Gregory vowed he wouldn’t let anything like this happen in front of Violet again because he couldn’t do that to her. Molly urged Kristina not to let Josslyn get to her. Kristina said Josslyn went too far this time. Chase came over to the Quartermaine mansion and told Lois, Tracy and Brook Lynn about Gregory’s health scare. Tracy told Chase he couldn’t consider replacing Gregory as officiate without talking with him about his prognosis. Drew (Cameron Mathison) and Jordan (Tanisha Harper) talked about the good parts of love they see in Chase and Brook Lynn. Dante told Sam he understood where Danny was coming from as growing up he’d given anything to know about his father. Josslyn asked Jason how he couldn’t hate Sonny for turning on him. Jason commented about Sonny being different now. Gregory called Tracy and told her to tell Chase he wouldn’t stand for them canceling the wedding. Kristina thanked Molly for being there for her. Tracy paraphrased Gregory’s intentions telling Chase and Brook Lynn he knew his body and wouldn’t miss being at the wedding. Drew offered to get Jordan a rideshare. She reminded she had been a cop and could take care of herself. Dante promised Sam that she and Danny were just having a rough patch but he loved her and that wouldn’t change. Josslyn told Jason it was all her fault for following Dex because he’d be out of Sonny’s reach. Jason vowed to Josslyn that he knew the signs and would watch out and make sure nothing happened to Dex.

Thursday

Trina (Tabyana Ali) came over to Laura (Genie Francis) and Kevin’s (Jon Lindstrom) apartment. “Your timing is perfect. Just ask Ace…maybe he can fix the budget” Laura said. TJ (Taj Bellows) was concerned when Molly (Kristen Vaganos) told him Kristina (Kate Mansi) was stressed out over something Josslyn (Eden McCoy) said. Kristina congratulated Carly (Laura Wright) over her getting The Metro Court back and asked what happened to Nina (Cynthia Watros). Drew (Cameron Mathison) came to Nina’s office and told her he put in a good word for her with Willow (Katelyn MacMuellen). Ava (Maura West) entered Sonny’s (Maurice Benard) office with someone she found waiting outside: Jason (Steve Burton). Trina offered to help with Ace so Laura could finish the city budget. TJ and Molly talked about Kristina’s reaction to Josslyn. TJ told Molly that from the moment Kristina agreed to carry their baby, he’s dreaded the day Sonny would become a part of their lives. “If it’s true that misery loves company then you and I are perfect for each other” Nina told Drew. Carly told Kristina that Ava’s not good for Sonny with his volatile temper. Jason asked Sonny how in touch he’s been with his family. Trina admitted she may not have been as supportive of Spencer (Nicholas Chavez) as she could have been. Jason told Sonny someone he still claimed to care about needed him. Carly urged Kristina not to concern herself with Sonny’s choices. Molly assured TJ after their baby was born, Kristina could go back to being daddy’s girl while they were home with their child. Trina offered to take Ace to the park and talk with Ava about changing her schedule to make this a regular thing. Drew told Nina they’ve reached total misery. Blaze (Jacqueline Grace Lopez) met with Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) at The Metro Court. Nina told Kristina that she trusted the wrong person in Ava. Laura came to The Jerome Gallery and told Ava she thought of Spencer everytime she looked at Ace. Jason told Sonny that Josslyn told Kristina he ordered Dex (Evan Hofer) to kill Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober). He asked Sonny if Dex turned up dead what would that do to Kristina. Nina told Kristina how Ava’s long game was to get what Nina had (Sonny) and she fell for it hook, line and sinker. Ava told Laura how Trina may be trying to hold on to Spencer through Ace. TJ cut through the park on his way to GH. He ran into Trina and Ace. Trina introduced TJ to Spencer’s little brother. Drew congratulated Carly on getting The Metro Court back and commented that Jason must have given her a better offer than he did. Brook Lynn assured Blaze her fans would understand if they found out she was gay. Laura was surprised Ava called Sonny’s place home. Sonny told Jason since he disappeared and abandoned his sons for two years, he had no right telling him what to do. Ava explained to Laura that Avery (Ava and Grace Scarola) thought of Sonny’s place as home. Laura asked Ava what she wanted. Trina encouraged TJ not to stress and suggested he learn zen from Ace. “I think for now Kristina and I are happy with how the way things are,” Blaze told Brook Lynn. Drew told Carly they got a reset. “Things are back to the way they are supposed to be,” Carly said. When he told him if he went after Dex he’d have to stop him, Sonny warned Jason then he’d die.

Friday

“Since you’re looking, would you be interested in working here at The Metro Court?” Carly (Laura Wright) asked Sasha (Sofia Mattsson). Tracy (Jane Eliott) told Olivia (Lisa LoCierco) it was time to hire a cook. Gregory (Gregory Harrison) assured Finn (Michael Easton) he’d take it easy the rest of the day. But Finn told his father it was time they’d consider an in-home caregiver. Molly (Kristen Vaganos) brought Alexis (Nancy Grahan) lunch and said she was there to talk about Kristina (Kate Mansi). Sonny (Maurice Benard) came to the Jerome Gallery and told Ava (Maura West) and Laura (Genie Francis) he wanted to commission one of the artists to do a piece which he planned to donate to the city. Laura asked Sonny what made him think the city would be interested. Tracy reminded Olivia the Quartermaine family always had a cook and she was stretching herself too thin trying to feed the family and run The Metro Court. Olivia agreed but only if she hired the cook. Sasha told Carly she’d consider her offer. Molly asked Alexis to talk with Kristina. Gregory promised Finn he’d be ready for the next time. “Dad, that’s not good enough,” Finn said. Laura asked Ava for a moment alone with Sonny. After Ava left, Sonny said “It’s just me and you Laura…what’s on your mind?” Finn told Gregory to think about how Violet (Jophelle Love) felt. He told them they had a responsibility to ensure Violet felt safe in her own home. Before leaving, Finn told Gregory when he wasn’t around, he needed a caregiver. Nina arrived at The Metro Court and asked Carly for a moment. Olivia and Sasha talked about the joy of cooking. “You love cooking and you’re good at it…so what do you say?” Olivia asked Sasha. Molly told Alexis she felt it was her fault when TJ (Taj Bellows) worried over Kristina. Laura asked Sonny whether he thought when his kids found out he almost beat a man to death with his bare hands it was okay because he donated art. “Laura, we’ve been friends for years…why would you ask me that?” Sasha commented to Olivia she never thought she’d end up in a kitchen again. Nina told Carly she was having an electric surge problem in her office. Nina told Carly although Jason (Steve Burton) may have brought her half of The Metro Court back, she had Ava to thank. Ava eavesdropped as Laura told Sonny his years of crimes didn’t end because he does his daily good deed. Nina told Carly not everyone has a Jason to help them when they need it. Tracy came over to see Gregory and told him he had to put his pride aside for sake of his granddaughter. Laura asked Sonny who was going to protect his kids from him. Olivia told Sasha her becoming the Quartermaine cook was a match made in Heaven and also reminded Cody (Josh Kelly) showed up for dinner a lot and she’s sure he’d love to see her. When he came to see her, Alexis told Finn he had to take care of himself first (which meant his sobriety and going to a meeting). Tracy told Gregory if spending the time he had left with Violet was important to him, he had to abide by Finn’s rules. But if his independence was important, he should consider an assisted living facility like Turning Woods where Violet could visit. Laura urged Sonny to take what she said to heart. Before leaving, Laura said while she was mayor, Port Charles wouldn’t be accepting his art donation. Ava came out and feigned surprise that Laura was gone by asking “What happened to Laura?” Alexis told Finn he couldn’t take care of his family until he took care of himself first. “You Tracy Quartermaine are one of the smartest women I know,” Gregory said. Sasha accepted Olivia’s job offer. Nina told Carly she signed the divorce papers. But adding from one ex-wife to another, she believed Ava was toxic. Although they didn’t agree on much, Carly told Nina she agreed with her. Sonny told Ava after all these years, it looks like Laura had turned on him too.
