A weekly column highlighting the Port Charles happenings during the past week on General Hospital. Read below to find out what you missed or to refresh your memory in time for next week.

Monday

John (Adam Harrington) told Carly (Laura Wright) she was the closest thing she had to a friend. They drank a toast to taking down the bad people. TJ (Taj Bellows) asked Molly (Kristen Vaganos) whether she was late because she was avoiding coming home. Kristina (Kate Mansi) brought Sonny (Maurice Benard) a present. “How’d I do?” she asked. Sonny smiled and said perfect. Finn (Michael Easton) demanded Tracy (Jane Eliott) tell him where his daughter was. Chase (Josh Swickward), Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) and Violet (Jophelle Love) arrive at the Quartermaine mansion. Lois (Rena Sofer) told Violet she loved sleepovers and they’d stay up all night doing the fun things. Chase told Uri his brother wasn’t allowed in. TJ told Molly he wanted her to accept his apology. “I’ve been a total ass and I’m sorry.” Kristina told Sonny that Allie was meeting her. Allie (Jacqueline Grace Lopez) entered with Natalia (Eva LaRue). Sonny invited them to stay, suggesting he’d whip up some pesto. Allie told Sonny her mother was a great cook. Sonny said she could join him in the kitchen but said the rule was he was the boss. Before leaving, John told Carly he felt like his luck was changing. “Not for long you bastard” Carly said after John left. When Brook Lynn left the room with Violet, Lois assured Chase the little girl would get through this. After Lois walked away, Chase made a call and said to someone “I need your help.” Tracy told Finn how Violet found him and thought he died. Finn thanked Tracy for helping her and said he’d clean up the place and pick up his daughter. Tracy said no, adding he couldn’t take care of his daughter until he proved he could take care of himself. Tracy told Finn she reserved a room for him at Sky Meadows, which had a minimum ninety day stay. Finn realized Violet was at the Quartermaines. He told Tracy he’d call the police if anyone tried to stop him. Chase and Brook Lynn assured Violet that she and her dad loving each other would never change. Allie, Kristina, Sonny and Natalia enjoyed the pasta dinner when Ava (Maura West) entered. “Isn’t this cozy?” Ava said. Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) entered Carly’s office. She told him how he just missed Agent Cates and added if he had tried to seduce her it would have given her a reason to stab him. “I let my anxiety run away from me and that wasn’t fair” TJ told Molly, commenting that both chose Kristina to have their baby. Molly told Kristina she’s been having these panic thoughts that when the time came Kristina wouldn’t be able to let go of their baby. Ava said she’d grab a chair and join them. “No, there’s no way I’m going to share a meal with the woman who stabbed my mother in the back,” Kristina told Ava. Lois came to take Violet to see her room. Tracy told Finn unless he sought treatment she’d do everything in her power to make sure Chase and Brook Lynn got temporary (or otherwise) custody of Violet. Chase told Brook Lynn he wished they were in Florence. “I don’t” Brook Lynn said, adding they were getting through this ugly, messing situation together. Diane (Carolyn Hennesy) entered. Chase told her they needed to protect Violet from Finn because he was drinking. “What do you need?”Diane asked Chase. Before leaving, Ava told Sonny she’d give him the unabridged version when he got home. Carly told Spinelli she had to make this right and would go to Agent Cates and tell him he could arrest her. Spinelli said he couldn’t let her do that. Kristina told Sonny how Ava was responsible for Alexis (Nancy Grahan) losing her license. Diane told Chase and Brook Lynn they’d need an emergency custody hearing. When Tracy entered, she told Diane they needed a restraining order. Spinelli told Carly he’d do the same thing Jason (Steve Burton) did for her for Maxie (Kristen Storms) and reminded if she turned herself in, Jason would have done all this for nothing. Molly reminded TJ how their life would change when their baby came and told him they should make the most of their alone time together. They decided dinner could wait. Natalia commented on Kristina for defending her mother. Carly vowed she wouldn’t let the FBI use her as leverage. “I’ll find a way. And when I do, Agent Cates won’t see me coming.” Tracy told Diane, Chase and Brook Lynn that she’s unsure whether she got through to Finn but the arrangements have been made at Sky Meadow Lodge. Diane told Chase she could put the restraining order in front of a judge as soon as tomorrow morning. “Do you think Finn’s gonna come for Violet?” Chase asked Tracy. “I honestly don’t know. The only thing we can hope is that he realizes that we are trying to save his relationship with Violet, not destroy it” Tracy answered. Meanwhile, Finn looked at a picture of him, Violet and Gregory (Gregory Harrison) on his cell phone.

Tuesday

Jason (Steve Burton) called Maxie (Kristen Storms) and asked her to do him a favor and call Anna (Finola Hughes) to check in and if she picked up to call him back and tell him what she said. Although confused, Maxie agreed. Anna was in bed with Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) when Maxie called. She told him how Jason told her to call and check in. Valentin took the phone out of her hands and told the person on the other end Anna needed to call them back. Carly (Laura Wright) visited Jack (Charles Mesure) in Pentonville and said she needed to see him. Finn (Michael Easton) left a voicemail for Chase (Josh Swickward) urging him not to escalate this, adding he was the only parent his daughter had. Someone knocked on the door and he opened it. “Hello Finn” Diane (Carloyn Hennesy) said. Sonny (Maurice Benard) told Ava (Maura West) he would be seeing less of him because she was moving out. He said Avery (Ava and Grace Scarola) could stay until she found someplace suitable but he didn’t want her in his presence because they were done. Carly asked for Jack’s help but said she didn’t know whether she could trust him. He said she couldn’t. Valentin asked Anna to stay for breakfast. Maxie called Jason and told him what Anna said. Jason told Maxie he had to go when he received a text from Anna letting him know Valentin was up and he had to go before he was stopped. Diane gave Finn the emergency custody order and restraining order. “You’re helping Chase steal my daughter,” Finn said. Anna searched Valentin’s place. Ava told Sonny she was the only one he could trust. Sonny berated her for the affidavit against Alexis (Nancy Grahan), reminding she killed Connie so maybe he should swear an affidavit against her. Diane told Finn she was able to present photographic evidence to the judge and if he came within five hundred feet of Violet (Jophelle Love) he’d be arrested. After Diane left, Finn made a call. Jason came to GH and Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) thanked him for coming through when Jake (Hudson West) called him. Valentin served breakfast and told Anna they could have a life together away from Port Charles. Carly told Jack about the FBI’s recording of her being in RICO violations. Finn showed Scott (Kin Shriner) the legal paperwork and told him he quit his job at GH because they were trying to slander him. Finn said Scott could keep the money in his case against the hospital…all he wanted was his daughter back and asked him to represent him. Jack told Carly there was no chance the FBI would honor their deal with Jason. Ava told Sonny he needed to take responsibility for what he’s done. Anna told Valentin she had to go but would think about what they said. Jason thanked Elizabeth for encouraging him to have a relationship with Jake and said he’d get tickets to a Woodchucks game and hope Jake would go with him. Scott told Finn he couldn’t take his case and urged him to work on himself before trying to get his daughter back. Anna had coffee with Jason. She said he shouldn’t have stayed outside Valentin’s all night because Valentin was trained in surveillance and it would have been bad for them if he’d spotted him. Anna told Jason about finding a satellite phone. Jason said they had to get the phone and turn it over to Cates (Adam Harrington). Jack told Carly that Jason was too valuable to the FBI to let him go once he completed one job. And once they’ve used Jason up, they’d come after her. Scott came to GH and told Elizabeth how Finn asked him to represent him. He told her that Finn needed to hit rock bottom before he got help. Meanwhile, Finn ordered vodka for delivery. Scott told Elizabeth no matter what happened he was always there for her and the boys. Finn paid for the vodka delivery. He opened the vodka bottle and started to drink but then threw both bottles against the wall, breaking them. Then, Finn left the apartment. Anna told Jason that Valentin needed to pay for his crimes. Jack told Carly she had the time to hire the best lawyer and plan a strategy. Sonny threw Ava out of his penthouse.

Wednesday

Trina (Tabayana Ali) came over to the penthouse to collect Ava’s (Maura West) day planner. “She told you I threw her out because I did,” Sonny (Maura West) told Trina. Kristina (Kate Mansi) startled Alexis (Nancy Grahan) who was working on something. Sonny told Trina to tell Ava she’d be hearing from his attorney because living in a hotel, even part-time, wasn’t an appropriate place to raise their daughter. . “Good to see you again,” Sonny said, opening the door for Trina and showing her out. Finn (Michael Easton) found Chase (Josh Swickward) sitting on their father’s bench in the park. Chase offered to leave but Finn said it was his bench too. After some awkward talk, Finn angrily asked Chase why he couldn’t bother to call him back and let him know how his daughter was doing after the numerous messages he left. Finn sat down on the bench. Chase told Finn that Violet (Jophelle Love) was okay and how they’ve assured her that Finn didn’t think she abandoned him and didn’t love him anymore. Finn said he’d never think that. Chase told Finn this was hard because he always looked to him for direction, adding they both ended up there which had to account for something. Tracy (Jane Eliott) told Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) she had to consider Violet may be living with them for a long time. Sasha (Sofia Mattsson) expressed concern for Violet to Cody (Josh Kelly) and told him how she overheard Lois (Rena Sofer) and Olivia (Lisa LoCierco) talking about Chase and Brook Lynn moving into the Quartermaine mansion permanently. Trina delivered Ava’s day planner to her and after she delivered Sonny message, Ava angrily said he was planning to take her daughter away from her. Ava told Trina she would fight back if Sonny tried to take her daughter from her. Tracy told Brook Lynn that Violet needed stability. Josslyn (Eden McCoy) was cleaning the apartment over the garage when Gio (Giovanni Mazzei) entered. She talked about Ava and her dislike of her but adding she did something right by creating the adorable Avery (Ava and Grace Scarola). Kristina wanted Alexis to look over the petition she drew up regarding the baby staying with them should TJ (TJ Bellows) and Molly (Kristen Vaganos) split up. Finn admitted he was angry with himself for being in the same position he started with his addiction to drinking. Kristina told Alexis she wanted to assure the baby stayed with the Davis family. Sonny arrived at the door. Josslyn called Ava a cheapskate when Gio told her Ava was paying him a hundred dollars for the night playing the benefit. Tracy told Brook Lynn she had to consider the living situation may become permanent. Mac (John J. York) arrived at the Quartermaine stables. Finn called Sky Meadow Lodge and said he’d be checking in tonight. Chase said he was proud of him and offered to give him a ride there and bring him back home when he got out. Finn asked whether he could say goodbye to his daughter before he went. Sonny told Alexis he threw Ava out after finding out she was responsible for Alexis losing her law license. He assured Alexis they were on the same page as far as Ava was concerned. Mac extended his hand to Cody and apologized for once thinking he was a con man. Trina entered the apartment and told Josslyn what happened between Ava and Sonny. Tracy told Brook Lynn she was proud of her for the way she was handling this with grace. Brook Lynn thanked Tracy for saying all the right things…things she needed to hear today. Mac commented on the closeness between Cody and Sasha. He told Cody to expect an observer at James’ next riding lesson. After Mac left the stables, Sasha said she couldn’t take it any more and asked Cody “What’s wrong with you?” Scott (Kin Shriner) came over to Ava’s hotel room and she told him about the situation with Sonny. Alexis told Sonny and Kristina her law license has been reinstated and that Diane (Carolyn Hennesy) asked her to become her law partner. Alexis added Diane would still be Sonny’s lawyer. Sonny said he was about to have a big legal battle. Chase told Tracy and Brook Lynn about running into Finn and how his brother agreed to check in for treatment on the condition he got to say goodbye to Violet first. Tracy and Brook Lynn said they’d support Chase’s decision. Chase told them Finn was waiting in his car. Sasha told Cody he had the perfect opportunity to tell Mac about changing the DNA results. “I just want you to be happy,” Sasha told Cody. “I almost told him,” Cody said. “Maybe next time you will,” Sasha said. Josslyn told Gio how she used to care for Sonny until he and her mom broke up for the last time. She added with that, she still didn’t want to see Sonny hurt. Tracy hugged Finn when he entered the Quartermaine mansion. Brook Lynn told him Violet was ready. Tracy asked whether Finn was.

Thursday

Carly (Laura Wright) thanked Diane (Carolyn Hennesy) for coming over and told her “I need you to represent me.” Violet (Jophelle Love) ran into her daddy’s arms and asked Finn (Michael Easton) “Are you feeling better?” Josslyn (Eden McCoy) smiled when Dex (Evan Hofer) showed up at the apartment. Sam (Kelly Monaco) asked Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) where Rocco and Danny were. Jason (Steve Burton) apologized to Dnny about the gym being closed. “This is way better,” Danny said. “Ready to do this?” Jason asked. “Oh yeah” Danny answered. Dante told Sam that Jason took Danny to the gym. Sam told Dante that Spinelli found out why Jason stayed away from his family all these years. “The FBI has evidence against Carly.” Jason told Danny he learned how to fix after his accident. Carly told Diane about the FBI recording of her committing RICO violations. Finn told Violet she had to stay with Uncle Chase (Josh Swickward) a little while longer, explaining how his head and heart was sad after grandpa died and he started drinking alcohol. Finn told Violet he had to go to a hospital for three months to help him to stop drinking alcohol. Dex helped Josslyn move an awkwardly shaped item. Finn told Violet he needed to go away so he could get better and be able to take care of her. “I made a mistake but none of it is your fault,” Finn said, hugging Violet. Jason told Danny about the car accident and his traumatic brain injury. Carly told Diane that she had it on good authority the FBI wouldn’t hold up their part of the bargain and would charge her anyway once Jason was no longer of use to them. So, she wanted to call their bluff and fight it out in court. “I just need to know, what are my chances in court?” Carly asked Diane. Ms. Miller asked whether Carly participated in any legal activities or whether her name was on any incriminating paperwork. Although the FBI’s case solely rested on the unaltered audio recording, Diane told Carly given her history with Jason, Sonny (Maurice Benard) and the Corinthos organization it was strong. Dante told Sam she could be charged by the FBI and taken away from her kids. Tears ran down Violet’s eyes as Finn left with Chase for Sky Meadow Lodge. “What would it take for us to get back to where we were before?” Dex asked Josslyn. “Before what?” Josslyn asked. “Before I told you I was willing to kill someone for Sonny” Dex answered. Finn thanked Chase for doing what he did to protect Violet. Dante told Sam she had to leave this alone and act like it never happened and hope it never came out. Chase told Finn the best thing he could do was to get better for his child. Violet asked Brook Lynn about her daddy’s hospital. Brook Lynn assured Violet it was a beautiful place and the people there would help her daddy get well. She talked about all the fun things Violet would get to do at the Quartermaines this summer. Sam and Dante realized Danny must never find out his father put Carly before him. Diane told Carly there was a thirty percent chance of acquittal. “I don’t like those odds. Not for you and not for Donna” Diane said. Jason brought Danny home. Danny told Sam and Dante the gym was closed and he got to fix a motorcycle. After Jason left, Danny said his dad was the best. Diane urged Carly to let Jason continue doing what he’s doing because if she tried to help the odds were it wouldn’t work out. On the count of three, Finn entered Sky Meadow Lodge. Chase hit the steering wheel before driving off.

Friday

“Hey, why’d you need to see me?” Jason (Steve Burton) asked. “Because I know,” Carly (Laura Wright) answered. Chase (Josh Swickward) returned to the Quartermaine mansion and told Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) how things went with Finn (Michael Easton). Brook Lynn told Chase that Tracy (Jane Eliott) thought they should move in there permanently with Violet (Jophelle Love). Sonny (Maurice Benard) had a drink with Natalia (Eva LaRue) and told her Ava (Maura West) moved out. Ava told Laura (Genie Francis) she was staying at The Metro Court because she was safer there than under the same roof with Sonny Cornithos. Blaze (Jacqueline Grace Lopez) was surprised by Kristina (Kate Mansi) plan to turn over the running of the Cornithos Davis Center to someone else and if she was going on maternity leave. Chase and Brook Lynn discussed moving into the Quartermaine mansion. Chase told Brook Lynn how the whole drive back he was thinking how much he was the person who had to step up to take care of his family. Sonny told Natalia how the people he thought were the closest to him were conspiring against him and believed Ava wasn’t. “But Ava was and always will be a treacherous viper” Sonny said. Ava told Laura she didn’t know why Sonny was irrational and had turned on her. Laura added she’s become aware recently Sonny wasn’t the man she thought he was. Carly told Jason she knew why he was an informant for the FBI because Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) hacked into the FBI database and Sam (Kelly Monaco) played an audio recording for her of that meeting with the Five Family where she announced she was the head of the Cornithos organization. “You had a choice, your freedom and your family…why did you pick me?” Carly asked Jason. Ava told Laura how Sonny beat a man within an inch of his life at Chase and Brook Lynn’s reception. Kristina told Blaze how she intended to take the twelve weeks of maternity/family leave because she didn’t know what would happen and if TJ (Taj Bellows) and Molly (Kristen Vaganos) would stay together a year from now. And TJ and she (Kristina) both have biological and legal right to the baby whereas Molly doesn’t. Blaze asked whether Kristina intended to fight for custody. Jason told Carly he never wanted her to know and he was handling it. But Carly asked “Do you honestly believe the FBI and John Cates will ever let you go?” Kristina asked how Blaze would feel co-parenting if she got custody of the baby. Ava told Laura she was afraid Sonny becoming so erratic he would try to get their custody agreement overturned. “So, what do you think of Tracy’s idea?” Brook Lynn asked Chase. “If you turn yourself in everything I sacrificed means nothing” Jason told Carly. Brook Lynn told Chase he and Violet were now part of the large Cerillo/Quartermaine clan. Laura asked Ava whether she asked her there for her assistance in a custody battle with Sonny. Ava told Laura that other than Avery (Ava and Grace Scarola), Trina (Tabayna Ali) and Laura were the closest thing she had to family. Ava told Laura how she spoke with Scott (Kin Shriner) who told her Sonny would try to smear her in court so she was looking for character witnesses and asked whether she could give Laura’s name to Scott as someone who would be willing to appear for her in Family Court. Chase told Brook Lynn he’s decided it was a good idea to spend the summer. Laura told Ava she could give her name to Scott because if Avery had to have one custodial parent, it should be Ava. Jason told Carly if she went to prison, Donna would grow up without her and believe she chose him or her. He added it was a fact that if she went to prison, he’d blame himself for the rest of his life. So if Carly didn’t want him to carry that guilt, she’d let him finish what he started. Carly asked Jason what if she couldn’t live with it. “Honestly if the situation presented itself, would you want to co-parent this child with me?” Kristina asked Blaze, who answered with her career on the upswing, being a mom now wasn’t what she wanted right now. Kristina appreciated Blaze’s honesty but said if TJ sued for custody, she had to make sure Molly had access to this child. Sonny made a toast “To finding our friends in the darkness.” Drinking a martini, Ava also made a toast “To new beginnings.” “You don’t have to live with it, I do,” Jason said, telling Carly “I chose to take the FBI’s deal. So please I’m asking you, do not get in the way of it.”
