A weekly column highlighting the Port Charles happenings during the past week on General Hospital. Read below to find out what you missed or to refresh your memory in time for next week.

Monday

Maxie (Kirsten Storms) was in the church talking to the portrait of Sam (Kelly Monaco) about the flowers. “I think she’d approve,” Lucas (Van Hansis) said. Kai (Jens Austin Astrup ) came to see Trina (Tabayana Ali) and asked Josslyn (Eden McCoy) “You think she’d give me the time of day?” Trina answered the question by slamming the door in his face. Jack (Charles Mesure) joined Lucky (Jonathan Jackson) at his table at Bobbie’s. “Do I know you?” Lucky asked. “I’m the man who saved your life,” Jack answered. At GH, Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) told Aiden (Colin Cassidy) she needed to talk with him about his father. Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) told Cody (Josh Kelly) they weren’t much of a family without Sam. “What happened to your face?” Scout asked Drew (Cameron Mathison). Alexis (Nancy Grahan) told Kristina (Kate Mansi) and Molly (Kristen Vaganos) she didn’t think she could do this. Before leaving for Sam’s funeral, Josslyn urged Trina to give him a chance. Kai told Trina he was there to plead his case. Drew lied that he walked into a door. He assured Scout he was okay. But Scout told him if he wasn’t feeling well, they’d go to the doctor. Because he had to keep his promise he’d always be there for her but mom broke it. Lucas told Maxie if he hadn’t been Sam’s surgeon,the day wouldn’t be happening. Molly left the room to try to fix the bracelet Alexis broke that Sam gave her for Mother’s Day. She returned in time to hear Kristina commenting about burying Adela. Maxie accused Lucas of trying to take the easy way out by blaming himself. Elizabeth told Lucas she wanted to prepare him for the possibility of his father leaving town. Aiden said he already knew. Jack introduced himself. Lucky told Jack he had until he finished his coffee to tell him what he wanted because he had to get to a funeral. Scout showed Drew the roses from Lila’s garden she got for her mom. Dante told Cody his grief was all consuming. Kristina tried to explain to her sister what she heard. But Molly just gave Alexis the bracelet she fixed and walked outside where she found Rick (Rick Hearst). Molly hugged her father. Nina entered the Quartermaine mansion. Drew asked her father if she could help make him look more presentable. Danny told Rocco he was going to put Scout’s drawing of their family on their mother’s casket . Rocco and Danny agreed that no matter what anyone said, they were brothers. Kai asked Trina whether she’d turn someone who wanted to learn about art away. Rick gave Molly tickets to a revival of Twelve Angry Men for her birthday and said he hoped he could come with her. Molly said she wouldn’t want to see it with anyone else. TJ (Taj Bellows) Alexis wasn’t happy when she saw Rick with TJ and Molly. “He’s the last person I need to see,” Alexis said. Aiden told Elizabeth even though his dad was leaving, he still had more than Danny, Scout and Rocco. He assured her they’d be fine because they had each other. Jack told Lucas he had a job opportunity for him. But Lucky said working for the WSB always came with string. “And I’m no one’s puppet,” Lucky said. Alexis came outside and thanked TJ for being there. After TJ and Molly left, Alexis ordered Rick off her property. Rick reminded Alexis that although she was burying her daughter, her youngest daughter was very much alive. Dante and Olivia (Lisa LoCierco) remembered Sam. Drew told Nina he wasn’t pressing charges because he promised Sam that he and Jason (Steve Burton) would be there for the kids. Nina told Drew he should be worried about how far Jason would go on Michael’s (Chad Duell) behalf. Kai recited the syllabus and told Trina it proved he could be taught. After her son walked away, Olivia told Cody that Dante would need his good friends to get him through the dark days. Dante would have to find his own way through the grief and all they could do is pick him up when he fell. TJ apologized for forgetting Molly’s birthday. He told her that he was there for anything she needed. Molly thanked TJ and told him although she didn’t say it enough, she loved him. Kristina entered and the sisters hugged. Alexis came back into the house and saw her daughters hugging. Jack told Lucky he and the WSB would be working on getting intel on a new political group that was on the rise. Lucas looked up and saw Elizabeth. “If you give me the chance, I will be the hardest working partner you ever had” Kai said, telling Trina he had a good memory and wasn’t a quitter. Jack left. Lucky told Elizabeth how WSB Station Chief Jack Brennan offered him a job in his neck of the woods in Africa. Rocco overheard Drew telling Nina no one would know Jason hit him. Dante found the perfect photo for the cover of Sam’s guest book. Danny ordered Lucas out of the church, angrily saying he shouldn’t be there. “You’re the one who let my mother die!”

Tuesday

Ava (Maura West) found Lucas (Van Hansis) visiting his father’s grave. Nina (Cynthia Watros) couldn’t believe Jason (Steve Burton) showed up. “Jason needs to be here,” Drew (Cameron Mathison) told Nina. Molly (Kristen Vaganos) came to the altar to share memories of Sam (Kelly Monaco). “Thank you all for being here today to honor my sister Sam,” Molly said. Molly talked about the four Davis girls (her mom, Sam, Kristina and herself) being a force to be reckoned with. She shared the memory of how Sam helped her prepare for her first case as a lawyer by listening to her opening statement. “We will always be Davis women no matter what” Molly concluded. Kristina was up next and talked about the support Sam gave her. “My own personal safety net really,” Kristina said. She concluded by talking about how Sam never judged anyone. Josslyn (Eden McCoy) entered and asked Carly (Laura Wright) “Where’s Lucas?” Ava told Lucas her reasons for not being at Sam’s service and asked “What’s yours?” Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) talked about him being a computer nerd and Sam being a cool leather jacket wearing chick. He thanked Sam for giving him the courage to go after the woman of his dreams and hoped she knew all she did to help when she saw him and Maxie (Kirsten Storms) together. Lucas told Ava that Danny blamed him for Sam’s death. Both Carly and Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) talked about the tumultuous start with Sam and how they grew to be friends. Lucky talked about Sam being a hero and how his family would always be grateful to Sam for saving Lulu’s life. But he regretted that by saving Lulu’s life, Sam lost hers. Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) spoke about how Sam helped him out of a dark place and he was going to take Sam’s advice by taking everything he was going through and be a better person. Lucas told Ava as the surgeon, he was prepared to accept the burden of guilt. Ava commented maybe Lucas should change his last name to Jerome. Rocco spoke about how Sam became a mom to him and gave him his brother and sister (Danny and Scout). He said he planned to teach Danny and Scout the secret handshake Sam taught him because he didn’t want to forget it. Rocco said although Sam and his dad never made it official, they were a family. Jason (Steve Burton) admitted although he wasn’t big on public speaking, he had to let her kids know how important she was to him. He thanked Sam for their years together and for giving him their son. Danny spoke next about how Sam loved to go fast and Chinese food from Noodle Buddha. And she loved leather jackets and said a good one lasts a lifetime. Danny said they’d save his mom’s one for Scout to wear when she was older. He added although he, Scout and Rocco would miss Sam telling them she loved them, they didn’t have to hear it to know it. Ava told Lucas she’d be there for him because that’s what her brother would have wanted. Alexis spoke next. She said she needed her notes because she didn’t want to forget anything and honor Sam the way she deserved. Alexis talked about how she didn’t get to raise Sam and missed her childhood and how it took awhile for them to become mother and daughter. She said she loved Sam as a daughter and as a person…she was her best friend. Alexis thanked Sam for choosing her. Alexis vowed to honor Sam by not grieving long. Gio (Giovanni Mazza) played the violin as everyone left the church. Alexis asked Molly and Kristina to sit with her in the church for a while as she wanted to spend one last time with all her girls. Lulu (Alexa Havins) woke up.

Wednesday

“I don’t want to get Aiden’s hopes up or yours” Lucky (Jonathan Jackson) told Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst). Danny and Jason (Steve Burton) were at the cemetery. Danny put flowers on Baby Girl McCall’s headstone and asked about his mom “Do you think she’s at peace?” Alexis (Nancy Grahan) frantically looked for her daughter’s will and told Molly (Kate Vaganos) she had to know Sam’s (Kelly Monaco) wishes so she could take care of them. Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) returned to the penthouse and found Kristina (Kate Vaganos) packing Sam’s things. He commented how he was looking forward to taking time off to wait on Sam hand and foot while she recovered from surgery. Dante said he made plans for nothing. Lulu woke up. Jason assured Danny his mom was at peace. Danny liked to think there was a Heaven and his mom was with Baby Lila. “I think I hurt someone mom loved very much today” Danny told Jason. Lucky told Elizabeth he wasn’t sure about leaving. Elizabeth was surprised to see Lucas (Van Hansis) at Bobbie’s and wanted to check he was okay because he never made it to the funeral. “I keep thinking is Sam dead because of me,” Dante told Kristina. Molly told Alexis her dad called her as a witness for the defense in Ava’s (Maura West) trial. Lucas told Lucky and Elizabeth him being at the service would have been distracting since he may have been responsible for Sam’s death. Danny told Jason how he got angry seeing Uncle Lucas at the church and told him not to come to the service. Dante told Kristina he put Sam in the position of wanting to help him and Rocco. Molly told Alexis her dad’s strategy of painting Kristina as volatile was one she’d do. Lulu was groggy but heard Cyrus (Jeff Kober) talking with the doctor at Turning Woods about him representing the family by sitting at his niece’s bedside. Lulu remembered a confrontation she had with Cyrus at GH about an article she’d written. She drifted back to sleep. Cyrus entered the room and sat by her bedside, saying he would take care of her as he promised. Kristina assured Dante that Sam weighed the odds and made the decision to be Lulu’s liver donor so it wasn’t his fault. Alexis found Sam’s will and read Sam’s wishes: She named Drew (Cameron Mathison) as Danny and Scout’s legal guardian. Portia (Brooke Kerr) called Lucas and asked him to come to her office because she had the autopsy results. Jack (Charles Mesure) entered Bobbie’s and joined Lucky and Elizabeth at their table. Elizabeth received a text from Portia and had to leave. Jason told Danny he struggled with controlling his emotions. “Is that what happened with you and Uncle Drew?” Danny asked. Alexis told Molly that Sam hadn’t updated her will and it was a couple years old before she and Dante were in a relationship. Kristina reminded Dante if Sam hadn’t been Lulu’s liver donor, he might have been burying Lulu. Cyrus told the doctor he wanted to be the one to tell his family about his niece’s improvement as to manage their expectations. Portia told Lucas the autopsy report showed Sam didn’t die from surgical error. Then, she gave him the toxicology report to read. Alexis and Molly knew Jason wouldn’t want Drew to have custody of Danny and Scout. Danny told Jason that Unce Drew wasn’t the only one hurt because of their fight. Elizabeth arrived at GH and before Lucas had a chance to warn her, Portia called her into her office. Alexis told Molly she was prepared to fight in court to uphold Sam’s wishes. After Danny told him Scout was upset when she saw Drew’s face, Jason promised his son it would never happen again and said his mom would be proud of him for holding him accountable. Lulu got out of bed but fell to the floor when she tried to walk. Dante got an alert about Ava’s trial. Both he and Kristina were called by the prosecution to testify and vowed to do everything they could to put Ava away. Lucas called Lucky and told him that Elizabeth may need him after her meeting with Portia adding she could be in trouble. Portia told Elizabeth that the toxicology report revealed Sam died from an overdose of digitalis. She told Elizabeth there would be an investigation of the OR nursing team and a union rep could be available if Nurse Baldwin wanted. Lulu was determined to get her weak legs to work so she could get out of there.

Thursday

Dex (Evan Hofer) introduced himself to Kai (Jens Austin Astrup ) and told him they had someone in common “Trina Robinson.” Josslyn (Eden McCoy) and Trina were at Bobbie’s. Trina complained Kai was late. Jordan (Tabayana Ali) came to GH to spend time with TJ (Taj Bellows). Michael (Chad Duell) told Sasha (Sofia Mattsson) he was there “Because I can’t go home.” Sonny (Maurice Benard) and Kristina (Kate Mansi) had a pasta dinner. Kristina worried she would mess up her testimony at Ava’s (Maura West) trial. Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) told Chase (Josh Swickward) he was packing up some things for him and the kids to stay at the Quartermaines but if it was up to him, he’d never leave his place. “This is the last place where my whole family was together.” Drew (Cameron Mathison) came to Miller & Davis at Alexis’ (Nancy Grahan). She asked who did that to his face as Jason (Steve Burton) entered. Josslyn urged Trina to give Kai a chance and called her friend a control freak. Dex told Kai his girlfriend was Josslyn Jaks. He told Kai he was a rookie with the PCPD. Kai suggested he and Dex spar in the boxing ring. Sonny asked Kristina to work for him. Alexis told Drew and Jason if they loved Sam (Kelly Monaco) they’d hear her out and told them it was about Sam’s will “And what she wanted for Danny and Scout.” Kristina didn’t think she was qualified to work for any of his businesses. Sonny suggested she work at Cornithos Coffee. Kristina said she’d think about it. TJ told Jordan he and Alexis both forgot Molly’s (Kristen Vaganos) birthday yesterday. Dante told Chase he changed his will to give Sam custody of Rocco if anything happened to him. But because he wasn’t Danny or Scout’s father, he guessed he and Rocco would have to find a place to live. Drew and Jason read Sam’s will. Drew commented how he and Sam talked about him having custody of Danny. Jason questioned the date of the will. Alexis told Jason the law was on his side. But as Sam wanted the kids to stay together, Alexis asked what Jason was going to do. “I don’t know what kind of home or what kind of marriage I have left anymore” Michael told Sasha. Kai and Dex sparred in the boxing room. Kai offered Dex comp tickets for him and Josslyn to see a football game. Dex called Kai a pretty cool guy. Josslyn told Trina she could always depend on her. “Just give Kai a chance. Maybe he’ll come through for you” Josslyn told Trina. “I think it’s a major mistake for you to move out,” Chase told Dante. Jason told Alexis it wasn’t about what he, Drew or even Sam wanted. It was about what Danny wanted and he was old enough to say where he wanted to live. And if Danny chose to live with him, Jason said his son was welcome. Alexis commented on the animosity between Drew and Jason and the bruises on their faces that was obviously from a fight. She said if they ever loved her daughter they’d cut the crap and start talking. Josslyn went to sit at the counter when Kai entered. He apologized to Trina for being late, explaining he hadn’t counted for traffic and had to go back home to get his laptop. Kristina entered Bobbie’s and sat at the counter next to Josslyn, who asked how she was doing. Kristina told Josslyn she owed her an apology. TJ told Jordan how Rick (Rick Hearst) and Kristina, two of the most self-centered people he knew, remembered Molly’s birthday when he didn’t. But TJ vowed to make it up to Molly. Chase told Dante to think of staying at the Quartermaines for a while. Drew and Jason admitted they fought and what they told their kids. But Drew and Jason agreed the cause of the fight was between them. Before leaving, Jason said he’d fight for his son’s right to choose where he wanted to live. Michael told Sasha about Drew and Willow (Katelyn MacMuellen) sleeping, but added he wouldn’t confront them because then he’d have to tell them about them (he and Sasha) sleeping together. Michael told Sasha if he told Willow they’d slept together, he’d keep her name out of it. “I appreciate that because I really need this job,” Sasha said. Michael told Sasha she confided in Jason because he needed someone to talk with. Sasha believed Willow loved Michael but also had feelings for Drew. Alexis suggested to Drew an alternative to Sam’s will that “Danny and Scout live with me. Jason told Sonny about Sam’s will and vowed Drew wouldn’t raise his son. Kai and Trina discussed the timelines for their art history project. Kai told Trina how he composed a list of books they needed at 3:45 in the morning when he couldn’t sleep. Kristina thanked Josslyn for saving her life after she fell out the window of Ava’s hotel room. They vowed they’d get justice for Morgan (Bryan Craig). “Besides we can all use a little bit of love in our lives” Kristina told Josslyn she was glad she and Dex were back together. Josslyn said as Kai and Trina left Bobbie’s. Kai told Trina he bought a few of the books they needed. TJ told Jordan about the bruises on Drew and Jason’s faces. “But no matter what, I’m going to protect my family,” Michael told Sasha. Chase told Dante he’d see him at home. Drew told Alexis they both knew what type of father Jason was. He also told her that Scout needed to live with her father. Sonny told Jason he had his back in whatever he decided. But if it were him, he wouldn’t let his son live with Drew.

Friday

Mac (John J. York), Felicia (Kristina Wagner) and Sasha (Sofia Mattsson) had breakfast at Bobbie’s. Mac gave Sasha a letter “It’s from your dad.” Trina (Tabayana Ali) was playing her music and dancing and didn’t see Gio (Gio Mazza) enter. Michael (Chad Duell) told Curtis (Donnell Turner) his days of being CEO of Aurora were temporary. Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) made the kids french toast. Jason (Steve Burton) entered. TJ (Taj Bellows) told Stella (Vernee Watson) being at the trial was the last place he should be. Ava (Maura West) asked Rick to be honest and asked what he thought her chances of winning was. At the courthouse, Molly (Kristen Vaganos) and Kristina (Kate Mansi) said they’d get justice for their daughter. Sasha read Robert’s letter. Jason suggested Danny help Scout play her game. He told Dante he wanted to talk with him first and told him about Sam (Kelly Monaco) giving Drew (Cameron Mathison) custody of Danny. Jason told Dante he wanted to let Danny make the decision where he wanted to live. Rick told Ava he had to win the case for his daughter. Stella told TJ that Molly may want him at the trial but didn’t say it because she knew he didn’t want to go. Dante told Jason that Danny would be honest with him. Scout tried to carry the game and art supplies because she wanted to make Thanksgiving decorations but ended up dropping everything and spilling paint on the floor. Both Trina and Gio were called to testify at Ava’s trial. Gio told Trina it’s okay she’s supporting Ava as her friend. Kristina told Molly she had to do what she could to win. Rick told Ava he had to make sure Molly knew justice wasn’t needed because the fall was an accident. Sasha told Mac and Felicia how it was growing up with Holly (Emma Samms) as a mother. Michael told Curtis how Drew offered him the CEO position to placate him because he was involved with his wife. Michael said Drew was using Curtis and suggested they work together to push him out of Aurora. Stella convinced TJ that he needed to be with Molly at the courthouse. Michael tried to get Curtis to see his way of thinking about Drew and said he’d wait for his call. Molly was glad when TJ showed up at the courthouse. Seeing how well Danny, Rocco and Scout worked together to clean up the mess, Dante and Jason told them that because it was important they stayed together they were moving into the Quartermaine mansion. Ava and Rick entered the courtroom. Sasha thanked Mac and Felicia for welcoming her into the family and told them if she came to dinner, she’d never bring a store bought dessert. After she left Bobbie’s, Sasha pulled out a pregnancy test.
