A weekly column highlighting the Port Charles happenings during the past week on General Hospital. Read below to find out what you missed or to refresh your memory in time for next week.

Monday

“Here’s hoping the ER’s quiet tonight” Isaiah (Sawandi Wilson). “I just need to be alone,” Trina (Tabyana Ali) told Kai (Jens Austin Astrup) when he knocked on her door and asked whether she was okay. “Granny, what are you up to?” Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) asked Tracy (Jane Eliott). Martin (Michael E. Knight) told Laura (Genie Francis) that things were starting to look up for their family. Jason (Steve Burton) came to see Sonny (Maurice Benard). Carly (Laura Wright) enjoyed the good champagne, unaware that Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) was outside Jack’s (Chris L. McKenna) hotel room. Jason told Sonny that Valentin sent the text pretending to be Charlotte (Scarlett Fernandez) expecting Lulu (Alexa Havins) to come and bring her daughter home. Sonny commented now the family could heal. Tracy questioned Chase (Josh Swickward) for arresting her, saying he was supposed to be family. Gio (Giovanni Mazza) said maybe the law could work for Tracy. Kai told Trina he’d be there when she decided she didn’t want to be alone. He put a gift bag on the floor. Trina opened the door. Anna (Finola Hughes) and a federal marshall arrived at Laura’s door. Anna told Laura the marshal was there to serve an arrest warrant for Martin Grey. Carly told Jack she was glad she showed up tonight. Brook Lynn thanked everyone for being patient with Tracy. Gio said he respected Tracy trying to protect her family. Anna explained that he was being extradited to California for being in arrears with alimony payments. Trina told Kai about not celebrating her birthday last year because her boyfriend Spencer (Nicholas Chavez) died in January and by the time her birthday came around, her pain was still fresh. Trina said she was surprised by the party and enjoyed celebrating with her family and friends. But then when she opened Emma’s (Braedyn Bruner) gift, everything came back. Trina showed Kai the art book. He read the inscription from Spencer then said “Tell me about him.” Sonny told Jason that Sidwell (Carlos Rota) wouldn’t be stupid to come after his family. Jack noticed a mark behind the label of the champagne bottle and knocked the glass out of Carly’s hand. Carly said she didn’t feel well and collapsed on the floor. Valentin walked away. Sonny and Jason brainstormed who’d come after him. Since the explosive was intelligence grade, Sonny asked Jason whether Brennan could be involved. Jack called for an ambulance and explained about the poison Carly ingested and said her stomach needed to be pumped. Trina told Kai about how Spencer could be arrogant but used it to protect his heart, adding they didn’t have to protect their hearts from each other. Gio told Sasha (Sofia Mattsson) when the baby got there, she’d be a real part of the Quartermaine family. Brook Lynn commented to Chase that until last night, she thought she had more in common with her grandmother Gloria (Ellen Travolta). When Tracy arrived at Laura’s on the pretense of saying hello to Lulu, Martin accused her of being behind this arrest. “Of course I am,” Tracy smiled. Carly was rushed into the ER of GH. Jack explained to Isaiah that Carly injected poison. Isaiah asked Nurse Corninthos whether she was okay. Carly was taken into Trauma One. Jack made a call requesting two agents and a lab tech to GH for poison identification. Sonny told Jason to take care of Sasha. Brook Lynn told Chase how her mother told her grandmother about her baby and how Lulu found notes from when her mother talked to Martin Grey about her baby. Laura asked Tracy what they needed to do to make this go away (the charges against Martin). Trina told Kai about the Esme (Avery Kristen Pohl) saga and how Spencer died saving her life. Jack gave the agents instructions and pulled rank when Willow wanted to tell Carly’s family she was there. Laura reminded Tracy that Martin was advocating for his client, but Drew (Cameron Mathison) was the driving force behind this. Brook Lynn told Chase the relationships she thought she had with her mother and grandmother weren’t what she thought they were. Brook Lynn realized she was doing the same thing to Chase by keeping a secret from him. Kai told Trina as Spencer was a part of her, he wanted to know about him. It was like that painting she showed him that had both light and dark. Kai said he wanted to know both light and dark parts of her. Kai handed Trina her birthday gift and told her she didn’t have to open it now and could open it when she was ready. He thanked her for telling him about Spencer then left. Trina opened the gift bag and smiled when she saw the framed photo of them at the gallery. Laura tried to hush Martin as he talked about rich families thinking they could do anything. Tracy said she was done and left. Martin was arrested. Brook Lynn told Chase that Dante was the father of her child. Anna arrived at Gh. Jack told her Carly ingested polonium. The doctors worked to save Carly’s life. Valentin picked the lock of his old house. He grabbed a box containing passports for him and Charlotte (Valentin’s read Will Cortlandt, a shoutout to James Patrick Stuart former All My Children character and Charlotte’s read Melanie Cortlandt). “Forget something?” Sonny asked, pointing his gun at Valentin.

Tuesday

“Forget something? What’s the matter Valentin, cat got your tongue?” Sonny (Maurice Benard) asked as he pointed his gun at Valentin (James Patrick Stuart). When Jack (Chris L. McKenna) told her Carly (Laura Wright) had polonium poisoning, Anna (Finla Hughes) called Robin (Kimberly McCullough) and put her on the phone with Isaiah (Sawandi Wilson) explaining her daughter developed the cure. “Good morning sleepy head” Marco (Andre Anchondo) greeted Lucas (Van Hansis). Vaugh (Bryce Dufee) told Josslyn (Eden McCoy) if she couldn’t hack it, she should go home. Sasha (Sofia Mattsson) told Jason (Steve Burton) that Michael (Chad Duell) was in danger. Chase (Josh Swickward) told Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) her having a baby with Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) was something they’d never have. Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) brought over pizza and told Lulu (Alexa Havins) both their kids were home. Valentin apologized for the intrusion, explaining he was picking up something he left behind. But Sonny said he was a trespassing fugitive. Brad (Parry Shen) called Stella (Vernee Watson) and asked for her help saying he ruined everything. Marco explained to Lucas how he was sick when they got back to the room and he threw up on him which was why Marco was coming out of the shower. Brook Lynn tells Chase how she got pregnant by Dante and that Cody (Josh Kelly) knew. Chase commented about her, him and Cody knowing but not Dante, the baby’s father. Vaughn told Josslyn this was her life now. Sasha told Jason if Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) found out she was having Michael’s baby, she’d seek full custody. Anna told Jack they’d better pray that the WSB’s lab techs could synthesize the antidote in time. Valentin told Sonny he tampered with his medication under orders from Jack Brennan and it was just business. Sonny understood but didn’t care. Stella told Brad maybe someday he and Lucas could be friends. Brook Lynn explained how she thought Dante’s mother would force her to make the same choice she did and raise her baby. She added Lulu told her she had a son. Chase asked Brook Lynn whether she loved Dante. Lulu asked Dante whether Rocco (Finn Carter) could come to live with her and Charlotte (Scarlett Fernandez). Dante told Lult that was asking a lot and not only for him, but for Rocco. Sonny told Valentin that Diane (Carloyn Henessy) would have no problem convincing a jury he shot an intruder who broke into his house and that Lulu and Dante would be better off without him. Valentin commented Michael wouldn’t. Isaiah was able to stabilize Carly until the antidote was ready. Jack asked Isaiah whether he could see Carly. After Dr. Gannon left the room, Jack sadly told Carly he was afraid something like this would happen. “What I’m really asking is, how you doing now?” Marco asked Lucas. Brad misunderstood what Stella was trying to say. Brook Lynn told Chase she didn’t know what real love was until she met him. Chase asked whether she was trying to get back with Dante when Carly paid her to break Lulu and Dante up. Sasha asked Jason whether he’d be okay keeping it from Carly that the baby was her grandchild. Valentin told Sonny he knew who planted the incendiary device. “Put down that gun and we can talk,” Valentin told Sonny. Marco assured Lucas he wasn’t sorry he met him. Jason told Sasha he hated not telling Carly the truth, but for now they had to keep it a secret from her. Sasha admitted a part of her wished Michael was there for the sonogram. She showed Jason the sonogram photo. Brook Lynn told Chase a part of her did it for the money and the other part was she thought Lulu was wrong for Dante. Lulu asked Dante whether it made her a selfish jerk like Drew (Cameron Mathison) to want her son to live with her. Vaughn told Josslyn nothing about her life will be real and it will be easier to cut people out of her life. Josslyn asked whether that’s what he did in order to break people (like her) down. Valentin told Sonny the device was made specifically for the WSB and used by a hitman hired to kill Sonny. Although Valentin didn’t have a name, he told Sonny he could make contact with the buyer. Isaiah asked for the defibrillators to be charged at two hundred when Carly suddenly went into cardiac arrest. Dante told Lulu their son needed both his parents. Brook Lynn told Chase until their son came looking for his parents she wouldn’t torture Dante with knowing he had a child. Lucas asked Marco for his phone number. Josslyn told Vaughn even if she missed important moments in her loved ones lives, she’d know she was doing something important and keeping them safe. Valentin told Sonny the hitman’s name was Zelinsky and he’d come back to finish the job since it wasn’t done. Sonny allowed Valentin to walk out of his house. Jack was given the antidote and rushed in and gave it to Isaiah. “Don’t forget to call me,” Marco told Lucas. “I won’t,” Lucas promised. Brad was in the hall and saw Marco leaving Lucas’ room. “If it were me, I’d wanna know,” Chase told Brook Lynn. “Chase you have to promise me, Dante will never know about our baby” Brook Lynn asked Chase. Valentin arrived at Laura’s apartment and started to know on the door. “Bring it on” Josslyn said when Vaughn told her she’d be tested everyday she was an agent. Jack asked for a moment alone with Carly. Sasha asked Jason if there was any way Michael could get a copy of the sonogram without anyone knowing. “I’ll arrange it” Jason said before taking a phone call from Anna who told him “You need to get to General Hospital now…it’s Carly.” Jack told Carly something no one else knew. “I do have a heart. It’s all yours” Jack said. Carly woke up.

Wednesday

Nina (Cynthia Watros) came to see Willow (Katelyn MacMuellen) at GH and told her she thought she should consider moving in with Drew (Cameron Mathison). Tracy (Jane Eliott) told Drew his attorney was on his way out of town with a federal marshal. Her accountant Seymour told Ava (Maura West) she was broke. At the PCPD, Molly (Kristen Vaganos) told Alexis (Nancy Grahan) Cody (Josh Kelly) was being arrested for grand theft auto. Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) came to see his father and told Sonny (Maurice Benard) he thought he might have made a big mistake. Laura (Genie Francis) caught Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) using a lock pick and said “You’re not taking Charlotte with you.” Molly and Alexis argued over who should recuse themselves from Cody’s case. Rick (Rick Hearst) entered the PCPD and asked Alexis why don’t she recuse herself. Carly (Laura Wright) woke up and asked Jack (Chris L. McKenna) what happened. Seymour told Ava she’ll have to change her lifestyle. Dante told Sonny how Lulu (Alexa Havins) wanted Rocco (Finn Carter) to live with her and Charlotte (Scarlett Fernandez). Isaiah (Sawandi Wilson) told Carly she’d been poisoned. Jack accused Anna (Finola Hughes) of calling Carly’s ex-husband because Sonny’s called him. Jack called Sonny back. Sonny told him the person of interest he’s been looking for was in town and would be taking a private boat on Pier 55. Laura encouraged Valentin to turn himself in to the police and she’d use her resources to protect him. Drew didn’t seem too concerned about Martin (Michael E. Knight) and told Tracy he could get an attorney who’d fight her harder. Nina tried to convince Willow to wait before moving in with Drew. Seymour took all but one of Ava’s credit cards and told her she had to stick to her credit limit. After he left Cafe Cherie, Ava ordered what was on tap instead of her usual martini. Cody told Rick, Molly and Alexis that he’d been arrested for stealing his own car. Jason rushed into Carly’s hospital room. Since she didn’t want to argue about Jack, Jason said he wouldn’t but was glad she was okay. When Sonny admitted to calling Brennan to let him know Valentin was in town, Anna called him a bastard knowing Jack would kill Valentin. The mess with Cody stealing his own car was straightened out. Cody pulled Rick out of the PCPD and told him how much her parents arguing was hurting Molly. Rick warned Cody he wouldn’t be Molly’s rebound. Willow walked in as Drew commented about Tracy’s interred family members not caring about their final resting place being removed. “What have you gotten yourself into?” Sonny asked with a smile when he came to see Carly. Jason and Sonny talked in the hall outside Carly’s room. Jason told Sonny how Valentin poisoned Carly in an attempt to kill Brennan. Sonny told Jason about Anna and Brennan knowing Valentin was going to be on Pier 55, adding for Jason to make sure Brennan finished the job. Nina called Ava and met her at Cafe Cherie and brought an expensive bottle of wine to celebrate Drew’s hold on Willow weakening. Willow told Tracy if she had just accepted Drew into the family, he would have been the most loyal. Lulu called Dante and told him how Valentin was there and was in trouble. Dante told her they were trying to find Valentin. Anna called Jack and left a voicemail for him not to go after Valentin. On Pier 55, Valentin waited for his boat when Jack appeared from the shadows. “End of the line, old friend,” Jack said pointing his gun at Valentin.

Thursday

Lulu (Alexa Havins) told Laura (Genie Francis) it was time she and the kids got their own place. Sonny (Maurice Benard) told Donna she’ll be staying with him for awhile because her mom was in the hospital. “We don’t see many cases of polonium poisoning, unless of course we’re dealing with the WSB” Felicia (Kristina Wagner) told Carly (Laura Wright). Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) told Lois (Rena Sofer) she told Chase (Josh Swickward) everything. At the PCPD, Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) told Chase he understood why Valentin risked everything to see Charlotte (Scarlett Fernandez). “What father wouldn’t” Dante said. Jason (Steve Burton) showed up on Pier 55 and hid in the shadows, watching Jack (Chris L. McKenna) and Valentin’s (James Patrick Stuart) altercation. “Your poison champagne nearly almost killed Carly. Instead all you did was seal your own fate” Jack told Valentin. Laura understood why Lulu wanted to move out. Lulu was excited about getting her own place. Chase asked Dante whether he thought it might have been better given everything that was happening with Valentin, if Lulu never knew about Charlotte. Lois told Brook Lynn she gave Chase a terrible burden by telling him the truth. Sonny told Donna that mommy drank something she shouldn’t and said they’d go to see her after school tomorrow. Donna told Sonny she loved him and mommy so much she never wanted anything to happen to them. Felicia reminded Carly that the danger with the WSB was never ending. Jason left his hiding place when he saw car headlights. Valentin taunted Jack for falling for Carly Spencer, insinuating she was no Anna Devane (Finola Hughes). Jason faced Anna. Laura assured Lulu she’d make up for lost time with her kids. Sonny called Laura and asked her to come by his place because there was something important he needed to tell her and couldn’t leave because Donna was there. Dante told Chase that Lulu’s life was so much better with Charlotte in it. Jason grabbed Anna’s arm and told her to let Brennan handle Valentin. Anna said it was because Valentin almost killed Carly then demanded Jason let go of her. Valentin commented how he tried to kill him in Germany because of what happened in Prague and because of Charlotte. And now Jack was trying to kill him because of Carly. Suddenly, Jason and Anna appeared. Anna ordered Jack to drop the gun. Sonny told Laura that Valentin was the reason he called her there. Dante came to GH to take Carly’s statement. Carly asked Felicia to stay. Dante asked Carly what she was doing with Jack Brennan. Anna asked Jack to spare Valentin and let him stand trial in a court of law for the friends they once were. Chase told Lulu he wasn’t there to protect her family. “I’m here to protect mine,” Chase said. Brook Lynn told Lois she’s wondering if she could ever trust her again. Jack lowered his gun and said he was going to wait to see if Anna kept her word and called the PCPD and reported she had Valentin Cassadine in custody and needed backup. And if she didn’t, he’d finish what he started. Sonny told Laura he didn’t kill Valentin because of her and the kids. Because it would be terrible for everyone if Rocco’s (Finn Carter) grandfather killed Charlotte’s father. Carly gave Dante her statement. “I support you and I always will” Lois told Brook Lynn, adding Dante didn’t need to know. Chase told Lulu that Brook Lynn told him everything and no one was telling Dante. He also demanded Lulu leave his wife alone. Sonny told Laura he’s been thinking about what happened with their friendship. “I always considered you and Luke the family that I needed” Sonny told Laura. Chase accused Lulu of wanting to have something to hold over Brook Lynn’s head. Lulu told Chase that Dante deserved to know he had a child. “If you had a child out there, wouldn’t you want to know?” Lulu asked Chase. Felicia told Carly she needed to tell her what Bobbie (Jackie Zeman) would say. Valentin was arrested. Anna left Pier 55 with him and the PDPC cops. Jason told Jack that Valentin’s been dealt with for now but he (Brennan) hadn’t. And what happened to Carly was as much about him as it was about Valentin. Laura told Sonny it was like he was trying to make himself a better man. “It’s an incredible time to be your friend,” Laura told Sonny, who was happy they were friends again. Dante walked into the room and noticed the tension between Lois and Brook Lynn. Lois said they (she and Brook Lynn) needed some time apart so she was going to go upstairs and pack her bags. After Lois left the room, Dante assured Brook Lynn and Lois would come out of whatever they were going through stronger. Chase threatened to arrest Lulu for breaking into Martin Grey’s (Michael E. Knight) hotel room and anything else he could find if she didn’t stop inserting herself in Brook Lynn’s life. Anna came into the PCPD interrogation room and assured Valentin she wouldn’t be breaking him out because he had to answer for his crimes. Valentin said he could see in her eyes she still loved him. Anna said it didn’t matter because it was the end of the line for him. Jason told Jack it was his fault Carly got hurt.

Friday

Trina (Tabyana Ali) assured Kai (Jens Austin Astrup) he’ll do fine at the press conference. Curtis (Donnell Turner) reminded Jordan (Tanisha Harper) the reason why they were supporting Drew (Cameron Mathison) at the press conference. Drew told Portia how to introduce him at the press conference because there’s been some questions about his name lately. Willow (Katelyn MacMuellen) told Nina (Cynthia Watros) she didn’t need a realtor, what she needed was a mover. Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) was glad Lucky (Jonathan Jackson) hadn’t left without saying goodbye. Carly (Laura Wright) had a nightmare and called out for Jack (Chris L. McKenna). Alexis (Nancy Grahan) told Kristina (Kate Mansi) it was about Valentin (James Patrick Stuart). Valentin asked Jason (Steve Burton) what he was doing at the PCPD. “No such luck. It’s just me, your little brother” Lucas (Van Hansis) said entering her hospital room. Alexis told Kristina that Valentin wanted her to defend him. They were interrupted when Ava (Maura West) entered Miller & Davis. “I wouldn’t be here at all if it weren’t for you” Kai told Trina, then they kissed. Willow told Nina there’s no reason for her to buy her a house when there was a perfectly good house there. Drew assured Portia (Brooke Kerr) he wanted her to think of him as a friend. Curtis told Jordan that eventually Drew would slip himself up. Drew greeted Kai. Lucas told Carly her being poisoned was a lot of people’s business. Jason told Valentin what he wanted: “Everything that you know about Jack Brennan.” Lucky told Elizabeth he wished she’d wake him. He had a crick in his neck and blamed her couch. Elizabeth told Lucky maybe next time he should sleep upstairs. Valentin said he could give Jason leverage to use against Valentin. He told Valentin he couldn’t break him out but he’d owe him a favor in the future. Carly told Lucas to ease up. Trina told Curtis she felt like she should warn Kai that Drew couldn’t be trusted. Drew suggested Kai use his skills when considering what he’ll do after graduating from PCU. Portia was reading a file on Drew when she was interrupted by Jordan. Then they both left for the press conference. Ava asked for Alexis to arrange for the Cassadine Estate to give her a loan. But Kristina said there’s no way her mother would give a loan to the woman who killed her grandchild. “If you do this, you’re going to lose your children” Nina told Willow. Alexis told Ava the estate wouldn’t loan her the money. Carly told Lucas seeing Jack was her decision, not his. Lucas reminded Carly there was a long list of people who needed her. “I can’t lose you Carly” Lucas told Carly. Valentin told Jason that Jack being a local WSB agent could be a cover and he could still be the current head of the WSB. Valentin told Jason that Jack has done everything the WSB has asked. But last night wasn’t about the WSB but Carly. Curtis warned Kai that Drew couldn’t be trusted. But said the initiative was a good thing. “Do not let Drew get in the way of that,” Curtis said. Lucky was glad there was going to be a next time, adding what he felt about her was never going to change. Before going to work, Elizabeth said she felt the same way. Lucky offered to stick around and take a look at her refrigerator. He received a text from Kristina asking where he was and saying she needed to see him. Drew congratulated Kai on how well he did at the press conference. Nina let herself back into Drew’s house using the spare key Willow gave her. Ava came to Portia’s office and told her she caught the end of the press conference. Portia told Ava that Drew may think he’s won but he hasn’t. Lucas told Elizabeth he made his dream guy at the medical conference in Miami but ended up getting sick on him. Kristina came over to Elizabeth’s house. Lucky gave her the spare key to the back door. She told him about Ava’s money trouble, adding Ava shouldn’t get to be with her daughter when her daughter was dead. Valentin told Jason that Jack would get Carly unless Jason stopped him. Lucas commented to Elizabeth that he’s sure Marco was waiting for the man who got sick on him to call. Kristina told Lucky she’s tried not to be consumed with hate for Ava but can’t. Drew interrupted Ava and Portia and thanked Portia for her help with the press conference. Trina told Kai from what she saw, he could run for office someday. Councilman Boyle (Daniel Cosgrove) commented to Jordan that Mayor Collins was using Jordan to do her job. Nina went through Drew’s safe. Alexis met with Valentin who told her “There’s something I need you to do.” Jason returned to Carly’s hospital room and told her “There’s no lecture. You and Brennan are done. You can’t go near him again. Your life depends on it.”
