A weekly column highlighting the Port Charles happenings during the past week on General Hospital. Read below to find out what you missed or to refresh your memory in time for next week.

Monday

Alexis (Nancy Grahan) interrupted Nina (Cynthia Watros) arguing with Drew (Cameron Mathison) about cutting what he’s spending for Fashion Week. “Have you forgotten I’m your boss?” Nina asked. “Not anymore,” Alexis answered. Lois (Rena Sofer) arrived at Deception. Blaze (Jacqueline Grace Lopez) looked for her phone. “Gio and her friend Trina are moving into the apartment on the grounds” Gio (Giovanni Mazzei) told Sonny (Maurice Benard). “You can tell me everything that Joss has ever told you about Sonny” Ava (Maura West) told Trina (Tabyana Ali). Lois said Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) couldn’t join the meeting. Natalia (Eva LaRue) entered as Lois was telling a funny story about how someone mistook her for Blaze’s mother. Nancy announced to Nina she was quitting because she got her law office back. Sonny approached Josslyn and asked her not to share her opinion about him with Gio. Josslyn admitted she regretted opening Kristina’s (Kate Mansi) eyes about him and wouldn’t make the same mistake twice. So whatever Gio found out about him would be because of something he did. Ava told Trina that Sonny was trying to take Avery (Ava and Grace Scarola) from her and she couldn’t let that happen. Trina told Ava that Joss never talks about Sonny. Alexis told Kristina how she quit her job at The Invader. When Blaze entered, she and Lois shared stories how because Lois was the other Face of Deception they are often confused as mother and daughter. Natalia reminded that they were there to finalize the addendum to her daughter’s contract. Jordan (Tanisha Harper) came to his office at Aurora and asked whether it was true he was running for Congressman McConkey’s seat. Trina arrived at The Metro Court Pool and told Josslyn how Ava was frantic thinking Sonny was going to file for sole custody of Avery. Adrian DeWitt arrived at Ava’s hotel room. He planned the audio file she sent in which Natalia expressed her non-politically correct opinion of gays. Jordan urged Drew to get out and start campaigning. Kristina told Alexis how she was looking for a replacement for her at the center while she’s on maternity leave. Gio thanked Trina for including his name as the live music on the program for the art benefit. Maxie (Kristen Storms) told Blaze how they were happy to accommodate the addendum to her contract. Lucy (Lynn Herring) commented it was the fourth time they attempted to satisfy Blaze’s mother. Adrian told Ava that Alexis was out of The Invader and to email the audio file to their anonymous tip line and to look for the story in The Invader tonight. Nina interrupted Drew and Jordan. She commented after Jordan left about Jordan referring to Drew as Congressman Quartermaine. Nina said if she knew what she was doing, she’d offer to manage Drew’s campaign. Natalia looked over the addendum and said it wasn’t what they had agreed on. Ava showed up at The Metro Court Pool. After Gio took Avery to get some ice cream, Sonny reminded Ava he didn’t want to see her again. Kristina was overwhelmed with hormone emotions wondering what would happen to her after she gave birth. Maxie’s phone blew up over an alert that news about Deception was in The Invader. Ava warned Sonny if he thought about taking her daughter away from her, it would go worse for him then he could ever imagine. Nina told Drew she believed in him and he’d need all the help he could get if he wanted to win. Maxie was shocked when she finally looked at her phone and saw the article about Natalia’s views of people who are gay.

Tuesday

Sonny (Maurice Benard) told Diane (Carolyn Hennesy) “My daughter isn’t safe with Ava. I want her with me.” Ava (Maura West) called Adrian DeWitt and asked him to meet her in her room. Kristina (Kate Mansi) showed Alexis (Nancy Grahan) the CVs of potential applicants. Maxie (Kristen Storms) and Lucy (Lynn Herring) read The Invader article. Maxie told Natalia (Eva LaRue) if there’s a media disaster, they weren’t the ones who started it. Adrian DeWitt entered Ava’s hotel room and assured he knew how to protect his sources. Sonny told Diane he wanted full custody of Avery (Ava and Grace Scarola) and didn’t want Ava to have visitation. Diane told Sonny in order to get him sole custody, they had to prove Ava was more unfit to raise Avery than him. Diane told Sonny that Avery wasn’t a baby any more and may hate him for trying to take her away from her mother. Sonny said it was better for Avery to hate her father than grow up to become her mother. Diane saw The Invader article about Natalia and called Alexis, who told her she resigned from The Invader. Diane told Alexis to turn up the audio and tell Kristina she’s sorry. Maxie played the audio. “Don’t hold back mom…tell me how you really feel.” Blaze (Jacqueline Grace Scarlola) said angrily. Ava asked Adrian to take down the article. He told her it was too late for that. Alexis played the audio for Kristina to hear. Kristina was angry at Blaze for being outed. Sonny was angry that someone hurt his daughter. Diane told him how some activists are demanding Kristina resign from the center she founded. Natalia insisted she didn’t remember saying those words and to whom. She suggested she and Allison release a joint statement to some friendly media outlets. But Allison didn’t want anything to do with her mother. After Blaze left the Deception office, Maxie tore up Blaze’s contract. Alexis confronted Adrian DeWitt at The Metro Court Pool and threatened to suit The Invader for the article. Maxie told Natalia that Deception can’t be associated with someone who is afraid to admit they were gay. Blaze came to see Kristina and tearfully apologized. She commented how the public was unforgiving of someone who was in the closet. Blaze was worried her career was over before it even began. Kristina assured she’d be okay and they’d be okay but Blaze didn’t have the same confidence. Natalia sat in her car and listened to the audio file. Alexis reminded Adrian he violated freedom of speech when he published the audio of a private citizen without her consent. She said she could help make it go away even if revealed the name of his source. Lois, Lucy and Maxie discussed how to handle the Blaze situation. Natalia came to see Sonny and told him she remembered the person she was speaking with on the recording. She told him it was Ava Jerome. Alexis came to Ava’s hotel room to confront her.

Wednesday

“The only way to get Jason out of the FBI’s thumb is if I risk going to prison” Carly (Laura Wright) told Josslyn (Eden McCoy). Nina (Cynthia Watros) entered Maxie’s (Kristen Storms) office and said she arrived just in time since they were about to discuss damage control. “You’re done. You’re gonna stop apologizing and listen to me now” Kristina (Kate Mansi) told Blaze (Jacqueline Grace Lopez). Alexis (Nancy Grahan) told Ava that Adrian DeWitt gave her up. “You may have said the words, but it was Ava who delivered that recording and now she’s gonna pay for it” Sonny (Maurice Benard) told Natalia (Eva LaRue). Kristina told Blaze the people who are judging them have no right to the decisions they make in their personal life. She added the person who should be ashamed is the one who violated their privacy by leaking that recording to The Invader. Nina told Maxie, Lois (Rena Sofer), Lucy (Lynn Herring) and Scott (Kin Shriner) she decided to pull Deception’s spread in Crimson of Blaze because it would be a nightmare for it to appear now. Lois had a suggestion on what should replace it. Alexis told Ava she got her law license back and would be working on a big case. “Care to guess what it is?” Alexis asked Ava. Carly told Josslyn about the FBI’s threat against her. Sasha (Sofia Mattsson) came over to give Kristina her advice on dealing with press scandals. Lois’ suggestion was to use the two page spread in Crimson to get Blaze on the record. But Maxie had a better idea: Use the two page spread with simple white pages with the message ‘No one Cancels Love’ written in black, bold print. Everyone thought it was a good idea. Nina told Maxie that Adrian DeWitt will have to answer to her. Sonny told Natalia he never thought Ava would come after Kristina like this. Sonny and Natalia had something in common because they both did something that hurt and disappointed their children. When Adrian entered Maxie’s office, Nina confronted him about releasing that recording without speaking with her first. She asked where he got it and he confessed “Ava Jerome.” Alexis explained to Ava the case she’d be arguing in court regarding the release of the recording. “If the FBI decides to charge me, there’s a good chance I may go to prison,” Carly told Josslyn. Lucy demanded Scott drop Ava Jerome as a client. Nina fired Adrian DeWitt. “Pack your things and get out.” “Nina…wait” Maxie said. Sonny told Natalia in spite of what she said on that recording, she treated Kristina with respect. Sonny told Natalia “I’m going to take care of Ava.” Alexis hinted she may have recorded their conversation. Maxie told Nina firing Adrian wouldn’t be good for The Invader. Scott came to see Ava. When she told him Alexis got her law license back, Scott said that wasn’t good for Ava. Alexis came to see Sonny. After apologizing to Alexis, Natalia left. Alexis told Sonny that Ava leaked the recording and asked what they were going to do about it. Josslyn told Carly that she and Dex (Evan Hofer) were at a point where they got to decide about themselves without thinking about everyone else. Nina came to see Blaze and Kristina and told them Ava Jerome released the recording. Scott told Ava the little stint she pulled the only way she’d get full custody of Avery (Ava and Grace Scarola) is if Sonny commits murder on camera. Or has a breakdown. Sonny vowed to Alexis that Diane (Carolyn Hennesy) would make sure Ava never laid eyes on Avery again.

Thursday

Chase (Josh Swickard) interrupted Finn (Michael Easton) and Violet (Jophelle Love) having cocktails and learned Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) was with Tracy (Jane Elliot). Chase left to rescue her. Jane was annoyed that Brook Lynn didn’t let Maxie (Kristen Storms) take the fall for downloading the file. “You love working at Deception. Otherwise your boyfriend Chase will learn exactly what role I played in getting him reinstated at the PCPD” Tracy warned her granddaughter. Anna (Finola Hughes) was glad Jordan (Tanisha Harper) called, commenting it had to be difficult figuring out how she was going to be friends with a traitor. Anna just wanted her life to return to normal. “You think it’s normal having the word murderer written on your front door?” Jordan asked. Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) asked Portia (Brooke Kerr) how things were going for her. Portia told Elizabeth how Trina (Tabyana Ali) approached her but admitted she hasn’t talked with Curtis (Donnell Turner) because she’s been avoiding him. Curtis asked TJ (Taj Bellows) how he’d feel if Molly (Holiday Mia Kriegel) decided she didn’t want to have children. Just then, Molly, Sam (Kelly Monaco), Kristina (Kate Mansi) and Alexis (Nancy Grahan) enter The Savoy. At The Metro Court dining room, Sonny (Maurice Benard) admitted he called Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) there under false pretenses. “Nina and I are getting married and I wanted to know if you wanted to be my best man?” Sonny asked. Chase told Tracy they were meeting his brother and Violet at the bar. Anna realized Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) called Jordan before he left. She assured it was just kids who spray painted her door so there was nothing to be concerned about. Anna wanted to talk about Jordan’s new position as Deputy Mayor. Jordan assured Anna she’d always be one of her friends. Jordan reminded Anna that it was a long time ago and she helped countless people since. Jordan hoped her new job would distract her from the rest of her life. Molly asked TJ what he was doing there. While Molly went to talk with TJ, Curtis checked in with Sam and asked about Drew (Cameron Mathison). TJ told Molly he just came to talk with his Uncle Curtis but was heading out and would see her at home. “Nothing about this is okay,” Molly said. Dante accepted, saying he’d be honored to be Sonny’s best man. Sonny told Dante the wedding would be sometime in the Fall. Dante asked whether his father wanted a low key wedding out of fear something would happen. Portia told Elizabeth she was angry with Curtis and extremely hurt and a part of her was worried it was already too late. Elizabeth understood how Portia felt because she was in something similar with Finn. Liz commented how it wasn’t just about her and Finn…Violet’s happiness was also at stake and she wouldn’t want to be responsible for breaking that little girl’s heart. “Is it Violet’s heart you’re worried about or yours?” Portia asked Elizabeth. Violet invited Tracy to join them for dinner…that way they’d have the same number of boys and girls. Gregory (Gregory Harrison) entered. Molly assured TJ she didn’t want him to feel she’d ever chase him away. She needed a break from her fertility issues but never from her life’s partner. Brook Lynn wasn’t happy to see her granny joining them for dinner. Portia told Elizabeth she’d never know what would happen if she didn’t tell Finn how she felt. Portia suggested Elizabeth go home, take a shower and put something she felt really good in on before heading over to tell Finn how she felt. Anna and Jordan talked about Jordan sleeping with Portia’s brother Zeke (Gavin Houston) and how he told Portia that Jordan kissed Curtis. Dante questioned Sonny about the shooting at the warehouse and about the beefed up security and the changes in his routine. He said he was asking as his son, not as a cop. Chase commented to Brook Lynn her grandmother may be lonely. Curtis told Sam things were going well with Trina until he messed things up. Sam assured Curtis things will work out. A nurse commented how good Portia looked and asked Dr. Robinson whether she was heading home. “No, I’m going out,” Portia answered. Jordan introduced Anna to Zeke. Anna said she had a phone call she had to make so left so Jordan and Zeke could talk. Zeke apologized for coming to her office and asked her to hear him out. Anna called Sonny and they arranged to meet. Jordan told Zeke she was mad at him because he didn’t give her a heads up. She understood Portia was his sister and families shouldn’t keep secrets from each other. Zeke asked for another chance. Sonny left Dante to meet with Anna. Gregory was surprised Brook Lynn was working full time at Deception since the last time they spoke she was focused on her song writing. Anna told Sonny she had a message from Valentin. Zeke told Jordan he thought they had potential before everything went down and it got crazy. Zeke asked Jordan to have dinner with him. Kristina told Alexis she thinks she could pull off getting the shelter off the ground and vowed to see it through until the end. Gregory told Brook Lynn he hoped she continued writing songs. Chase said Brook Lynn could do anything she set her mind to. Kristina suggested TJ be on the board of her foundation. Curtis told TJ it was time he took his own advice. Kristina got a realization. “Why didn’t I think of that before?” Anna passed on Valentin’s message which was not to speak with anyone new. If his contact person was to change he wasn’t to proceed until he spoke with his original contact. Jordan assured it was over with her ex and she was moving on. She said she didn’t want to cause problems between Zeke and his sister as Portia entered. Violet yawned and Finn said he was going to take her home. He was surprised when Elizabeth stepped off the elevator. Gregory offered to take Violet home so Finn and Elizabeth could talk. Kristina announced she could be TJ and Molly’s surrogate. Curtis arrived at The Metro Court Pool. Dante had everyone take cover as shots rang out.

Friday

Drew (Cameron Mathison) approached Jordan (Tanisha Harper) as she relaxed at The Metro Court Pool after having covered a meeting for Laura (Genie Francis). They talked about Drew running for Congress. Tanisha told Drew “I am thrilled for you and for us. The campaign trail awaits.” Trina (Tabyana Ali) was unpacking her box of books and found Spencer (Nicholas Chavez) inscribed. She was startled by Gio (Gio Mazza). Maxie (Kristen Storms) and Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) talked about the Blaze (Jacqueline Grace Lopez) Natalia (Eva LaRue) situation. Kristina (Kate Mansi) barged into Natalia’s hotel room and confronted her for the things she said. “You are her mother. You are supposed to protect her. How could you do this to her?”Kristina demanded. Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) came to see Sonny (Maurice Benard). Dante commented about what Natalia said on that recording. Sonny told Dante it was Ava’s (Maura West) fault and added “I am going to hurt her in ways she can’t imagine.” Maxie told Brook Lynn they needed to take a break from Blaze as the Face of Deception. Kristina told Natalia she doesn’t know where she got that Allie was flighty. “Maybe I wasn’t referring to her,” Natalia said. Gio and Trina talked about feeling the person you lost. Sonny told Dante that Ava was gearing up for a custody battle and would do anything to hurt him. “You come after me, you’re an idiot. You come after my family, you’re a dead man.” Dante told Sonny he wasn’t going to walk out that door and let him do something that would come back to hurt him. Jordan and Drew talked about how Scout would feel about him running for office. Jordan commented that people vote with their hearts so she had no doubt Scout would be his secret weapon in this campaign. Curtis (Donnell Turner) appeared and he and Drew went to the bar. Gio told Trina how he lost his mom when he was ten. He shared his feelings on the experience. Dante reminded Sonny he needed to think before reacting. Curtis offered to do anything in his power to help him win this election. Dex (Evan Hofer) caught Josslyn (Eden McCoy) as she almost fell while changing the battery of the smoke alarm. Blaze came to Maxie’s office and announced she was resigning. “You are a bigot because you are choosing to be a bigot” Kristina told Natalia, adding while she is choosing to be a bigot, her daughter is hurting. Josslyn told Dex she can see when someone is working to change. Gio and Trina walked in on Dex and Josslyn kissing. Nina (Cynthia Watros) interrupted Drew and Curtis. She told Drew her decision to delay Crimson’s printed media publication by twenty-four hours because the spread with Blaze was scrapped and replaced with a simple message. Sonny told Dante that Ava was the last of the Jeromes and he was going to take that last down. Before leaving, Kristina vowed she was going to make sure Allie didn’t need her for anything. Brook Lynn told Blaze the label just made an announcement that they were dropping her. Maxie and Brook Lynn assured Blaze she was going to bounce back from this. Drew told Nina she made the right call and he was impressed by her compassion. Curtis said Nina was good with PR and Drew could use her help with his campaign. Jordan brought his cell phone over and told him it was blowing up. “The name change is official. You are now looking at Drew Quartermaine” Drew announced. Dex, Gio, Trina and Josslyn made a toast to the new place. Dante tried to stop Sonny from going after Ava but he was hellbent on making her pay.
