A weekly column highlighting the Port Charles happenings during the past week on General Hospital. Read below to find out what you missed or to refresh your memory in time for next week.

Monday

“Thank you for agreeing with me. We’ve got some urgent matters to discuss” Drew (Cameron Mathison) told Michael (Chad Duell). Curtis (Donnell Turner) left a voicemail for Drew. After the nurse left the room, Lulu (Alexa Havins) got out of bed and tried to walk. Alexis (Nancy Grahan) and Sonny (Maurice Benard) arrived at the courthouse. Alexis reminded Kristina (Kate Mansi) what they talked about for her to keep her composure and not let Rick (Rick Hearst) rattle her. Trina (Tabayana Ali) was the only person who sat on Ava’s side of the courtroom. Judge Chann entered the bench and the case of The People vs. Ava Jerome (Maura West) began. Jordan (Tanisha Harper) entered Volonino’s Gym and offered to be a sounding board for Curtis. He told her he believed someone close to him was keeping a secret from him and told her it was Drew. Drew told Michael if they were going to get past this they needed to have a truthful conversation about Willow (Katelyn MacMullen). Lulu overheard Cyrus (Jeff Kober) talking with the doctor about having her transferred to a long term care facility in South Carolina. She got back into bed before Cyrus entered the room. He whispered to her not to worry, he’s taken care of everything. The ADA gave her opening statement about Ava pushing Kristina Cornithos-Davis out of a window and she fell three stories into the pool. Rick gave his opening statement and concluded that Baby Irene Ashford-Davis would be alive today if not for the actions of her surrogate mother and by the time this trial was over, they’d known beyond a shadow of a doubt. Drew apologized for what happened between him and Willow. He said he hoped in time, Michael would forgive him. Drew lied that it was one time and vowed to make it up to him. Natalia (Eva LaRue) testified about seeing Kristina fall. Gio (Giovanni Mazza) testified about lifeguard Josslyn Jaks (Eden McCoy) asking him to grab the backboard. Josslyn continued explaining the medical actions she performed and how she was concerned because she knew Kristina was pregnant. Trina testified about looking up and seeing Ava looking down at the pool and then closing the curtains. On cross examination, Rick asked Trina her distance from the window. Cyrus was asked to leave so the nurses could see to Lulu. They turned her on her side and did something with the sheet and mattress. When they left to grab a coffee, Lulu made her escape. Dr. Navarro testified how she was Kristina’s ObGYN and had foreseen a healthy delivery for both the baby and Kristina. Dr. Park testified next about the placenta abrasion Kristina suffered from the fall and the baby died from blunt force trauma. Rick crossed asking Dr. Park whether he noticed any defensive wounds on Kristina that would consist of a push. Dr. Park said it was hard to say. After Dr. Park stepped down, Ava asked Rick when he was going to start being the attorney to save her. Rick said with the next witness: Kristina. Curtis told Jordan how Michael told him Drew planned to make Michael CEO of Aurora and push him back down to head of the wellness center. Michael accepted Drew’s offer and got him to admit he was offering him the position to make it up to him and that Curtis was okay for interim CEO but Michael was the future of Aurora. Lulu offered the doctor telling the nurse she was being transferred to South Carolina. The prosecution called Kristina as the next witness. Jordan assured Curtis that once Drew spoke with him, he’d straighten it out. Michael recorded Drew on his cell phone saying he never intended for Curtis to be permanent CEO, adding Michael was family and came first. Lulu pulled the fire alarm. When everyone went to investigate, Lulu took the nurse’s clothes and bag and left Turning Woods. Kristina testified about how happy she was while pregnant. She told the ADA she was ready to talk about what Ava did to her. Cyrus asked to see his niece. He was told because the fire alarm went off, they had to do a bed check first. Lulu put on the nurse’s clothes and put a rubber band in her hair and the hood of the sweat jacket up. Kristina testified how she came to Ava’s hotel room to ask her to remove her from the list to testify against her father in the custody case. Kristina said Ava refused then grabbed her and pushed her out the window. Michael told Drew they had a deal and shook hands. After Drew left the room, Michael called Curtis and played the recording in which Drew admitted he was never going to choose Curtis over him. “You and I can change this. All you have to do is say the word. Are you in?” Michael asked Curtis. Lulu saw headlights and flagged down the car and said she needed help. Kristina testified about waking up in the ambulance, seeing Josslyn then everything going blank and how the next thing was the doctor telling her the baby didn’t make it but she knew. Rick asked whether Kristina needed a moment then said he’d be brief and asked “Why are you lying?”

Tuesday

Rick (Rick Hearst) reserved the right to recall Kristina (Kate Mansi). Ava (Maura West) asked Rick what he was doing. Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) entered the courtroom. Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) met with Lucky (Jonathan Jackson) at Bobbie’s. Elizabeth told Lucky she was the focus of GH’s inquiry into Sam’s (Kelly Monaco) death. Cody (Josh Kelly) picked up Lulu (Alexa Havins) in her car. Sasha (Sofia Mattsson) came to Maxie’s (Kirsten Storms) house to talk and told her she may be pregnant. Alexis (Nancy Grahan) told Sonny (Maurice Benard) that Rick would recall Kristina when it worked for him. Sonny wondered what Rick was up to. Sasha told Maxie about her one night stand with someone after drinking at The Brown Dog Bar. She told Maxie she brought a pregnancy text but hadn’t taken it yet. Lulu lied to Cody that she had a fight with her now ex-boyfriend who kicked her out of his car and left her on the side of the road. Lulu said she left her coat in his car. Cody told Lulu he was picking up horse feed in Breecher’s Corner. But home with Port Charles. Lulu said she was from Port Charles. Cody gave Lulu a watermelon lollipop to eat. Dante took the stand and gave an account of questioning Ava after Kristina’s accident. Rick questioned Dante about his opinion of Ava as a mother to paint a picture of bias against his client. After the questioning, the prosecution case rested. Ava asked Rick whether he planned to represent her anytime soon. Rick told Ava the prosecution had their turn but now it was his turn. Lucky reminded Elizabeth how good of an investigator he used to be and vowed to find out the truth of how Sam died. Lucky received a phone call from the administrator of Turning Wood who told him his sister Lulu was missing. Sasha told Maxie she wouldn’t mind being a single mother but worried if she had a baby the same thing that happened to Liam could happen to the baby. James came downstairs. He had a cut on his arm from falling because he tried to reach the door without touching the floor, saying the floor was lava. Maxie put a bandaid on her son’s arm. Afterwards, Sasha took the pregnancy test. Lulu told Cody about her protective brother but added she could protect herself. She asked the month and day and commented how she had a boy and girl and couldn’t wait to see her children. Lulu had Cody drop her off somewhere because she didn’t want to give a stranger her home address. Cody gave Lulu twenty dollars and his information in case she wanted to pay him back or needed him. Kristina testified how Ava killed Connie Falconieri and tampered with her brother Morgan’s bipolar medication, which led to his death. But Rick told the court his client was never tried for the crimes she was accused. Lucky and Elizabeth came to Turning Woods and the hospital administrator told them Cyrus (Jeff Kober) was the last person who saw his sister before she disappeared. Lulu arrived at her house and got the key from under the mat. Sasha got the results of her pregnancy test. “I’m pregnant,” she told Maxie. Rick badgered Kristina on the stand and said she was responsible for the baby’s death.

Wednesday

Lois (Rena Sofer), Olivia (Lisa LoCierco) and Gio (Giovanni Mazza) laughed when Chase (Josh Swickward) and Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) rushed upstairs on the pretext of seeing a movie. Sasha (Sofia Mattsson) couldn’t believe she was pregnant from a one night stand. Lucky (Jonathan Jackson) was angry that a violent criminal like Cyrus Renault (JeffKober) had access to his sister. ”Who are you?” James asked Lulu (Alexa Havins). “Who are you? And what are you doing in my house?” Lulu asked. When Rick (Rick Hearst) accused Kristina (Kate Mansi) of protecting her father over her niece and being the reason Irene Ashford-Davis was dead, Alexis (Nancy Grahan) stood up and said “That’s enough Rick…leave her alone.” Judge Chann threatened to have Alexis arrested and held in contempt if she didn’t leave. Alexis and Sonny (Maurice Benard) left the courtroom. Judge Chann called a fifteen minute recess. Rick told Ava (Maura West) he wanted the jury to see how reckless Kristina was. Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) comforted Kristina and assured the jury believed the truth and she said hers. Molly (Kristen Vaganos) told TJ (Taj Bellows) that Kristina would never forgive herself if Ava were found not guilty. Alexis told Sonny to go back inside the courtroom to support their daughter. Maxie assured Sasha she wasn’t alone. Both James and Lulu insisted it was their house. James yelled for his mom “Stranger danger!” Lucky accused the administrator of Turning Woods of being incompetent for not only allowing his sister to disappear but for Cyrus being allowed access to her. He demanded to look at the security footage. Cyrus’ guy at Turning Woods called him and told him his nephew was there and was angry and his niece was missing. Maxie accused James of making up the strange woman that was in the house. But then, she discovered the loose doorknob and the spare key missing. Rick called Natalia (Eva LaRue) to the stand and questioned her about her November 11th car accident. Before Sasha left, Maxie reminded her she wasn’t alone and told her they’d talk tomorrow. When Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) came home and Maxie told him about James’ claim of a strange woman being in the house, he told her he had a way to get to the bottom of this. Lucky stormed into The Port Charles Grill and demanded Cyrus tell him where Lulu was. Brook Lynn told Chase she didn’t want them to lose themselves in their efforts to have a baby. Lois and Olivia talked about Chase and Brook Lynn making Lois a grandmother. Lulu found Gio playing his guitar at the boathouse. Natalia said she was to blame for the car accident, saying she looked down for a second because she got a text from her daughter. She testified she and Kristina declined going to the hospital and calling Kristina’s father Sonny. Rick called Molly to the stand. Spinelli pulled up the footage outside the house from the security camera he installed. He and Maxie watched a woman take the spare key and open the door. James was excited when Spinelli said they’d contact the police and have James look at photos to identify the woman. Lulu learned Gio was invited to stay at the Quartermaines because of Lois. Molly testified about being with Kristina when she received the subpoena and how Kristina didn’t want to testify for Ava in the custody case and how Molly urged her sister to not go to Ava’s. Chase told Brook Lynn how much he looked forward to seeing her with a baby bump. Cyrus reminded Lucky how he’s been away for a decade and urged him to try spending more than a month with his son. Ava testified about the confrontation and added she would never harm a baby because she wouldn’t want a mother to feel the loss she did when her daughter was murdered. James pointed out Lulu’s picture in a photo album as the woman who was in their house, much to Maxie and Spinelli’s surprise. The ADA and Rick gave their closing statements. TJ asked Molly what she thought. Molly answered she thought this was a tragedy. Turning Woods sent over the security footage to his cell phone. Lucky and Elizabeth saw Lulu steal the nurse’s bag and clothes. “She’s awake,” Lucky said, shocked. Lulu entered the Quartermaine mansion and looked around the drawing room. “Mom?” Rocco said shocked. “Rocco” Lulu responded, surprised by how much older her son was.

Thursday

Carly (Laura Wright) told Jason (Steve Burton) things were better having him back home. Cody (Josh Kelly) was surprised to see James at the stables. James was upset because Grandpa Mac (John J. York) said he couldn’t take lessons with him anymore. He told Cody and Tracy (Jane Eliott) he took a rideshare to get there. Josslyn (Eden McCoy) gave Trina (Tabyana Ali) the turtledove figurine she found in their place. Laura (Genie Francis) visited with Lulu when Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) entered. James told Cody and Tracy he stole Georgie’s phone to order the rideshare and had climbed out of his bedroom window. Jason told Carly he couldn’t live with the thought of her paying for something because of him and Sonny (Maurice Benard). “You’re cut out for a lot of things. But mob boss shouldn’t be one of them” Jason said. Trina told Josslyn the turtledove was a gift from Spencer (Nichloas Chavez) and how they were a pair. Dante told Laura it was a good thing raising her grandson. Maxie (Kristen Storms) scolded James for sneaking out and coming to the stables. He wanted to know why Grandpa Mac said he couldn’t take riding lessons there anymore. Maxie told James that was a conversation for another day but she was the one who had to say where he took riding lessons. Trina told Josslyn that they gave the turtle doves to each other so she and Spencer would know they’d always be thinking about each other. Dante commented about how Laura threw Lulu tea parties on the kitchen floor. He commented how Lulu was a great mom because of Laura. Jason said Sonny’s problems came down to two words: John Cates (Adam Harrington). Maxie, Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) and James came home. Georgie warned James not to take her phone again. “Something’s weird is going on that nobody’s saying,” James said. Sasha (Sofia Mattsson) came to the stables after getting a text from Cody. Tracy found Gio (Giovanni Mazzo) in the kitchen eating a sandwich. Maxie told James that Grandpa Mac was going through something which was why he had to take riding lessons somewhere else. Cody told Sasha what happened with James. Dante wondered whether Rocco coming to see Lulu was doing him more harm than good. Trina told Josslyn how she felt guilt for being mad with Spencer sometimes for leaving her. Tracy joined Gio while she was having her tea. Gio told Tracy what he thought were the best places in New York. Jason commented Cates has hated Sonny for a long time but never had an opening before but now he does. Maxie told Spinelli she lost a sibling once and wouldn’t again. She said Mac could forgive Cody for this. Sasha told Cody she didn’t think he was about to be banished from James’ left because Maxie and James had faith in him. Tracy told Gio about the beautiful garden Lila (Anna Lee) donated to Port Charles. “Maybe you can show me sometimes,” Gio said. “Maybe I can,” Tracy said. Trina assured Josslyn she could talk about Spencer and she wouldn’t feel badly. Laura told Dante that Rocco was old enough to decide what felt right so he could decide about visiting his mom. Carly told Jason they made a good team. “Nobody wants to be in a situation like this. But if I had to be in one, I am so so grateful that I get to be in one with you” Carly told Jason. “Me too,” Jason said.
